Congratulations on your conquest!
That does sound helpful! I never really use Repel, but if I ever got the urge, that would be very useful.
I'm sure I'll find out about a bunch of things before I get a chance to hit them in the plot. I just want to see how well I can do without knowing what's going on. (Though I may sneak some other peeks, anyway. xD)

I'm a regular over at Serebii forums, so I see those spoiler buttons all the time. But I don't mind reading them anyhow due to my B/W fanfic; I was planning on integrating information in the sequels into it, even though I'm set in the original games. The Repel thing could be useful; trying to explore low level areas for Surf locations can get annoying without it.
But I didn't expect Alder to be old enough to have a grandchild! I admit, I never challenged him directly, but he just doesn't seem that old.
I feel a little better today. I spent some of yesterday figuring out Voltorb Flip out of boredom. It's surprisingly addictive.

Yeah, I can't quite fit that in yet. =/ He's certainly older than the other Champions have been, but the kid isn't really young, either. *had to sneak a look* (And he almost looks too much like Alder. xD) And Champion-related things in the game are a bit frustrating, too.
We'll see what I think when I can take a look at some things on Monday. =)
. . . I actually love Voltorb Flip. SO much easier than the Game Corner used to be. xD I never had any luck with that at all.

I agree! Voltorb Flip (once you get the hang of it) is much easier to predict than the old Game Corner. Plus it's very addictive!

ninja What's it like? Well, I have determined (in trying to help Zee translate a bit) that Alder's grammar makes no sense to me. xD Why oh why did I give my old textbooks to my old roommate? (Because she's marrying a guy from Japan, but! xD)
Edit Oh, actually, it's just the fact that they don't use any kanji that's confusing me. >< Can't tell what words are supposed to mean and which are verb form endings and whatnot. Sorted, I think. xD

The ROMs a bit buggy and keeps freezing. Which means I have to keep constantly saving. (Will probably try and find a better one in a few days time or something. Or wait a few weeks and see if an English patch shows up (even if it's just a little English thrown in or something idk?)) But so far it's nice :] I'm rather enjoying it though I've not got very far (too frustrated about the freezing).

I should probably write something before our possible defeat on Sunday or I'll spiral into a deep depression.

My mum's work colleague has put a bet on that we're going to win on penalties. I almost passed out, I was laughing so hard.

I'm totally out of the loop. xD Are you guys talking about football? (Yours, not ours. Though I'll admit I don't much care for sports in general.)

Oh I know. Stranger things have happened. But we are notoriously poor when it comes to penalties xD
