ReddXX Heh, units that always seem to survive longer than their suppossed to? Everything in Colton's army. stare If you all wouldn't mind, anyone here play Necrons? Colton has played for only a matter of days, but he's already had some..."ruff" games with me. I'll post this up in the Necron sub-forum as well, but any advice from anyone would be great. I really want you to be happy with these guys Colton, they have potential. 3nodding call arnold?

Necrons have awesome potential, during the 35,000 point mega battle the Necron player with us hell a table quarter and an objective by him self. His destroyers bailed me out by eating some SOB's before they attacked my Devy's in a building. Learning a new army is always hard the tactics change I am having a similar problem switching from Marines to Tau. Especially when some one is killing you, who knows your making a mistake here and there while playing there own army they have played for years..... stare :Edit:
I know a few of you guys where not please to see the Tactica forum closed. I have moved all of the threads from that forum into the correct corresponding army sub forum. You can continues any conversations you had going in there now in the individual army sub forums.

Issis, your having a hard time playing the tau? Jesus christ, they arent that hard to handle, just try to stay out of a battle with alot of terrain inless you use kroot, then, go for it.
I can play a pretty mobile tau army that matches up to eldar... when im in the mood for moving over 40 models in one turn. So... i use 2 devil fishes, loose like 2 squads to make up for the DF.
But normally, the only thing that moves in my army most of the time are my suits, and my fire warriors lay down a massive rain of pulse discharges over my field.... Generally i say my field when its like a dessert battle and i get to go first...
Ohh well, enough about me, what ales you in your fights?

123colt Oh! Wait did you say 35,000 points! ...and how long did this game last??? Now that i went back and did the math it's was a 34,000 point fight, pardon my calculation error. It Only took us six hours. We kept it down to seven minets a phase. It was actually a 17 on 12 in the fight. The imperials had more players in the fight so the judge spotted our side and extra 5,000 points to make up for the players we didn't have. Even with a few Good* players like my self and my Tau buddy, playing traitor for the day we still where out numbered 17 to 12.

What I mean by transistion difficultys is, I can no longer charge into combat and be almost 80% certain im gonna come out with guys left. Tau Hide and shoot, im more of an in your face type of person which is why Tyranids suite my style nicely. twisted

(when you get to them) I played orks for a little while but I stank at painting them and I could never get the hang of them, or Nids for that matter.
