[Ariane entering from the Tent.]
Rped out attack: To say that there was chaos was pretty much an understatement at this point in time - they had the 'Soul Harvester' trapped, but the order to attack meant that that trap could possibly break... Even Dr. H was on the battle field, and she had never seen the hunter in action before.
Even if he seemed to be doing more experimenting.
<BOOBS.>
"I'm picking the target this time," She rolled her eyes, muttering to herself as she scanned the battlefield; most of their opponents looked oddly human, something she was still trying to come to terms with, although that just made the white horse stand out even more. She held the chains of her weapon between her fingers and tugged, causing the chains to both lengthen and thicken as the balls on either side grew it size.
She then wasted no time in charging forward with her weapon, running with it effortlessly despite how heavy it looked, "Whoa horsey whoaaaa~" She grinned almost maliciously, halting beside the horse as she took a stance - legs apart for balance - and swung one of the steel balls out, aiming for its hind leg.
<Well, at least I can't see its dong as it's a ghoul horse?>
'Good for you.'
HP: 37/40 Fear/Charge Attack: 1/3 [Damage: 9-6=3] Battle Cry: Ariane's balls grow bigger as they aim to knock out the opponent. 'Nuff said.

Clarice had tried to just turn away, and be a proper impersonal assistant to the doctor. The pendants were her least favourite piece of equipment, no matter how useful or fascinating or fun, her superior happened to find them. She often ended up playing the good cop to Dr. H's deranged psychopath bad cop, but really? Who wouldn't appear to be the good cop in that situation? It didn't she mean she actually liked the little monsters they happened to capture. She had her own weapon, they worked well together. She was on friendly terms with several hunters who weren't fantastic creeps. She liked making things that defied the rules of reality written in boring old books by boring old men every time they thought they had solved the universe. Everything after that was simply part of her job.
So when she broke out into laughter at the captive's newest angle, it was surprised and involuntary and she nearly choked on her spit. It took a few moments of coughing, but once she'd settled, the assistant ended up both grinning and glaring incredulously at the demon. "You would be carried around everywhere. You would never have to lift a finger or claw again. You would be cherished and praised for simply existing. You would be charged by your hunter and never have to worry about gathering FEAR to yourself like the adults of your world. If physical action is your main concern, then would you rather just get transformed now? I'll even carry you there and save you the hardship of walking."

Davey was still growling to himself. It was quieter now that Dr. H had wandered further away and Clarice's cheers had stopped, but unfortunately Davey's cool down period was longer than the attention spans of the scientific duo. He was still mad-eyed when Gale drew Davey's attention back to the other Hunter. Knowing the reactions he usually got when he wasn't angry, Davey quickly tried to tone it down. It wasn't Gale's fault, even if he was still bringing up the sore point. ...Well, Davey couldn't really fault him for that. Anyone would be curious after others made such a big deal over it. (Davey completely didn't help in not making his lack of arm a big deal, either.) "It's hard enough to get used to without all the comments," he eventually answered. His voice was still tight, as was his grip on Azrael, but he looked less like he was going to murder the first person who spoke to him. "Thoughtless, or entirely on purpose like those two." Davey didn't remember Gale being on the island, or having mentioned a number during training when everyone else was bonding over their shared teams. (And who was Davey meant to bond with? Caelius? "Hey, remember that time you convinced me to slit my own throat...?" Yeah, maybe not.) In that case, Gale had probably never seen the fully able-bodied D7, or the knife-wielding 'Reaper'. "I was a soldier before this," he said abruptly. "Maybe I should be glad that this-" he jerked his head towards his left shoulder, "doesn't get me kicked out of here like it would back in the Army. But it's a b***h to get used to." Davey would probably be pissed off even if everyone was blind and couldn't see or mention the injury. The fact that they could, and did, just made the existing problem worse. The hooded head gave a considering tilt when Bix spoke. "He did seem pleased with his new ghosts, I suppose." But was proving to the doctor that Davey wasn't a liability really worth all the taunts? 'No.' ~No.~ he and Azrael decided at the same time. Davey snorted, mood lightening as he stared down at his sword. "I'm surprised he managed to piss you off. Aren't you usually saying the same thing?" If Azrael had eyes to narrow, he would have. Inside Davey's mind, it felt like Azrael's focus has narrowed instead, a sharpening of the presence that resided in the corner in his mind. ~That deranged monkey, questioning my choice of a Hunter? As if I would choose something sub-standard! He's been sampling his own torture devices and fried his brain if he thinks I'd stick with someone useless.~Davey tried to parse that from Azrael-speak to something more normal. His mood lifted further, one corner of his mouth twitching up into a half-smile. "So in other words, only you're allowed to insult me?" ~... Shut up, Davey.~

"You'd make a rather good demon yourself, you know," Barth said, hearing the long, well-reasoned stack of half-true words. He'd said them enough times, and he knew his own arguments. He also knew why he got up in the afternoon, or got up at all. Why he was still attending this stupid school. Why he had volunteered, twice, for this field trip in the first place.
Being an avarice demon was ever one-part indulging in your sin, and one part encouraging others to do the same. Death was the ultimate non-action, and he did not want to be dead. And he had no interest in these human's causes.
"But you can't tempt a tempter, and you're barking up the wrong gate. I'd be a pointy or blunt object, used for bludgeoning things, or shooting them, or stabbing them. As I said. I'm not looking for a military career. ...With any luck, a different ride is on its way. Or a very angry spirit that you seem to have upset. I can wait."

The assistant sighed a bit at the...well, it was possibly a compliment, but whatever. "I never end up as a satisfying demon, though..." she muttered more to herself than anything, before directing her attention back to their captive. "If you aren't looking for that kind of career, then why did you even come here? I've heard the word field trip a few times, but this place isn't exactly built for sightseeing, now is it?"
"Clarice..." the doctor had strolled slightly closer, though his attention was still on the field, "....he looks a bit raggedy. What's your opinion on yonder Quasimodo, dissipation or capture? Wait no, hmmm...hold that thought. It looks like Mr. Brant is starting to make friends. I can't say that I approve of this, but I suppose I won't begrudge the lad a helping hand."

THE GAUNTLET PART 2It was pure and utter chaos. Or at least, for the most part (as Dr. H seemed to be having the time of their life). Students scrambled left and right, as Hunters simply eyed them, waiting on the kill.
The chains themselves surrounding the Soul Harvester seemed to power down, she shook, and the earth quavered, a tremour that knocked the entire battlefield occupants down to their hands and knees. The efforts of those who had made it past the trainees was paying off. It was just a few more traps a few more and-
- "<******** pests" Caelius snarled and lunged, even as the Soul Harvester screamed in protest - the scythe leapt into the air like a signal - and the ground twisted in the wake of the shockwave, hitting some of the rescuers before they had time to blink. He viciously brought his weapon back up, ready to finish any remaining stragglers -
- and then the Soul Harvester screamed, the very molecules in the air vibrated, the world seemed to turn pure white, everything unbearably bright, the sound a roar echoing in everyone's minds -
- and then a silence as she finally stopped, body loosing its brilliant colour, chains still strung tightly around her.
The entire battlefield was silent, Hunters and Amity students alike half-collapsed, half-lying on the ground. Some of them began stirring: it was far from over.
GAUNTLET ROUND 2 RULES:HALLOWEEN STUDENTS (INVITED BY RP ONLY):- - Please note: if your student is still in a room, they have no clue this event is going on. - You MAY use Pumpkin Pills for this gauntlet run. - YOU WILL BE ROLLING THREE POSTS. Please roll and then edit your post accordingly. MAKE SURE to title your posts as FIRST ROLL, SECOND ROLL, or THIRD ROLL. You can use the form below to help you with the formatting. - If your HP hits 0, you will dissipate regardless of the situation and end up back in home base, where you can return to your rooms accordingly as per rules but you cannot return here. - You can post more than the requirements, but please keep them minimized as to not overwhelm the GMs. - Pins are a little wonky, thanks to the Soul Harvester's Fear: you are free to rp out your students Natural form or regular student form (but the rolls and results are still the same). Make sure to clearly mention in your third post what your character looks like (natural or sealed), or a brief idea of it so the Hunters know how to explain it while they are targeting!
IF YOU ARE STILL IN THE BATTLEFIELD:
- Roll a 100-sided dice. IF you roll a 60 or less you are STILL stuck in the war zone. POST AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR POST DEFEND or HEAL accordingly, make sure to include your hp value, and a small descrip of your character.
- If you rolled OVER 60, you are now at the trap zone, where the Soul Harvester is located. POST AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR POST: DISABLING TRAP. You must disable ALL TEN traps. Each student in this zone can disable one trap per turn before you can make it into the tent!
IF YOU WERE DISABLING A TRAP LAST POST:
- Roll a 100-sided dice. If you roll less than a 60, you have been INSTANTLY KO'ed. Your character has dissipated and gone back to home base. Once they have reached the cooldown time necessary, they can continue back in their rooms. Make sure to include KO'ed in your post. Edit your first post accordingly.
- OTHERWISE if you roll higher than a 60 last post, you can continue disabling a trap. Edit your post to reflect that accordingly, make sure to include the term DISABLING TRAP.
For Halloweeners:
ROLL NUMBER HERE (first, second or third)
Rped out post: Rp it okay. HP: List your HP pool and keep track of it. IF YOUR HP IS ZERO YOU ARE DISSIPATED, MAKE SURE YOU CALCULATE YOUR HP ACCORDINGLY FROM LAST ROUND. HUNTERS: - PLEASE SELECT a TiHer that has indicated in their post that they are DEFENDING OR HEALING, if you pass round one first (see below). - Please refer to the battle guide! You will need to post your status with each action post! - In this thread, battle will proceed in ROUNDS. If you have a successful roll, one attack per round please.
ALL HUNTERS THIS ROUND:
- Roll a 100-sided dice. IF YOU ROLL LESS THAN 50 your character has been disabled by the Soul Harvester, and is lying unconscious on the ground. Before he knew it, Mot was ganged up on. A shot from a sniper, and a few swipes and stabs from blades. The reaper buckled, his knees dropping to the ground. He was hurt. He was hurt bad. He felt woozy, the world spinning around him. Voices and noises buzzing and fuzzy. The screeching wave of energy knocked him sideways, the reaper huddled into a ball, clutching his head as the Soul Harvester let out a wail. This was bad.. this was really bad. Everything was going to Hell. If he took one more hit... Mot gasped. He still had a pill! He scrambled, his hands feebly fumbling through his duffel bag. Shakily, he grabbed the pill, stuffing it into his mouth. Instantly as he swallowed, power filled him from his core to his finger tips. He was re-energized. He felt alive again. He let out a sigh, then jumped back to his feet. There was no time to dilly dally. He needed to help his friends. FIRST ROLL
Rped out post: Herryk felt the arrow hit him in the shoulder, the pain blazing through his flesh. The hulk of a Draugr nearly dropped to a knee -- he was fading, and fast. A large wheel came flying at him and he barely managed to knock it aside with a broad fist.
When Freya moved to protect him with her own body and the breadth of her wings, Herryk knew in that single moment that he would do anything for the Valkyrie. Anything. She didn't have to sacrifice herself for him, and yet she was.
The burning urge to protect Freya and to save Lattice still raged in his chest, but at this point Herryk was far, far too weak to go alone.
"Save Lattice," he ground out. "Save the others, Freya." HP: 11 - 5 = 4/30HP Battle Status: Defend.

Rped out post:
Ah, this was good! It seemed like they were almost half way through the traps, and just a bit more and then hopefully they’d be able to free her!
Until further chaos erupted.
The reaper staggered, falling to a knee after the ground shook, a shock wave rattled her body, and her head seemed to pound from the combination of the blinding white like and the screaming. Hel felt her arms goose bump in that moment as everything then went silent. An odd kind of silent. The ghoul rapidly shook her head as if she could clear it out that way. No, she needed to get back to her feet and help out the Soul Harvester…
Hel looked over at the students who were working on the chains, her eyes widening as Roch dissipated. “No!” She cried out, reaching out for the reaper but it was too late, he was gone. The ghoul gritted her teeth, shooting a venomous glare at the Hunter who had tried to take them out. As tempting as it was to lash out…the urge to help the Soul Harvester was stronger.
The valkyrie pushed herself back to her feet and clenched her fists, letting out another battle cry as she lunged at the next chain to try and free this being.

Davey conversation with Gale and Bix was interrupted by a shockwave from the tent. It slammed into him, knocking Davey to the ground. Azrael fell from his hand as Davey caught himself before faceplanting completely. He pushed himself up on a trembling arm, head turning to face the tent.
A mental shriek pierced his skull. Davey screamed in unison, clutching his head, and fell to the ground. There was a sensation of something swimming in his head, then the sound was blanketed, a familar presence stretching out further than it normally did.
"Azrael?" Davey choked out. "Don't-! What are you doing?"
The pain wasn't gone, the supernatural scream still loud in his mind, but not as deafening as before. But while Davey was suddenly free to think and move again, he could feel the added strain on Azrael as he tried to shield Davey's mind.
The scream died off. Davey scrambled back to his feet, grabbimg at Azrael's solid form and mentally reaching for the shrinking barrier in his head. "Azrael? Azrael!"
The fallen angel's poke (a weak 'geroff' shove) had Davey closing his eyes in relief. "Don't do that again," he growled.
~Aw, does someone love me?~ The taunt was pure Bitchblade, though a much more tremulous thoughtwave than the sword usually produced.
Davey huffed, looking away. "Shut up, Azrael." 'Besides,' he thought loudly, 'just who was it who was trying to protect me?'
~ ... Shut up, Davey.~
Making his way back up onto unsteady feet, Davey surveyed the field. Most everyone was down. They weren't all staying that way, several of the monsters struggling back up. Davey readied his sword.
"You're still up this, right?" he asked Azrael.
The answered was immediate. ~Always.~
