Chapter 1 Reiko Reborn The next day, the platinum haired warrior was seen at the West City Academy ready to train. He was seen walking outside of his quarters after freshening up with his new clothing that he got back at Paradiso. He heard Aynos mention that they were heavier than his regular signature armor but the platinum haired warrior clearly underestimated her statement. It was not any other weighed clothing where it only hindered one’s speed because of the weight. The second he put the clothing on he felt his overall strength and performance decrease dramatically. The platinum haired warrior was not a stranger to being weighed down when he was training at the Xim academy and Selmrof. So he felt embarrassed when he could barely walk properly on his way to see Sonya out at the training area. The platinum haired warrior’s weighed armor did not have many designs and extra features as his signature armor given to him by Selmrof. However it did have some nice animal fur that was resting where the collar portion should be on all clothing. The fur and the unique belt design was the only thing that the platinum haired warrior was a big fan of because it did not hinder his appearance; overall clothing design was sort of similar to his signature armor. His shoulder and shin armor was what he really disliked.
Sure shoulder armor and shin armor was always good from a traveler beginning his quest to become the greatest warrior in his or her country to high class warriors fighting the battle of his or her life. These pieces of armor made it more of a nuisance than a necessity for Reiko. The sliver animal armor stood on his shoulders along with his shin armor moving slowly along with the platinum haired warrior, making his way past a few students who seemed comfortable wearing weighed armor. Perhaps it was one of those things where the platinum haired warrior would just have to work into. It was Similar to lifting a certain amount of weight for a certain amount of time before he or she begins to get used to it. Reiko made it to the training grounds where he saw other students practice with their teachers, having sparring matches with each other or training by themselves where he saw a female in the same spot Aynos mentioned.
The female had the same weight and height as Aynos, checking in at one hundred forty pounds, five feet eleven inches. She had jet black hair similar to Aynos and the style as well, having her jet black hair run all the way down her back. Her chest armor was a metallic blue along with her gloves, forearm armor, and pants. The metal was custom made so that it was flexible to be made into pants for the woman but still keep its defense. She was looking in another direction, watching the other warriors being trained by their teachers. Some were on the right track in terms of the technique that they were practicing; others looked like they could use more practice with the basics first. She knew however that in the end these novice warriors were going to end up as skilled elites traveling the world to constantly test their abilities. And that was what she was planning on doing with the platinum haired warrior. Their training would not start just yet for she knew the platinum haired warrior had many questions since his arrival. If she was knocked out unconscious on a transportation vehicle and she woke up at her destination all of a sudden, answers were going to be given one way or another. Most of the platinum haired warrior’s questions she did not mind answering; all she was focused on was his reaction when she revealed who she really was. Would he believe her without question and proceed to training, or did he need proof? “Excuse me are you Sonya? Selmrof said you were going to be my new teacher.”“……”“Excuse me?...”“I have believed we already met Reiko.”“Oh.” Reiko chuckled. “My mistake Aynos. I didn’t recognize you without your clothing from last night. Is Sonya a bit late?“She’s here.”“Oh.” The platinum haired warrior said. “Well where is she?”“You’re looking at her.”“Heh Heh, yeah okay seriously where is she?” the platinum haired warrior said as he was looking around. Maybe she was waiting for him to be off of his guard and then strike when he least expected. It was similar to the blue swordsman when he was in his quarters trying to go to sleep in peace last night. She put her head down and smiled at his question. She knew that it was going to take more than just her word to convince the platinum haired warrior. Simple information about Selmrof would not work since she convinced him during her identity as Aynos that “Sonya” told her a few things about him and Selmrof. Sonya was going to have to point out the obvious or dig deeper.“What is Aynos backwards Reiko?”The platinum haired warrior thought about it for a second, trying to rearrange her name and put the pieces together. Once he realized what the name spelled out when it was backwards, he gave a look of embarrassment and pressed his palm against his face.“How could I miss that?” he thought to himself. “Need more information? He told me about you little by little before he died. At first I was a bit skeptical but when he mentioned you were the holder of the Cryptic Chaos, I was more interested in hearing about Selmrof’s new pupil. Selmrof also mentioned you spoke about Dimitri and the Xim academy.”“What do you know about those two?” the platinum haired warrior asked. He was more than convinced that this was indeed Sonya. He just wished that Selmrof would have given more information about her. Instead it went the opposite route with Selmrof giving Sonya information about the platinum haired warrior while he knew next to nothing on Sonya. All except that she liked to make up fake identities.“All that Selmrof told me. Are you convinced yet?”“….Yeah im convinced. So that means you’ve been watching me since I’ve started my trip to the Academy?”“Yes. Usually I let the students look for me when I hear about them but you were different. Even though I trusted Selmrof, I had to find out for myself where our training should begin based on your skills. So I sent out a few students with me to observe.”“Who?”“You’ve already met them. Jeremy and Kai. They’re not here right now for this training session is focused on you and I.”“And the real Aynos?”“There is no Aynos. Once we found out what you looked like, we could have easily transported you here through teleportation, which by the way is something you’re going to learn. But like I said we wanted to see what your skills looked like in battle.”“So we took the trip to paradise and left early, knowing that the pirates would invade our ride?” Reiko asked, becoming better at putting the pieces to the puzzle a bit better now.“Now you are getting it. I knew the pirates would come for us but what I did not know what how strong they were. So when their power levels and abilities were around Jeremy, Kai and my range, I was surprised. Usually the average pirate on that island would not be able to cause that much havoc. Right then we would not be surprised if you were in bad condition or worse after the fight. But the swordsman you fought I’ve seen him a few times, and he does not resort to Ki blasts that much.“So what does that mean?”“It means he got annoyed with you and fired a blast at you to easily kill you because you were at such a low power level but was somehow able to not only match blades but almost turn the tables. Ki blasts are mostly one shot kills against the average human. So that means two things: your skills with the sword are more impressive that I thought and you have hidden potential Reiko; that is why you’re here.”“I thought that was the point of Selmrof teaching me, so he could unlock my hidden potential and further my skills.” Reiko said.“It was wise in choosing to go with Selmrof to further your techniques with the sword. And I think that if he did not die, he would have showed you what I am about to show you. After all he did hide the invitation to the West City Academy for a while. He more than likely wanted to increase your strength first before letting you become aware of the letter.”“Did you send students to spy on me then as well? You did say you were there when I buried him.”“The West City Academy works in weird but effective ways. Some just knock on the door and hand you the invitation; others slowly watch from behind the scenes. I’ve been wondering the same thing myself for a while now and I still have no answer. But I am sure you’re happy with the result.“Yeah I am. But you mentioned some things I did not fully understand. I was hit with a ki blast? And power levels?“I did not expect you to understand power levels, and is it okay. I’ll explain Power levels in a few moments and Ki blasts will come later in your training. Any more questions before we start talking about that though?“No I do not think so.”“Then let us begin.” She said before she took a deep inhale of fresh air, followed by a strong exhale.Sonya did not believe the platinum haired warrior when he said that he did not need any more answering of his questions. There were always questions from students. She could not remember the times where she asked her students if their questions were fully answered. Her students would say no and minutes later she would be swarmed with a few questions; some questions were about what she just went over! Sonya expected more questions from the platinum haired warrior later, especially on the training he’s about to receive.“These lands are very…very different from those you were born on. Whatever you heard as a fairy tale more than likely exists here. There will be many beings that you have never seen before that are not human like you and I” she said in a serious tone as she turned around to the platinum haired warrior finally and extended her hand with her palm facing upward. “In addition to that, these lands possess many strong beings that are more powerful than those you have encountered at your academy, stronger than those pirates….even stronger than you despite your background.”The platinum haired warrior went to touch her hand, assuming that she was going to lead him somewhere but when he got close, a white glowing sphere the size of a children’s basketball appeared instantly in her hand humming like a bee or a mosquito.“There are also many techniques that are much more powerful than what you have ever encountered. Some will be easy on your body…” she told him as she moved her hand, the white sphere rolling around her hand like a cockroach. “Some techniques will become more difficult and demand more on your body…and they’re those that will push your body to the brink of death. But do not get it twisted; like Selmrof I plan on taking your body to those limits where it feels like you cannot go on any longer, but as soon as that pain goes away, something called strength comes in to make you body stronger.”The platinum haired warrior nodded with a smile for he did not want things to be any other way. He was used to pushing himself to the limit; Reiko did not need anyone by his side helping him get to his goals. He did not need anyone to tell him he was overdoing it either. Those were usually the ones who were too afraid to take their training to the next level. Those were the people who were jealous of the platinum haired warrior’s progress and wanted to sabotage it. That was why he was bumped to the elite section of the Xim academy, the one to two percent who broke the mold of being the average warrior and wanted more out of life.“To put it into easier terms, Ki is the energy, the life-force that is all around us. It is within us. it is linked to our existence on this planet It it around is from the academy to the skies above, to as far as the eye can see. The average warrior isn’t aware of Ki. Some even believe that it does not even exist. With Ki, you can make energy spheres, projectiles, create objects to assist you, even enhance your performance in battle. Those are just a small piece of what you can generate with Ki. What you can do is limited to your imagination. Your training will help you develop the basics of what you can do with your Ki energy. The first of those techniques is to sense the location, and life-force, along with power level using your Ki. So when I mention power level, what I am really saying is Ki level. You are using your Ki to sense the Ki, life energy and position of others.”“Understood.” The platinum haired warrior said.Sonya gave him a smile, knowing that he was not aware of what was going to happen next. Or even if he got all of that information; no doubt she would have to go all over that again. The energy sphere disappeared from her hand and walked a few steps back, telling Reiko to move a few steps back. The platinum haired warrior was unaware of it but she saw Jeremy and Kai looking down on both of them. The two noticed that the platinum haired warrior’s training was going to begin and they watched Sonya lecture on Ki to Reiko. Sonya told them telepathically to back off for now for they were going to start small first before the two were to intervene. Jeremy and the crimson warrior nodded and went off to do their own business.“Let us start small shall we?…I’ve placed a few creatures around West City Academy in a few objects. There are twenty to be exact and were placed before you woke up and came here. What I want you to do is to sense the Ki, the life-force and location of them. To do so I want you to concentrate on your inner power, your life force. Focus on your breathing and your energy. Remember if you do not believe in yourself when you are doing this, then there is no reason to continue and we have no problem taking you back to Selmrof’s home.” she said. The last part was harsh but she knew that the platinum haired warrior was going to succeed anyway. He had to. 2552 wordsx2(double power day)=5110 5110+10,254=15,364 words

The platinum haired warrior began to close his eyes and concentrate on his breathing, doing exactly what Sonya told him. Focus on his breathing and his energy to conjure up his own Ki and then use that to sense the life force of the creatures Sonya placed. The first few quick breaths he took were nothing special or new to him. The platinum haired warrior meditated a lot during his time at the Academy and during the nights that Selmrof was. So the breathing portion of this exercise along with focusing on the sound of his breath was basic enough. However Sonya already saw a flaw in the Ki sense technique. The platinum haired warrior needed to calm down and relax a little bit more.“You’re breathing too fast Reiko. Do not force it, just calm down and slow your breathing down a couple of notches alright?” She said in a firm but caring tone. Sonya did not need Reiko overdoing it on his first technique. Not if he wanted to learn another technique today that was considered easier in other teacher’s minds.“Okay I’ll do that.” He answered before he tried the technique again, this time slowing down his breathing. Sonya could feel the platinum haired warrior decrease his breathing speed and was pleased, watching his diaphragm get sucked in slowly then pushed out at the same velocity. The platinum haired warrior experienced a strange feeling as his concentration became deeper in his life force, his energy, along with his breathing. It was a warm sensation all over Reiko’s body. At first he saw nothing but darkness as a result of closing his eyes. After Sonya corrected him on his technique, he begin to feel faint energy around him. The platinum haired warrior was a bit fearful at first for this was something that he has never felt before. Like Sonya mentioned he never knew of Ki energy before. Did the Xim teachers know of Ki energy? It seemed like they did when they canceled the aging process of the platinum haired warrior. If they knew about Ki energy why did they keep the information a secret from the platinum haired warrior? These were questions that slowly crawled into the mind of the platinum haired warrior during his concentration which caused the energy to disappear slowly. Sonya immediately noticed the sudden transition in his technique. “Concentrate Reiko.” She said in a calm manner. “If you don’t believe in it then it won’t happen, just like everything that you do. This is not different.. Focus.”Reiko gave her a nod and held on to the concentration that he still had before he attempted to try it one more time. Moments later he felt the familiar energy rise within his body and felt the life force of those around him. Suddenly he could feel a small energy force right in front of him. The platinum haired warrior had sensed the location of his teacher even though he knew where she way. It was indeed a good start in Sonya’s eyes.
“Good..now focus on the creatures. Broaden your surrounding and sense their life force.”Without losing connection or concentration the platinum haired warrior gave his teacher a nod as he tried to imagine the academy in his head and visualize looking around it from different views such as a bird’s eye view. Sonya told him not to focus on all of the creatures at one time but to channel his concentration into finding one creature at a time and then go to the next. Once he did it that way that was where the technique became a bit easier for the platinum haired warrior. Immediately he sensed the life force of five small creatures that was in a bowl behind Sonya. He followed her method of focusing on one animal at a time but when he sensed the life force of one animal, the other animal’s life force signatures went visible one at a time to the platinum haired warrior.“Five creatures in the bowl behind you.” He said before he began the hunt for the others. Sonya made it easy on the platinum haired warrior by putting most of the creatures in groups of four or more. “Very good now can you find the rest?”The platinum haired warrior continued his hunt for the creature’s life force signatures when he felt the familiar energy presence once more; this time it was coming from Reiko’s room. He directed his concentration to his room where he sensed the life energy signature of five more creatures underneath the bed of the platinum haired warrior inside of a small jar.“Five creatures…in a jar in my room.” He told Sonya before he began to search one more time. The platinum haired warrior was getting used to this and was starting to like this technique. Reiko was tempted to try and increase the speed in which he was sensing the creatures but he had willpower and continued at the same pace. Plus Sonya was right there to add more willpower.“You’re doing well. Don’t be tempted to find the last ten at a faster pace just go at the speed you are going at.”The platinum haired warrior then found another five more creatures in another jar inside someone else’s room. Fifteen creatures were found with only five more to go. Reiko was in a deep concentration now and was focused on finding the last creatures. Sonya could tell that he was in the zone now and decided to stay quiet until he found the last five. The platinum haired warrior did his last energy sensing around the academy where he felt faint signatures coming from behind the West City Academy. He followed the energy source of the creatures and eventually found the last five scattering around as if they knew they were being watched. Reiko opened his eyes and inhaled a large amount of breath as if he just came up from being underwater.“You did good Reiko. You have learned how to sense other life forms using your Ki.”“Five behind the academy walls…they weren’t captured in anything."“I know. I wanted to see if you could sense those who were not in one place because last time that I checked we are constantly moving. It is highly unlikely that you are going to sense the ki signatures on beings that are in one spot. But I did it for the sake of this training exercise. As you get stronger and more skilled with your Ki you will be able to sense the life force of more life forms. The sensation will be stronger the more skilled your opponent is and how far they are away from you. Are you ready for the next technique?words this post=1131x2(double power day)=2,261 15,364+2,261=17,625 words minus 300(Ki sense)=17,325

Their next technique was going to be another technique that the platinum haired warrior would use throughout his journey to become the best called the Spirit Blast, or its popular term, Ki blast. Sonya mentioned the two terms to the platinum haired warrior but she told him to not get confused with the two, especially since the word “Ki” was in one and not in the other term. She did not want to go over her speech about what Ki meant to the platinum haired warrior again. Yet she felt like she may have to go over a few points in the future. As for the technique she teased the platinum haired warrior, telling him this was the technique that made him go unconscious for the whole trip. Reiko did not find it too funny as he only gave a single chuckle to her insult even thought it was true. When she saw the platinum haired warrior attempt the Ki Blast, her hypothesis was correct; the armor would weigh him down so it would be more difficult. She was afraid that perhaps he might have adapted to the detriment of the clothing but when she noticed his stance during his Ki sense training, Sonya could tell that this was his first time wearing clothing of this caliber. The platinum haired warrior could not even raise his entire arm at one hundred percent without putting it back down seconds later. This meant that he was nowhere close to forming energy. Reiko tried lifting his forearm to perform the technique but was quickly snapped at by his teacher.“Don’t cut corners around the technique Reiko. If you need to use your other arm to hold the arm you’re going to use the technique with.” Of course that would mean his shoulders would both experience soreness making the technique twice as hard. All Sonya wanted however was for a Ki sphere to come out of a hand with an arm extended. The platinum haired warrior took a breath and nodded to Sonya before he shook both of his arms and gave them a 5 second break before he extended his right arm once more with the palm facing upward. He then tried to create the Ki energy from his palm by concentrating once more. The shoulder soreness got in the way and his arm began to slip slowly like a person in quicksand. Sonya was about to correct his form once more but that was when the platinum haired warrior followed his advice and gripped the portion underneath his right forearm and triceps with his free hand. His teacher gave him a nod but his question dealing with creating the ball made her raise an eyebrow. Didn’t she just go over Ki? On the contrary that was a lot of information to take in.“So when I create the ball am I concentrating the same way I did when I was sensing Ki?” he said clenching his teeth before both of his shoulders gave out once more. He wasn’t going to give up on this technique and was willing to be here all night if it meant he would get this down by the end of the day.“Create?”“Yeah Create.”“Remember when I mentioned Ki?”“Yes you said it was the energy-“ “That’s right energy. You may have forgotten but energy cannot be created, nor can it be destroyed. The same rules that are applied to energy can be applied to Ki as well. Ki never dies, nor can it be created. It is already within us from when we are born and transfers to a different plane of existence when our bodies are killed.”She gave the platinum haired warrior a chance to let that sink in his head before she continued. “Perhaps it is best to think of it like this. When I say to create a Ki sphere, I want you disregard the word “create” and instead tell yourself to transfer your own Ki, to the palm of your hand and form a sphere. It is just like when you use the Ki sense technique. You concentrated and transferred your Ki to your mind where you could sense the life force and location of those around you. Now you are just transferring that energy from your mind to your palm and creating a ball from it. Now try again; maybe you will be able to form the sphere before your shoulders give out again.”“Okay.” The platinum haired warrior said, appreciating the depth that Sonya was going into when she was explaining the techniques so far. Selmrof was similar but stricter with his teachings. He did not see that in Sonya nor did he see any room to have his way with her and train with a lazy mindset. The platinum haired warrior repeated the same process with his arms and instead of trying to instantly form the ball from his palm he closed his eyes and concentrated just like he did moments ago when he was sensing the Ki of other life forms. He blocked the pain from his shoulders for one second and visualized transferring his Ki energy from the soles of his feet to his cranium and directed it from his chest, to his biceps to his forearm and finally to his palm. He wasn’t able to see what was going on but he could feel the energy rest near his palm. Sonya on the other hand was experiencing the wonderful display of Ki energy being transferred from a novice. She saw a light version of the color bronze for one second, telling the platinum haired warrior to now form his energy into a small ball. The platinum haired warrior followed her orders and imagined a sphere the size of his palm. He felt energy being transferred out of his body but still in his palm; still in his possession as he heard a familiar sound.
*hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm*“A bronze Ki sphere. Now that is something that you do not see every day.”The platinum haired warrior opened his eyes to see what she was talking about. When he did he saw his creation, a perfect symmetrical bronze sphere that was a bit smaller than he imagined but that wasn’t what he was concerned with at the moment. He actually did it by blocking the pain and having it leave the body in exchange for strength to come in. In this case he had extra strength to keep his arm up with both hands as the ball remained still.“Remove your free hand.”Reiko slowly removed it, afraid in the back of his mind that his shoulder was going to give out once more and his arm was going to flop, causing the Ki sphere to either be transferred back into the body of the platinum haired warrior or to shoot off in a random direction. But when he did he had the power to hold it with one hand and he was stunned. That was at least for a few moments that is before Sonya noticed his shoulders giving out once more. Quickly thinking ahead, she went underneath Reiko’s elbow and raised it upward so the ki sphere was in the air not instead of the face of Sonya. Suddenly the sound that was heard after a Ki blast was launched was heard; the bronze sphere quickly left the platinum haired warrior’s hand and flew towards the skies, heavens and above.“Sorry…about that. Let’s try it again, I..I want to do it again.”The platinum haired warrior was seen inhaling and exhaling hard, which made Sonya glad for her training was really doing a good job making Reiko’s body stronger. But she made have made a mistake when she forgot to tell Reiko the results of conjuring a Ki blast for the first time. Luckily noone got hurt this time around but she quickly told him why the ball flew without his permission.“It is just as I thought. It is not your fault that the Ki blast flew off uncontrollably. At the basic stages of discovering Ki energy and manipulating it, like you did just now, it is wild and uncontrollable. I wanted to see if you could control it a bit longer and it looked like you were going to. The weighed clothing however made that difficult and I can understand that. As you learn to harness your Ki better and develop it more along with your overall performance you will learn how to hold it for long periods of time if you need to.” Once again she gave Reiko time to absorb that information in her head before she went on discussing the last pieces of the Ki blast.“It is the most simple and basic form of an energy blast or an energy wave. The power of your Ki blast is usually linked to your overall Ki and the amount of energy you transfer.. You’ll find out that throughout your travels to become the best you will learn and discover different Ki blasts. However do not forget that just because it takes more Ki to create a Ki blast, that doesn’t make it stronger. If I create a Ki sphere the size of this entire academy and you retaliate by throwing your Ki blast at me, then on paper, I will be victorious. However the overall Ki level-““The energy level right?” he asked.“Correct, if your overall Ki level is greater than mine, then even though I took more time to create my Ki blast, if you have more overall Ki energy, then something as simple as your basic Ki blast can not only clash with my sphere but can also have potential to send it back towards the user.”“Wow, I’ll definitely remember that……so what’s the next thing on the list.” He asked. Reiko didn’t want to sound too hasty like a child but he had energy in him to go a bit more. Sonya thought otherwise for she was stuck between teaching him one more move that was more linked to the Ki blast in terms of directing energy flow and giving him the day off to work on the moves he just learned. She was also thinking about his training tomorrow that would test the platinum haired warrior on the moves he learned. If she taught him one more move would his body burnout tomorrow? She would just have to make altercations to the training then. “……..There is one more move I can perhaps show you. I think you will love this move a lot. Most students that I see learning this technique do. Do you want to continue and learn the technique before we cut our training short?”“Yes, I can go on.” “Okay then.” She smiled. “Our next technique is the Sky dance technique, or a popular term is flight. Your next technique will teach you how to fly.” “You got to be kidding me.” Reiko thought as his heart began to race. He was aware that he was going to receive special training and that his body was going to be pushed to the next level. And at least he got a chance to witness the last two techniques in action. But flying!? The platinum haired warrior was all ears for this one.“The Sky Dance technique is similar to the Ki blast technique in terms of transferring your energy. You won’t be shooting from the ground by releasing Ki blasts from your boots don’t worry. The way you transferred your ki to your palm, I want you to transfer it through your legs and out your feet. If done correctly it will lift you off the ground. From there you keep a constant flow of that energy to keep yourself afloat. It’s just like riding a bike; you stop pedaling in the middle of takeoff and you fall.” Sonya told him. She didn’t discuss acceleration and descending back to the ground. She had a good hunch that the most the platinum haired warrior was going to do was levitate off the ground and come down.words this post=2021x2(double day)=4042 4042+17,325=21,367-400(Ki blast) =20967 words

Sonya was seen in an Indian stance watching her new platinum pupil perfect, or at least get the basics down on the Sky Dance Technique. She was glad that he seemed to get more of the understanding of Ki a bit better. Sonya did not have to go over it once more with the platinum haired warrior when it came down to this technique. After the first two techniques and proper Ki channeling, it was no different this time around for the platinum haired warrior. All Reiko had to do was have the strength to lift the weighed armor. She knew that his bodyweight was not going to be a challenge for the Sky dance technique. Sonya was glad that he had a low body fat percentage with the strength to back it up. When one added the fact of having armor that crippled overall performance by twenty-five percent, plus not being at one hundred percent when doing this technique meant however that this was going to be more of a challenge for the platinum haired warrior. It was going to pay off so good in the long run for Reiko for he did not need transportation that ruled the seas, the skies or and ground. With proper and consistent training, the entire world was his playground and he could travel anywhere. Feeling lonely and wanted a trip to paradise? That would be no problem for the platinum haired warrior. He could watch some television, get a nice massage from some lovely ladies, enjoy some fresh drinks, and juice straight from the trees and kick back knowing if he wanted to come back to West City Academy it was minutes away. “If you don’t have the energy to do the technique there is always tomorrow.” Sonya told him after sensing a tiny amount of frustration within the platinum haired warrior. She didn’t recommend practicing the technique if Reiko could not get it down right now. Of course she was his teacher not his mother or father. If he wanted to get the technique down by today regardless of his energy levels that was okay with Sonya. It would more than likely be detrimental to his body tomorrow.“I got it…”Transferring his Ki to his legs and to the soles of his feet wasn’t the problem. It was just those damn weights that were on his shoulders and shin. Hell it was the entire suit that was giving him a hard time. What was giving him more of a hard time was that if he took the suit of just for a few seconds and try the Sky dance technique again he would more than likely take off in seconds. And yet the platinum haired warrior kept the suit on for he knew Sonya would have him put it right back on if he even made a move implying that he wanted out of these clothes. He stopped concentration for a second, telling Sonya that he is just starting over so it did not seem like he was letting his emotions outweigh this concentration. After a minute, where Sonya had her eyes still locked on the platinum haired warrior he decided to give it another shot.“Instead of quickly channeling your energy beneath your feet and pushing off, first try to transfer it to your feet first, then when you feel you have enough, push.” Sonya told him. At this point the platinum haired warrior had a grasp of ki to know how to transfer his energy. Building his Ki level on the other hand would definitely be another day for Reiko.“I can do this. I believe…my life force; my Ki will lift me off of the ground.” Reiko said, psyching himself up. It put another smile on Sonya’s face as he closed his eyes and concentrated, channeling his Ki and directing it underneath his feet. Resisting the temptation to push off, he allowed his chi to further be transferred to his feet just a bit more until he couldn’t do it anymore. The platinum haired warrior finally pushed his Ki energy through his feet and what happened next was unseen by Reiko but by his teacher as she quickly got up excited.“Reiko….open your eyes.”The platinum haired warrior opened his eyes and looked underneath his feet and he realized that his feet were not touching the ground anymore. The feet of the warrior was not bound to Mother Nature no longer. He was levitating almost 3 feet from the ground, which was not bad at all but Sonya knew that Reiko used perhaps too much energy. Or maybe he was just that bright and Selmrof knew how to pick them and gave her the jackpot. He stood levitating for a few seconds but had one problem and all students had this. Sonya could tell by the twisting and turning of his lower body that he needed guidance when it came to turning.“You are using your Ki to keep you afloat. At this stage, direct your Ki towards the position you want your body to be. It sounds confusing at first but you will understand once you do it.”The platinum haired warrior nodded slowly and directed his Ki towards the left. He didn’t turn left for a few seconds and wondered what he did wrong but his body slowly began to move towards the left. Reiko tried moving to the right and the reaction time of his Ki was faster, being positioned to the right in less time than it took to move to the right.“This is also another common technique that Me, Jeremy and Kai have. You will see a lot of species know this move. As for proper turning, with skill and technique, then like the other ones you just learned, flying will become easier and can be initiated with little to no effort.”The platinum haired warrior was about to give Sonya her response but he suddenly dropped and landed on all fours breathing heavily. Sonya was going to help him up but when he got back on his two feet she resisted. That was a good sign to tell her that no more techniques will be taught today, or even the next day depending on how Reiko was feeling. She was pleased that her first day or training with the platinum haired warrior did not turn out bad but awesome. The number of times students let their emotions outweigh their dedication and quit or the number of times students complained on the first day was more than the number of times she had a student tell her that they can still go on regardless of how they look on the outside. They were relying on inner strength and their ability to go on when no one else would be able to.“Congratulations Reiko. It seems that Selmrof has trained your body well. Now that is the last technique I will be giving you today. You can have the day off to do whatever you want. Just remember to spend it wisely for you have more training tomorrow.”“Will it be new techniques?” Reiko asked as he began to experience the feel inside his body like he just finished a good workout.“Perhaps if you’re still standing tomorrow. But what it will do is guarantee you twice the workout.”words this post=1227x2(power day)=2454 20967+2454=23,421-300(flight)=23,121

☽ℜ σ ѕ α ℓ ї α ☾ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxHuman Student of Ansatsuken Dojo Entering the Acamedy, Rosalia wasn't surprised to see so many people still in their studies and training. In fact, she was about to do a little training herself, though she wasn't aware of this just yet. Glancing around, she didn't recognize many of the people there, though she never was one to socialize much at times. She looked back to the tall Namekian, who stridded into the building with an interested look on his face. "I suppose this is your first time here," she said with only some interest, not wishing to pry. The man nodded as he looked to her, and she gave a very light smile before beginning to walk into the main floor, where many were fighting so intensely that their power could give any bystander a headache. Mainly her, though, because she was sometimes sensitive in that regard. Not her choice, mind anyone, but it happens. All she could do was block her own headache and carry on.
Reaching the middle of the floor, Rosalia watched with interest as one man was fighiting with his mentor {Reiko and Sonya}. As their training was brought to its conclusion, Rosalia just had a split-second that she was about to be attacked before it did happen; a chain harshly snapped out and wrapped around one of her wings, then the person yanked so hard that Rosalia was snapped back, feeling one of her wings cramp and almost snap. Growling, Rosalia grabbed onto the chain and whirled around, her feet gaining ground as she glared at the blue-furred woman, who gave such a wolfish grin. "You know Yuna, if you wanted to spar, you should just say so," the winged woman said in an even tone, frowning at the girl.

"You'd refuse otherwise," she merely pointed out before withdrawing her chain weapon and pulled out her sais, watching as her sort-of friend pulled out her swallow and extended it to its full size. Finally, a challenge! Yuna rushed at the girl that she just attacked, slashing with her weapons but only to counter against the crystal weapon, then got knocked back by the girl and was forced to back as Rosalia began her advancement, slashing with such speed. Yuna may have a little more strength than Rosalia, but the other girl had SPEED, and she used it well. Swirling and extending her weapon out, Yuna had to leap backwards to avoid getting slashed.
ぷㄨ々Deciding to use this as an oppontunity, Yuna suddenly seemed to vanish, using her Teleportation Technique, to appear behind Rosalia. But instead of stopping, she increased her speed and headed for a wall, probably confusing her opponent. Leaping at it, she planted her feet against the wall and then flew herself up pretty high. From there, she brought her weapon to the middle of her with both blades exposed just as she began to spin, looking like nothing but a gold-and-purple ball of motion, aside from the glittering of her weapon. Coming down on Yuna, the improvised attack brought the wolf down onto her back when the attack landed and had sent Yuna backwards. Skidding to a halt on the floor after almost missing the timing to straighten out, Rosalia smiled lightly as the wolf got right up off the floor and growled. "And I got you back." The fight continued on between the females, nothing but a blur of motion as Rosalia used her speed and Yuna with her stamina to keep up.
After merely a few minutes of this, though, Rosalia was feeling a burst of energy from herself, and she grinned as she landed on the ground once more, her weapon landing in front of her as her fists glowed slightly in power. It built up as Yuna came at her, about to attack with her own fists. "Surge Fist!" the winged girl said as she widened her stance and her fists were thrusted forward just in time to counter the wolf's attack. The attack overwhelmed Yuna and sent her backwards for the last time, landing on her side and immobilized. Which was a good thing on Rosalia's part, because the Surge Fist would have left the winged girl open for a counter. After a minute, the attack's side-effect finally let her go, and Rosalia panted as Yuna managed to get to her feet. But the girl's sais were back in their sheathes. "Well damn, I have to yield for this time." "You were close to beating me this time though, Yuna." They looked to one another and suddenly grinned, laughing lightly to themselves as Yuna landed on the floor, tired from that short burst of fighting. They could have lasted for an hour if they wanted to, but they usually have these bouts of battles in a short period of time. They were friends, not enemies.

If only the platinum haired warrior knew what Sonya meant when he told him that it will be twice the workout. He would think more about it later on tonight but at the moment Reiko just wanted to rest, take a break, take of that damn clothing. Sonya was long gone leaving the platinum haired warrior to do whatever he wanted. It was most likely to take care of some business or to design the training plan for Reiko tomorrow. He removed the top portion of his weighed clothing and placed it on the ground for one moment, revealing his muscular body as he was doing a few stretches for his shoulders and chest. As he was doing so he saw one of the beings that Sonya was talking about. The platinum haired warrior was not even here for a full twenty four hours and he already saw something that he never saw before.
It was a female creature, but nothing like the small ones that were in the jars during his training with his teacher. With the golden horn on her head the platinum haired warrior thought of a unicorn and that she was a half –human half unicorn. Reiko stared at her in awe for a few moments before his concentration was interrupted by the sound of a chain traveling through the air before it gripped on one of the humanoid’s wings. Reiko winced at the way she was snapped, thinking about her wing and if it was badly damaged. The unicorn humanoid looked back at the person who was responsible, or creature that was responsible and went to battle with her. The female wolf had her sai weapons showing no mercy and told her sneaking up on her was the only way to get her to fight before they clashes. The platinum haired warrior was impressed at the performance of the two warriors, especially the golden winged girl’s speed. Reiko’s eyes were shooting back and forth trying to keep up with her as she was fighting the wolf. The wolf then lost Reiko when she instantly transported behind Rosalia and got her with a nice kick to her mid back. He continued watching the two to see who was going to win, for each of them were dealing good blows to each others yet one was not able to finish. That was until the unicorn humanoid delivered the surge fist technique, a move that the platinum haired warrior didn’t know about yet.“Not bad.” The platinum haired warrior thought as he picked up his clothing and went on his way back to his room. Reiko was not at their level yet in terms of speed or techniques but maybe when he got better and received more training he would be able to keep up with the two.The rest of the platinum haired warrior’s day was spent resting from his vigorous training. When night came he had a nice meal with some of the other students at the West City Academy at a place Reiko never had food before. During his dinner the students had talked about their experience so far at the Academy. Some of them were having a good time and were catching on with the techniques at a better pace than the platinum haired warrior. One or two people at his table learned almost all of the techniques in a day! Others were at a slower pace than the platinum haired warrior, learning one move a day. After dinner was over he went back to the West City Academy and went to his dorm room where he went to sleep for good this time around. He went to bed early so he could be refreshed mentally as well as physically for his teacher’s training session. Meanwhile his teacher was seen staying up for just a few more hours, trying to design Reiko’s training program. Did she want him to learn how to use his Ki to create an energy shield, or were they going to focus on more offensive techniques? Her mind was not made up yet but if the platinum warrior could take what she dished out, maybe they could do both tomorrow.this post=700 words 23,121+700=23,821 words

☽ℜ σ ѕ α ℓ ї α ☾ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxHuman Student of Ansatsuken Dojo 'Should be fine in a few hours,' Rosalia thought to herself sometime after Yuni, pretty satisfied in her thirst for battle for the day, ran off to entertain herself or the such. She didn't let on much about the condition of her wing, but her left one got some ripped muscles in the base of it, and just experiencing cramps along the rest of it. Frowning as she came to that conclusion, she merely tucked that particular wing tight against her back to stay for the rest of the time. It looked like her training plans would have to put on hold for a few days until then. Only a mental shrug was casted at that thought as she began her way to the cafiteria once the students around started to slowly file out. It didn't make much sense to remain in the main floor room, after all.
Everyone pretty much left her alone, though that didn't bother her as she had a quick and small meal. The only people to join her was Yuni and that Namekian from before, whom she learned was by the name Ruuza. Interesting name, and that was all she really spoke about before finishing her meal. Yuni and Ruuza judged each other quietly then began a cautious conversation; they were complete opposite people, one a fighter and the other a healer. By the time Rosalia left the cafeteria, the two were arguing over what they should do in the worse-case scenerio.
'Better to escape before they drag me into that messy conversation,' she thought to herself as she glanced back over her shoulder. They certainly haven't noticed her leaving. They had beds to return to sometime if they wished, but Rosalia couldn't care much for sleeping... Not with the usual nighttime terrors of her own subconsciousness. Let the creatures of the night take her on, that'd be a nice change.
The night sky was a welcoming change as she left the building completely, but not its campus just yet. Her sister Terra {ever the mad-scientist; she was the person that made Rosalia look the way she did today} would be too busy to see company. Rolling her eyes at that thought, she entered one of the outside training arenas, where it was virtually empty. Grinning to herself at finding it this way, she reached down to her waist and pulled out two earplugs that were connected to her MP-6 player and inserted one of them into her ears, playing some songs to block out outside distraction and began her nightly ritual of training with her fists. She was a master with her weapon, but there were plenty of fights that required only fists and techniques...'Better work hard to beat me.' Scowling to herself quite fiercely and suddenly, Rosalia destroyed one of the training dummies on accident. Not that she cared, they were meant to be destroyed. Despite her wing injury and how tired she felt, she was suddenly filled with a large dose of adrenaline, and she decided to go for more than an hour of this. 'I will be strong to defeat you any time.'
Only until four hours of this did her body finally felt drained enough for her to take an empty dormintory. Untying the ties on her back to remove her top, leaving only the red undershirt to remain in, she glanced once in a mirror to see a major bruise formed at the base of her injured wing. That too will go away soon. With a quick wash-up in the shower, she layed on the bed with careful ease, turning onto her side before closing her eyes. She was instantly asleep afterwards. The new day will come along soon enough.Character's Current Theme Song The Poet and the Pendulum Quote: --Stats--

“This next technique is called the afterimage fist, or simply, after image. I take it you know where I’m going with this.”It was the next day, same hour and the platinum haired warrior was seen outside starting his training session with his teacher. It was another day of training where his swords were not necessary. She seemed to be in a good mood in the platinum haired warrior’s eyes which made him a little skeptical in the back of his mind. It was as if she knew that Reiko was very sore all over his body, especially his legs after learning the Sky dance technique. Being sore from working out was one thing but this was all over his body. The platinum haired warrior tried his best from hiding his temporary pain from Sonya. And yet she had a smile on her face like she could see through the veil the warrior was trying to put over. Was she really excited in teaching Reiko another technique or did she have something else planned? “You are going to teach me how to teleport next.” The platinum haired warrior said in an excited tone. But as excited as he was he was not fully convinced that he was going to be able to do it. It was not because he didn’t believe in himself or lacked faith in his technique. It was because he was not sure how he was going to do it. He listened to what Sonya had to say before he decided to fully make the conclusion though.“The point of this technique is to start from one position, like where you are standing or where I am standing and appear in another position with remarkable speed; leaving an image of the user behind. Allow me to demonstrate.” She said before quickly vanishing in her spot leaving an after image and quickly reappearing behind the platinum haired warrior. “Distribute your Ki throughout your entire body, imagine a spot and quickly move your body to another position.Reiko quickly looked over his shoulder in an attempt to see Sonya but when he did nothing was there. The platinum haired warrior turned back around and she was right in his face, causing him to flinch and move back in response. If he were to learn this technique today and add it to his swordplay, then there was no doubt that he would be a menace. Sure, a teleportation followed by a knee attack to the back was nice, but it did not out perform a thrust to the spine, a teleportation to the front and a decapitation slice. The platinum haired warrior’s teacher exhaled through her nose with a smile on her face as a result of scaring Reiko. Did he really get scared that easily, or was she just too close in his personal space? It was more than likely the latter. What happened next to the platinum haired warrior would definitely catch him off guard. She took a few steps away from Reiko to give him some space for what was coming up in a few seconds. Sonya did not know what the platinum haired warrior was going to be surprised at more: the fact that more people were going to be involved or that he would not recognize the ones that were participating. It would be fun to see which in Sonya’s eyes.“To further illustrate the afterimage technique, Kai?” she called out. The platinum haired warrior was happy to see Kai again once he came walking out wherever he was coming from. It has been days and the last time he saw Kai was on the ship. Reiko was glad that he was going to get a partner to practice his technique with; that always seemed to beat practicing alone. Well, it was a form of sparring, and instead of Kai coming down to see Sonya and the platinum haired warrior, he did a more direct approach.*choof* The platinum haired warrior didn’t see Kai but another person that had the same body structure like he did. Unlike the crimson warrior, the only hint of red that was on this person was the kung fu vest that he had on that fitted the man tight. Reiko could see the definition of his muscles thorough the vest. In addition he had golden forearm armor that started from his hands covering his middle knuckles to the last space of his forearm; just before it reached his bicep. The last thing that stood out from this person was his hair design that was in the shape of spikes going towards his left direction. Nothing else stood out from him for he had regular black track pants on with regular tennis shoes with a few designs. Unfortunately Reiko was not able to catch a glimpse of him that long in order to see the attire or the weird hair design. The second that Kai appeared he crouched halfway and gave a light, but fierce uppercut towards the platinum haired warrior’s gut before using the afterimage technique once more, vanishing from view.
Reiko eyes got bigger as gave a forced inhale followed by a large exhale gripping his stomach. The crimson warrior did not use all of his power but it was enough to still deliver pain to Reiko who was now on all fours trying to regain his breath. The platinum haired warrior would have cursed or demanded who the hell that was. It was bad enough that he was already as sore as one could possible be! This was just adding fuel to the fire. Now he knew why she was in a good mood today. He was going to be taught a new move and he was going to be the test subject, the guinea pig. Luckily Sonya was nice to let Reiko know the attacker’s name but didn’t mention his original attire; his clothing that he wore to paradise was just a disguise and Kai himself wanted to wear something different.“Did we not go over sensing other’s ki energy? If we did, and I am sure we did then that should not have happened. But perhaps that was a bit fast for you to use your ability. Perhaps I should have told you they had different identities as well.” She told him; in the back of her mind she knew that was too fast but wanted to see Reiko’s reaction.
“Jeremy?”
*shoof* Another warrior appeared out of nowhere, sporting a blue and gold cap with a ponytail stopping at hid middle back and had the same body structure as Jeremy in Reiko’s eyes. Jeremy also had the same forearm guards that Kai had; same color and all. The only difference it seemed with the two was that he had a white kung fu vest. The track pants were the same and the tennis shoes had no dramatic change to where it would stand out to the platinum haired warrior. The platinum haired warrior was just now getting from that sneak attack holding his stomach area with his left hand,, wincing in pain a little more before it was over as he got to see Jeremy demonstrate the afterimage technique a bit more. Jeremy left an afterimage of him standing next to Sonya before he was seen closer to the platinum haired warrior; this time he was squatting. Reiko was able to barely keep up with Jeremy at times even though he was showing off just what could be possible with the afterimage technique. Jeremy did the afterimage move a few more times until he appeared behind Reiko back to back where he gave him a word of advice before appearing right back next to Sonya. “Always be ready to use your moves out in these parts especially during training. You’re receiving special treatment anymore.”
He wasn’t trying to deliver a low blow to Reiko, knowing that Reiko was the only one that received training under Selmrof. What he meant was that Kai and Jeremy were students as well; meaning when it was time for one another to train, they would always be there to train with them. If Jeremy was receiving training under Sonya, whether it was polishing up a technique, Kai was right there showing him how the technique was done by using it against him. Sonya added to what Jeremy said, giving him one last tutorial on the afterimage technique before all hell went loose.“Distribute your Ki, focus on your destination and move! Or what usually ends up being better is to distribute your Ki and when you quickly move, do your best to leave a portion of your Ki in the form of yourself behind, like you’re trying to get away from it.“Okay I’ll do it.” The platinum haired warrior said as he did a quick warm up of his body and tried to push the pain out of his system as he focused. Sonya did not want to say anything on his warm up but had a slight displeased look on her face. He should have warmed up before; perhaps he would not have had his gut checked.
*Choof*
“Not this time!”
Kai appeared out of nowhere after almost a minute of absence and attempted to do another gut check, but the platinum haired warrior sensed his Ki just in time. As a result, the platinum haired warrior quickly moved to the side in order to avoid it, keeping his eyes on the crimson warrior. Reiko did not do the technique that time but Sonya did saw effort in his dodge. It was a shame however for the platinum warrior. All he had to do was block the attack and Sonya would have let him perform the technique without any interruption followed by another move and a quick review of all that he did so far. Instead she had another idea in her mind, and apparently Kai did as well as he looked back towards Sonya who gave him a little nod.“That wasn’t bad Reiko... not bad at all. Let’s see if you can do that again though.”*Choof* Kai left an after image where he was and appeared behind the platinum haired warrior with his left foot in front, and right foot in back going low for a 180 sweep, hitting the platinum haired warrior towards his legs. Reiko quickly dashed backwards to avoid it but not in the way he wanted to. Kai then appeared behind Reiko standing tall and unleashed two quick punches, adding more power in the second one, causing the platinum haired warrior to stumble forward. The next few move Kai unleashed Reiko was able to quickly become aware of them, using his Ki sense to move away just in time. So much concentration was built up on not getting hit, that as their small battle began to go on, Sonya was not sensing Reiko trying to do the afterimage technique but to avoid not getting hit. His speed wasn’t bad but she wanted to see him do the afterimage technique.“Stop focusing on avoiding getting hit. Once you sense his presence then do what I told you.” She told him in a strict tone.“Okay..” the platinum haired warrior said and just when he replied, Kai disappeared again!
“Alright, I just have to sense him coming, then concentrate on doing the-“ *Choof*
Kai, in one smooth motion appeared behind Reiko unleashing a palm thrust to his mid back, left an afterimage for Reiko just in case he tried to attack in anger, and appeared in front of him once more and unleashed another palm thrust to his gut. The platinum haired warrior slid back and when he stopped fell to one knee. How was he supposed to try the move for the first time if he had a small amount of time to do it!? The platinum haired warrior was getting upset as he lay looking at the ground for a few moments.“So what’s up Reiko are you finished?”The platinum haired warrior did not respond, not with words. He balled up a fist and slowly got up to his feet. Giving up was something that was out of the picture. Mentally he was ready to do this technique but physically the body was ready to fall. But Reiko told his body that it quits when he gives the order. Gasping for air the platinum warrior stood with his hands open in a boxing stance along with his feet. This next attack that Kai was going to pull off was going to be the one.
*Shoof*
Kai appeared behind the platinum haired warrior and attempted a roundhouse kick to his forearm, but he was in for a surprise. The platinum haired warrior seconds before he appeared sensed his ki signature and did exactly what Sonya told him to do. So the roundhouse connected, which would have resulted in tremendous pain for the platinum haired warrior….if he was still there.
*Choof*
*Choof*
*Choof*
The platinum haired warrior did not one, not two, but three afterimage techniques. The first he appeared behind Kai and delivered a push kick to the back of the crimson warrior. Kai wasn’t even done stumbling when the platinum haired warrior appeared in front of him and gave him payback by delivering a strong punch to the gut, ending his afterimage combo behind Kai’s back and sent a roundhouse kick to Kai’s side.
All of this was done in a matter of seconds, just before the platinum haired warrior dropped on all fours again and collapsed. Sonya was speechless at the feat that Reiko pulled off. That may have been the first time that she has seen that…from someone who has never done it before. She would know that Reiko would glad to find out that the last few techniques she would give him were going to be easier. The training sessions on the other hand were going to be different.“Come back in a few hours Reiko, we’re not done yet. Congratulations, you almost had me scared for a second.”this post=2351 23,821+2351=26,172-600(afterimage)=25572 words

Brigand, harnessing the new ability to travel to any location that he had previously been to, arrived back at the gates of the West City Academy. He was in his suppressed form, effectively halving his combat level yet still a few people showed up at the gate to take note of their powerful new arrival. He smirked, looking into the eyes of the master who had originally challenged him to a duel to the death after Brigand killed his student. “You, old man,” he said, pointing to the master with a big mouth and grinned. “Ready for that duel you wanted so bad, the one to avenge that trash student of yours?”
The man, who wasn’t truly that old, stalked forward and brought himself face to face with Brigand. In Brigand’s suppressed form, they were roughly the same height of about six foot though there was a clear muscular difference between the two. Brigand was powerfully built and the man was thin and wire-like muscles covered his exposed torso. Brigand was still wearing his weighted training gear, which made him laugh on the inside at how foolish this man was. There was no reason for Brigand to remove it, either as all he had to do was power himself up if he started to get beat.
The man’s face was a look of pure rage until he regained his control and his features becoming lax. He stepped a few paces away from Brigand and assumed a natural fighting stance of the Academy. Brigand never bothered with that nonsense, thinking that it was absolutely pointless to learn such a time wasting skill when brute force would achieve what he desired. Brigand laughed, crossing his arms as he faced the foolish man who really thought that he could win. “Last chance, fool. Bow to me and beg forgiveness or you will die this day.”
“Never, you overbearing brute.” With those words, the master dashed forward and landed a punch right into Brigand’s sternum. The shot landed cleanly and was executed perfectly, though the monkey didn’t even flinch. The master knew that he could not hold back against a foe of Brigand’s caliber.
Brigand merely yawned, proceeding then to speak in a very condescending tone. “I gave you the first shot, you could have done absolutely anything in your arsenal and you picked that? You aren’t a very wise master, are you? Even I would have done something better, perhaps like this?” With that last word, his body moved in a blur and his left hand was brought up against the stomach of the master. A dark red ki blast was planted firmly in the midsection and it blew the man away and through the academy’s main wall.
But Brigand wasn’t expecting what came next, a massive burst of ki erupted from inside the academy and the master blew out of a wall to Brigand’s left. The man’s power level increased exponentially from its base just moments before and the blow that collided with his cheek launched him a considerable distance away. The blow was enough to bruise him and Brigand knew that now was not the time to toy with his prey, so he stood to his feet and grinned at the master. “Congratulations, you old fool. Be ready for your beating to really start now, as you have now pissed me off royally.” He clenched his fists and released a mass of energy which shrouded his body in an eerie light, blinding him from the other’s view.
After the light faded, all that remained was Brigand in his massive true form and towering above the master. His energy no longer restrained, it pulsed off his body in waves that knocked many of the students and even a few masters off their feet. “You fool…are you ready to die?” He dashed forward and slammed his fist against the master’s face, his gauntlet covered hand was easily the size of the entirety of the older master’s face. Before the master could rocket away, however, Brigand caught his ankle and brought him up and over into a massive slam against the ground. The ground gave way beneath the brutal crash and the master’s breath left his body in a quick woosh. Brigand released him and merely chuckled, “You old crackpot, you call yourself a master? It has only been three weeks and I am beating you this easily? Hell…I might as well open my own school.” His booming laugh echoed out across the Academy and more than a few students stood and stared.
The old man pushed himself to his feet, “I did not think I would ever have to use this again…King Kai, here I come.” The man exploded with energy, his ki turned dark red similar to Brigand’s natural color and dashed forward at an amazing speed. “Kiao..Ken…Times…Ten….” He hit Brigand a total of six times in such rapid succession that Brigand was unable to counter them all, managing to stop two of them. But that wasn’t the kicker, the old man fired a blue beam from his hands that collided with Brigand and sent him flying. All he could hear was a distant “Ha!” ringing in his ears along with the crackle of energy from the blast.
“Damn…how…” He grit his teeth and decided to use his brawn to his advantage, coating his fingers in ki and clutching the mass of energy. With a mighty heave, he moved the beam off his chest and sent it hurtling into the Academy’s main entrance. “You…WILL DIE NOW!” Brigand rocketed forward and clutched the now weakened master by the face and slammed his body roughly into the ground. He felt the bones in the man’s face crush beneath his mighty grasp and merely smiled. The man was dead but Brigand had one last thing to do, as he lifted the man by his face with his right hand. With his left, he placed the hand against the man’s chest and fired an Omega Blaster into his chest and watched as the man soared into the sky and exploded.

Through various Herculean efforts, Brigand was nearly the completion of this arc of his training. He managed to write chapters in a book and make his body massively more powerful in such a short amount of time that it was almost crazy just trying to understand the implications that might occur during the tourney. He was easily strong enough to kill fighters without even trying to, if he was careless then someone would definitely be dying against him. He needed to learn how to hold back and not kill with a single blow, if he was to ever find enjoyment out of his battles and prolong them to toy with his foes.
He stood in front of a mighty boulder, frowning at the prospect of what he had to do. There were hundreds of them lined up, the effort of his morning from collecting them and placing them in proper locations, as well as deciding what type of training he needed most. Sure, he still didn’t have much luck with using his ki as an effective weapon but at this point, what was the purpose behind such nonsense? He was tough enough to just shrug off most attacks and counter his foe before they realized that he had even been hit. Using his tough body, intense speed, and immeasurable power he could destroy most anything without giving it any real effort.
He struck the boulder, with what he believed to be a light punch and it shattered instantly into a shower of shards. “Damn it, all.” He moved to the next boulder and hit it with even less strength than the previous one, satisfied that he had managed to not cause much damage to it. But alas, it shattered nearly as quickly as the previous one. He proceeded on, hitting each of the hundreds of boulders until he could manage to strike one and not shatter it in a single blow. Sadly enough, he was unable to keep himself from shattering the rocks into thousands of pieces. So he decided that he would create another suppressed form, since he had his first already.
He focused his muscles down and lowered his over all fighting ability, dropping his height down to nearly six foot tall and weighing half what he did previously. But that wasn’t all, he managed to make it to where it was only his physical strength that was decreased. But the form wasn’t really practical for him and he decided that it was best to abandon his efforts and hope that his foes did not break at the first shot. He released the form, deciding that he just needed to be satisfied with his weak form and his true form so as to be properly balanced. The use of the third form was just a waste of precious energy that he knew that he was going to need for future battles.
He laughed quietly and headed off back towards the center of the Phantom Faction’s main town, landing smack dab in the middle of the place. He called out to many of the young warriors that were sparring with each other and asked their help, “Young ones, I request aid in my training.” When he caught a glance at their now curious faces, he smiled. “I want you all to throw rocks at me and I will dodge them.” The six children smiled widely, nodding profusely at the prospect of helping the greatest warrior they knew in his training.
The group flew off to the same place where Brigand had been practicing his rock breaking, due to the now plentiful amount of rocks for the children to acquire. He stood across from them with his arms at his sides, a smirk plastered onto his face as the children got into position. “Okay, kids…you can start.” Before he said start, all six of them had already began pelting rocks at him only to find that he was dodging them all with relative ease…even those aimed at his nether regions. In the dodging, he said in a laughing voice, “Go ahead and move closer!” They all moved enough that they effectively halved the distance between them and the dodging became exponentially harder as sweat began to pour down Brigand’s brow. The rocks were getting closer and closer to landing on him and he was pushing himself as hard as he could.
These children had an amazing amount of strength and skill to be able to throw so many rocks at him like this, so Brigand decided that now was the time for a different kind of training. He stood still and allowed the rocks to pelt him, feeling them hit his powerfully hardened body and bounce away. He used this time to catch his breath and build more physical resistance to attacks, which seemed to be working to a fairly decent extent considering his situation. Rocks thrown by these children weren’t truly damaging, though they would easily incapacitate weaker men.
But he knew that his training was nearing its completion as he moved closer to the children and began dodging the rocks once again, feeling the rush of adrenaline spiking through his body and fueling him to move even faster. But with the weighted clothing on, he knew that he was not moving at his highest potential speed. He then stood still, looking at each child and they all stopped. They were tired now too, throwing rocks like they were was extremely exhausting for them to do for such a prolonged period. Brigand knew that he managed to train the children nearly as well as they trained him.
“Good job everyone, thank you for helping make me powerful. I will be sure to win this coming tournament so that the Phantom Faction will have more glory than those fools in the True Faction.” All of the kids cheered and climbed on Brigand, who proceeded to take flight and return the children back to the town center. A crowd had gathered, the parents of the children and a few of the town warriors stood in a circle around Brigand. “My people, I will bring us honor in the next week! All will know the Phantom Faction to be the harbingers of the greatest warriors in the entire Universe!” A large cheer erupted around the giant of a saiyan, resulting in a smirk to cross his face.
Everything was going according to his plans, he was gaining the trust of his people and would soon be able to lead a coupe against Zorn. The man was strong, with powers that were rumored to be close to the Super Saiyan level. Though there was no proof to believing that, Brigand knew that it absolutely had to be true…for how else could one be ruling over a group like the Phantom Faction without having so much power…especially with ones like Brigand around. To be able to rule, he had to have absolute power and a secret that the others did not know. And that had to be the key to becoming the all powerful warrior, the Super Saiyan of legend.
But Brigand did not dwell upon that, he was determined to be the first Super Saiyan in well over a hundred years and knew that he had to make himself phenomenally more powerful before he could achieve such a rank. So without wasting any more time, Brigand took to the skies and headed back to West City but not for the Academy this time around. He stepped up to the doors of the Capsule Corporation, requesting use in the gravity chamber for a day. The paid the fee, using the surplus from the village designed for training the elite of their village, and stepped into the chamber. It wasn’t set to a gravity standard yet but that was fine enough for him, as he walked over and tapped the control panel to be placed in gravity of twenty times that of earth. But it didn’t feel much different, he had already trained at this level so he decided to really crank it up to fifty times that of earth.
He was instantly brought to his knees, he was not expecting the weight to hit so quickly. But he struggled back up to his standing position and began to high step around the room to build his leg strength. Throwing punches and various kicks, he began to work a sweat as he furthered his cardio training in the private chamber. After raising his heart’s beating pace, he dropped to the ground and began doing single handed push ups and grinned as it became relatively easier…soon it would be time to max out the chamber and gain strength immeasurable. The tourney was soon and there was nothing that the rest of the world could do to prepare themselves for the might of Brigand, terror of the Phantom Faction and destroyer of peace.
With only a few hours left of his training, the gravity had been cranked up to five hundred times that of the earth’s normal gravity and just a step from Brigand was enough to shake the chamber. He was in his transformed state, energy crackling around him and his normal dark red aura was flecked with bits of gold and his hair flew up around his face. His body was worn and he shut off the machine, feeling as though he had reached his current peak. He would wait until the tourney was over to do further training, for now.

☽ℜ σ ѕ α ℓ ї α ☾ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxHuman Student of Ansatsuken Dojo Having risen earlier that day than most students {even though she was practically the last one to go to bed}, Rosalia had eaten a quick breakfast before beginning her training again outside. Most students sat on the side-lines as they watched a mere blurr of motion zipping from one side to another as dummies were being knocked down or destroyed every two seconds. And it was a very large arena. Sweat finally started to form on her brow as she came to a halt on the other side of the arena, having two hours of constant movement. If she wasn't careful, she could end up with muscles that seized up on her, so she splashed her face briefly before moving on, letting the other students finally get their own training done.
Walking was the easiest solution to avoid getting seized-up muscles, and she did just that as she wondered the campus with ease, sometimes pausing to watch other students train hard with their mentor. Rosalia hadn't seen her mentor for pretty much a year since she took off when Rosalia overmatched her. Twirling one of her hair strands with one of her fingers as she walked on, she halted once again when she came across a familiar figure in his own training. He was here again to train with his mentor. After-image was one of the techniques the male was learning, and suddenly there was another student there. 'Another student as to make it a competition,' she thought to herself as she leaned against a wall for the watching, to avoid being in the way in case it went out of hand.
She had to use her own ability to sense chi, because in most part, the being known as Jeremy was using that technique to attack the other {Reiko}. This would frustrate anyone in his position. The bigger surprise was that when the man finally used the technique, not once but three times. And for his first time, too. 'It took me a good half a day to a full day to learn the Ashura Senku technique... it is basically another version of the after image technique, from what I understood.' From how her speed increases though with almost every training session she had, it would be that simply moving would be better than any after-image technique. Whatever her sister had done to her, her bone density was much lighter than any fighter, and this would have actually ended up really bad if she was concentrating on strength. She'd be broken apart in the matter of minutes if she was trying to keep up a fight in a strength-against-strength situation. She frowned lightly at that wondering thought...
Rosalia wished sometimes that she was a normal human than this alternate being, at least she would have been certain about herself.Character's Current Theme Song The Poet and the Pendulum Quote: --Stats--

Veyron sighed exasperatedly as he approached the large academy, looking around at various students and trainers all around, working diligently to get stronger than they were now, or maybe even stronger than someone they had to surpass. Either way, he had to give them their due respect for which ever path they had chosen to take on the road to furthering their strength. His level face, a remnant of her deep sigh, faded as a grin swept over his features a light chuckle escaping from his lips as he remembered where he was. He was at the place he would train to get stronger... Though even as he thought this he heard a strange whistling sound from his right, and as he turned to investigate his eyes widened as the red and white blur rushed towards him. Veyron gasped as he leaned back as far as he could in his short span of time to react, watching as the blur, whatever it was, ripped past him with enough force to almost completely uproot him with turbulence alone. Well... that was... interesting to say the least. He took a deep breath in nodding at his near miss before he started to walk towards the academy again stopping only when a gruff deep voice barked at him, and a large strong hand grasped him firmly by the shoulder. "That was some good reflexes son, now let me intro myself I am HAGGARRR" The large bugg man said, his thick black mustache flexing as he spoke... how that was possible, Veyron wasn't sure but it was best not to question it. "Now on account of yer good reflexes, your gonna get taught by THE MIKE HAGGAR." He said, a crowd standing up and roaring in applause in the background... Where the hell did that crowd come from? Was all Veyron could think as the hand on his shoulder tightened... oh boy... "Lesson Numbr One. FLYING." The man said wheeling about quickly and wrapping his second arm around Veyrons waist, turning and shifting all of Veyrons weight onto one hip before pushing with both arms, sending Veyron hurtling off. The world blurred around him as he flew, his features being stretched back by a palpable amount of air pressure. Ahhh so THIS is where that blur came from... NOW he understood completely... sort of. He started to wonder what would happen when he hit something... would it be an instant painless death? Maybe he would liquefy on impact... that would be pretty cool, though how would anyone know it was him. He sighed, starting to shrug before realizing that air pressure had glued his arms to his side. Well it had been a good run. He started to think even as he felt a strange tug on his ankle, and the odd feeling that his guts were trying to force themselves out of his mouth. "YEAH you did good boy, flew real far and straight too." Haggar said holding him limply by the ankle, Veyron fighting the urge to throw up like it was the red ribbon army. Strangely, he felt an overwhelming presence from Haggar now... almost like he could just tell the man was exuding strength... oh wait Ki sensing that's what it was... when did he learn that? Maybe it had something to do with almost dieing... And hey wait a minute... when had he learned to fly? He could of sworn it was just from being thrown like a demonic baseball... and on that note how could this man not be surprised by... oh wait yeah.. he looked just like a human... Welll damn... Regardless he didn't think he learned to fly... He started to think about this when from out of nowhere he heard a rather horrible sounding 'quack', and Haggar immediately snapped his head up looking to be in deep thought for moment. "Ahh the majestic space duck... oh yeah that reminds me next in your training you need to learn to DODGE." He yelled swinging his large heavy hand right at Veyrons stomach. Veyron just stood there perplexed. Wait... space duck? Weren't they on earth? And how the hell could some random earth bound space duck remind him about the next phase of training... wait what had he just said OH s**t DODGE. Was all Veyron thought as the fist connected, sending him lurching over in pain as the next fist hit. It appeared Haggar was going to continue hitting him over and over and over again until he either dodge, blocked, or died... though the last one seemed like the most likely option... Veyron started to sigh again when a fist connected with his stomach blasting all of the air out of his lungs with the help of his attempted sigh. Right right, opening mouth and getting hit... bad idea... Meanwhile, Haggar grinned, watching his one handed assault on the new guy, ahhh it did his heart good to see enthusiastic new comers to the academy... This one even looked to have a decent amount of potential, though it something seemed off about him... oh well. Haggar looked to the side smiling politely as a woman presented him a fine china tea cup filled with a steaming white liquid. "Ahh thank you, the white tea I ordered... it smells divine, a good hint of sage and floral hints that come from proper cultivation of baby tea leaves, what a heavenly and distinct flavor. Give my compliments to whoever steeped it." He said, taking the handle of the glass delicately between two fingers, lifting his pinky and sipping at the cup carefully and delicately. Ah so delicious, such a quaint delicate flavor. He sighed satisfied and smiling as he looked at the empty cup nodding his approval as the woman who had brought it turned to leave. Wait... wasn't he doing something... oh yeah training the new guy... he really had potential. He looked over at his still swinging fist nodding approval, the guy was taking hits well... Well time to see what he had learned. Haggar stopped for just a moment wheeling back pitcher style as he brought his front leg back and held the tea cup like a baseball. "Defend yourself... NOW" He screamed leaning forward and pitching the cup with all his might, causing it to be wrapped in fire as it left his had. Veyron was still in a daze however, as the fists stopped. He had long given up sighing or saying ow... well everything still hurt so it made sense really... though as he heard Haggar talk again he became confused... defend himself... from what? He thought even as he saw the flaming teacup headed right for him. OH GOD NOT AGAIN. He thought as he leaned back, raising both hands. Oh god oh god oh god... was all he could think as he thrust both hands forward, energy collecting subconsciously in his hands. Without even really meaning to, the blast leased itself impacting the flaming teacup and causing both of the things to dissipate with a loud shockwave. "That was some damn good defense, a good offense is always the best." Haggar said nodding in approval. "Say new guy... Where are you from? I say you've trained enough here, I can send you back with no issues at all." He says nodding and giving a thumbs up. "Err... Satan City... Haggar sir..." He says looking at the man confused. Haggar thought for a moment looking across the horizon before nodding at a spot and disappearing. In a flash he was Behind Veyron, a massive lead pipe clutched in his hands. "Welp good training ya, SEE YA." He yelled swinging the lead pipe with all of his might. Veyrons eyes widened as he raised his arms once again, this time somehow producing a Ki shield as the lead pipe connected his feet instantly leaving the ground and his body flying off in a huge spinning mass. "Ahhh looks like a home run to me." Haggar said, even as the crowd appeared again, cheering.

Sixty minutes was not enough for the platinum haired warrior to fully recover. The weird thing about exhaustion was that when one was tired and wanted to go to sleep, sixty minutes was enough to continue moving. It was almost similar to a power nap. Sixty minutes went by faster than a death beam if one was full of energy, pumped up and tried to go to sleep. One would find out that it was easier to sleep after Christmas, never before. Before he went to bed, he went over all of the moves that he was taught by Sonya and lectured himself on what Ki was and took Sonya’s lecture and molded it into his own words. “Her training regimen’s very different from Selmrof’s. Selmrof liked to work on one technique for a few days before we moved on to the next one. With Sonya it hasn’t even been a week yet and I’ve already learned how to fly, shoot Ki blasts, sense Ki signatures and leave afterimages. Not to mention there was more on the plate in an hour!” One hour later…
Reiko was just about to wake up from his sleep, feeling a little bit better than he did sixty minutes ago. Soreness from twenty-four hours ago decreased as well. While he was not one hundred percent he had more than enough to get through Sonya’s training today hopefully. The last few techniques he needed to send him off outside of the West City academy were going to be taught to him today. At this point, he did not bother bringing his Cryptic Chaos or the Tiger fang and Dragon Claw. The platinum haired warrior slowly got out of bed and did a quick stretch all over his body from his shoulders to his hamstrings. When he was done he already wanted to get back into bed but he resisted and began to suit himself up with his weighted clothing. He was about to put his jacket on when suddenly…
*BOOOOOOM!*
The platinum haired warrior flinched due to the sudden event as he looked out the window to see what the problem was. Was it Sonya training with Jeremy and Kai, or were those two just having a little bit of fun. Reiko got to the window and he, along with other students outside saw someone got knocked into the main walls of the West City Academy. At first, Reiko thought it was Jeremy and Kai putting on a show for the crowd. But when he saw the guy busting out of the rubble from the wall, it was neither of them, nor was it the person who was fighting him. The platinum haired warrior didn’t recognize them but the one that flew into the wall didn’t have too much muscle on his body compared to the one who was taunting him. Apparently the student came back to become the master.
The teacher showed off a wonderful display of Ki energy in Reiko’s eyes. His Ki energy levels emanated from his body which cause some students that were in close to stumble back. The platinum haired warrior wanted that power and it was through Sonya that he was going to take the first baby steps to that goal. It certainly was not going to be that teacher. After the warrior in black slammed him into the concrete face first, his teacher gave one last effort; one last maneuver that took the warrior by surprise. At this point the platinum haired warrior was outside watching from the sidelines. In the sidelines he saw Sonya, Jeremy and Kai who didn’t seem to pleased, or impressed by the actions they were seeing.
“Kaio-Ken?”
Reiko was unable to see what was going on; unable to see the shots the old teacher was delivering to the warrior in black. All he saw was jerks to the warrior’s body until he was sent flying to the skies by an enormous blast of ki energy. The platinum haired warrior along with everybody around him looked up to see if the old teacher did it. A few students celebrated to early, cheering for the teacher and giving him applause. That was until the warrior sent the ball of Ki energy right back at the man, and the Academy entrance as well.
“Oh s**t!”
The platinum haired warrior along with a few others made a break for it and ran away from the blast impact. Nobody seemed unlucky to get caught in the blast but that was all the warrior needed to swoop by like a bullet, grab the entirety of the old teacher’s face once more and delivered an epic, painful slam. This time it looked like the old teacher’s lights out for good. A technique the warrior launched called the Omega Blaster made sure however as the Blaster carried the man into the skies before it detonated, leaving nothing but smoke and human bits.this post=820 25572+820=26392 words

“Remember when I told you to distribute your Ki energy? I want you to do that, and then release it. Not from your hands, but all around you. Once you do that, make it into a sphere forming around you. This will be your energy shield technique.
After the catastrophe that happened minutes ago, a few students, especially some of his students were seen holding back their tears. A few people planned on building back the academy but since that took more than a day, some teachers offered to use their powers to build it back for free. Reiko didn’t know if they were really going to or not. All he knew was that when the majority of people went back to what they were doing, Sonya, Kai and Jeremy were still there, along with the platinum haired warrior. Reiko asked what the hell that with a shocked tone but Kai and Jeremy wasn’t surprised. They told him that some students come back to settle score’s with their master, whether it is to prove that they have improved or for other reasons. This day was a perfect example of one of them.
“Happens all the time Im not impressed. Id like to see him try that s**t with me but im sure he’ll back down because I’m not thin or have wrinkles..”
“That’s why the students always have to be steps behind the teacher, never the opposite. And if you ever decided to pull that on me Reiko…I’ll show you just how many steps you really are behind me. Training today is still on.” She said before she walked off to have a talk with the teachers who were going to fix this back to normal. This was still her school and if it looked like crap, and then they weren’t going to get new people to join. If that happened, they became jobless.
“Don’t worry Reiko she told us this before. But seriously, don’t push your luck when you start training with teachers outside of the Academy.”
“They’re teachers outside the Academy?”
“Kai…”
“Heh Heh nah. We don’t count the drunken ones who can’t fight anymore.” Kai said, correcting himself. He almost slipped telling Reiko that there were more teachers willing to take him in as a student. This meant that Sonya was just the first of many of his teachers.
The platinum haired warrior was now seen attempting to try the energy shield technique. He channeled the Ki in his body and began to spread it inside of his body like his teacher told him to do. Once he did he extended his hands expelled the energy from out of him, creating a bronze shield of Ki energy before it died out. Reiko had a confused expression at what happened but Sonya was right there to give him his explanation along with a tip. “At the moment you have to keep expelling your energy to keep the shield up. And don’t do it with your hands this time.”
Reiko gave her a nod and tried the technique once more. What he found out was that with the technique was difficult to pull off. When he finally imagined the Ki energy bursting out, Sonya saw the results, only it was not in the form of a sphere. She told him to do it again, concentrating on the sphere and keeping it up. The platinum haired warrior concentrated the Ki in his body once more and when he did is this time… “Bmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm” “Hold it, hold it keep it together.”
The platinum haired warrior saw the bronze shield around him and was so amazed at its display that he almost dropped the shield, which was seen with the quick flashes of it. Reiko stood there hands near his waist as he was mentally giving everything that he had to keep the shield up. The platinum haired warrior kept the shield up for almost half a minute before the shield suddenly went out and Reiko was mentally drained. He knees buckled for a second before he tried to get it together. That did not escape Sonya’s eyes, who was now skeptical on whether or not to teach him the solar flare or another important technique. “That’s the energy shield, one of the most important moves you’ll need to now. Depending on the energy you use to keep it up it can defend against a variety of attacks. You’ll see what I mean in 2 days.”
“What?”
“Take a break, learn what’s outside of the academy, travel to paradiso…you need the rest.”

So swallowing away the bitter taste of bile, Rosalia held her inpassive mask as the students around began to return to their own training or to help clean the mess up. 'I should leave for now, before something else happens.' She didn't allow her thoughts to wonder how else the day could get worse, so she turned away and walked through the hole of what was once the doors, using her good wing to easily overstep the rubble. It was only then that it was evident that her left wing was injured due to the yesterday sparring with her friend Yuni.
Sighing to herself as she merely looked up at the sky and watching out for any more insane students, Rosalia glanced about as she stood some feet from the school. Yuni must have returned to the Ninja Acamedy or something. Whatever, she supposed. 'Too bad I couldn't enjoy some of that battle... would have been entertaining.' Rosalia wince at that dark voice, and growled. 'Never.' Her energy spiked for just a few seconds before settling back down, and she shook her head as she walked slowly, seeing as she couldn't exactly fly.Character's Current Theme Song The Poet and the Pendulum Quote: --Stats--
