Aella harumphed. "Apparently I am not worth answering. It's the half-blood, isn't it?" She turned to Tarathiel. "Can Orko locate Onyx for me? I want to get this over with." Then a glar to Malik. And no one will bother the Oracle. She's exaughsted, she's sick, and she's in shock. The trauma will soon follow." She held tightly to her staff. :If i get word that she's re-lapsed because of someone's meddling..."

It was finally time. Anticipation built inside Kaden and he almost moved too early. Calming slightly he kept careful watch, making sure all was prepared and he reached into his pocket and pulled out the little beauty he was going to use to lure Piper to him. Wait for it...wait for it. He heard the pounding of Terran's horses' hooves and the more subtle sound of Serino's. Just a little bit longer, Terran passed...and it was time. He tossed his object out into the middle of the road and closed his eyes to avoid the flash, it wouldn't do him any good to be disoriented. He stayed back in the shadows and watched to see if his aim had been true.

Eliot looked over her shoulder. Her father couldn't hunt for sure. And rabits where scarce...

"A meal," She replied coldly, "Would be nice." On cue her and her father's stomachs groweled.

Terran looked slightly over his shoulder as he passed Kaden up where he lay in wait, both with knowing smiles. Though his eyes also settled on Piper and her drawn back arrow. The hell? But no matter to that as Kaden made his move. A sharp tug on his horses reins to skid her too a stop where he dismounted and shielded his eyes with his forearm.

What was thrown in front of the galloping Zephyr? Elvish flash bomb of sorts...and the unexpected flash was enough to spook Serino, who skidded on his own air tracks and reared, the light unsettling his eyes. Of course the bright light was harsher on Piper...the dark she'd been in so long making her sensitive to light in general and also the gold in her eyes grabbing the light...instant self born flash blindness. Both bow and notched arrow dropped from her hands, Serino's rearing tumbling her back off the horse to hit the ground rather hard, a hand over her eyes as she cringed slightly both from pain of the fall and of the flash. Squinting against light that was only present in her own eyes she grabbed her dagger from her boot. She couldn't see and Terran was about.

Terran wasted no time. He ran over and grabbed Serino's reins. Ha, a reigned Zephyr couldn't change himself to his natural element and thus was trapped and Gale had hold of the reins. With a good amount of fight and pulling he managed to tie Serino's reins to a rock outcropping. Damnable horse. And he chuckled, turning his look to Kaden. "Perfect..."

"Orko, Black Cat's location." Tarathiel said robotically, "No, I think it will lessen the tide of war." He responded to a question that wasn't even asked. "Orko's busy, he found.. something he wants to watch." Tarathiel paused, "You do realize, you could take off the cloak and stand outside on the balcony, and Onyx will probably come for you, he was looking for you with Wisps, little ghosts that are pretty fast and mobile."

Dagger smiled, "Come this way then, to the kitchen, away from the mess your impish friends created. Apparently, feeding servents scraps is the most efficent way to get things done, I agree so long as the scraps are in comparison to the food being served, and not a literal understanding." She was taking a liking to this brave child, somewhat like a younger version of herself, more naive. But that seems to be a lack of connection to this economy. "What is your story?"

Aella smirked. "Good. That would save me a lot of trouble. Traveling with the staff is taxing." She undid the clasp of her claok, threw it over the back of a lounge chair. "Orko was watching what exactly" She was a tad suspicious..

She tightened her top not, threw the staff over a shoulder and walked out onto the balcony. If he really was looking for her with these...whisps...then he'd be able to find her. Right?

Kaden nodded and stopped himself from laughing. Terran's words were exactly right. It was perfect. He made some noise in the brush and then moved out, coming behind Piper and reaching down, he laid a hand on her shoulder. In a concerned voice he asked, "Are you alright?" Sensing she wouldn't react well to someone touching her when he knew full well she couldn't see he made sure she heard his voice first. "It's alright. I'm here to help you." Helping her stand was only the first aspect, he checked her over quickly to make sure she hadn't been injured by her fall. And he waited to see what she woudl do next. His hands fairly itched to touch that soft skin he knew he'd find but he would bide his time. She'd be there soon enough. For now she was in his clutches.

Eloit wasn't sure she wanted to share her story.

Her father, not one for chit chat, strecthed his limbs as he walked.

Well what did it matter if one person knew who she was? She had tried with Warren and that didn't work ou twell, that doesn't mean this woman was the same as him.

"I come from a place far from here, where the trees are tall, green, and lush." Her voice got wistful, "It is truly a beautiful place, not like what I have seen here. Everything here is stone, the castle seems just like a large cage to me. One day my pack was attacked. Many of the pups and all of the elders were killed, My mother one of them. My friends and family are all gone. My father's scent was the only one I could pic up and follow. I came here to fight for freedom. I felt like I had nothing else but him."

Well that was basicly it.

"Tortured..that lich had the gual to torment an oracle. great. his ego keeps getting bigger. as for trade..you don't trade with the Purians, or the Academy? I thought the Purians had a trade route with you. the layout is the same. then get me a map and mark down these dwarven encampents for me."

A look at Whirlwind.

"Onyx is the kit of an enemy. I allow him in my home because I don't need his father coming after me. I've died twice to him already I'd rather not a third time. and if you get word or relapse form meddling you'll do nothing but die. I've centuries more experience in both combat and magic than you I woudl think."

Back to Jiscal and Tarathiel.

"Adn don't give me anything about her being special, Tarathiel."

She called back from the balcony:

"You aren't immortale Malik. To one who is over confident a child with a butterknife could spell your end." She waited out in the cold air, the ever weak lighting of the city leaving it in perpetual dusk. Of course, there was no garauntee that Onyx would try yot look for her again, or even keep trying so long after they had parted.

Serino was not a happy Zephyr as he gained his own vision back. Snorting and pawing at the ground, kicking up the small amount of wind he could control and have with reins on. And he pulled hard at those reins too but elvish knots weren't the easiest thing to get out. Oh when he got loose...

She pretty much froze at the voice, even held her breath a moment. No...it couldn't be...but it in fact rang out true and she cringed at it. Of course a violent flinch and a pull away from him as he laid a hand to her shoulder but he didn't seem to care and more or less pulled her too her feet. Of course she still had that dagger in her hand and pushed away from him, pivoting on her heel to face where her ears told her he was, brandishing that dagger at him. Piper could slightly see him, or at least the outline of him against the bright white that was he field of vision at the moment. "Kaden..." Though of course she was seriously thanking that her eyes hadn't been exposed long...meant the damn effect would wear off...but just not quickly enough from her liking.

Terran was thoroughly amused really. Serino was fun to watch struggle and the thought of little helpless flash blind Piper was amusing as well. He gave a chuckle and came closer to the pair. Kaden was standing in front of her, Terran to her back and a few feet off.

"Piper my love, always were such a spitfire. It was that very fire I loved most about you. Why aren't you happy to see me beloved? I've searched everywhere for you. Did you know we all believed you were dead?" He shook his head solemnly. "Oh yes, all of your family, your friends, believe you are long gone. But you're not." He smiled sweetly and took her by the shoulders plucking the dagger from her fingers. He used one hand to cup her chin and said softly, "and now, you and I can be wed just like we we're supposed to. Oh Piper...you and me. We'll have to kill the drow of course, but that shouldn't be too difficult. You are at last mine, Piper...Ravenwing." He added that on just to bring home the point he was making.

"What ever it is, its interesting." Tarathiel said, he wondered if he should do something about what Orko was watching, he did after all recall giving the order to spy on Malik, which lead them to see the scene where Piper had forced her way out of Malik's layer, and the drow crying. This lead to one watching Piper, because she might have been used as leverage in dealing with Malik. Tarathiel walked over to the chair and picked up the cloak, and even put it on. "Can't leave these magics lying around, you never know who would take them."

"I think you are from the northern bend, just beyond the known borders, or possibly the glean near the farming area, but either way, I am sorry." She was sincere, but no one who knew her would be sure of that. "My mother was an elf, a pretty one at that. She was taken captive for e the herem, and when my grandfathr refused the guards, he was taken too." the kitchen was not very far away, it wasn't an overly large castle. "Stewarts, please bring some water and some of the soft bread, and perhaps some tender meat." She ordered the main cooks. "I would offer more, but in his state, he could eat himself to death."

Tarathiel's ear's perked up, "Centries, I doubt that. I have lived the lives of seven drow soldiers. Magic, I need none." Its more fun when they know you can't use it.

"Special, she indeed is, you just don't know her well enough to know that yourself. You assume that because people dress a certain way, they are either combatives or civilians, or if they carry a perticular weapon, they can use no other. You only see with your eyes, so, apparently, you know nothing of seeing with your mind." Tarathiel smirked, "I am begining to think you are not much of a fighter yourself, growing lazy, learning spells."

Jiscal brought back a map, a fairly new one, and placed it on a table, and drew a large oval from near the centre to towards the docks where most of Dimitri's fleet once dwelled. He added three squares in the oval, and drew a few door markers. "The dwarves have built their foundations strong, you wouldn't know from the way Fallen spoke of them that they could build so much so quickly without any machines." Levers and pullies. "The stone walls are thicker than mine, and they seem to be a united fighting force. The leader, Shield of Lies, refuses to surrender this land until we give him something he wants."

"A mine." Tarathiel suggested.

"Something we don't have." Jiscal responded. "Why do you think our soldiers where leather armour and carry wooden weapons?"

"Quantity over quality." Tarathiel paused, He didn't seem amused, but he also didn't seem to be watching the room.

She grasped at air as he felt her dagger taken from her and could only blink as she let her vision clear throughout his little speech he was giving her."How did you find me Kaden..." She was stalling to let her vision clear. Though the more he talked the less she was winning against her flee response. And in her ears she heard Serino, talking to her, telling her to run, to get away, telling her where both were. To not worry about him, he would be fine. Malik was right, and she had stupidly indeed thought she could handle this. And at the very mentioning of killing Malik, the aggression in her flared slightly, and as her vision gave her leeway she took her shot. "D'vinn over Ravenwing, any day!" A step back and she reached down, grabbing her remaining dagger and flinging it at Terran to distract him and then a sucker punch to Kaden...then she bolted.

Terran was indeed caught off guard by that dagger and it clipped him in the arm, drawing an elvish curse from him. And then what? She was getting away now? Oh no she wasn't, she was his payday. But as he started after her, Kaden threw up an arm and stopped him in his tracks. "You're letting her get away?"

Malik ignored the girl, and looked at teh map.

"Dwarves are sturdy, powerful, and quick with stone. no one works tone like they do, or as strong and quickly. As for my combat experience..I know well wnough to knwo what your saying, Tarathiel. but she's a halfbreed. we live longer, and becuase she's a half breed, magics of disease, death, decay, and poison are that much more effective. I'm a shadowkinght, a dark paladin if you will. necromancy is part of our training."

Onyx perked up, and the little red wisps zinged past Whirlwind almost immediately. Onyx wasted no time, and ran otu the window, pumping his wings and heading in the direction of Deepwater as fast as they coudl carry him.
