She loved the fact that he could so easily handle the way she chose to move on top of him now. Before he'd stiffen slightly then relax and just sit there. Now, he thought nothing of brushing his fingers over her skin and even stealing a random kiss though he was careful to watch such activities when little elves were around. "Come here, Kelligrin. Show me what you got." Plopping the baby on her own lap so that he was between the two of them, she gave a grin to Sevilin. "You don't have to but you certainly like to. It's probably better for both of us that you do."

He raised a hand to ruffle his son’s hair as the little one was quite happy with his energy fireflies and the like. Indeed his mood was improving…he wasn’t sure how it happened but it was. “I admit I like too…I’m just a pedestal crasher I suppose. Besides, no one likes it when you’re up there and trying to be high and mighty.”

He was pissed off and not afraid to show it in the least. His mother had been getting progressively bitchier as the days went on. For once in his life, he actually didn't want to be around her and thus, he'd left home. Not permanently of course because his father would have his head for it, but he was looking for a temporary place to stay. With Malikhai gone, his top choice was null and void. Plopped in his usual tavern, he brooded into the ale the innkeeper had set down before him and sighed. Life sucked.

Clapping the boy on the back he plopped down next to him with his own tankard of ale, chuckling. "Well I haven't seen a young elf look so glum in quite a long time. What's got your ears in a twist?" Nadai pinned the boy with a look and sipped at his drink some.

He glanced over, surprised to hear his voice and then sighed. "Mother's pissing me off, my best friend has been gone for entirely too long and I have no current female company around to drown my sorrows in. Things just suck right now." Blowing out a frustrated breath and looking at him. "Not that you really care about any of that..."

A look around the tavern then back to the boy. "You mean out of all the girls making eyes at you here, you're not going to go after one to sate your need for attention?" Shrugging. "Suit yourself." Tending his drink once more for a few moments. "Not care hm? Maybe you're just being confrontational to be confrontational. I would think you'd be training or something."

"Not having too much luck with females right now." Shaking his head and then glancing down at his hand that still bore the marks from where Destyny had snapped at him earlier. "With my luck, I'll get a drink or two thrown on me." Glancing at him with those cutting teenager eyes. "I haven't done a damn thing! I've been snapped at so many times in the last three days that I'm sick and tired of it." Now he was just being mean.

A blink and then he called over the bar tender, ordering something in a small glass that was set down in front of him and he slid it in front of the boy. "You need something stronger. So...care to get anything else off your chest? That's what taverns are for you know." Looking to the boy's hand but not touching to inspect, knowing the teen wouldn't take it well.

Zykariel squeezed his fingers and sighed. He really just wanted to be a little kid again, taken care of by everyone and able to put his head down and just cry. He didn't understand what was going on, couldn't figure out why tensions were so high in his house and why nothing seemed to please his mother anymore. "This was cheap." He glanced at the smaller glass, picking it up with a cautionary sniff. Shrugging, he tossed the shot back and winced at the burn down his throat. Not as strong as some drinks he'd been given but it packed enough of a punch. "I have nowhere to go."

"Well I'm here now, no need for cheap." He signaled for another one of the small glasses to be set down, knowing that he was enabling the boy but also remembering being a boy himself too. A blink though at the younger elf's words. He didn't think Zahara the kind to kick her children out of her house. "Nowhere to go? Did your mother tell you to get out or something?"

Eyeing the empty glass that was rather quickly replaced, he tossed another shot back and nodded. "Thanks." No, he hadn't been forcibly kicked out but he had left. "No but I've got two choices. I can stay at home until I am kicked out by a demon-possessed mother or leave before it can happen. I've opted for door number two and have nowhere to go."

"Demon possessed mother..." Okay that was new. He probably was exaggerating but that's what teenagers are all about aren't they? "Well you know what? How about you stay at my place with me. As your mother kindly pointed out, it's the most appropriate bachelor pad there is." Chuckling lightly at that and sipping at his own drink once more, looking to the boy to see what he had to say. "You can stay long as you want, let things cool down a bit at home."

"I swear. I don't have a clue what's gotten into her. One minute she'll be all sweet and ask me to do something and the next thing I know, she's snapping at me about something I should have done or something I didn't do right." Rubbing his cheek. "She slapped me today because I told her I'd get to the dishes in a minute." His shoulders slumped and he stared down at the drink, tossing it back. The alcohol was doing wonders towards loosening his tongue and making him feel better. "I just...can't do anything right anymore."

"So is that a yes or a no?" Clapping the boy on the back once more and shaking his head. "That's how women are. And your mother is pregnant you know. Pregnant women do that." Shrugging lightly and watching the boy once more. Another drink ordered up for him...he knew he shouldn't be getting the kid smashed so that was going to be the last one, he was just trying to douse the fuse on the kid. "I'm sure it's more her than you. Don't be so hard on yourself."

He looked at him like he was stupid for a minute. "Yes. I thought I said that?" He must not have. Whoo...alcohol was making him wonky. But he blinked at Nadai for a long moment. "She's pregnant?" Well, maybe that did explain things a bit. How come she hadn't told him? How come his dad hadn't told him? HOW COME THERE WERE SO MANY DAMN SECRETS?!
