"Well I suppose if it makes you happy then I can't really say no now can I?" Giving her a light grin and a 'what else am I to do?' shrug as if he didn't have a choice but it wasn't a bad thing in this case. "You can send him if her wants, I don't mind having him around. Besides you know teenagers, he'll see something more fun and want is own break." Chuckling and pressing a kiss to Zahara's cheek before giving her a hug. "I really do apprecicate this though. Less odd and more steady a job is, the better. I'll see you tomorrow morning." Thusly giving a nod to Sevilin in passing, who gave him a dirty look...yeah he was so home.

"You certainly cannot. Especially in my current state." Nodding to that and giving him an answering chuckle. He had learned quite a bit about teenagers from his short little stint with one apparently. Squeezing him tightly to her breast, she stepped back and rested a hand against his own cheek. "What are you going on about? This is helping me, you silly man. You have no idea how much this is helping me." But walking him to the door, she leaned in the doorway and waved as he rode off, then closed it and came back to check on her son whose face was covered in melted chocolate from the cookies he was enjoying.

That only irritated him more...she even followed him to the door and watched him go in almost longing fashion. That just bristled his fur more and thus he was glad that he more or less had control of the sitution...well at least from his point of view. But he remained where he was leaning on his hip against the table. "How long is he going to be around?"

He sounded almost upset and she frowned at him then shook her head and picked up a soft rag, washing her son's face. "I really don't know right now, Sevilin. I know he'll work hard and he'll likely be around until well after the baby is born. I need help and Piper is just as busy as I am with children and Malik. Neither of us have the time to devote to the business anymore but I can't bear to see it go by the wayside either. I love my horses and I don't want to give them up." Pausing a moment as her son was finally putting up a fight. Setting the cloth on the table, she dropped a hand onto her hip and cocked a brow. "Do you not like him? I think he's wonderful."

Over a year? Hell, Sevilin could do that boy's job himself. "What are you paying him?" Because that came out of their pockets and yes he was a tad irked that she had done all of this without asking so much as an okay from him. More people to feed and provide for meant they had to spend more and they were already expecting a new baby. Wonderful however was not a word he'd use for that boy. Instead he merely gave one of his noises of distaste with a sneer. Bristled his fur further that she took so easily to what could very well be a rival of his for her affections. "I'm going to redo the budget..." Thusly heading up to their room to pull out the books and figure this all out.

She watched him go with a rather surprised look, shaking her head. She'd seen that sneer and frankly, she didn't understand it. Nor did she understand the irritation coming from his bond in waves. What the hell was his problem? She was the emotionally charged pregnant one. "I haven't decided yet. He's going to figure everything out and get back to me and then I'll likely double what he asks. He's going to be doing a lot of work and he deserves it." Following him upstairs and slapping a hand down on one of the books. "Sevilin. Do you have to do this right now? His paycheck will come out of the profits we make off the sale of Nightmares. Not our own personal funds."

Double what he asked? There was no need to double what he asked...that was just her being too favorable. Which was also worrisome to him...she usually understood how money should work around here, what with the kids they had and he didn't like hand outs from Malik. Gods he was going to have to ask Malik for a raise. A blink though as she kept him from getting at the books. "We have a baby to plan for as well and your nightmare fund is on a low note right now."

"The baby isn't going to cost us that much, Sevilin. We already have nearly everything we need and what we don't, we can easily get. Kelligrin will be out of that crib in another few months and we can give it to the baby." Frowning at him at his claim, she pulled out the books and flipped through noting that he was right. "Breeding season is coming up and with that we'll get an influx of stud fees. Not to mention the foals. They're still in training right now but once they're ready they will all sell for a pretty penny. I haven't told him his salary yet but he understands that it might fluctuate depending on what we can afford or not." Resting a hand on his shoulder. "What's got you so worried? Really."

"Well I have to account for extra food, the girls need to split up their rooms which means I have to account for new furnitiure and all included, Kelligrin needs a room and such and that's all going to be happening in the next year and you know it. On top of that if you're going to be feeding this boy then I have to account that into things as well and you've never cooked cheaply." Of course personal reasons aside he was being quite truthful. "Just a lot to think about."

He was right and she hadn't really thought about most of it to tell the truth. But she'd already promised Nadai a job and she wasn't going to take that away from him. She knew how badly he needed it. "He's hardly a boy, he's a man. But regardless, we should have plenty of food. I always make enough for you and Zykariel to eat at least six plates if you so desire though I never let you have that much." Settling on the edge of the desk, she began flipping through the books and frowned. "I think I might have the furniture aspect taken care of but it will cut down on our profits. A trade of sorts." Picking up a pencil and doing some quick calculations. "I need stud fees. I can get those."

He begged to differ..Nadai was a boy to him and that came with problems but also served a nice slice of self satisfaction for Sevilin in old station thinking. Sitting there in his chair he let her flip pages and what not of various books. "You're planning on trading horses for furniture and the like? You better make sure you don't get outed on that kind of dealing." Someone could get away with underpricing her and that would be bad. "The base fact still remains that we need to plan and I have to plan within a plan because I have to expand things." Which meant he'd be going from working to Malik to working on the house, most likely all on the same days and what not. He ate a lot when he did a lot of runics and such.

"Not to worry, it will all be fair and if it isn't then he'll have me to deal with, now won't he?" She had no intentions of letting him cheat her out of what she deserved and would indeed get. "If you feel you must then do so. But remember, we still need to have a conversation with your son when he gets home." Pausing as she listened and then frowned. When had it gotten that late? "And there he is."
"Where is everybody?"

He resisted the urge to roll her eyes at her...she always forgot how cautious a woman she became when she was pregnant. INtimidation was something that wouldn't be in her arsenal for a year. Looking over to the direction the sound of opening doors and the like came from then. "We're in here. Your mother says we need to have a conversation."

She cut him a look and sighed in exasperation. Was he really going to be that oblivious? He was the one who said it was time to do so shortly after Zykariel left. Resting a hand on his shoulder to give her son at least the illusion of a united front, she beckoned him in. "Zykariel, we're both very pleased you've come home but we are still quite upset that you left. Do you have anything you need to say?"
The teenager shrugged and dropped his bag on the floor then leaned against the doorjamb. "You were being a b***h for no good reason. I got pissed off and walked out. I'm back now, what's the big deal?"

She was looking for an apology and obviously the teenager wasn't going to give one or even think that he deserved one. And most likely if Zykariel pushed hard enough he would make Zahara the one who was in the wrong when it was the boy and then he'd have his mother right back to spoiling him out of guilt. Not this time. "Until you can learn to be civil, you can go to your room and stay there. Maybe there you'll figure out what responsibility and selflessness is."
