Zykariel laughed, "I think that happened anyway, Dad. I eat nearly as much as you, sometimes more it seems like. Aunt Piper is consistently amazed." Chuckling and then quieting once again. Talk of his mother brought up so many memories that it was crazy at times. "Yeah...I guess she did." Shaking his head and then yawning but trying to cover it up at the same time. "I'm sorry, Dad....I think I'm going back to reverie."

"I was more worried about the lack of eating rather than the over eating." Ruffling his first born's hair before giving a nod at his yawning. "It's alright, you need your rest anyway." In old habit it pressed a kiss to his son's hair as the boy laid back. "I love you Zykariel, big as the underdark." Getting himself and walking away as the words 'and beyond' trailing off made his ears twitch from his son.
A little reassuring of his wife and baby before they took the rest of the day as it came, checking in on Zykariel from time to time before they retired to bed. Though Sevilin couldn't reverie...his mind was working, thoughts and gears shifting and turning. He wanted to let go of everything so badly...he would never stop worrying as long as one factor remained. Getting paper and ink, he penned out a letter and sealed it, marking it with the original Inthara house crest. It was a matter of a runic spell to send it to it's destination before he headed back to bed, curling up to his wife and pulling her close, burying his face into her neck. The hard part was going to be not getting her involved...hm, he'd need a good excuse.

She was only half aware of her surroundings, bonds quite content at the moment. She'd assumed he was checking on their son and chuckled softly, reaching back and running her fingers through his hair. "He's fine, Raven. You'd know if he wasn't." Turning in his hold and sighing softly then nuzzling his own neck and curling her body intimately against his.
Blood red eyes scanned over the envelope for a moment, painted lips tilting up in a rueful way. One dark finger slid an escaping strand of silvery-white hair back behind her ear and she strolled into the other room. "This just came for you." Bowing her head in respect and setting it down in front of the other elf, then taking her proper seat.

Brooding from her dias in the house below the surfaces of Andal she was bored again, and contemplative. But blood red eyes turned up to glance at the familar and favored figure. Snatching the paper she glanced at the insignia...well all her sisters were home and she wasn't senting mail to herself...hmm...Pulling out a sharp pin holding back her hair that was fashioned to look like a small dagger, she split the seal, reading over the contents. Rage filled her eyes immediately and she bolted up. "Grab both our things. We're going on a trip."
It was all a matter of time and he knew that much. She'd come like the devil as if her heels were on fire. Zahara couldn't know...and he couldn't risk losing her. "I know, I just like to check. He tries to play tough." Hardly the reason he had been up but he wasn't about to reveal things. He had to distract her...and he knew a good way to do it, as bad as it may seem...but at the same time...it was the perfect fairwell if necessary. Smoothing his hand down her body as she turned into him he started with those ever so loved by her rune mage fingers. She would at least be content and know how deeply he loved her, just in case. A nuzzle at her neck, pressing a kiss there. "I have to work later...on the borders."

"I love it when you worry." Her eyes drifted closed and she sighed dreamily then caught her breath as he played her body like a harp. He knew how to make her feel good and she was more than willing to let things drift into that sort of territory. Wrapping her body tightly around his, she blinked at him for a moment and then pushed herself up so that she was lingering over him. "Work?" But Malik was gone... Straddling him easily and dropping kisses along his cheeks and chin, nibbling at his ear in an attempt to convince him of the appropriate answer to her next question. "Can't it wait?"
She simply nodded. When an order like that was given, there was no arguing. You simply rearranged your schedule. Besides....she was kind of curious as to what had upset her so badly. The letter was family-oriented, there was no mistaking that seal.

"I didn't say right away, I said later." Which was soonish honestly in his opinion. Grinning as she decided she was indeed on the right thinking track and he wasn't playing hard to get today with his body either. "I just have to get to it today, even though Malik is away I still have to keep track on things...there's some reports I have to take care of." Grinning at her before a shift found her the one being straddled and a shift of hips only made things more intimate as he brushed his lips over hers. "I'm on top this time. Now hush and enjoy."
Inside the letter was all the proof she needed and all the information she needed as well. Waiting for her young apprentice she led the girl to portal gates along with a low level rune mage, having the mage fix coordinates for her. She was further not pleased when they blinked into existance in the middle of nowhere of barren underdark...but frankly right where the map had indicated. As much as she wasnted to tear through this place the instant she was there...she did hate trapising. "Why don't you be useful and fun us something small to play with until our...appointment arrives?"

"How about later later?" But that argument died pretty much on her lips as he moved things into far more intimate territory and basically told her to shut up. She didn't offer up anymore arguments, moving against him into familiar rhythms and dances. Completion came with whispers of love and she rode the waves, holding onto him tightly then nestled down into the familiar mental repose known as reverie.
Well, that was easy enough and she complied, finding various small and furry animals to amuse themselves with. "Who is coming?" Because she knew better than to read the letter if she wasn't supposed to.

"My dear little brother....and your father" Breaking the neck of something or other, she wasn't even looking she was just trying to keep her fingers busy. "Time to reap the weak from the flock...after so long. I can hardly wait. Keep an eye out."
He didn't want to think that was going to be the last time he told her he loved her, but he couldn't help but entertain the thought. Watching her for a while he got himself up and dressed, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "I love you Zahara, don't forget that." Thusly grabbing a pack that he had already packed and pulling on his cloak. But he didn't leave just yet as he went to his youngest's room, watching the baby. Goodbyes and love there too before standing a moment in his girls room...there weren't even home to say goodbye to. But the room got it none the less.
Finally he made his was way to his son's room, sitting on the edge of the bed for a moment and watching the boy. "Don't be like me, okay? Tethered to your past serves you in no positive way." Setting a rune sealed letter on the boy's bedside table. It was a rune they couldn't break...if he died, well his runes went with him and they would be able to read the detailed letter inside. A pet to his son's hair and he got up, heading downstairs, grabbing all his weapons and giving Nym a pet, leaving him behind as he slung his polearm across his back and headed out. Now he knew he was crazy.

She murmured something incoherent, a programmed response more or less to the quiet murmurings of her spouse. He'd already told her he was leaving for work so she thought nothing of it when she sensed him slipping out of bed. And bonds were calm so she snuggled back down into the spot he'd left warm from his body, content that he loved her, would be back soon, and all was well.
If Sevilin had gone through the same routine with Zykariel that he had with his little brother and mother, he likely would have never moved. He'd been drifting in and out of reverie, and he was lingering in that spot where he wasn't quite in but he wasn't quite out either, when his father left his cryptic message. To Kariel, it was far too final and that prompted him to sit up after his father had left his room and listen. The sound of the front door opening moved him into action. He stood there for a moment, blinking dumbly then saw the letter. Spending about five minutes trying to break the seal, he threw on clothes and raced down the stairs and outside. His father was nowhere to be seen.
"Oh goodie. He and I have so much catching up to do." Grinning as she stomped on one of the creatures and then used a dagger to slice through it. Now she could personally gut the man who'd given her life as well. All senses on high alert, she glanced back about fifteen minutes later. "He's coming."

He didn't take a horse because Zahara would know, and he'd enough training and reserves to make the journey on foot at a soldier's pace really, ever forward in fast motion, using translocations to cross waters. He knew where he was going and it was as far away from his family as possible. If he didn't let go, he'd continue to slip. It was time to finish things. Cresting the hill of the valley that made up the place he'd chosen, he stood, taking his polearm in hand. "Marrkellyn..."
Fire lit in her eyes all the brighter at the sound that her apprentice gave of comings, not even really hearing words. Standing once more she brushed silvery white hair over her shoulder and grinned at the figure she looked so forward to seeing stood one the crest of the hill before her. "Sevilin...my dearest little brother...alive all this time and ever the thorn in my side...you're disappointing even for a man...to come calling your death to you and all."
Hm, flaw in plan...she wasn't alone. But that was all well and good, he had his runes just in case. Not that he was banking on them...they were the trump card and merely last use. "And you didn't come alone...I expected more from you. Thought you'd want to finish the job yourself...that is if you walk away from this."
A look to her apprentice and she burst into laughter. "Did you hear that...he plans on killing." Oh that was just funny.

She chuckled, rather amused as well. This whelp was her father? She'd taken down others who were likely far more powerful than him. Raised with the hatred of her patron goddess and holding a special resentment towards the man who'd given her life, she found it highly amusing that he thought he was going to walk away from them. Marrkellyn didn't miss and if she did, well, that's what she was there for. To finish him off. "Men are idiots." Shaking her head. "Do I get to play with him first?"
He was by no means helpless, despite the fact that there was almost no trace of his father anywhere. He'd been taught by his father to track and Sevilin was one of the best trackers around. Plus, he had a horse and could travel far faster that way. "Find him, girl. I don't know what he's up to but he's not going in alone."

"Then come Sevilin! Come walk to your death as I should of done a long time ago. With you dies the shadow over my family name!"
"MY family name. Not yours. Delusional wench to an unjust goddess!" Bold in his words and bravery only because he knew one thing: She couldn't leave this place. If she did that meant he was dead and that she could perhaps do more damage. Thusly walking down that incline though he stopped midstep as a certain feeling overtook him.
She grinned that grin that he feared as a child, the one that she gave when she dragged him from his bed at night and into her own room or one of his sisters' rooms. "Do you think I wouldn't notice the runes? You know some." Probably a petty few, detection and the like on his letter but she liked to cover bases. "No energy to siphon from this spot, no magic...not that I care, I don't need magic to reign you to my boot, I never did." Turning a look to Jazmynna, her young apprentice and one of Sevilin's daughters...best deal she'd ever made. "First blood should be mine...but then again I don't intend a quick death for him. And you've never been formally introduced." Pulling one of her own daggers from her person and shoving it into the girl's hand. "Well Sevilin? Are you going to stand there like the scared dog you are?" Jerking his head in her brother's direction. "Go."
Okay...so the playing field was level now, it was nothing but prowress and magic...unless they had something on them that made that effect null and void on them. He'd have to be careful...he watched them stand there though and gripped his polearm tighter before he took down the hill at a run. He'd show Marrkellyn scared.

She echoed that smile, standing there and awaiting him. Jazmynna had been taught from the cradle how to take down men who were stronger than she was and she shook her head at his blatant stupidity. Charging the enemy was foolish. Stowing the dagger for now, she patiently waited for him to come in the proper distance, then whipped out and cracked her whip so fast a human would have missed it completely. Expertly twining it around his ankle, she jerked hard, using his own momentum to carry him forward. When he was down on the ground, she whipped out the dagger and slashed down, anticipating the polearm to meet her blow. It was going to be an enjoyable fight, ending in lots of bloodshed and she'd be all the happier for it. "Hello...Daddy." The word was venom in her mouth and she spit to the side of his head for effect.

He had a plan in mind, he just hoped it worked. The moment the whip wrapped his ankle, he planted his pole arm in the ground so the weapon wouldn't be dragged with him and taken. Her own dagger was met with his as he pulled it from it's sheath, easily holding off her blow. He had to remember that he was in control here...they could only get the better of them if he let them. Though...his plans went out of his head a moment as he watched the girl as she spit that vile word at him. However...those were his eyes. Red and generic they may be, they never hid anything...and she hated him as much as he did his own father.
"Isn't she lovely? All that Inthara blood running through her veins. Remember Ceesha? Well, she's dead now but she was the girls mother. Best investment I ever made." Oh yes this was so much better now wasn't it? Much.
But the thought passed his mind in seconds and he was rushed back to the present, his free hand grabbing her wrist and twisting as he brought up his knee and easily threw her off of him, regaining his feet some with dagger brandished. It was hard...he didn't know why it was hard but it was...the thought that the girl was his stayed his hand still against her. "So...she sends takes in the child of a whorish deal. How you must love that title." Backstepping a moment from her then strifing around to knock her in the shoulder with his dagger hilt, looking to dislocate her shoulder with sheer force...they were taught to deal with the strength of men, but not at a man's full strenth with his life and family riding on his strokes.
She frowned, resting her hands on her hips and resisting the urge to go in there and snag him by his braid as she used to. "You said you wanted to play with him Jazmynna...do something before I put you in time out and do the job myself and take away any satisfaction I am so graciously allowing you."

She hissed at him, not because of his words because she could care less about her mother. One of her first tasks had been to wipe her out of existence once she got on Marrkellyn's nerves. "I am no child." It wasn't easy to avoid that blow but she managed to though it was too close for comfort. This man wasn't cowed by her mere presence and thus, she was going to have to step it up a notch. Sidestepping another one of his blows, she struck and parried with him for a few moments. He was stronger than she'd anticipated but she was not going to be outdone. Putting magical force behind a blow, she slashed a line across his stomach and sidestepped then somersaulted to appear behind and sought to remove a line of his flesh with her whip. Even catching it in his hand would be disastrous to him.
"You leave him alone!" Yes, the avenging son was on the scene, not really thinking but plunging into battle with his scythe swinging. He wasn't playing with these two. It had taken bonds to lead him the last few steps of the way but Destyny was well trained and had gone right on through. He wasn't pleased to find his father fighting a girl slightly older than him while another simply looked on. Riding past like the calvary, he tore a slash in the girl's back to match the one she tore off his father's. "My mother taught me not to hit ladies but she never said anything about whores!" Insults...it sounded good anyway.
