"Vacation to Andal...you're not going to get any argument out of me. I could use some sun right about now. So what's this idea?" Letting him pull her up and she fitting herself against him as he looped an arm around her, relaying this supposed plan. She couldn't help a laugh. "Act as what? Obviously she didn't know how you 'courted' me. More of 'so are you going to sleep with me yet' than actual courting." She liked to mess with him about it merely because it was enjoyable to and she got a kick out of it herself. "But I understand what she's saying...looking to show off that mommy and daddy are just as they've always been. You'd rather chop your own arm off before you hurt me just to hurt me." Sure enough he'd never raised a hand to her, or given a jerk on her collar. "I've always enjoyed it when you're all sweet and such, worried you won't be able to give ample performance or are you still uncomfortable with others seeing that softer side of you that only I'm privialged to see?"

She agreed and watched the toddler carefully drink half of what was in the glass and pick at the food on the plate before carrying the bowl of oatmeal and settling in his father's lap. "I know that. If you make moves to kill me I won't be happy with you Sevilin Inthara. But neither will I leave you alone. I have defended against you before and I'll do it again. You shouldn't suffer under things of the past and certainly not alone." Adamant and stubborn, yes. But if Sevilin really didn't trust himself he knew exactly how to keep her away from him and he'd employ those very runes.
He wanted to see her after school? Why? Had she done something to upset him or did he need her help with something? "Yes, I suppose that would be fine. I'll have to let my mother know and make sure it's alright with her. Did you have a place in mind?" He seemed...uncertain.
She settled back against the couch once again and nodded. "I'd like that but I can't seem to fall into reverie. I'm not scared...I think my mind is just too active. But you could stay and talk to me about something and I won't be so lonely."

"My concern is that young children have this really bad habit of being remarkably perceptive at exactly the wrong time. like we'll have some fun and enjoy it, but he's going to somehow percieve that we are doing it to show him that I'm not someone that would beat you, and he's going to take it as an act just for show. and while I may be uncomfortable with it in public, this is family. big difference."
A slight grin.
"you know, I wonder if your mother really does have any kind of idea what our courting was like. I bet if she did, she'd certainly not have suggested it."

He pet through his son's hair as he came to settle in his lap with the oatmeal, reaching over to grab the spoon and hand it to the toddler, trying to get him to at least try to use it. "That's why we have a system for these things. Because sometimes the past just catches up to us and tries to smother us." Shaking his head lightly with a smile to her, she really was something. "But for now, it's about getting the kids better. Not me."
A grin at that because he liked it when things were going his way. Now he just had to follow up...he really needed to think these things completely through before he took them on. We could always head over to Honorsfield or Deepwater, or my place. You know just someplace to hang around, get something to eat. Could even head up topside if you wanted."
"You'll eventually nod off." Leaning back against the couch himself and getting himself comfortable. Giving a nod to her before trying to think of something to talk about since she wanted him to stay...though he didn't really know what to talk about, he wasn't used to being social. Hm. "What are those symbols you're always doing when you do some magics?"
"You have absolutely no faith sometimes do you know that?" Shaking her head lightly but giving a light laugh, "At least you don't deny that's what you did. Though you really did have your moments where you tried really hard to do it the right way other than trying to get me into your bed right off." A sideglance to him though, "If anyone knows you, you don't fake affection. It's simply not in you. You didn't even fake it well when you were around me those first few months."

"Which is never fun and usually carries it's own repercussions." He was exactly right that their children was the most important priority right now and she picked up a napkin from the tray and dabbed at her son's mouth, much to his chagrin. "I thought he didn't like oatmeal." Leaning back, she sighed softly, looking forward to just settling down after all the excitement.
So he wanted to hang out with her? Like all of her friends were always talking about? She could do that as long as her mother was in a good mood. "I'll ask my mother at lunchtime then. But we can't go to the surface." It would not go over well at all. "Do I need to...bring anything?"
She would have been comfortable just sitting with him and was about to tell him so when he found a topic that she liked and could respond to. "Oh, those are runes. My dad is a Master runemage from Andal and he teaches them to me. They work pretty much the way spells do but you don't have to chant an incantation or have anything special to make it work. You just use your own energy and draw the correct rune and you can do whatever." Chewing on her lower lip for a moment. "What was your dad good at?"

"He doesn't like a lot of things one day and likes them all the more the next day. He likes to play in it more than eat it but I think he's looking forward to something that he doesn't have to chew. And I'll let you hold him as much as you want today seeing as I know you've been affected by this just as much as him and you'll want to know he's safe."
"Alright, no surface. Was just a thought." And perhaps that killed his other plans, but he'd have to investigate more. Maybe she'd just never been there and thus she didnt' know how to feel about it. "No, just your pretty self. I'll take care of anything we need to pay for and the like. Just pick a place you'd like to go and I'll take you there." He supposed this was a good thing then.
"That sounds neat, I've never heard of a type of magic like that. Usually it's all dependent on the circumstances and what not. Must be a good type of magic to know since all have have to do is know the symbols. I assume it's not easy though." Blinking lightly. "My dad was a guide. He had really good maps of the surface and he could lead people pretty much everywhere. He said it was his destiny by his name and he loved it."

Sevilin was exactly right and she watched as he dipped his fingers in it and then stuck them in his mouth, glancing up at his father with a grin. "I appreciate that but I don't think he's going to want to be held too much. He's looking much better and ever since he became upwardly mobile, sitting around while I snuggle on him isn't high on his list of priorities." Shaking her head and pulling her son's hand out of his hair. "Don't get that all over Daddy or he'll have to clean you and him."
He didn't seem too pleased at that and she frowned. What was the best way to tell him that she was forbidden from going to the surface? Watching him for a moment, she felt her skin warm at his compliment and nodded happily. "Okay. I think I'd like to go to Deepwater and we'll find something to do there." There were bars and whatnot and she'd first met him at that sort of place. "I'll just tell my friends I have other plans." Knowing he didn't want them tagging along. She walked down the hall to her class and then stopped and turned, pecking him on the cheek. "Thanks, Malikhai. It's really sweet of you."
"Once I get my energy up and if my dad says, I'll show it to you. It's really neat because you can combine two runes to make a completely different effect. My dad's really good at that part. I'm still learning." Mykorian's father was a surface elf who was a guide. She filed the information away and nodded. "What about your mom?"

"We can always have another one for you to cuddle later." Grinning at her before shaking his head and brushing a hand through his son's hair, yes feeling for oatmeal and the like. "Hey, wouldn't both us any. We both like to be clean." And he was always happy to scrub a layer of skin off himself.
"Deepwater it is then. Just meat me when the day is over by the stables and I'll take you by your place and then we'll head off to Deepwater." Grinning as he receieved a kiss on his cheek and he tried to suppress the urge to let his cheeks turn purple. "Pleasure is mind." Handing her back her bag and watching her head into class before he headed off to attend his first class which he did have with Zykariel. Confident feeling he slipped into his seat and grinned at his friend. "Score."
He nodded, indeed that sounded wonderfully neat. But he supposed he liked his own brand of magic and his skills with blunt weapons as well...blades and such didn't do it too much for him. But another look at her, scratching behind one ear a moment. "Mom was a tailor. She used to make the most beautiful and handsome clothes that I had ever seen. Everyone wanted her designs. She had a whole big book of them too."

She turned and blinked. Was he saying what she thought he was? Did he want another one right now? No, he couldn't possibly. Giving him a grin, she rested her head against his shoulder and shook it. "Later. I can't be fat again right now. You know we'll probably have another one in a few years. Once Kariel grows up a little more and Faate and Lyssie do as well. Kelligrin is going to need a playmate after all. Besides just Dhairiss."
He looked up from the book he was skimming, debating on whether or not he would keep this class when his choices became his own. He liked the instructor and Malikhai was in this one too. Grinning, "Way to go." He looked quite pleased with himself, didn't he? "So where are you two off to then?"
"My mom always loved tailors. She liked wearing things that were new and different. The tailor here is like that but probably not as good as your mom." Shaking her head and smiling as he was talking about them. "A tailor and a guide. Did your dad offer to take her somewhere? Is that how they met? Or did he need something made and knew to go to the best?"

He chuckled at that look he gave her, knowing what was going through her head. He liked to mess with her....the subject of more children was something that would have to be discussed in length. After all, things were tight enough as it was what with trying to feed the six of them as well as provide all the other essentials while not being more depedent on Malik. Sevilin liked earning his family's keep. "There will be plenty of time for all of that...and Kel can get playmates that aren't family when he starts school and the like. Exposure is good."
"We're going to hit Deepwater after school. You know, a little city stuff and away from parents and probably prying eyes of friends too much. Hope they don't stalk us there." Still grinning. "I even got a kiss out of it all. Good thing I brought steel with me today."
"I could give your mom the book of design's my mom had...someone should appreciate them and they're just gathering dust right now. Most of them she hadn't even made yet. But she did teach me how to sew and stuff." At leat he was getting a smile out of her...seemed she was feeling better. "He needed some travel gear that was going to last him longer than the standard that he had. Lots of wear and tear you know? But he also wanted to look good at the same time. Someone told him about her and he came down to see her. They kind of just fell into life with each other. Or so that's what they told me."

Galesen smiled lightly, he had woke up awhile ago and noticed that Mykorian was missing. He realized at the moment that the boy probably got up earlier than he thought and went to Twilight which he did as well. Now he was in the arena because he had an idea strike him last night while fiddling around with his magic. Grinning Galesen held out his hands with his fingertips pointed straight ahead of him, focusing on his magic he allowed his hands to glow blue until he released it. A beam of blue magic shot out and struck the ground, keeping his concentration Galesen raised his hands, as he did ice began to form at the bottom and as the beam went up ice came right after it.
The elf kept on raising his arms until they were pointing straight forward. Smiling he stopped and looked at what he created which was a tall thin sheet of ice, but it didn't come without it's imperfections which were pieces of ice sticking out of it, some big and some small. "Damn still not good enough..." A look to the other ones around him, some were short when he started trying it out while others were just large pieces of ice. He had been going at it for a couple of hours but Galesen wanted to keep on going until it was very thin enough one can see through it. Shaking his hands because they were cold he blew on them a little before starting up his fire magic to warm them, better than waiting awhile to get the feeling back.

"Yeah I know. but we don't know how much he was affected by those creatures. I just worry is all. It's part of my job."
A smirk at her.
"And I bet after that first experience in my bed you were wondering why you didn't agree sooner. But that's the general plan. use examples to erase over override the ones show to him by that thing. So right now your mother has our youngest, our oldest I think should be asking that girl out on a date someplace by now, and we'll see about things later. And you need to feel better. how about we start with breakfast. get you something to eat, might help you out. I'll even cook if you want."

His chuckle was the signal that he was just screwing with her and she punched him in the arm lightly to demonstrate her slight displeasure. "Yes, he can but when I have that itch...it's got to be scratched."
Kel chose that moment to shift in his father's lap, upending the bowl of oatmeal in his lap and, by default, in his father's as well. "Uh-oh. I sorry." He'd just been reaching for his glass of milk. Giving a happy grin as his mother handed it to him, he finished it off then glanced back up at his father and patted him on the cheek, the normal action that left sticky granules along the skin he touched. "Now we breakfast!" Happy giggle.
"Deepwater. Not a bad choice overall. Some good food, great ale. Don't be afraid to drink with her, Malikhai." Glancing at the instructor to see if he was starting class or not, he laughed. "Well, congratulations to you. On the mouth, cheek, or..." -waggling his eyebrows mischievously- "...somewhere else?"
"Really? I think she'd like that." It was amusing to know that Mykorian had actually wanted to learn how to sew but she'd wanted to learn how to fight just like her father so maybe it wasn't that hard to see. "Sewing is a very good thing to know. My mom mends all of our clothes because my dad is pretty bad at it. He tries but he can't keep the stitches as small as Mom can." Faate actually really liked hearing how certain people had met and fallen in love and whatnot and she grinned. "At least yours liked each other at first. Mine hated each other and tried to kill the other at least a dozen times."

"Yes you're allowed to worry, but have a little faith A'mael." Giving a laugh and rolling her eyes, pushing him away some in playful manner from her person. "No, I wasn't. Can we not speak of my awkward sexual beginnings? It's so...well you know." Shaking her head lightly. He was so full of himself sometimes. "I am feeling a bit better, but breakfast sounds good. Won't let you cook though...next thing I know you'll be drugging me with cinnamon.
Still smiling at her. "An we'll scratch it. But know better than to have the kids too close back to back. Besides, we have more than enough mouths to feed right now as it is." Before a blink at that familiar feeling and he looked down with a sigh. "The mouths that eat that is..." Picking up the child out of the slight pool of oatmeal that was now in his lap. "Yes, now we are breakfast...you are definiately feeling better."
"Drink yes, get drunk is a no no." Shaking his head lightly and then reaching over to pop his friend in the arm in teenage boy fashion. "On the cheek. Give her some credit. Besides...I'd like to earn my relationship levels unlike you who can get what he wants from any of them. Speaking of which, do you want to be in the Honorsfield race?"
"Your parents hated each other and tried to kill each other? Well then how'd they end up together then? Do they still fight a lot?" Shaking his head lightly, it was something he couldn't really understand. "My dad said he was smitten with my mother and that she brushed him off at first, but he was persistent."

"I don't want to be fat right now anyway." She laughed softly at Sevilin's sizing up of the entire situation and shook her head. "If you're breakfast then that means I have to eat you. Reaching into his lap, she cupped her hands and removed as much of the oatmeal as she could, dropping it back into the bowl. "Get him and yourself in the bath. I'll take the tray downstairs and strip the bed."
"I didn't say get drunk. You're exactly right, that's a big no no. Girls like a guy who can party but not one they have to hold up and fend off." He laughed softly and nodded. "I thought as much. She's a good girl. Too good for me which makes her just about perfect for you."
"Yup. They didn't trust each other very much and my dad really didn't like women." Actually that wasn't entirely true. "My mom liked my dad, I think. She's the one who pursued the relationship in the beginning but they were still fighting each other. They still fight sometimes but I know they love each other a lot too. My dad will pretty much tear anyone apart who tries to hurt her and my mom's the same way. They both feel that way about us." It was rather fascinating for her to understand that his parents were two different elves and she shook her head. "How long did it take him?"
