on the front page, there's an ad for a thread asking you to post "randomly" on it to celebrate world "randomness" day. hi, you're posting there ON PURPOSE and FOR A SPECIFIC REASON. it isn't RANDOM.
i hate how that word gets abused. it doesn't mean "silly."

Oh my freaking goodness if I don't stop sneezing soon I am going to kill something. *headdesk*
I feel vaguely pathetic for how much I miss my silly boy...it's only Monday and I saw him Friday. But I won't see him 'til next Monday at the earliest. =(

Waltz for Luma I just road-tripped to Portland on the week of a heat wave, apparently, and it was about 100+ degrees each day. The worst was Wednesday at 106. I was too determined not to let that ruin my trip, though, and proceeded to walk around and bask in the outdoors like it was 80. ...We even went hiking on one of those days, hahaha. While you came to Portland, I was making every attempt to get out of here! And I did. I went camping at the beach. ;D How funny though. I hate the heat, it is awful.

Sexy new druids are (going to be) sexy.
I do not look forward to retalenting my DK.
Other quick gripes: Welcome to WinterFail, need more gold for alt mounts and 3 'Tome of Cold Weather Flight', patch day addon mayhem, must work on new Children's Week stuff, and once again... grinding heroics is such a chore.
And yay... I'm scheduled for the next 6 days straight.

I really liked it, I'd love to go back! I just need a good excuse to. This time, we visited my boyfriend's adorable twin nephews and I met up with an online friend of 8 years.

I'm gonna rant this here 'cause... I have nowhere else to rant it anymore, really. Since a lot of people won't understand most of this, feel free to scroll to the tl;dr.
Anyway...
I've been taking a somewhat break from WoW recently. Nothing major, just a little burnt out and was waiting for the new patch. Well, the patch arrived yesterday, so I got it installed, fixed all my addons, cracked my knuckles and logged in.
My guild is gone. Ok, well, it's not my guild... but it's the raiding guild owned by an IRL friend of mine who I'm a casual in with a couple other IRL friends. (We're mostly casual with light raiding. The rest of the guild is hardcore. Horde first, server second in progression.)
Apparently, within the last three weeks, various s**t went down. People losing interest, others having new obligations, one or two transfers... so the higher ups decided to call it quits. And not like quits like they did pre-Wrath where they ended up coming back in Wrath to reclaim the mantle of top Horde guild. Accounts have been sold, guild ownership has been transferred, and where once I saw < The Onslaught >, now I see dust.
Sure, I never ran any hardcore s**t with them, but we'd occasionally throw together some good fun runs here and there. Even though I wasn't a player of their caliber, I still felt welcome, and loved sharing information back and forth and such. But now they're gone. A few remained, but none of the ones I really talked with.
And apparently Val's been playing on a different server, already 80 on his new DK.
I knew that the Archimonde server was getting worse, I just never thought it would get this bad. I'm actually contemplating the slow arduous (and costly) process of transferring elsewhere... even though it would mean abandoning my own alt guild.
***********
tl;dr: Xan's guild in WoW broke up and he's sad.

crying I'm sorry Xan I know how ya feel. My own guild nearly broke up a month or so ago because of something similiar to that. We were never a hardcore raiding guild through BC but once WotLK hit some of us decided to dive right in to the raids and we were doing pretty well, nothing like your guild, our progression with 25 mans has always been slow because of the casualness of our guild. But a couple of months ago, progression became pretty much nil, people weren't coming on or signing up for raids or leveling alts. So our gl was concerned that maybe it was the end of the guild. I told him to wait it out, it was summer after all and WoW always gets slumps, especially for some of us that had been raiding and farming heroics every single day, trying to gear up the newer 80's and frankly we were just burnt out from it. sweatdrop Luckily, the guild is still intact and even though some of our newer recruits are more immature than I'd prefer, at least raiding is once again becoming more consistent. And with the new patch, we've already began to start farming heroics and even doing the new 5 man instance.
I do feel your pain though, having a guild break up, especially one you have enjoyed being in is painful and sad. I hope you either find a nice server to transfer to or another friendly guild to call your home. I'd say transfer to my server but that'd be too cruel, our server is sucky, I'm only there because I love a lot of the friends I have there...well that and I'm too poor to transfer off. xD;;;;
/hug heart
And omg thanks Blizzard for nerfing my jewelcrafting gems...because my crafting bonus wasn't gay enough before. rolleyes
