Lyra swallowed once, hard and frowned at the odd feeling that stirred in her. Not able to place it, she simply shrugged it off and made a low humming sound in the back of her throat. Sighing she reached around and pulled off the small, dull blade that she carried with her. She really needed to learn how to use a weapon...perhaps she'd ask Lucid...or even Arjay since he was willing to spend time with her. Tossing it onto the sand she turned and stood inches away from him. She had originally intended to try to knock him into the water but now...she wasn't sure if she wanted to do that. Granted she had an undeniable urge to touch and the dunking would give her an excuse to do that, she just wasn't sure she could handle that yet. Not to mention she be going down with him, but it might be worth it, she thought, once again considering. Deciding what the hell, she waited...timing her fall with the push of the waves to add force into it, she fell against him, pushed and deliberately let her legs tangle up with his, knowing that is she actually did manage to knock him into the water, she would be going with him.

I let myself fall under the water, pulling her along with me. Pulling my legs free of hers, I kicked my feet, propelling myself a bit deeper. I didn't let of of her, however, pulling her along with me as I made my way into the deeper water. When we surfaced, I slid an arm about her waist, holding her above the water. "I'm going to teach you how to swim." I said using my free hand to push my hair out of my face. "Lesson one; floating." End of message.

Lyra clung to him when she found that she could no longer touch bottom. It only took her a few moments to realize that if it weren't for his hold on her she would be at the mercy of the waves that seemed to be moving toward the shore with much more force than they appeared to from the shore. Shaking her head to get her hair out of her face she pressed tighter against him and only frowned and ignored it when that odd feeling stirred sharply in her gut. She didn't know what it was and it certainly made her uncomfortable but since she couldn't pinpoint what was causing it she let it go for now. "Tell you what...how about we start smaller...a little bit please before we move onto something like swimming in the ocean...or could we maybe do it a little later?" she asked, and unconsciously pouted, looking down hesitantly at the water before peeking back up at him from underneath her lashes.

I looked down at her just in time to see the pout. She was right, the ocean was rough and even the best swimmers could get pulled under by the undertow. Heaving a small sigh, I nodded. "There is a pool by the bar, inside the castle. I can teach you there." I said, swimming back to the shore. I could teach her in the pool, but I wouldn't get too many opportunities with Hiratoshi awake and the soul didn't sleep often. "Some other time.." I pushed her onto the sand with one hand, stepping out of the water beside her. I reformed the things I had removed with magic, drying myself as I did so. I also formulated a cloak. "The next time it sleeps." I said, pointing up the cliffs to where the sword rested. "I will find you." I then started back up the pathway to retrieve Hiratoshi. End of message.

Ali allowed herself a small laugh, "I think that the tub will suffice." She removed her cloak and walked towards the bath. She perched herself gently on the rim, "What do I need to do?" she inquired, raising her face to look at Gabriel. "When I have finished, where could I go to eat?" She was very hungry, but her desire to feel fresh overwhelmed her need for nourishment.

Gabriel let his gaze pass over her for a moment, then placed his hand on a panel in the wall just above the tub. Pushing it in, he smiled. The wall made a grinding sound, then slid open to reveal a somewhat modern faucet. Hitting the dial on this faucet, he glanced over at her. "This opens the pipe so that water flows into the tub." he said, motioning as hot water began to stream into the tub from the opening in the faucet. "The water comes out fairly hot, so be careful or you'll burn yourself." Straightening from the tub, he crossed his arms over his chest. "To stop the water flow, tap that dial again until it stops. The screen can be pulled around the tub if you wish, and I can stay here to keep you company. When you're done with your bath, I'll guide you to the kitchen." End of message.

She considered the demon for a moment. "I would like that." she stated. She walked over to her pack, withdrawing a single elastic band. She quickly pulled her long ebony hair up and secured it tightly. She walked over to the screen and pulled it to where she could hide herself, but still see Gabriel as she bathed. Ali removed her clothing and slide into the hot water, a sigh escaping her lips as she laid back. She could feel the tension leaving her tired muscles. "How long have you lived here?" she asked, not sure what to say. She then tapped the dial as she had been instructed.

Gabriel pulled the chair from in front of the fireplace over to the screen and sat, propping his legs up on the edge of the tub. He could have simply pushed the screen aside, but he was polite and resisted the urge. "I actually only just returned to this place." he said quietly, leaning back in the chair so that the back was against the wall. He braced his head upon the wall and closed his eyes. "I've been gone for centuries.." He tried to count the many centuries he had spent away from his master, but couldn't remember. His hand found the tag on the collar around his neck and he ran his finger over the smooth metal there. The bell jingled in protest, making faint tinkling noises. He smiled hearing the sound. "Where did you come from?" End of message.

Centuries, she thought. He appeared to be human. That did not matter right now. "Me? Nowhere to be honest." Ali told him. "My father and I have moved around for most of my life. My mother died when I was still a child." She could not remember her mother. She closed her eyes to try and see her mother's face, but there was nothing. "I do not even know what she looks like any more." Ali admitted. She finished her bath and replaced her clothes. "Are you ready to go to the kitchen?" she inquired.

Gabriel opened his eyes and stared at her for a long moment. He then allowed the chair to tip forward again so that it rested on all four legs. He stood, motioning to the door. "Ladies first." he said, giving her a winning smile. "Down the hall on your left when you go out." He touched the water in the tub, using his magic to heat the water there, raising the temperature until the water boiled. In this way, the water would evaporate quickly and leave the tub quite clean.

Ali nodding in understanding and exited out the door. She followed his directions and soon found herself back where she had started. She sat down and waited for Gabriel, she didn't know where anything was. Ali took in the scene around her, it was very nice. She would have never imagined that the castle would look so grand on the inside. All outward appearances made it seem as any other castle but it truly was remarkable.

Gabriel, who had followed her after ensuring that the tub was void of water, strode past her at an easy pace. He moved around the bar, motioning for her to follow. "I'm not a waitress, Ali." he said, a teasing note in his voice. He then moved through the door that was just behind the bar. Searching the walls close to the door, he found the torch. Touching the tip, he used a small burst of fire starting to light it. Light flooded the room that made up the kitchen. "Everything you could possibly want to eat will be here..feel free to scrounge. I'm going to leave to your own devices for now." Turning to her, he reached up and brushed a finger down her nose, then moved past her and headed toward the pools. He wanted to relax a bit before going out to look for his Master and the heat of the pools beneath the castle would help him do just that.

Slipping silently down the corridors, Seth wondered if he was still quick enough on his feet to get past Lucid's underground chambers and to the heating pools without alerting him. His muscles were knotted and screaming for relief that he knew the pools would bring. As a child it had been a rather entertaining game, to see how many times he could slip under Lucid's guard. Granted it didn't happen very often but when it did it was worth it. Seeing Gabriel moving at an easy pace ahead of him Seth abandoned his plan of trying to sneak past Lucid with a wicked grin on his face. Of course the only better than picking on Lucid...was picking on Lucid's pet. Silently slipping up behind Gabriel, Seth reached out an tugged on a lock of the hair that fell to the demons mid-back. "Well, well, look at this, mister I have no wish to resemble a female came around after all." he said, laughter in his voice and in his eyes. "How have you been Gabe?" he asked, rocking back on his heels. He knew perfectly well that the nickname had always annoyed the hell out the demon and for some reason he still found great satisfaction in giving the two men that raised him as much hell as he could.

Gabriel heaved a small sigh, pausing in his stride to turn and glare at Seth. The glare faded quickly, however, when he noted how nice the scrawny kid had filled out. He was actually handsome. The Seth that Gabriel remembered was scrawny and had still had a lot of growing to do. This man standing in front of him now was tall, lean, and everything that the teen had not been. "No, I haven't 'come around'," he said, his tone only slightly annoyed. "I simply haven't cut it in a while." He let his gaze move slowly over Seth, as if committing every inch of the man's body to memory. "Have you already seen Master?" he asked then, lifting his gaze to Seth's face.

"Of course, he met me as I came in." he answered and raised an eyebrow at the way he was being studied. "Do I really look that different?" he asked, rather amused by the whole thing. Talon who was feeling much better after hunting, flew silently into the room and circled above the mens heads. Pleased to see Gabriel, he let out a soft cry of greeting and drifted down the land on the arm that his master had automatically lifted. Turning his head he looked expectantly at Gabriel. :It has been long old friend.: were his only words as he was also amused by the way that Gabriel was watching Seth, for very different reasons of course. He knew that his master wouldn't be aware what such a look from the demon meant but Talon certainly did.
