Running practically for her life, Kiah burst through the doors of the Common Room and flew over the couch, quickly slamming to the ground to hide herself. Her eye twitched and she curled in on herself for a second from the force of her elbow hitting marble, but soon recovered and rolled under the couch, trying to keep her breathing quiet.
"C... Come back...," a tall, well muscled man with narrowed green eyes came panting into the room, holding a vial with a pink liquid inside with one hand. Kyle brushed his sandy brown hair back and tried not the jostle the various containers clutched in his other arm, examining the room while frowning in concentration.

Kanda had been sitting in one of the chairs munching on his soba when Kiah flew into the room and under the couch. He wasn't startled, but he stopped chewing for a minute as he stared, not sure how to react. Before he could comprehend what was happening, he saw the man enter the room. He had never seen Kyle before, so he had no idea who he was. It didn't take much thought to gather that Kiah was hiding from him.
"Looking for something?"
He stared flatly at Kyle.

Kyle’s eyes instantly turned to the spot where the obviously male voice had spoken, seeing his figure and staring with his mouth agape. He tilted his head one way, then the other before clearing his throat and looking away, somewhat horrified. If he’d seen the long-haired man before hearing him, he might have tried picking him up.
“Uh... Yeah! Have you seen a blonde-haired girl, about this tall, running around like a crazy person, and being a pansy in general?” Kyle waved the hand with the vial in it at Kiah’s height after recovering, smiling dopily.

Without faltering, he answered with a tone just as flat as his stare.
"Can't say I have. I don't know any girls like that. Pansies, I mean."
He was cool and collected, and gave away not even the slightest indication that Kiah might be hiding in the room with them.

Kyle scowled at the man’s tone of voice, finding him way too serious for his liking. “Are you sure...? I could have sworn she’d come in here...,” he raised an eyebrow and started walking around the room to look for her, not noticing the catch implied in the long-haired man’s words. “Who are you, anyway? I’ve never seen you here before...”
Kiah curled up a little tighter in a ball to avoid being seen, still steaming at the pansy remark. She was happy to hear Kanda defending her, but she’d be even happier when Kyle was out of the room with those stupid potions of Komui’s.

Kanda set his soba aside and stood up, moving to step in front of Kyle, one hand rested on Mugen's hilt as usual.
"I think I should be the one asking you that question. I've only been an Exorcist here for nine years."
He stood at his full height and kept his chin up, his eyes still boring into Kyle.

Liv trotted into the room with a plate of warm cookies from the kitchen, as well as a pitcher of milk and some cups for anyone that might want some, "Oh hello boys~ What's going on here? Kyyyyle~? Yuuuuu~?"
