His mouth opened as though he wanted to say something but he snapped it closed and huffed loudly. "Fine." He knew better than to argue with his father. Kicking his bag so that his books spilled out, he scoffed but left them and stalked back out slamming his bedroom door.
His attitude was unprecedented and highly unexpected. She bit her lip, staring at him for a long moment and attempting to choose her words carefully lest she go off on him again. But before she could even speak Sevilin had jumped in and was immediately taking charge. "Stay quiet, Kelligrin's taking a-" Cut off by the slam which she heard reverberate through the house and a startled cry from the nursery. "Dammit. What could I possibly have done that was so terrible?"

He expected more from the boy, but apparently his son wasn't going to be obstinate or sling half empy insults like 'I hate you' around today. Though Sevilin had no doubt the boy was thinking it. An urge to clean at seeing split knowledge on the floor he got himself up and picked up the books, sliding them back in the bag. He didn't even know why the boy had even gone...he told him he didn't have to go. "He's trying to make you feel bad because then you'll lick his wounds for him like a wolf would for her pups. He's old enough to do that himself and he caused his own wounds. All the more for him to tend to himself."

Zahara made a face because she really didn't know what else to do. Listening to see if Kelligrin was going to settle back down, she finally gave up hope of that and went to get him, coming back and cuddling the upset baby elf. "I just wanted to tell him that I was pregnant and I'm sorry for making his life harder than it had to be." Shaking her head and bouncing Kelligrin who laid his head down on her shoulder. "Is he going to be like this from now on?"

"You can tell him when he's civil." It was simple as that as far as Sevilin was concerned. His son may be difficult but he was not going to allow him to act as he was, to whom he was, or in general. A raise of an eyebrow to her though and a an inquisitive look. "What do you mean, from now on? I'm sure it's a teenage phase. That friend of yours has just happened to feed the boy what he wants and not think about the repercussions.

Shrugging, she sighed. "I guess he's upset because I'm acting the way I am because I'm pregnant. So is this the way he's going to be because I am pregnant." Life was so hard sometimes. Kelligrin calmed significantly and she set him down on his own two feet. "I assume you're referring to Nadai? What are you talking about? Taking him in when he ran away? Sevilin, can you even begin to imagine what could have happened to him if Nadai hadn't?"

"I think more of the way you acted when he didn't understand that you were pregnant. Only thought you were being mean. He's seen you pregnant plenty of times and you're the exact same way everytime. He's just being difficult." She was trying to give Zykariel or Nadai rather excuses as well. "He would of drank away his sorrows at the tavern and eventually pass out and the owner would had stashed him in a room and charged his tab." He wasn't stupid, he knew where his children were mostly and what they did...they only thought he didn't know. "Would you feel better if I went and talked to Zykariel?"

"Well...I suppose that makes sense." Chewing on her lower lip and watching her son plop down and get fussy again. She was going to kill her oldest for waking that baby up. He needed a nap but there was no way he was going back down now. "But when he sobered up who knows where he would have gone. He could have gotten involved with a woman and caused all kinds of problems." Then glancing up and looking quite relieved. "Would you? Oh, Sevilin, I really would. Just tell him I do love him even if it doesn't seem that way."

"He's scared of women still." Getting himself up with a light sigh and brushing his hand through her hair, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "He knows you do, but pretends his doens't so he can get to you. Just remember that." Thusly heading upstairs to his son's room, knocking on the door but then walking in anyway. Respecting his privacy but asserting himself as a parent at the same time. "Why do you insist on making your mother feel horrible?"

He was frustrated and furious and debating on sneaking back out and going back to Nadai's. At least for a little while. Hmm...would his window give? About to try it when the knock came on the door and he leaped onto his bed and tried to act like he'd always been there, just lounging. A bored shrug. "She starts it. I just finish it. Not my fault she can't handle it."

"It's not your job to finish anything that your mother starts...especially when she doesn't intend to come off as she does. You finishing such things just make it worse for the both of you." Closing the boy's door to give them some privacy and he leaned back against it lightly. "You and I both know that you try to get her to come say sorry and be the one in the wrong and yes I understand why you do it...but Zykariel that doesn't help anything." His son already had enough problems with him, there was no need for problems between him and his mother.

"And it's not her job to start it either!" He always took mom's side. Always. "I wasn't doing anything wrong but she just started screaming at me like I'd murdered Kelligrin or something." Rolling his eyes and then frowning as his father mentioned that he knew his tactics. Dammit. "She does owe me an apology though. You agree with me on that, right?"

"She's pregnant, you know how she gets. She just should of mentioned it earlier instead of trying to plan surprise deliver of information." Nodding though to his son, "Yes she does. She told me to tell you that she's pregnant and that she loves you. You'll get your apology when you're being less confrontational. Yes things are a little crazy right now but we're all going to have to make due."

"Not an excuse," he grumbled, kicking his wall irritatedly. Dad was taking her side once again! But then apparently not. Blinking at his father for a moment, he nodded. "Good. There's no excuse for being that mean." Brushing off the rest of it then crossing his arms. "She's not going to change her behavior though so what's the point of apologizing? I don't care if she's pregnant or not though I'm guessing it wasn't planned."

"Maybe if you gently reminded her that she's heading down bad roads she'll stop skipping down them and you're the one being negative about this." If he was more hands on with his children in the ways of discipline, Zykariel may be even less happy than he was right now. "Neither were you." That was all he had to say about his son's barb to illustrate a point there. "Are you going to be civil or not? You can either stay up here or you can come out among the rest of us. Choice is yours, do what you will."

"You know she won't." Sniffing at his father's barb back and then crossing his arms. "And we all see how I turned out. Then again, that's not really your fault, is it? You were there from the beginning." Frowning like the child he sometimes acted like, he stretched out on his bed and shrugged. "I'll let you know when I've made up my mind. I'd appreciate my apology though."
