Bloody indeed. before linkstone communications in Tier'dal informed the quartet from various parts of the city that were they were was not were they wanted to be. which ment meting at the docks.
"Gizdean, Valten...you boys get us transport. legally, Gizdean. the less blood on my robes the better. Lianna and I will keep our trail cold. the target port is called Vesendar. the information says the D'vinn Empire's center is not far from there. this honoursfield we're near and Vesendar are territories, nothing more."
the two women went one way, the males staying at the docks to arrange transport closer to the center of this frivolous 'empire'.

She was still petting Nym and cuddling him, ready to give him whatever he wanted. Socks by the millions and a bath everyday if he so desired. Of course he needed one anyway because he was sticky from the berry. Watching Sevilin, she noted his paranoid demeanor and the way he reacted. "Yes, it's me. Nym used some rune. It looks a bit like the one you used to use to talk to each other before but you modified it slightly." Shaking her head. "Raven...when are you coming home?"

And socks, and shiny things, and old jewelry...you have a lot of that don't you? And belly rubs and...
He rolled his eyes as if to say 'always when I don't need him doing things'. Though the ferret had a high drive to see everything go right. Or he was just trying to get himself spoiled. There were more important questions though at hand and he frankly couldn't stop the words before they came out of his mouth, "Does it matter? You have Nadai there." The look on his face saying he just caught what he said...not that it mattered. "When I can." When he was allowed or when he wasn't busy with something? Can what? Obscurity was hardly something Sevilin Inthara ever did though, it was an unusual statement that came out of his mouth there.

Was he serious? She stared at him for a few minutes in silence and shook her head. "Of course it matters, Sevilin. Nadai isn't you. He's just a friend, someone who shares an interest that I do and I can help him out right now. You're my lover, my confidante, the father of my children and my helper." Brushing her hand through her hair, she sighed. "What's stopping you?"

And no bows on my tail. I don't like that...hey are you even listening to me....
What was stopping him? Well that would be himself...though her words put his fears down some...she wouldn't lie to him like that right? Still didn't solve the matter of his son who quiet clearly was never going to be happy unless his father was miserable because it made the boy feel better. "Divine punishment." Shaking his head and giving a sigh. "I'll be there soon..." That divine prinicple was coming back in that as well...he knew by staying away he was perpetuating his oldest's son's fear of abandonment and he would only hate him more the longer he stayed away.

Divine punishment? What...? Zahara shook her head and went back to absentmindedly petting Nym, flipping him onto his back and rubbing at his stomach. "Sevilin, I don't really know what happened between you and Zykariel because he wont' tell me but nothing is being solved like this. He misses you and I miss you and I can only hope you miss us. Come home and talk to him. We'll all feel better once it's solved."

Solved? There was nothing to solve as far as he was concerned at this point. That boys's opinion barely changed. But a nod to the air that he was talking to. "By mid day." That was all he said before he slipped down out of the tree he was in, leaving her little viewing window clear...and then it duly wavered before it disappeared.
And he gave a high pitched squeal as he was shocked, as per usual when such things were cut off, and his fur puffed out followed by upset chitters and his upset movement. No! I wanted socks, not shocks!

She jumped in surprise at the squeal and then remembered the downside to contacting like this. If he cut it off before Nym could, Nym ended up shocked. "Aw, poor fuzzball." Picking up the ferret and cuddling him, then carrying him into the kitchen and feeding him a few more berries and some more meat. She had to cut him off eventually because Sevilin hated it when she overfed him and he got fat, his little belly hanging all the way to the floor. "How about a bath after breakfast, fuzzball?" Blinking as bonds activated and she knew her youngest was up.

Yes, I did my job, now time for rewards! Happily munching down what food was given to him like a greedy toddler who didn't know any better, and still sniffing for more even as she stopped handing over things. Bath yes. Deep bath, so I can swim around. I haven't swam around in a while. But more affectionate noises as she wasn't paying attention to him again and he wanted it.

Settling him in the crook of her arm, she carried him upstairs and gave a smile to the sleepy eyes of her current baby elf. He was growing up so fast...already able to walk and getting too big for his crib. It was actually a good thing because they'd need it for the newest one soon enough. The ferret was plopped in the crib with the baby and she busied herself tidying the room slightly while Kelligrin fully woke up.
He was delighted to see both his mother and the ferret and immediately lived up to his reputation as the best ferret hugger around. But soon he became antsy and lifted his arms in the 'pick me up' gesture, rattling the bars of his crib when he wasn't immediately pacified. "Mommy."
"I'm working on it." Impatient little elf. Scooping him out of the crib with smothering kisses, she picked Nym up by his scruff and let him cling to her top then carried both back downstairs. Youngest highchair-bound with a plate of food in front of him and a cup of juice and she turned her attention to the ferret, running a bath in the sink for him. "Guess who's coming home today? Daddy is!" Thus, poking her head outside. "Nadai, breakfast is ready."

Ferret hugger alert! Though he let the boy do some squeezing, giving protesting noises when he did too hard. But he was dropped soon enough and merely climbed up the back of the boy's nightclothes to rest halfway on his head as he moved about. A little flailing when he was picked up again but het settled easily as well. Since he'd had breakfast already he was quite excitedly sitting by the sink. He liked his baths in the sink, less getting lost than in the tub. Make sure it's warm, I like warm.
He looked up from his work, wiping the back of his hand across his forehead. He didn't know how he managed it, but he was always at least half dirty before breakfast. Setting aside his shovel he brushed himself off some and took off his gloves, leading out another horse to graze before he headed inside. "Already?"

Chuckling at him and shaking her head, she beckoned him inside and directed him to wash his hands in the bathroom sink since the other was being used as a ferret bathtub. "You'll find that once I actually get moving, it doesn't take me very long to serve it up. Besides, it's just the three of us this morning since Zykariel isn't going to be moving anytime soon." Sevilin probably wouldn't be very happy to know that his son had worn himself out keeping watch either. Setting a plate down before Nadai and a cup of tea as well as juice, she rested a hand on his shoulder then gave Kelligrin a bit more food and returned to Nym. Testing the water, she picked him up and set him inside, pulling out soap and whatnot. "You can play while I eat but then we're washing you up and out you get."

Yay it's warm! And it comes up past my chest when I'm sitting in it! Just like I like it! Then eat slow and I shall enjoy my water. Happy little chitters to her then as he promptly took to doggy - or rather ferret - paddling around the sink in circles, quite enjoying himself.
"I should come to expect such things from you." Moving off to wash up before coming back and taking a seat at the table, ruffling a sleep Kelligrin's hair some before giving a nod of thanks to Zahara. "Four hours will see him back to his feet and then I'm sure he'll be starving. He hasn't eaten much."

"He hasn't done much of anything." Which worried her quite frankly because it clued her in to the fact that something very wrong had occurred between Zykariel and his father. And neither were being forthcoming with information so she couldn't do a damn thing about it. That pissed her off. She ate mostly in silence, making sure her youngest was eating more than he was playing with, though she smiled when he gave a happy giggle to the hair ruffle. Her children seemed to genuinely like Nadai which was a very good thing in her opinion. She missed her girls though...
Nym's bath took the better half of her morning and then she proceeded to clean the entire house from top to bottom while Kelligrin played on the floor in various rooms. Hair tied up and one of her older outfits on, she was on her hands and knees scrubbing the dirt and food out of the grooves in the stone on the floor. She needed to get lunch on the table but first...time to clean out Nym's hidey hole.

He stopped in his brushing motions of Destyny at the sounds of footsteps and he looked over his shoulder to indeed see Sevilin walking past him, giving him his own look as the man passed on to the house, the porch and then into the house. Well this should be interesting.
He didn't even give Nadai a look, frankly he didn't want to think about the man at the moment. Stepping into the house he sniffed at the air, noting the distinct smell of clean that always made him feel a bit better and out of habit it left dirty boots by the door, wandering on to find his wife first. When he did, he tilted his head at her...she usually didn't deep clean like that. "Isn't that my job?"
