"Indeed. If we were in England, I think I would flee the country." He smiled as a large, clearly Greek barge drifted serenely past them. "But, luckily for us both, we have arrived."

Terryn finally looked away from the table they had been staring at for the past four hours. "Oh..." She stood up, her mouth slightly open as she looked at the scene they pulled up to. Terryn waved goodbye to the sailors and stepped off with a smile. "Well look at that. The ship is still afloat." She was never the superstitious type, but she was a little afraid of something happening, though she was afraid of it happening to her.

"We don't want to speak too soon," Marcus answered very seriously, though he cast a quick glance at Terryn to confirm that he was, in fact, joking. "Let's go. Get a good healthy whiff of fish."

Terryn preferred not to, and covered her nose with her hand for a moment just to disobey Marcus. She was not going to be one of those loyal housewives, oh no.

"Open up, dear. It's good for you." Marcus inhaled deeply and made a face. "Really. It is. Lovely."

"That is because you are a man. I prefer roses." If there was a single characteristic that defined Terryn as a woman, it was her preference for floral smells over...others.

"It's all fish here," Marcus informed her, spreading his arms wide. "No roses for an hour's travel in all directions. You'll have to cope, I'm afraid."

Terryn shrugged, dropping her arm to her side. It wasn't too bad if she took very, very shallow breaths. "How long until it subsides, did you say?"

Marcus shrugged. "Maybe fifteen minutes, actually. The salt goes on for quite a bit further, though. But I don't mind that. It smells...alive."

"Salt is not as much of a problem." Terryn eventually smelled the fish rot leaving the air, and was able to breathe like a human. "How does the rest of Greece smell?"

"Good," Marcus confirmed. "Like cooking. They love cooking. And the wine is good, and...everything here is wonderful." He spotted his driver and waved him over. "Everything."
