Philonoist Actually, to avoid any extremely...erm, opinionated Wiccans, I suppose I should change the religion part. Because I've seen lots of them throwing expletives at those who use the name and aren't with some coven and don't have a spiffy pedigree leading to Gardner, whom from my understanding, was just the first guy to make Wicca public against his coven's rules.
Although I don't care about other's opinions on things that are really my own business, such as religion, I did chose to become part of a guild based upon such a subject. Therefore, to make things much easier for me and to avoid conflict, I'll change it to, hm....how about "Ecletic Individual", since I just do what I think I should be doing, and most of what I end up doing just happens to fall under Wicca...
I also edited a few other things about me. 3nodding Gee, thanks. I'm glad you're only being intellectually honest so you can avoid conflict.

Yes, Philonoist, that's pretty bad form neutral The requirements for membership are pretty well explained in the rules section and on the main page. Knowing the import of learning and discussion, and of intellectual honesty, why did you join if you intend to avoid all three?
There is a Wicca sticky in the main forum and a discussion thread in our ED. It's more important to me, for one, that you understand what Wicca is than you drop the title out of some bizarre desire to kowtow. We don't want you to stop using the word and remain in ignorance. I'd rather you understood what Wicca is, and what you personally do, and why the two are different enough to warrant different names.
Yes?
Also I get the feeling either someone's deleting posts or they're going missing >_<

Oh, I know full well what Wicca is. Mind you, I only joined this guild to discuss relating topics, not just to learn.
I am definitely not trying to kowtow to anyone, in fact, I'd sooner die than do something of the sort. I only changed it to avoid conflict. For my advantage. Because honestly I have better things to do than argue with the likes of you.
Thank you, good day.

Thank you, good day. No one's arguing yet, Philonoist wink You know full well what Wicca is, yet the only reason you changed it was to avoid conflict? I don't understand. If you're a Wiccan, fine. All you have to do is provide the name of your tradition and speak with a knowledge of Wicca, really. If Morg wants to obtain a vouch then I support her in her wish to do so, and that can be between you two.

If Morg wants to obtain a vouch then I support her in her wish to do so, and that can be between you two. Nah. She flounced. Why, I'm not exactly sure - after all, she's the one that brought up the subject, and in a defensive manner from the get-go. No-one was harassing her about anything; she chose to make the change herself, and announce her reasons for it. I'm not pleased, obviously, but I wasn't abusive about it. So I don't know why she flounced - unless she simply wanted to avoid the topic entirely. The topic that -she- brought up. People are weird.
