She wrinkled her nose at him but was rather pleased he was teasing her about such a thing. It was at the very least a peek into the past and a glimmer of hope of what could be. And he was right, she did pick up the children far too much. "I know. And I know I just get worse after something almost happens to one of them. I can't smother them and I've got to let them learn on their own. I really am trying in that respect. But don't be afraid to take one of them from me if there's no plausible reason that I'm carting them around. And please don't be afraid to interrupt me with one of them even if it's just to let me know that you would like to see me when I finish whatever task I'm currently involved in." Push him, she could do that as well. "I just don't want to feel guilty. You don't have to worry about the knife thing. I learned my lesson a long time ago. I'll just smack you with a spoon and make you eat." See, she could joke too. "Are you having remembrance reveries again?" Special term for the more negative ones they both experienced.

"I don't think Kel is going to let you carry him around too much anymore...he enjoys his walking." Nodding as she laid down further terms. The kids could still come first, he just had to throw out the word that it was his turn next and not whenever she was done, but within a reasonable time. "Don't feel guilty. You know how much I can take before I start passing out the looks of disappointment and the like." Giving a light sigh and a slight nod. "Mostly. I think our encounter with those things shook things up in the bad way...that and the evil couch is never nice to me."

"He's becoming quite independent, isn't he? A lot sooner than any of the other ones did..." Shaking her head and then crossing her arms. "I was so mad at you for not coming up to bed last night. I very nearly went downstairs and just overturned a glass of water on your person." And she wasn't kidding either. "Eventually, I cried myself to sleep because I knew I'd once again pushed you away which I suppose led us to where we are now so can be a blessing in disguise?" Reaching up to brush his bangs out of the way and study his eyes to make sure all runic remains were absent. "It's understandable. You saw yourself in a different light and anytime the soul is forcibly removed there are bound to be problems. Why didn't you just tell me?"

"He was held a lot more than the others I think. That and he's restless...he'd rather be moving around and pulling his own weight than someone else carrying him around and such." Shrugging lightly before having that almost boyish guilty but not really sorry for it look. "Coincidently, I was 'learning to swim' last night. Wouldn't of been a good situation so I thank you for the restraint." Letting her inspect as she often liked to do, "Kelligrin and Faatallon were more important at the time and I thought it would just tamper off like it usually does. If it makes you feel better, Nym's not any happier with me. He's bit be four times this week."

"Then I'm glad I didn't but I was so tempted." Tugging on his braid gently and then shaking her head. "You're no fun when you're like that." Reaching into his tunic and tugging out the sleepy ferret, nuzzling him. "Hiya Nym baby. I haven't seen you for a little while." Petting him then nodding. "They'll all be fine, Sev. You know that, right? Just fine." Reaching out and taking his hand. "And so will we. It might take some work and we might not get it right away but that's the same as the rest of our lives, right?"

He watched her rather amused as she reached into his tunic and drew out the ferret who only yawned, gave a chitter and curled up in her arms to get some more sleep. He was probably tired too, seeing as kids liked to tug at him all day and him and Sevilin hadn't been on good terms lately. "He's been hiding a lot more since Kel started walking more I think. He likes to cart him around." Nodding lightly seeing as he knew exactly what she was talking about. "I know they will be...I just worry. You've never met Marrkellyn." Shaking his head and twining his fingers with hers. "Lots of flailing and eventual stability, right?"

"Aww, little elves and their need to assert their independence while snatching it from some other poor creature." Pressing her lips to the top of Nym's head, she settled him in a rather large pocket inside her cloak so he could sleep again and then frowned. "I hope I never have to. She sounds just like Alysinn." Grinning up at him, she stepped close and settled his back further against the rock outcropping. "I remember sometimes where flailing wasn't such a bad thing. We've created some pretty amazing moves in our time." Sliding in 90% and holding for him to come the other 10.

"I hope one day she gets stranded on top of a mountian with no shelter, in the blazing sun." Nodding lightly before turning his attention fully back to his wife after wishing doom and such to other people and she moved closer to him. "Creative accidents are usually the best. I'm not sure how that works or why it works that way, but it does.Giving her that lop sided grin of his he laced his fingers into her hair again and pulled her in for a kiss. "We eventually get something or other accomplished."

"Because they give you some great stories." Lacing her arms around his neck and returning that kiss. "Sometimes it takes a few tries," she agreed then entwined her fingers with his and tugged him forward. "Why don't you come shopping with me? You haven't in such a long time and I promise not to bore you with lots of spice talk and whatnot."

"You only want me to come with you when you want me to carry things. Which means you're buying a lot of things. Or buying heavy things like furniture. Or you're buying a lot of heavy things." Giving her a skeptical look and a tilt of his head. "So what is it?" Half joking and half true really. "I suppose I'll go either way...maybe indulge in my fondness of 'ridiculous snacky cheese things' as you call them. Do we need to stop and get Kelligrin?" Because who knew how long Zykariel would tolerate having to babysit.

"Option three, Raven. I haven't spent hardly any time with you and I don't want to leave your side for a little while." Kissing him again and then wrapping her arm around his waist and strolling back. "We probably should. He'll be getting up soon and you know he can be when he isn't taken care of right away."
Kelligrin was indeed highly unhappy, attempting to get his older brother up. He'd managed to climb out of his crib and was sitting on his older brother's chest, throwing a pillow at him.

"Fair enough...maybe I'll let you splurge and buy you something pretty." Resting his arm around her shoulders and they headed back, perhaps both feeling better than they had been before. Which was nice because tension was never a fun thing. Getting back home...they were indeed met with the sight of one child trying to get the attention of the other. A look to Zykariel as he was still lazing. "He figured out how to get out of the crib. And I guess this means Zykariel won't be going to his morning classes anymore." Walking to Kelligrin and scooping him up. "Going to have to keep an eye on you...."

"You always do." Heading upstairs with him, she had to giggle at the sight although it was followed by a shake of her head at her oldest lazing the day away. "Times like these I'm not so sure those types of deals are good to make with a teenager." Ruffling her son's hair and tucking her oldest son more comfortably into his bed. If Sevilin wasn't going to make him go then it wouldn't be fair to disturb him either.
He was just so pleased to see his father that he didn't cry or anything. Happy grin and smacking kiss to his cheek instead. "I go too?"

"If things go like I'm hoping, he'll learn something from all of this. Right now he's probably in the midst of guilty decision turmoil." Waiting on his wife before nodding to his younger son and heading back to his room to get the kid dressed. "Yes you get to go to...going to have to find a way to keep you in your crib too. Or it's just time to put you in a bed sooner than the others got to theirs."

"Under no circumstances are we putting that baby in a regular bed." Taking him from his father and nuzzling his cheek. "He has a tendency to roll in reverie, remember? He'll fall out of bed and crack his little head on the floor. We'll just rune his crib shut until it's time to put him in a big boy bed." Bouncing the child to keep him giggling and getting his cloak then setting him on the table they used to dress and change him and putting his boots on. "And I certainly hope you're right about Zykariel. Because it seems to me that he's just relaxing without a care in the world and caring about nobody but himself." Settling Kelligrin on her hip until he squirmed and started to cry. "You're right about another thing. Okay, Kelligrin but only until we get to the market. There's too many people around to just be holding your hand." Setting him on his own feet and taking his hand, then slowly walking downstairs, stair by stair since the toddler was still learning to toddle. It was rather cute, really.
