Without knowing details, I would have to say that something different happened to him then what happened to you. It might possibly be the effect of a curse or somesuch.... I really can't say for certain, though.

Tavin *Tavin rubs his chin in thought* That's a good question... Without knowing details, I would have to say that something different happened to him then what happened to you. It might possibly be the effect of a curse or somesuch.... I really can't say for certain, though.
In what little memory she had, he hadn't always been like this. Although... at one point he did say that this, the way he is now, was his 'original' form of being.

She is determined to eat normal food. She grits her teeth, and manages to consume the WHOLE apple... When she finishes, she is quite proud of herself:::

Tavin *Tavin shakes his head* You could start by telling me the story of what happened to you two... But I won't know what I would need to know until I hear it....
"I didn't meet him until Wykron, where both of us had been sold as slaves. I guess that's probably where the story gets important, so we'll start there...
"When I met him, he was pretty 'normal.' At least, he looked human and acted like it, except he could create something he called Hell-Blazes and he had immense strength. With his help, and also some other people I can't remember, we freed the city...
"But that's how I died... and I guess Audyhnnh was so upset he let his anguish consume him and he said he 'reverted' to his 'original' form -a Child of Dolorous. They carry a curse that's passed down because of a sin of two brothers wrongfully murdering each other. His body will corrode and bleed at open wounds ceaselessly until ...
"Well... he says until some king named Arthur and all of his knights are revived from their tomb..."
She stopped there, wondering if her story made any sense at all. It didn't mean a lot to her, it was just a story, and she'd only heard it once, because Audyhnnh never spoke of himself much.
Seeing as how she had only wanted to help Audyhnnh at this point, she left her own story out. ...Not that, she'd remember much of it anyway.

"Talking about me again?" he said in a low voice. He had just phased into the Brink, wondering why Selurnis hadn't phased out with him when he left.
"How the hell does the place work, anyway?" he mused to himself.
He walked over to Sel and looked down at her, "He won't help," he said of Tavin flatly.

A curse...... It certainly does seem that certain curses seem to carry over into The Brink.... It sounds to me that the key to returning your friend to normal is to break the curse.... However, I'm afraid I don't know of the curse... Or how to break it...

And just perhaps I won't. Perhaps your curse is is none of my concern. Just perhaps I won't... Or can't.

He chuckled in a deep voice.
"Feh." He smirked. He didn't care if the curse was broken or not.... quite frankly, he'd only told Selurnis the -long- way to break the curse. He hadn't told her how else it worked... He needed a certain something, from a certain somebody, and the curse could be lifted 'easily.'
He staggered back, promptly sitting himself in a chair. He looked down and sighed, blood was staining through his bandages.
