Eliot wanted raw meat but she could do with whatevere was at hand. She would give most to her father anyways.

"My mother was pretty to, a very noble animal. She was our protector, I guess the easiest way to put it is she was our leader...but that word is not really correct eaither. We have no word for it only a smell."

Eliot and her father graciously accepted the food they where offered.

"either way my home has no name, i couldn't relly tell you where we are from."

"Necromancy mayb eb part of you training, , Malik. And human blood isn't enar as frail as you like to think. How do yu think they have survived for so long? They adapt, they grow, and they learn. You have ceased learning." He sure was one to tlak, wasn't Piper a..what did they call it now...a bridge? A technical half-breed of two elves? Of coure, he wou;dn't see that. Elves are elves, but he had yet to see that they were both people. SHe stood, getting quite cold in the alcony wind, and started to think about going back to get that claok.

"Not really. They can live as long as an elf, and they hold up just as well, the elvish character taking dominace over the weaker human genes. A powerful halfelf once lead an army to the ruin of my brother's command. He was five thousand years old when he slew my kin." Oh that was mistake, talking about Uthegentel like that, Malik might figure out... "It more of a matter of personal skill. Your racism will get you killed." Mine will get eveyone else killed.

"A Paladin? So, you forsake hours of fighting for prayer and religious study, atonement and deliverance for actual skill? It could be worse, you could be a preistess of the spider queen. They are nothing without their magicks." Tarathiel shock his head, "In a test of skill, a pure fighter will always dominate all the other warriors." It was true, if it ws a contest of fighting skills. Magic added so many layers to the battle field though, and made things more interesting.

"That is ok, I understand that your culture is not human." Dagger said calmly, "Mine once was too, but we were too foolish in the past to consider the humans a threat. We took them in and offered our help, and in the end, we became out numbered. They consumed us. Many of the nobles have some elvish blood, especially if they are pretty." Dagger watched the two eat, "So, your culture did not have a command structure. A pity, we could have used a expert spokesman for the slaves, that would have enabled better intergration into our society... I am afraid, that we do want you to stay in our borders, and to conform to our ways, but more out of equality than subjegation."

"Special, Malik only sees with his eyes. Don't argue with him." Tarathiel said calmly.

"Piper...you ran once, you'll not get away again."Kaden merely shot him a look that said clearly he wasn't. He calmly drew his bow and grabbed an arrow. Pulling out a rope, he tied one end to the tail end of the arrow, the other around his waist, notched it to his bow and let it fly. He didn't even aim as he knew it would hit his target and it did. The arrow flew through the air and pierced her in her calf, enough to keep her from running any further and bring her down. He looked at Terran and said, "Do you really think I'd give up that easy? You have much to learn about me Gale. Much to learn." Only when his target was struck did he untie the knot from his waist and start to pull. He was reeling her in alright. He pulled her until she was right in front of him and said, "I have had enough of your fleeing from me Piper. Never again! Do you understand me?! You and I have a little...chat to take care of. In private."then he used the dagger he had taken from her earlier to knock her in the head three times. Only when she fell to the ground motionless did he lift her body over his shoulder and motion to Terran. Looking around he made sure no one had seen, mounted his horse and rode off for camp.

"Aye, Captain." She fell silent to stand and wait. Screw the claok. SHe'd let heresfl get cold. She wasn't a frail, weak, idito half-elf after all.

Eliot shook her head.

"We did not not have a command order as you would understand it. We were all very loyal to my mother. but if one chose to leave the pack they were free to. She gave us guidence, and love. She was wise and very srtong. Its hard to describe if you cannot smell it. Emotions ran free and we all di what needed to be done. We had specific jobs that we were best at, but could do anything if need be. Rarely we had cause for war, and when there was my mother rallied those who could fight, and they chose to fight under her command. But afterwards things would go back to the way we always lived."

Eliot scrunched up her nose. 'i'm sorry that is not a very accurate description..."

Her head came up.

"Stay within your borders? Hah! Just another cage, another form of subjigation. I understand your tryign to keep us here, but we are free, and when we choose to do so we will return to our land."

"Apparently..." Terran...was a little offset. That was a rather brutish display from Kaden, wasn't it? Yes, Terran was a little disturbed to say the least, and he stayed a moment where he was as Kaden slunk off with Piper over his shoulder. Good lord...he knocked the living daylights out of her practically. "I swear...he better make this worth it..."He turned a look to Serino as he went to his own horse, mounting up after unbinding her wings. "Good luck freeing yourself, Zephyr." A smirk to the Zephyr, heading off to follow after Kaden.

Serino kicked and pawed at the ground, throwing all the more fuss as they made off with Piper. He tugged harshly against his tied reins, trying best he could to squirm out of those reins. All he had to do was get out and get that dropped bow and arrow and then go get Malik or Kieran...or both for that matter. By the gods he'd get out of those damn reins...

"A cage could be considered anything from te coil that binds your body to the impediment of the water to walking. A cage is invented by the mind, unless it really does form bars around you." Dagger added. "if you wish to go, I can't stop you, or more percisely will not stop you. But, since your tribe is decimated, how will you survive with only the two of you? Perhaps you would like me to gather the remnents of the slaves who came from your... nation?"

"Yar, special, Yar." Tarathiel replied, rather distractedly.

"You underestimate the skills of a shadowknight, or a paladin, when they are fully aware of what they can do. I've brought proud warriors to thier knees, and I've seen Paladins do the same. Though I will say most of either breed you find only understand or really respect maybe a third of thier potential."

A small smile, before directing his attention to Jiscal.

"Now then. we'll need to get those items for you. from my home, they are considered rather...low tier items. but they are also of dwarven make, which should increase thier value to them, and since they don't know where they came from, they might find them more exotically fascinating than they really are."

"The weakest dogs bark the loadest," was her respons to Malik's boasting, also mumbled under her breath. Tarathiel had told her not to argue...but she could't help it. She wasn't one to give in. She didn't much care what he had done or though he would do. He underestimated as much as he accused them of underestimating.

"Your confidence is not comforting. That one would have me believe such a thing only to have an army of rodents awaiting me at the end of the tunnel." Jiscal responded, "But it is better than doing nothing. That complex they built would make an interesting market, if the architecture is sizable enough to fit a human or more importantly, an elf." He added, showing that he wasn't as racist as his predocessers.

Tarathiel laughed. "Third terre classes are still only third terre." The meaning of that was lost on most people, but to Tarathiel's society, such specialists were common, and usually meet a brutle end before they reached any significant power. What Malik was failing to realize, that the benefits gained by paladins and shadow knights were not significant advantages in a fight with this perticular drow. Any of Tarathiel's crew would dread facing off with these shadowy knights, or shiny armours, but not Tarathiel. "Hey, how old are you?"

Moonstone sat in his room, somewhat bored, somewhat confused. He still could not understand his attack on his brother. It wasn't like him, it was strange and odd...and yet frighteningly intriging. From what Moonstone could remeber, and once ina while he found he remeber a little more and a little more of what had gone on, he had been...ruthless. Never one to anger, Moon had never experianced such hate and anger. It was thrilling.

He knew it was not proper, something had not been right about it. Even now he could not stir those emoitions, he couldn't bring up the hate or the anger, couldn't even think of anything that would make him feel such.

He laid down, stretched out on the bed and starred at the cieling.

"I'm five hundred. I don't claim that a well trained, equipped and unafraid warrior couldn't best me. or that you couldn't best me, Tarathiel. I only state a woman, who has obviously spent most of her life as a pleasure slave, would more than likely, even with her magical staff, or any other weapon she has skill with would fall facing a battle hardened shadowknight."

A small smirk.

"Alright then. Tarathiel..you get me a visit with the Oracle once she wakes, and I'll provide your..ally..replacement..whatever he is to you with some means to quell the dwarves."

Onyx landed in a crouch on the balcony, breathing heavily and his wings hurt. but he got up, looking over whirlwind.

"Are you alright? he hasn't hurt you? are you still enslaved? have you seen Ironsides? Why haven't you contacted me if you were alive?"

Tarathiel's eyes widened at Malik's response. "I hold over two centeries of causing chaos over your five of hate. If I sack a city with a warrior as great as you every five years, that is forty warriors of your calibre I have slain, before you were even born. I hardly think you can compair to my experience as a warrior." He paused for a brief moment, "Then again, if you are younger than me, and can defeat me, and she is younger than you... Does that not bode for your defeat at her hands, should you be able to combat me and victor?"

Jiscal narrowed his eyes at Tarathiel, "Pawn of yours I might be, Captain, but do at least try to make it appear as though you care about this land."

"I am Chaos, I can care." Tarathiel turned to face Jiscal, "But I simply choose not to."

"How can you justify your-"

"I don't." Tarathiel responded. "I am simply a rock that causes avalanches."

"Damn you." Jiscal said towards Tarathiel.

"I am indeed damned." Tarathiel responded, "But that is none of your concern. Those dwarves will not be swayed by gifts, it is not gold they are after, it is empire."

"Yeah. A pleasure salve. But you know all about us pelasure slaves, don't you Malik?"

She did not turn around, and yet she was surprised when Onyx was simply...there. She hadn't been standing her all that long, which meant he must have really flown here to find her...

A little stunned, she tried to asnwer the birage of questions. "Yes, I'm fine. He hasn't hurt me once. As to be enslaved....I don't tihnk so. I haven't seen the lizard. And.....I didn't think you cared."
