"That is good to hear." Warhammer said rather joyously. "Tell me, Tanundra, Do you fear what the Captian might do?"

No. I only fear that he might hurt my Oracle in some way. But I fear this of all people He had lost enough of them to be suspicious. Trusted freinds had turned out to be killers. Oracles were not loved. Not even by their families.

"The Captain lives by his word. He never goes against it. It is strange how he can live so lawfully yet be an instrument of Chaos." Warhammer watched Meilikki sleep. "The Captain does not need an Oracle. He only sought her out because he heard about her from some merchants. He does enjoy to speak with people who are different from everyone else."
"In his homeland, there is no peace for Captian. Each day is another on the verge of destruction. His mother rules him with an iron fist, and forces him to lead her soldiers to victory, be it over Leafless Wood Elves, Moonless Elves, or Below high Elves, or even Drow should someone step to close. The infinate number of wars has caused the soceity to value killers, a menotneous layout of soldiers. His Drow crew are nothing more than distant members of his family, forced to be her by his will, but not regretiing it. OUt here, they can actually see the chaos... When you are in the eye of the storm, everything seems peaceful. But, being the winds of change..."
"The Captain will never betray the Oracle, then again, you have probably heard such utterances from others only to be disappointed. In all the long years I have served this Choas, he has always headed his word."
"If he didn't, I would be dead, and my kingdom crushed. Since I am alive, and my people thrive, I trust him completely."

Then we share a similar ground. And I will believe you until proven otherwise. he sighed. The captian and the Oracle had sometihng in common then. The had both destroyed so much in thier liftimes...and Meilikki was only twenty-five.
When Meilikki was young, she made some mistakes in the advice she gave. She read the future wrong. he shook his head. There was a good reason for living in the catacombs, making it difficult to get to her. She fears destroying people. Their lives, normal in ways she cannot have, balance on the knifeblade of her guidence.
She may crave a normal life, envey others of it, but she does not enjoy taking away the normalcy. Once a person consults with an Oracle, there life is enver the same. they beggin to believe that they no choices. And life become meaningless.

Warhammer nodded in agreement. "Is life worth living if you know your future? A destiny is not so forboding, as it is still uncertain path... Not every progeny survives to claim his place." The minotaur looked at Tanundra and smirked, if it could be called that, "You and I have much in common."

As our masters have much in common. He sighed, watching his mistress, wondering if she was dreaming or not. She might like the experiance. Unfortunatly most Orcles knew their fate, though it was difficult for them see their own futures. So far history has always repeated itself. Man does not like answer, kills Oracle. Oracle reads wrong, mob kills her instead. And every time they had caught in unaware.
I think Meilikki must have liked your captain

"He has a way with women, but seldom abuses it." Warhammer replied. "His graduation ceremony scarred him from some vices."
"The Captain was not pleased to learn of her capture, nor does he blame you or anyone other than himself. He failed to forsee this; which to him is a failure to live. To be chaos, is to know chaos. This..." Warhammer shock his head, the long soft fur flowed about his back and shoulders. "I can tell you this much, the Captian will sooner keep her locked away then allow her to be harmed again, but..."
"The captain always trusts people to be themselves, and only punishes those who are not."
"Probably, that is why he is moody towards Malik."

Meilikki might have a way with men, if any would get close enough for her to try. A little thought. But then again, she might not even try. Tanundra didn't pretend to know about the drow society, but living as long as he did he could guess at what "ceremonies" might be like.
Tanundra growled. Malik
The Oracle saved his life once, and he thinks he owes her nothing. She told me as much when she helped his fiance. He would not reckognize the help he was given. Even I was sent to keep his mizerable hide unscathed didn't mention how he had attacked the drow though...even though it was for naught, it was still being done for him.

"I do not know Malik, or anything of him, other than the Captian feels it is his duty to annoy him." Warhammer said calmly, "I can understand your feelings, I guess the Oracle was under the impression that the Captain would use Malik to destroy the fleet... He was going to do that, but she said not to let harm befall them, so he completely changed his plan. They were the bait, not the trap." Logical enough, Meilikki underestimated Tarathiel, which lead to her capture through sheer dumb luck.
"The Captain seems to be able to cause more chaos when he is trying to be nice."

Underestimated? I would not think so. She was not concered with Tarathiel the time she sent me away. She was focusing attention on Dimitri. He looked at the minotaur. She was right. He did send out the fleet. They simply never made it there.
He sighed. She had become frightened. And she acted rashly. A look too her sleeping body. She probably feels that she has paid a just price for being wrong.
He shrugged. Chaos is not so bad a thing.

"But you do see, in her advice she changed the future. The Captian took her message to heart and did not allow harm to befall Malik and Piper, though Piper seems quite willing to toss the Captain's efforts away." The minotaur added. His voice was somewhat enlighted, yet totally confused. "For a moment, I thought I saw a connection between some of the Captain's actions, but that does not explain everything."

Aye. I do see. That is why she hates her job. Her advice changes the future. But she cannot sit idly by and which things pass, when she has a chance to make things turn out for the best. No smile this time. She does not want her life to become redundant.
Of course, there could always bee some larger scheme to things that she has not yet told me about.

The very air of the fortress was thick with tension. What with the killing of an ogre, and the taking of a collar. Not to mention that both Mistress and Master were gone. If they came back and found all this out and the even the mess...it would mean Piper letting Malik loose on them. Or worse... they all got thrown to the breakers. Mistress Piper liked her floors clean of blood and the like. A dead body certainly would not pass with the elf. Thus they went about cleaning up the mess their unknown assailant had left in his wake of mischief.
Of course that was only half the mentality of them. The others...were keen to the changes that had gone on. Piper was less demanding and seemed to follow Malik's lead. She wasn't screaming at them, hitting them, throwing things at them, didn't even threaten to use a collar. On the other hand, Malik was more so demanding and more outspoken where before he would quietly stand off to Piper's side with hands clasped behind his back. Like an attack dog waiting for a command really. Tides had seemed to turned, but they couldn't figure the slightest clue why.

"I do not think she would keep unnecessary secrets from her guardian." Warhammer pondered for a moment. "What do you think my Captian is up to? Perhaps your neutral eyes can spot something my aged ones cannot."

He chuckled. No. She would not keep secerets from me. He knew her too wel. He always knew his Oracles well.
I am not prone to speculation much. He had blood on his hand early. I assume therefor that he is...busy with chaos.
