Akira gladly sat back down and finished off her muffin, as Evermore spoke, recuperating any lost energy.

She smiled and replied, "Your welcome! I'm glad to see your smiling like you mean it! I haven't seen that smile in a while!"

"Oh, don't worry, i didn't use up much energy to heal your wounds. They we're already taken care of and healing, so that made it all the easier. Hence why the strikes quickly faded!" Akira reassured her, her smile growing.

"Ya, i'm pretty sure she mentioned that too us, i honestly don't know why i didn't think of that sooner..."

Her eye's widened and she said excitedly "You WILL!? Awesome!!! Thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU!" It was her turn too throw her arms around her best friend, her tail wagging rapidly.

"Let's do that! And Tsk, tsk Evermore, that's what i told you Before! Well not in those exact words, but you get what i mean! You ARE my partner, like it or not silly! "I'm" not using you for anything, you know that! I just want you there with me! This is a one in a time chance, obviously!"

She pulled back a little and said warmly, "But, it's ok, i understand why you did that. You felt used and didn't want to just obey the God's anymore or be a tool to them, so i forgive you, duh!"

With that said and done, Akira let go, took the Fury's hand, and walked off, heading off to their rooms.

(hey sorry for the late post, been having a few comp troubles and wasnt able to post earlier xp )

Kindra walked into the cafe just as Evermore and Akira where walking out. She gave a small smile as she passed them, though that smile soon turned into a slightly irritated look as Kindra walked in and grabbed her familiar look alike and dragged her out of the cafe. Since it was getting close to curfew she walked back towards her room all the while dragging Kiki behind her.

"Oh my god you should of seen those chef's faces." She laughed. "So priceless....though I'm surprised the two girls in their didn't flinch one bit." Kiki broke free of Kindra and soon noticed that the two where walking not too far ahead of them. She quickly ran towards them before Kindra could further object. "So how did you two know I was faking the whole thing?" Kiki questioned them after catching up. She was of course still in the form of Kindra.

(lol I'm having a lot more fun than I expected rping as Kindra's familiar xd )

Ever smiled at Akira and walked hand-in-hand with her best friend back toward the staircase that led to the 3rd floor. She felt so much better now.

She smiled at Kindra as she passed them, but when she came back out, she looked back and saw that Kindra had someone with her that looked exactly like her! That's right! The girl who had been 'choking' had looked a lot like Kindra had, but her aura wasn't the same, so Ever didn't make the connection. This must be one of Kindra's powers, to duplicate herself! That was awesome.

Ever scowled slightly at the doppleganger. "I can read auras, when I'm calmer and more focused, and yours was as calm as it is now. If you had really been choking, I know that your aura would have been in a panicked state. Plus, something weird happened with Ross earlier, and I knew something was going on. Don't play pranks again, missy. This is a place of refinement and..."

Who was she to talk? She had a guy sleeping in her room and had just made out with another one by the edge of the lake.

Scowling just slightly less, Ever sighed and spoke. "Just don't hurt anyone in the process or involve staff like that again, please. No more faking like you're in trouble."

With that said, she nodded once more with a smile on her face at the real Kindra and then walked up to the 3rd floor with Akira. She gave her friend a giant hug before parting with her and walking the rest of the way to her own room.

She knew Ares was still in there, so with a sigh, she slowly opened her door.

Ares was laid out on Evermore's bed, throwing an apple up and catching it repeatedly for seemingly no reason. He wasn't even watching as he did so, seeming to stare up at and through the ceiling. He was, honestly, rather troubled about the whole ordeal, even if he took his developing romantic feelings for Evermore out of the equation.

He didn't really notice as the door opened, so caught up was he in his thoughts.

Ever shut her door and finally looked over to Ares. She saw him out of the corner of her eye when she came in and knew he was in her bed. But what she didn't expect was to see him tossing an apple up and down. What was with the apple? Why not a regular ball?

But what was even weirder was the look on Ares' face. Granted, she hadn't known him long, but she had never seen such a look of concentration on his face before. It was quite odd.

"Ares?"

She spoke softly and carefully, not wanting to break him completely out of his reverie if he was thinking about something important.

Ares blinked and lifted his head to look at Evermore when she spoke. He was surprised that he hadn't been aware enough to notice her before she'd spoken, but at the same time... He supposed it made sense. "...Hey," he said, giving a sort of half-smirk. It looked rather fond.

"What's up?" he asked, pushing himself into a sitting position, leaning against her headboard. He then resumed tossing the apple, eyes following the red fruit as it went up and down rather distractedly.

Ever arched an eyebrow at Ares in confusion. He was acting really weird. He was acting somewhat nervous, not saying much... This wasn't good. Well, he deserved it!

Ever sighed in frustration and sat down on the chair at her desk. She opened up one of her books for her advanced spell casting classes. Before she began to read on how to retain focus for longer periods of time to cast more advanced spells, she responded to Ares, looking at a random point on the wall.

"Well, I told Akira what has been going on, all of it. I will be going to the Room tomorrow afternoon."
PostPosted: Mon Apr 12, 2010 4:33 pm

Once they got near their dorm rooms, Akira hugged Evermore back and smiled softly at Kindra's familiar.

"I know because your an animal, just like me...Sorta, scratch the metal and add in half Demonic Dog and half mortal. well night Ever!"

Having answered the metal wolf with a giggle and having smiled back at Kindra, the sleepy girl went to her room, opened the door and walked in, closing said door behind her, and flopped down onto her bed, sighing.

Man, what a day...

Akira was however, very greatful, relieved, and happy to have been told exactly what was going on. Now, there would be no more chaotic confusion that would cause so many pointless arguments!! Plus, she felt like she could really aide Evermore now and not be a burden!

Akira's mind felt so much clearer and better now after having told the Fury everything that was troubling her as well.

At this rate, tomorrow was going to be awesome!

He didn't speak for a long moment. "...Be careful," he said, suddenly. "This war--Evermore, it's not just something here. It's not just one thing." His eyes left the apple, and he stared at Evermore, eyes strong and searing. The apple fell onto the bed, beginning to roll. He didn't bother trying to catch it. "This war is going to be intense." It was obvious that there was something other than concern and whatever else hung around in his eyes.

"This war, Evermore, will encompass many more things. You need to be careful." The apple rolled off the bed, dropping with a soft thud! onto the ground. Ares swiftly peeled himself away and moved to stand up, though his eyes never left Evermore's. His voice seemed to crescendo as he spoke. "Many things will happen. People will die. The war is already beginning."

His eyes were intense, full of something, full of electricity, full of power. "Evermore..." he said, voice softer now. "You are here, whether you like it or not, to be part of the war." He moved towards her, past the innocent red apple that lay, abandoned, on the carpet, clashing against the soft yellow coloring.

As he moved closer, his eyes seemed to only intensify. "You will not be able to escape," he whispered, "and there is nothing I can do about that." He reached out a hand to brush her cheek. "Will you help me, Evermore?"

The look in his eyes...

...was power, anticipation, eagerness, and, mostly... excitement.
PostPosted: Mon Apr 12, 2010 4:51 pm

Ever's gaze was held in place by Ares' intense one. She felt like she could not look away, his gaze was that intense. Was he like this whenever he spoke of war? Or was there something else that was bringing this out in him? Or, someone....?

Ever didn't like where her train of thought was going. She couldn't even start to imagine herself as the one person that could change Ares, the God of War. There was far too much implication there and far too much responsibility that she was in no way ready for yet. But she did care for him. If they were being honest right now, she would admit that to herself. She cared for him a lot. He obviously was not trying to manipulate her. She realized this while talking with Akira earlier. Ares would have split the instant he learned she didn't want to find the Relic. He wouldn't have tried to manipulate her into finding it. She had proven to him that anyone could find the Room and, in all likelihood, the Relic as well. He would know that he wouldn't need her. He could have gone to Aurora if all he wanted was to find the Relic.

Yes, this was another thing that Akira had helped her to realize while they were talking that evening, whether she meant to or not. Speaking to Akira about what all had happened today also had her telling her of the different things Ares had done. Saying them outloud had made her realize that Ares' actions proved that he was not trying to manipulate her or use her to find the Relic.

Ever sighed, finally breaking her gaze away from Ares and his hand on her cheek, and went over to her bed. She bent down and picked up the apple Ares had been tossing. Now she needed something to do with her hands. She began to play with the apple as well, though not like Ares had. She was moving it slowly back and forth between her hands, trying to form the words that she wanted to say.

"Ares... why? I mean, I was just going to go to the Room tomorrow to help Akira look for her biological parents. Apparently the Room has more information in it than even our library here at Bai Ching does, and it's not all about the Relic, not by a long shot. I wasn't even going to look for information about the Relic."

She finally looked up at him with vulnerability and confusion in her eyes. She was being pulled into something that she wasn't old enough to fully understand yet.

"Why do you want my help, Ares? Why do you want me on your side?"

Ares watched her move, keeping still himself, though he did rotate to continue facing her. He shook his head almost imperceptibly. She was in over her head, but it was not her own doing. She, if left on her own, would drown in this... this mess that had begun so many years ago, when the Relics were first created.

This mess that was long overdue could kill her, and it made him hate that he was so eager for it to happen, though he could not help that fact. It was simply part of his nature.

"Evermore..." He paused and almost took a step forward, but hesitated, and stayed back. "You need to know what you are in for. If nothing else, the Room can give you that. You cannot simply go into this without knowing what is out there, what is waiting to kill, to destroy anything--anyone--that gets in its way."

His face contorted briefly, and he stared at the apple in her hands before looking away, sighing, and looking back at her. "I need your help because I cannot do this. I need you on my side because I cannot let you die. I need you with me because I cannot stand it if you were not."

His jaw clenched, and a silent statement hung in the air, clear but unsaid.

I need you, and it scares the s**t out of me.

Aphrodite had heard enough for the day. It was time to let Ares do his thing... and for she to do hers. With a soft click! of her fingers, Aphrodite reappeared in her room, aura at full power and fully visible. Adonis mumbled something in his sleep, and Aphrodite gave a soft smile. He was so cute when he talked in his sleep...

Preparing herself for what she was about to do, she entered her bathroom and closed the door. From under her bathroom sink, she pulled a mirror and a silver knife that gave off a pinkish glow in the dying light, and placed them on the counter. Aphrodite began to chant in ancient Greek, the words dropping in the air like heavy stones. The mirror began to glow, and then became opaque, a pink mist floating over the glassy surface.

With that, Aphrodite raised the dagger above her heart, and carved a thin 'x' upon her skin. Her golden blood spilled onto the mirror, but the skin quickly healed, stemming the flow. The mirror flashed a deep pink for a moment, and then slowly faded into an ordinary mirror. She quickly hid both beneath the sink, and pulled back her robe to examine the nearly-invisible scar. She and Evermore were tied together now, and Aphrodite would always know when she was in need.

**(... and let her life be tied unto mine. Her pain as mine, her need as mine, her blood as mine. Let it burn with the passion of Love as mine burns within my immortal body. Tie our life-threads together in an inseparable knot, and should the hour come upon her, shall mine be forfeit in her place. With mine ichor, I so solemnly promise upon The River.)

{{Wow! Secret, Rrine, both of your posts were absolutely amazing!! Great job! biggrin }}

Ever's breathing had picked up slightly and she felt her heart beating faster. This feeling she was experiencing was quite new to her and she didn't understand it. It felt as if she were being pulled forward, being pulled into something that was bigger than her and out of her control. She liked to be in control and this was terrifying for her.

She didn't think this feeling could be associated to the war, though. At least, not entirely. Ares' words that he spoke to her at the end had caused the feeling inside of her to intensify. Yes, she was deathly afraid of what was coming, but something in Ares' eyes actually terrified her more. She had a pretty good idea what that look meant, and she didn't know if she could handle it, if she was mature or smart enough to know how to handle it.

She would be the safest with Ares. Sure, she was a god and couldn't die, but she could be hurt, and obviously it had been proven that she could be used. And she didn't want to leave him on his own. She wanted to stay beside him after all that he had proven to her. He really did care about her, deeply.

Ever sighed and nodded her head. "I'll... I'll be on your side, Ares. I'll research the Relic for you... for us. I'll help you all I can."

It was then that Ever felt a weird, lighter sensation inside of her. It was an odd fluttering around the area of her heart. And she could have sworn that for the briefest of minutes, all she could see in was pink, all she saw was pink. But that was ridiculous. What would cause her to see pink?

She just brushed it off as a fluke and continued to look at Ares, waiting for his reaction.

Ares almost seemed to deflate with relief, and he quickly covered the distance between them, almost collapsing onto her in a strong, fierce embrace. He held her closely, and pressed his lips to hers wholly. His whole self was borne open for her, and he seemed to envelope her. He pulled back, staring into her eyes briefly, almost fleetingly, before pressing against her once more.

She... would help him. That was as good as anything right now.

He could protect her. He would protect her, in any way, from anything. He was, in essence, giving himself to her in a way that he had never given himself to anyone. It scared him, but he didn't care. She had... she had accepted him, and that was all that mattered to him.

Rrine
Ari sighed as his lips met hers. Anything she was going to say was lost in the general haze that filtered through her mind. This was quite lovely...

Her hand hesitantly trailed up his arm, and then came to rest around his neck. Her other hand followed suit, except it came to rest intertwined gently with his hair. Her lips smiled against his.
His muscles trembled as he began to press more firmly against her. His bare chest pressed against her clothed one and he bit at her lip. The over whelming desire that flooded through him was over powering him. Icy blue eyes began to glow slightly, and his muscles bulged slightly. Breathing became ragged as he tried not to go too far. A bead of sweat trickled down his brow.
