"I can take it with no ribbing. The food goes down smoother that way and that's good for me this time around." Yup, just now finishing up his meal though which indeed was something for him becuase he rarely ate slow before he took to his glass of milk as well. Good day indeed at this point. "Right...but then I have nowhere to sit in there other than the floor or dragging in a chair if I did take it out and burn it. Which makes it more trouble than it's worth." Shaking his head to that. Stupid couch.

She was three quarters of the way through hers, naturally a slower eater and she had a smaller plate than he did as well. He hated wasted food and she'd realized early on that she very rarely could finish the mammoth sized portions he doled out. Since he insisted on filling the plates when he served, as the head of the household, she'd begun using a smaller plate for herself and later adopting the same method for the girls. "Hmm, I see the problem. Then I suppose we'll just have to find a way to make it more comfortable. I wonder if more stuffing in the cushions would do it..." Watching him and then dabbing her mouth with a napkin. "Is this a recipe I can keep?"

"I don't think that will help...the couch itself is teeming with evil and it will corrupt any method used to try and make it benign." Of that he was convinced and there were no other arguments on it. Just how it was and just how it was always going to be. Setting down his glass he nodded to her with a smile. "Definite keeper...I'm going to have to throw that one in with the 'stuff I actually ask for' category...and since I know you're dying for me to get to it...what did you do for dessert?"

"I think you secretly you like that couch because it holds so many memories." That would be the couch they'd taken their first nap on together and they'd been sitting on it the first time he'd felt Zykariel kick and that evil couch had been where Lyssie was conceived. She was just about positive of that last one though it had been rather impromptu and Sevilin would probably have preferred she not jump him on the couch. "Well, it's easier to show you than tell you." Getting up, she walked over to the fridge and reached in pulling out another wine glass with a dark brown substance inside. Layered throughout was a thin white line and she dropped more of the white on top then sprinkled something red on it as well and set it down before him. "Okay, close your eyes for a moment and open." Dipping the spoon in straight down so all the layers were ready to go and then slipping the metal into his mouth. If she did it right, it would be spicy enough to thrill him with the chocolate and cream counteracting the spice.

"No, no I don't." Sitting back in his chair pleasantly and waiting while she did her thing and he remembered how happy a full stomach could make him. Good times indeed. "Oh no, we're playing the close your eyes game...the possibilities." Sighing lightly but doing as she asked even if it did look stupid when anyone did such things, but they were often rewarded. And that...was a highly interesting taste now wasn't it? Very very much so. Which of course got one of those pleased nosies out of him and he gave her a smile. "You've done it yet again...now give me my spoon and let me indulge. I'm not sharing."

He could claim it all he wanted, she wasn't believing a word of it. It wasn't just efficiency that kept him from destroying that couch because he had another one stored away in a runic pocket. She watched his expression and nodded happily then handed over the spoon and dropped a kiss on the top of his head. "You're very welcome. I already tasted it and it's just too spicy for me." Picking up his plate and hers and carrying them over to the sink to start dishes. "Just try not to bang the spoon against the side of the glass."

"I don't get why you don't like spice but to each their own." Oh yes, he was no sharing that at all...and he usually shared everything with her. Not this time. Nope. Going to enjoy this one all by himself. Hm...excited about food, now that was odd for him wasn't it? New and such. "Because I may break your precious glass...like this?" Purposefully clanking the spoon..yup, now he was in teh mood to jsut mess with her.

"I like some but the feeling of my mouth on fire is not endearing." Shaking her head and finishing the scrubbing of her pans. "Yes. You're the one who doesn't like messes." The sound of metal against glass had her drying off her hands, tiptoeing over to him and swooping down to grab the glass. Like any who had just crossed a potentially hazardous line, she immediately began backing up, holding the glass aloft and tilting her head in challenge.

He blinked for a moment as the glass...which still has stuff in it...was swiped and away and she was looking to him in that come and get it if you really want it manner. Oh no she didn't. Licking off what was left on his spoon he got himself up casually and laced his arms behind his back...taking to calmly stalking towards her through the kitchen. "Come now, you don't have to be mean about it. There are worse things I could do...more things I could break, napkin rings I could hide in new places you'd never think of." Giving her a smirk of sorts as he continued to close in on her. Waiting for just the right moment before he sprang at her to get both her and the glass.

Her grin widened as he began stalking her just as she knew he would but she refused to back down. "Maybe you should learn to listen?" After engaging in this sort of byplay before, she knew better than to back up against the counters, leaving herself plenty of space to duck under his lunge and move into the hallway. "And I could accidentally lose recipes or forget to buy your cheesy snacks or just eat all of this myself right in front of you."

A hop step back at her eavsion, and he turned on his heel heading after her once more. "You don't like spice and you abhor my cheesy things. You couldn't bring yourself to do it and if you did you'd be so regretful later that I would be the winner anyway." Continuing after her in casual predatory fashion. "And if you refused me certain things you'd just make me upset and then you'd feel bad anyway. I have all the good cards this time."

He had a point, didn't he? But she wasn't about to give up that easily by the gods. They were in the hall now, having gone through the back of the kitchen and into the dining room then back through the living room and she was about to hit the stairs. If he wasn't so against messes, she'd just throw it at him but he'd have a heart attack on the spot and she couldn't let him do that. Finding the stair with her foot, she stepped up and continued moving back. "But you still have yet to catch me." Sealing the glass and then slipping the dessert into a runic pocket. "And now it won't matter even when you do." Giving him a grin because they both knew how wrong she was. Only good thing about runic pockets was the one who created it was the only one who knew the runic code to access it.

Tricky woman....or so she liked to think. Still stalking after her even as they came to stairs, he reached out and grabbed the front hem of her dress, letting her know that if he really wanted to he could yank her down right this moment adn it would all be over. "Oh so you wouldn't tell me no matter what I did? Even if I begged?"

Beginning of the end... She faltered slightly, grasping the railing on either side as he tugged gently and she was pulled forward. She knew he wouldn't let her get hurt but it certainly got her attention. Scoffing, she shook her head. "As if you would actually beg, Sevilin Inthara, but no, I wouldn't. Time to think of a Plan B?"

"I dunno, I know how to beg really good if I'm convinced enough. But then again you never were one for begging...and well there is a plan B but it will have you squealing and I don't know if I like that or not." Pretending to ponder it a moment before a wicked little lopsided grin and he gave her a tug, stepping forward at the same time and thusly pulling her to him...and levering her over his shoulder and keeping her there over hsi shoulder. "Oh what the hell, welcome to B."
