====> from Courtyard.

Aleck dropped the butt of his cigarette into a tray and stepped through the hallways towards the Cafeteria. He stepped up to an icebox and got himself a bottled water and grabbed a small bowl of salad and fruit.

He was never a big eater and he was still getting accustomed to the new surroundings. He wasnt one for much change, going from an inner-city detention centre to now in the middle of nowhere. He hadn't even unpacked his bags yet.

He sat a lone table and watched a few of the students grab some lunch, he hunkered over a bit and stuck a shreds of carrot and fruit into his mouth, washing it back with a quick gulp.

He nodded. "I can easily arrange that. There is plenty of time between classes to do so. So, which would you rather, brass or woodwind? Woodwinds generally use reeds, except for flutes, and are usually higher on the grand staff. They aren't really any harder to play, it's just how they're built. Brass are usualyy lower, ranging from Euphonium, which has the greatest range of any instrument in my opinion, and goes all the way down to the Tuba, which is the lowest instrument outside of strings."

Smiling, Elizabeth looked at her teacher.

"I'm glad. There are some teachers that wouldn't give extra help, then punish you when you can't do the work that's expected. I think I'd like to play a woodwind instrument, either the flute, or something in the middle range. Probably a flute though. I've always liked flutes. Or what instrument would you suggest for someone who has a minute amount of knowledge about music?"

Marcus enter the cafiteria and looked around and sniffed. He founded the line and slipped into it. He grabed a passing tray as he glanced at the food items on display. He collected a small pile on his tray, when he got to the cashier. "I.D. card?" The old lady behind the cashrester. Marcus looked defudled. "Oh," He said hurriedly before handing her the card. She swipped it and handed it back. Marcus stuffed the card in his pocket before moving off. He found a nice spot on a almost empty table."Itadakimasu!" Marcus said with a little bob of his head before digging in. He bumped as he went for a bite his roll disapearing from his plate. "Hey, give that back!" He said loudly as two more items of food vanished. Soon as his head moved about to get the food back his plate was all but empty. He sighed and bent to eat what was left.

"There really is no instrument that is easy for begginers just by the way it's built, well except maybe the flutaphone, but that's kid's stuff. I am most certian that you'll be able to pick up the flute or sax, or clarinet, or whatever you play very well. Now, it appears it's time for our appointment. I'll see you down in the band room when you're ready. I'll go ahead and set things up."

He got up and threw his half-eaten spaghetti away and moved down to the band room.

Marcus sighed and looked at his empty tray. He was still hungry as he picked up his tray and headed over to get it cleaned. He frowned and looked around heading for the doors. He opeened the doors heading to the main hallways. I hate this place. He thought to himself for the 5th time this day.

Yuusuke sighed as he walked into the cafeteria. Now that he had put himself here, he had to get SOMETHING. He sighed, walking up to the cooler, taking out two sodas, and he went up to the cashier, swiped his card, and bowed to the lady. He put a soda in each pocket, and walked back out into the hallways.

Elizabeth smiled. "I'll be there as soon as I finish these final few bites and clean up. I shouldn't be more than fifteen or twenty minutes."

Watching her teacher leave, Elizabeth smiled nervously. I hope picking out an instrument isn't too bad. Well it shouldn't be, it should be fun. I wonder how Akimo is doing... Shaking her head, she thought I won't worry about him till I see him again. That way no one'll find out and we won't get in trouble, yet.

Finishing up her food, and cleaning up her tray, Elizabeth gathered her books and followed her teacher to the band room.

Miko entered the cafeteria tucked securely beside Nyas. She stepped away only long enough to snatch up a couple trays, running back to Nyas to hand her one.

As she made her way through the line, loading up her tray with sandwhich, a bowl of rice, a bowl of soup, and of course 2 glasses of juice and a couple donuts. As her stomach gave another grumble, she placed a donut between her lips, using her teeth to hold it i place.

"Nanahara!" the young lunch aide called sharply. "You know the rules! no eating until you get out of the line."

Miko bowed her head apologetically, a hand rising instinctively to her collar as she handed the young woman her ID. She removed the donut from her mouth, placing it back on the tray, a tiny bite missing.

"Gomenesai, it's just, I'm staaaaaaaaarrrving."

"Not my problem. You watch yourself, missy." The woman scanned the card and passed it back to the girl, giving her a disapproving eye.

As Miko accepted the card, slipping it into her pocket, she had a brief fantasy of mimicking Nyas, tossing the bowl of miso in the woman smirking face. She sighed, picking up her tray and leaving the line, mumbling under her breath as the daydream dissipated.

He sighs a bit, flinging his nicely styled hair with his right hand and sighs. "Well...I do need to find someone to sit with here I guess...blendin in is important..." He turns himself to move into the lunch line. As he makes his way in line, he grabs some juice and some rice. Not really a big eater, that was all he cared for.

"You new here young lady?" said the lunch aid to him.

He smiles sweatly and said in his soft voice, "Oh why yes I am, I stand out that much?"

"Dont get cute, just reminding you we wont have anyone acting up, so acting proper around here would be in your best of interest."

He gives the lunch aid a sour glare "Oh yes...I will be sure you will have none of my antics..." The glare gave an odd feeling of dread over those he shows it too, and earned him a wide eyed glace as he walked out of line. "Now...where ta side...friendly and trustin would be a good start...but how will I find someone with those qualities here?"

For the third time that day, Nyas entered the cafeteria. Maybe this time she would actually get to finish her meal. At least it was a different lunch lady now. She grinned as Miko bounced around, gathering more donuts. She shook her head, still not quite understanding Miko's obsession with them. She picked up a plate of beef skewers and a bowl of rice. She never did like miso. A bottle of melon soda completed her meal, and she handed her card to the lunch lady.

"Well now, aren't you the one who was so disrespectful to Rosie this morning? I'm surprised you're still on your feet after detention with Taiki-sama." she said, with a condescending sniff.

"Well now, depends on your definition of disrespectful, ne?" Nyas said, raising a brow as she replaced her ID in her pocket. "And if that's the worst detention has to offer, I don't think I'm all that scared. Hell, my old drill seargent was tougher than the gorrilla man, and she was shorter than you are."

She turned away from the stunned lunch lady, and followed Miko to the table.

"Oi, but why does everyone seem so shocked?" she said, seating herself with a grin. "These people don't actually expect me to roll over and play dead do they? Do I look like a dog to them?"

Miko giggled, amazed. She had started to seat herself across the table from Nyas, but quickly changed her mind. Instead, she took the seat directly beside the older girl, scooting it even closer. Picking up the donut she had already bitten she smiled up at Nyas.

"Hai, actually, they do, Nyas-sama. " She sunk her teeth into the plain donut before continuing on. "Lots of kids come in here all full of hot sauce and vinegar, ne? they tend to knock that right out of you eventually. One way or another."

As she took another bite, she looked up at Nyas, wondering how long it would take to make her a proper Midori student. Hopefully she never would be. Miko liked her fine just the way she was. Smiling, she took another bite of her donut, before pulling her soup closer.

Nyas chuckled and leaned back in her seat, her back cracking.

"Hot sauce and vinegar, eh? I kinda prefer lighter fluid. Bit more...combustible, ne?" she chuckled again and picked up one of her skewers. "I bet they just want to try, ne?"

She bit into the meat, and chewed thoughtfully for a few minutes. She could do one of two three things...And as death was currently lacking on her list of things to accomplish, that left two.

She could do as they wanted, and go belly-up...

Or she could simply bide her time. Let them think they had beaten her...

She decided that was, quite frankly, the better of the two options.

---> From school store

Yoku opened the doors once again.
It was 7 Pm...time for evening dinner.
He silently waited in the line and got himself some hot soup and some cooked Brussel sprouts.
He payed for the food and looked around if there where any empty tables left in the cafeteria but he wasn't really lucky.
He slowly walked towards an table where 2 girls where sitting. One of them had cat ears but he soon saw it was somekind of an headband.

"Excuse me, can i sit here?" He asked pollite. He didn't look at them directly.

He makes a dash to a table that wasnt clear, but did have a bit of space at the end so that he was at least two spaces away from the others sitting there. His eyes hunting around. "I need to latch to someone. If someone is without friends, they are more easy to pin down when someone 'troublesome' happens." He was having his eye drawn to a male walking over to a couple of ladies, Maybe one of them would be good. But Kimimaru thought it best to just watch over them a bit longer.
