"Despite what I look, I'm only a quarter demon and three-fourths human. Just... That quarter decided to take over so I look like this all the time. My mom is half, but she's able to switch form." He watched her and seen that her eyes kept falling on his wings. "It's nice that your parents don't want you to be sheltered. Mine don't want me to either, I just choose to so I don't get stared at all day."

He looked back into hers and her words made him blush a bit so he looked away. "Well... Your tail looks nice on you." He felt a bit awkward and knew that was probably a stupid line to use and was somewhat kicking himself in his mind.

she smiled at him and didn't think it was stupid at all. she ran her hand down his arm to let him know everything was ok. "you got a name, angel?"

He shivered from this and looked at her hand. "Garreth. Garreth Smash. Yours, mermaid?" He gave a small smile and looked back at her face.

He looked about and seen that it was dark and wondered what time it was. He looked over to the shoreline and for a digital clock on a building. He seen one and seen that it was about 10. "Damnit... I have to get back to the hotel in about an hour... Parents want me back by 11."

she thought for a bit and then took his hand. she kept looking into his eyes and smiled. "i understand. but will you come back and visit me? i always come here to that rock over there to watch the sun set. i would love it if you came to watch it with me."

He felt her grab his hand and looked down at it. He thought and seemed to stutter when he started to speak. "Tomorrow, we're going to the amusement park... I'll be here if we get back from there in time. Alright?"

He held up his finger in a wait a minute sort of fashion. "No promise. I can't make one for tomorrow. If you don't see me by sunset, I couldn't make it. I'll shoot for the next day, though." He thought this was weird, but felt he should ask anyways. "Is there anyway I can get ahold of you? It would be rude if I made you wait for nothing. At least so I can tell you if I'm running late or if I can't make it at all."

she reached into her hair and pulled off her star pin. it was small and had a small thread attached. "if you have a cell phone tie this to it. once you do you'll be able to talk to me. i have one at home too."

He looked it over and blinked. Oh yea, he was going to totally be called gay. He shook his head a bit and decided that he would put it on his phone for her so he could get ahold of her. "Alright. It was nice meeting you, Serina. I'll be sure to get ahold of you." He gave her a small smile and noticed she was still holding onto his hand. Part of him was enjoying this.

she let go and rest her arms by her side. she just smiled at him. "it was nice meeting you too. i really hope to see you again."

He just returned the smile and nodded. "You will. Don't worry." He then left and got out of the water. He flapped his wings a few times to get them dry and grabbed his stuff so he could get back to the hotel. He kept ahold of the the charm she gave him and looked at it as he was in the elevator.
