IceeWitch Avatar34 That's fine withe me but, we would have to take on of our usual articles away to make room for yours (if I'm counting correctly)....Hold on let me check...
Edit: Okay, so if I'm counting correctly we have 9 articles (not including the one you would like to do).
1. Birthday's 2. Just for Fun 3. Ask the Elf 4. Horoscopes 5. Wizarding World Past Events 6 Recipe 7. M.o.t.M. 8. ToC 9. Staff 10. Note from Editor
So, that should leave room for one or two more. If we don't we could always bump Wizarding Events.
What's the Headline????
I want to see the PM from theCeej
We don't have an "Headline" piece, yet. We can make yours the Headline if you'd like.
I'll send it over Icee.
Lyra, wanted to have someone do an article on that volcano in Iceland that erupted. Would someone like to write about that?

I didn't forget. I'm just thinking of idea's and haven't really come up with anything yet, so I haven't posted anything. We could do Lyra's idea and do the Volcano story,it be like a muggle story.
Do you want your article in the HM's next issue Icee? I'm a little confused now. We wouldn't have to bump anything. I was just saying before if we did do your idea and Lyra's idea's and we need more space then we had to we could bump that.

Okay so I using Lexicon to do some of my Articles when I thought that June is always the Month that where big things happen because, it's right before they leave the school. So here is a list of the major events that happened:
June
first week - final exams; N.E.W.T.s and O.W.L.s begin
4 - (1992) - Harry Potter defeats Quirrell/Voldemort in the chamber of the Philosopher's Stone/Sorcerer's Stone
second week - N.E.W.T.s and O.W.L.s conclude
23 - (1980) Dudley Dursley born
24 - (1995) - Third Task of the Triwizard Tournament
(1995) beginning of Voldemort's second rise to power
mid-month - (1997) - Battle of the Tower and the death of Albus Dumbledore
third or fourth week - end of summer term
Leaving Feast - awarding of points and House Cup
Hogwarts Express travels back to London So, with some of these being major Event's in the books, I though maybe for this Month that we could write our Event article over something that happened this Month in the book. It could be, for example, The Battle of the Tower. From there it could be an opinion article, or an article informing everyone with what did and didn't happened in the Battle, or high points of the Battle from both sides.
OR we could have 2 people write an article and one would have to have not read the 6th book and then the 2nd person would have had to read the 6th book. Then both of them would write what they think/thought would happen and why they think that.
So, what does everyone think? Is it a good idea? Suggestions?
Oh, and Kaylin I forgot to answer your question a while back. You weren't sure what was used already. I've done Rock Cakes and Ton-Tongue Toffee. As for before I wrote the recipe article you would have to check the old issues to be sure what was done and what wasn't.

Attention!
Everyone who writes for the HM and turns their article in by the deadline will receive 10 Points for each article written. If you don't turn in the article until after the deadline Points will be subtracted until you get to 5 Points. If you don't turn in your article at all then you will receive 0 Points for writing that Month.
If your article is received after the deadline, it will still be posted, that hasn't changed.
If you wrote for the Monthly's April or May Issue you have already received your Points and they have been added to the Hourglasses.

Also, Juice Box is going to do a review on a book for us. So we have another post filled for the June Issue.

You might belong in Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart... Thanks for answering my question! ((truthfully, I had completely forgotten about it! biggrin ))
But when is the deadline again? ...Their Daring, Nerve, and Chivalry set gryffindor apart.

The deadline is always 3 days before the last day of the month. So, this month it falls on the 29th.

The deadline is a Saturday for me, which is perfect.
The volcano thing is kind of old news now. I was thinking more of a section about a current important/interesting event (which, at the time I mentioned it, was the volcano). I like your idea though.
Ok, I'm blanking. What is M.o.t.M?
I should be fine getting the birthdays done. I'll just have to somehow make some time to find trivia for the Just for Fun section. I assume Kstar (Kaylin, I think) will still write/find some stuff for that section?
July and August articles should be a bit better. I have a week off early in June but then a couple weeks of big exams. The deadline for the July article will be the day after my last exam. After that I've got two weeks off, which will give me time for the August article.

@Lyra: Great. That will make it easier this month.
Your idea about the current events would it still be like a Muggle view or would it be from a Wizarding World Point of view?
M.o.t.M is Member of the Month.
Kaylin (Kaylin is ksatr13) already assured me that she would be doing both articles. If you still need help with Just for Fun again just let me know. Just do it as soon as you find out though because, I have a lot going on as well.
Great, we should have more time after your exams.
Just out of curiosity, when is your Summer Break?

For some reason my PMs aren't working...I think so I'll post here.
I love that idea about writing about an Event. The only thing is I think you might have a hard time finding someone who hasn't read the 6th book and it actually willing to write for the article(if you wanna do the two people write the article thing) Otherwise that would be something really cool to read. Maybe you can even have two people write two different events...?

Current event: I was originally thinking Muggle event, but I suppose wizarding world event would work too.
Just for Fun: Oh good. I'll let you know if I need help.
Summer break: Summer in the Southern hemisphere is December, January, and February. My summer break normally starts about mid-November and ends about mid-February. If you mean summer break as in YOUR summer, then I have 2 weeks off from June 28th to July 11th (between Semester 1 and Semester 2). [June 7th to 11th is a study break, and then exams from June 14th to 26th (my last exam is on a Saturday, how evil is that?), and after exams is the break I mentioned above.]

Well, one affects another so... I'm working on someone to do the article for the Event and Juice is doing a review on a book for us. So, we should wind up with 12 posts exactly. Unless, Icee wants to put her article in the paper then we could bump Wizard Past Events (Just for this month).
Okay.
Wow, everything is backwards. (Totally evil to have an exam on a Saturday.)

Yeah, I still get confused about what season it is, and which season it's going to be next. I went from having a freezing cold, white, snowy Christmas to a warm, sunny Christmas. It still seems odd and I've been here for almost 2 years now.
Oh good, 12 posts. So that's the 10 you mentioned earlier, plus a book review and event article, right? What about the special announcements post?
