She rolled her eyes. "Mmhm, because you're selfish like that. It's all about Malik." Still liked to torment him with words and what not before a shake of her head. "I ate a whole plate, any more and you're going to make me want to lay around and digest all day. And that, " pointing to the now empty wine glass, "Was the strong stuff. Reason for that A'mael? Usually you don't start the day with the strong stuff."

And honestly, as much as I would love to be able to enforce some rules of my own, I know there's going to be no personal visits. it's going to be some kind of mile and a half long scathing letter or the like."

Slow raise of an eyebrow there at his prompt explaination. "Why would my father not coming down here be connected to you? Out of all the people you know, he's one of the few you'd never really consider hurting unless he really deserved it which would mean me or the children would have to die or be close to death for you to go after him. Which means you're not direct cause...yet you're still in the loop how so?" Shaking her head lightly with a sigh. "All we have to count on is time and example. The more you worry, the worse you're going to make things A'mael. And I don't think our son needs you drinking to aleviate your worries." Getting up and walking over behind his chair and dropping her hands to his shoulders, starting to work them some in that way that always made him relax.

"No. I didn't even really think about the fact that she's here without him." Blinking and hands stopping their motion a moment as she thought to herself before they continued and she shook her head. "Yes you're allowed to worry, but not too much. You worry too much and you go all broody warmonger on me and next thing I know I have to stop you from doing something better not done. It's stressful. Stress is not a good look on me remember? I look all....horrid and unattractive. And am prone to sudden unannoucned hair cuts."

Giving her own subdued chuckle even as he pulled her into a kiss and she laced her arms around him, crossing her hands on his chest and resting her head against his. "Not to get upset? It's something to get upset over? Now you know you have to tell me. You can't say something like that and then not tell."

Holding her hand a bit.
"Yes yes. well...apparently Kieran was pressuring Fianna about thier wedding to be, and she drew her body on him, in an effort to get him to back off..and then he did, or said, something that totally threw her off, and in her surprise he loosed her tension on the bow, and Kieran got shot. apparently a pretty nasty one, and he's in bed."
a slight smirk.
"So you know your grandfather is going to blame this on my 'wicked' influence on Fianna and the rest of you folks. but he wouldn't come down here. he'll send some emissary with a letter I'm sure."

"She shot him?" Waiting a moment. "And that's it? You didn't get details or anything? You're supposed to get details." There was no reason for her to be too worried, after all he was alive right? And no details made for poor panic sessions. But she gave a snicker. "No, he won't blame you, he'll just blame mother and probably does for," clearing her throat for mocking tone effectiveness, "This is what happens when you don't stick to your own kind. You can't trust them and they only cause trouble. Stick to what is pure and true and what you know the best. Bah wood elves." Giving a small laugh of sorts at the end of it in self amusement. "You're the bad influence on me, remember? You're corrupted me and condemed me to darkness and so on and so forth."

She quirked an eyebrow and stared at him. "Wait, you're thinking positive about this? My husband the cynic actually thinks something good will come out of this? My, my, we must be in an exceptionally good mood today." Reaching over and ruffling her son's hair. '
"No. Daddy sparklies. Mine." Plopping some more of the gold and steel onto his head even though they fell off a moment later. He kept putting them back up and then handed one to Nym. "I share. One me. One Nym." Dropping one in Nym's pile. "Two me. Two Nym." Dropping one in Nym's pile and two in his. "Three Nym. Three me." And so on and so forth.
"Yes, I'm afraid I didn't say that very well..." Shaking her head and following after him until she stopped. Horses? "I umm...no?" She tilted her head and studied it then backed away very slowly.
"Well, I've never been to Andal and I don't get to see a whole lot of royal stuff either. If you didn't know about Aunt Piper's parents, you'd never know they were royalty in the first place. It's actually pretty boring living down here."

"Are you sure she was using that bow? I think you're looking for a reason for him to blame you just so you can write a nasty letter back or debate and prove him wrong in person. Should you honestly be tangling with old badgers? You may be rather old yourself love, but Ahkhallyn sill has at least seven hundred years on you. You're a pup to him." Rolling her eyes then, "He already doesn't like me enough as it is. Why dig a deeper hole for myself?"
"I didn't say something good will come out of this, just that things will turn out okay. But if you're the one being a pessimist and cynic yourself I can't very well be...you pout so much better than me. And well, we don't need to make the atmosphere too oppressive." Grinning back to his son, counting already and everything. "Oh so what's mine is yours hm? How about we get you your own? You can help mommy dry the dishes and pick up all your toys." A look to Zahara, "You see that? He's counting. Kind of."
Nym was all too happy, curling up on the bed and grabbing pieces of metal as they were handed over and shoving them under his little body in hoarder like fashion so that the kid couldn't be getting them back. Chitter.
He blinked. "Afraid of horses? He looks big and bad, but he's really tame and you don't have to worry." Pulling the horse out of the stall and tacking him up, and it seemed much to the horses delight. Holding him by a bridle stap he held out a hand to Kaelin. "Come here and just give him a pet on the nose, you'll see. And don't worry, the fire won't burn. Kerick, this is Kaelin why don't you say hi?" The horse giving a happy nicker and whinny at that.
"Well, why don't you ask to go if your family comes from there? I'm sure they'd take you if you did." Playing with his fingers again as he sat there. "If you go, you can tell me all about it when you get back."

"Poking old badgers with sticks can be an amusing past time. and most rangers, when they get a bow better than what they normally have, the use the better bow without question. So I would think that a fire imbued bow would be her bow of choice."
A slight chuckle at her and rub on her arm.
"Because if you can't ever get out of the hole, at least have the fun of making it deeper."

Zahara laughed and rested her head against his shoulder, watching their son for a moment. "He's cheating Nym too. I wonder who taught him that little trick."
Kelligrin looked up at his father like he'd been given the world. "Mine?" As in all his? Forever and ever and ever? Really? Grinning and clapping his hands then nodding. "I do all times." Doing that would be no problem at all. Thus Nym was lifted and hugged tightly again and then he frowned and reached out counting the little pieces of steel and gold. "Nym need one more." Thus handing it to the ferret and then slipping off the bed. "Kelli go bye-bye. Nym too."
She held her hands behind her back, staring at the rather large beast and glanced at Malikhai like he was nuts. "Horses don't like me. Most small animals don't..." Glancing down at her boots and taking one itty bitty little step forward. "H-hi?"
She shook her head. "My dad would never go back and mom likes to stay here with him. The closest I've ever gotten is talking to the ones who came from there. I don't think drow can really handle all the stuff that happens on the surface. Plants and flowers and the sun..." Studying him. "Do you have to worry about that stuff?"

"Or dig deeper until I reach the Underdark?" Pressing a kiss to his cheek and giving a light melodic laugh. He was rather amusing when he wanted to be. See he wasn't all gruff and warlord. "I still say you're just looking for a fight with Ahkallyn. I'm sure you'll get one if we go to see father and he won't want us to."
"I didn't teach him to cheat Nym...you're the one who does that. Not me." Ruffling his son's hair. "Yes all yours and only yours because you earned it. Won't that be fun?" Looking to his wife again. "And now you have a new helper, see the kind of things I do for you?" Then a blink. "Where are you and Nym going bye bye to?"
"Kerick likes everyone. He's nothing to be afraid of." Petting at the horse in effort to show her that it was okay to touch him and that he wasn't going to hurt her at all. "We've been together since we were both small. He's very friendly and a smooth ride too. I wouldn't let you fall off of him."
He shook his head. "Nope. Mama always said I was a quick adapter and didn't have to worry about it because I seemed to be fine." Tilting his head. "I think you should ask to go, or I could take you to the surface here if you want. I know it good."
