Yes!!! I survived the Christmas (c)rush as well as Senior's Day with the help of my fellow (sick) co-worker. Apparently, this is the first time she caught a flu virus. During the week, my boss told me to work on stock while she goes on cash (this is her first time to take over as a main cashier). I told her what she thinks about my job and this is her reply:
"It's okay. Time goes by fast when it's busy. Too busy and time goes by slow. My eyes are killing me. Look at screen, look at money. Take money from customer, look at screen, look at money. Give change back. How can you look at customers if you keep looking at screen and money at the same time?" sad
Anyway, my supervisors are extremely not happy about the cashier who deliberately took the week off. One of them had brought a small gift for her but she was disappointed and not too sure what to do with it.

FieryLavaElf One of them had brought a small gift for her but she was disappointed and not too sure what to do with it. Give it to you instead. Also when she comes back to work, put a cigarette out in her eye for emphasis. :3

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. Me and my boyfriend spent the christmas eve at my parents house eating and just relaxing. It was really nice. smile
We had to leave home bit earlier though because we had to get home to make the snow work. We have lots of snow in here again and it started to pile up again on Sunday. This is odd because these two winters in a row have been really cold and really snowy. We've had some low pressure areas circling around and when you combine that with the freezing air from Siberia you'll get snow. I love this, but some people like to complain about everything. rolleyes I read from news that other parts of Europe and also US have had their share of the snow this year.
