Ovaan's eyes widened with alarm when she pulled a knife out, and he almost leapt to his feet. He had assumed she was un-armed. Only his pain kept him where he was, though he gave her a very distrusting, almost fearful look as she cut his shirt. He hissed in pain as she began to clean his wounds. He answered her through clenched teeth. "A little lost brat with too much of an imagination." He gasped in pain. "Stupid kid nearly tore me in half before I could get him down."

"Sorry should have said it was going to sting." Kelala whispered softly as she finished up cleaning the wounds. Placing the bloody towl down she grabbed the bottle. Gently she rubbed the slave into the wounds.

Ovaan's eyes were a deep red as he glared in pain at the floor, one hand clutching the back of his head as he held his arm up so she could examine his side. This was a strange sensation. He was used to taking care of himself whenever he got hurt, and just toughing it out. Now here this girl was, helping him, and now he didn't know what to do with his hands. He tug his fingers into the back of his neck as he grit his teeth, the other hand on his hip. His whole body was tense. "That's....alright." He hissed softly. The pain was beginning to die down to an annoying sting.

Kelala blew cold air on it hoping to sooth the pain. By the looks of the wound it wouldn't be infected if they kept cleaning it. "We need to get your shirt off if you want me to put bandages on." She said gently as her hands slowly reached to help him with the tattered and bloodied shirt.

Ovaan looked over at her worriedly. Take his shirt off..? In front of her?! To him, that would be like being naked. He swallowed, trying to rationalize. If he wanted to stop the wound from infecting, he'd have to take the shirt off, so she could help him bandage it. It wouldn't be so bad if he was doing it alone, but she was here. And he couldn't very well send her out, now could he? It was out there. Nodding wordlessly, he helped her pull his shirt over his head, clutching the shirt to his chest with the hand of the uninjured side of his body, trying to hide as much of himself as he could. Sure, he spent enough time without a shirt during the day, when he was all alone, and no one was around for miles... But, now...why did she have to be here?
He kept himself occupied trying to think of how he was going to repair the basically ruined shirt. Blasted kid. Clothes weren't exactly easy to come by when you lived all alone in a forest.

Kelala began to dress the wound with the bandages. Being as gental as she could as she did so but made sure that they were secure. After a few moments she tied the bandage and pulled away. Looking down at her hands as she attempted to hide the small blush. OF course she had sen a man before without his shirt on for this wasn't the first tiem she has dressed a mans wound. But for some reason with him and how he acted around her...it was different.

He squirmed uncomfortably as she wrapped the bandages around his body, the feeling of being naked and the pain making the situation almost unbearable. The moment she released him he fled, moving away from her swiftly and pulling out another shirt. He put it on quickly, despite the pain, and didn't relax again until it was securely on. He still wanted to wrap his arms around himself protectively, however. He gasped softly when moving his arm hurt his side. Slowly, he sank back down onto the bed, as it was the highest -and softest- surface in the room and would therefore put less tension on his side as he sat. He leaned carefully against the wall, his eyes closed. After a moment, his eyes still shut and not even turning towards her, he muttered a gruff "Thank you."

"Your welcome." Kelala said softly as she got up. Remembering that he didn't want her on his bed. Getting up she smiled warmly at him before she turned and began to walk where she slept the night before.

Ovaan felt like he should call after her. He had the odd feeling that he'd somehow insulted her in some way. "Wait..." He murmurred, pausing as he tried to decide what exactly she was waiting for. "What was your life like, before...?" He asked finally, trailing off. Before what? Before she'd trapped herself in this forest, before she'd met him?

Kelala paused and looked bac at him smiling weakly. "Full of hardships and alot of traveling." She said softly as her tone went sad. Once again she looked at her make shift bed.

He sat up, intrigued, wincing slightly at the pain in his side but mostly ignoring it. "How so?" He asked, grey eyes studying her gold ones. Her tone was suddenly melancholy. Perhaps there was more to this woman than he'd originally thought.

"I have no family nor home thats how." Kelala said as she crossed her arms and looked down. Taking a few deep breaths she made sure that she wasn't going to cry. Slowly she began to walk over to the mound of blankets.

Ovaan watched her, feeling sad. He was about to say "Neither do I." But the more he thought about it, the more he realized that he did in fact have a home. And family. Friends, at least. The birds, and the butterfies who flocked to him when he was lonely. They weren't very talkative, but they were there when he needed them. That's what family was, wasn't it? "Oh." He murmurred, his voice thick with sadness. Perhaps empathy was going a little too far. He felt like he was about to start crying.

Lowering herself down onto the make shift bed she wrapped a blanket around herself. Laying down with her back facing him a few tears streamed down her cheeks as she closed her eyes.

Good greif. Ovaan thought helplessly, rubbing at his own eyes. What do I have to worry about? They're her problems. Sheesh. But he stood up and walked over to her despite how much his side hurt, feeling that he owed her at least a bit of comfort for the heck he'd put her through these past few days, and the way she'd helped him just now. He knelt beside her, ignoring the pain and said enthusiastically, almost naiively, "We can fix that! You can stay here with me. Then you'll have a home and a family!"
