So, what we need to work on is...: -ROOM plot -Contest -Characters for now...that's just the basic. Room plot and characters should probably come first, and we'll each be holding a contest...or most of us will be.

my contest, if allowed, would be a one-verse song writing contest. love song, of course. i'd prefer the Love side of our room.

cool idea Sailor. Maybe we could have a contrasting contest for a one verse song about envy. And we do need to work on the room plot or a rough version anyway *chucks up a load of GLITTER and MONEY and STARS and PLAIN AWESOMENESS (don't ask how i can chuck up awesomeness, because awesome people can just do it naturally(Awesome people=the envy + love room members)) :p less than 3 <3 heart

Right. Like Dusky said, we need to start on the characters and plot. =D (This is gonna be fun! One of the best bits of the Ball! =D)
ANY IDEAS of the dimension, scenario, plot or characters you have in mind, POST AWAY IN THIS THREAD. EXPRESS YOUR CREATIVITY AND SHOOT AWAY!!
To those new to the Annual Ball, let me explain a few things first:
The room plot is obviously, the story of our room. We are free to do anything we want as long as it coincides with the main plot. =D Since we'll be trapped in our own sort of dimension in the tower, that gives us a LOT of freedom to express and choose our roles. =D So this, mainly, comes first. Plot determines everything, including the characters.
Characters. In case some of you don't know, everyone of you will be a character for the ball, and your role will be very crucial in keeping the story going. First, we must finish the plot, then everyone can choose who they wish to be. =D You are free to give some input on the kind of character you want to be, but please don't be upset if we don't manage to find a character you wish to be. =)
Finally, the contests. There will be a compulsory MAIN CONTEST in the Room which resolves the final conflict of the room (in this case, stopping the chaos between Envy and Love), and one compulsory King and Queen of the Room contest. The rest are absolutely up to us. =D Last year, we have all the members from our room host one contest each (which is not the main contest or King and Queen as that is normally hosted by the hosts and co-hosts of the room), so be prepared to think of an idea for the contest you would like to host. The contest can range from anything from art to story or song writing to tektek contests, so it's really up to you, but EVERY CONTEST must also be related or have something to do with the room. However, if you're not very confident in hosting a whole contest by yourself, feel free to host one with someone else. =D Like the saying goes, two is always better than one. xD But this comes later in the planning, SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT TOO MUCH JUST YET. XD
The plot process will be something like this: Ideas and discussions shall be held in this thread, and occasionally weekend meetings. I will try to piece together everyone's ideas and opinions and come up with something. Then, to finalise the plot, I'll be sending each of you a PM of the plot, and you can give your feedback whether you agree on the plot, or changes that can be made to make the plot much better. Then everything will be much easier.
So right now, what we have to think of is... a) Envy and Love's Backstory b) The conflict between them and what triggered it c) Their current dilemma d) How they resolve the conflict e) How we can use other characters to bring out the story f) The characters personalities
Uh. 0.0 *slowly... backs... away... from... Sailor* No? Actually, the role of the room host and co-host is Envy and Love respectively. It has been pre-determined from once the host and co-host will be selected. Which means Dusky and I will be playing Envy and Love, and you guys will get to choose whatever you wanna be!! =D But you raised and excellent point, Sailor. We should decide the character of the descendant, and his/her role in our room. Also, your contest idea sounds VERY fun and interesting!! =D It'll be wonderful if we have a fun contest like that! Great job thinking bout it! =D I take it you'll like to host it?
Speaking of that, I call for a meeting next Saturday. For Dusky and Cakes time, it'll be around late morning or noon, and for those in the UK it will be at night. Is it possible for the majority of you to make it?

well, i think that the descendants of the people who sealed envy and love away should match their corresponding person. love= sweet and kind and always willing to make friends, and envy= not very sociable, and prefers to hang in the sidelines and be all... envious. stuff like that. i imagine that shun and dusky will be the envy and live, so i'd like to be the descendant of the person who sealed away love, if allowed! if that a bit too much, then sorry... i would like to have that role though...

Sailor: Yes. Your idea sounds great! =D Descendant(s) who understand how the sin and virtues feel, who understands what they're going through (or went through) and thus being able to seal/control them, and help them resolve the conflict. But so far, we don't know how many descendants we're allowed to have. 0.o Maybe I'll ask Lady A about that. Or wait till the final plot is released to confirm it.
So far, excluding Dusky and I, there are 5 other members in this room. So we can have approximately 3-4 other characters (just in case some people are unable to attend during the actual ball date). This is my idea: We have a one character each that are close to Envy and Love respectively (could be a friend, lover, pet, their inner demon/angel, anything!!), and one/two descendants, depending on what we can do.
My opinion is, we shouldn't try to stereotype Envy and Love into what everyone usually perceives them to be. Envy doesn't have to be a character who's always envious of other people. He/She can be someone who always cause others to be envious of him/her (such as being rich, attractive physical appearance, looking like he/she has everything), even to those who are closest to him/her, and thus is void of love in his/her life, and maybe become envious of others who receive unconditional love. And that's where love comes in, to fill that void. And this could be why Envy and Love used to be so close to each other. As for Love, he/she is someone who triggers the feeling of love and belonging in others, and receive plenty of love and attention in return. ... I dunno how. Yet. :/
It'll be very interesting if in physical appearance, both Envy and Love doesn't fill the criteria of what others stereotype them to be. Should Envy be a he or a she? Should Love be a he or a she? Most people would guess Envy is the guy and Love is the girl. What if it's the other way round? Girls normally envy other girls more. Who said Love can't be a guy? Or should we go with Love as a girl as girls are normally more sensitive? Going back to topic, what if Envy is a childlike, petite person with a very bright and social personality, but is usually ignored by others because of others' envy towards him? And perhaps Love is a buff, strong person who looks intimidating at first glance, but is actually someone who is very kind, caring and loving to those he/she thinks deserves it? It could be protective love, tough love (though I don't think that'll work :/), caring love, platonic love, or a combination of some of them! It could be anything and everything!! We should try to think out of the box to surprise our guests in the Ball! Anything, people! Anything! Even crap! XD

I would love to a part of the Envy half of the room, which to some may sound weird (they need to get over the fact that I am in fact weirder then weird xp ) I always thought of envy as a girl and love as a girl but that may just be me. Sailor-*backes away slowly raising both hands in surrender* Glitter overrules awesomeness you win, just don't hurt me 'These are not the droids you are looking for' I love Tangled it's funny and one of my favourite disney movies Yui-roks is bursting in wanting there to be a Haiku contest and is wondering if she could run or help run it *she loves haikus btw everytime there is a haiku contest she writes a gazillion and tries to pick one that she will submit*

DDDD: SORRY sad I been gone...haven't I >.< I'm sorry sad I went on a skiing trip with the boy scouts... I WAS THE ONLY FREAKING GIRL THERE!! Seriously... it was me and like 15 DUDES playing poker......it was so fun biggrin I skied my very first double black diamond in crappy crappy conditions of ice...woot!! Anyway, I love this: Quote: My opinion is, we shouldn't try to stereotype Envy and Love into what everyone usually perceives them to be. He/She can be someone who always cause others to be envious of him/her (such as being rich, attractive physical appearance, looking like he/she has everything), even to those who are closest to him/her, and thus is void of love in his/her life, and maybe become envious of others who receive unconditional love. We should try to think out of the box to surprise our guests in the Ball! Anything, people! Anything! Even crap! XD I agree with the bolded things. Underlined part: You know who you're reminding me of right now? *cough* Ares *coughcough*. What? :] That was amazing, though, you have to admit. I agree that we should think outside the box. I don't know about Envy being a really social person, because then there would be people who like them, but these are my thoughts on the character: Small girl/boy who is pretty. People are usual envious of them but don't like him/her for some reason. Maybe Envy has gotten a little snobish and stuck up from all the attention which is why Envy and Love got in a fight? Maybe? They tend to be jealous of Love because of his/her attitude. Love: I pictured love and envy as sisters, but it might be better to have love a dude. Guys can be really sweet, you know. So if Love is a guy (we would change his name, obviously), he'd try to act kind of tough but he's actually really sweet and tries to appease everyone...which (this could be another reason for the fight) makes him a little annoyed and weary at the end of the day when he's with Envy. Then Envy might get jealous of how love is always paying attention to everyone but his little brother? See, now that I've thought of it I'm actually thinking of them both being guys where love is an older brother who envy really admires, but he gets kind of jealous of how his brother doesn't give him any attention. This could be the reason for the fight, then at the end love finally realizes he has to pay attention to his little brother? Or maybe envy is just jealous that Love (as the older brother) gets more attention... I dunno, thoughts? And again, I'm sorry I've been gone, but I'm back now! Pass around the glitter and awesomeness! Oh, btw, since I guess I'm a host now, according to Shu, I beat you ALL with... (BUM BUM BUM) ...EPICNESS. That's right, I saw your awesome and raised you an epic!! Man...I've been playing too much poker this weekend smile
