"That's why we talk about it. You know I can give advice on the subject. I have been around long enough to see all sorts of women."
chuckling lightly.
"And what training would that be? hmm? after all, I do have access to all your classes and what you are and are not taking. and you know if you were taking anything special here, it has to go through me."
A slight grin.
"So come on. been seeing each other after school? during classes? you even talk to her at all?"

Aw crap he was stuck wasn't he? Then again that should be nothing new, his parents usually did catch him in his bluffs. Crap indeed. Wasn't getting out of this in any way, was he? Thus cue the exasperated teenage sigh, letting his one arm flop off the side of the bed again, much to Yinn's delight as the draithix took to nibbling on his fingers. "She's in a few of my classes, and we kinda talk. But usually she's with her friends anyway. Teenage girls are like a pack of vicious wolves who want to tear you apart. They're agrivating. Or at least her friends are. Zykariel thinks it's amusing." Turning his head so at least one steel gray eye slightly flecked with gold watched his father. "What do girls matter right now anyway? I have more important things to do." His hormones would disagree with that though.

"Oh yes, women in groups are like rabid dogs. but that's the test. if you can gain the trust and faith of the lead female, the others ill be nicer to you. they just don't trust you yet."
and a glance at Yinn.
"Because women are much, much more dangerous and crafty. if you can handle women, you can handle men with ease. not to mention, as a father, I do have a bit of pride to know how good my son does with women."

"Trust me a temporary change can turn into something completely different in a blink of an eye." He allowed the little flame on his finger to roll around his hand before dousing it by closing his fist. "Hey you're no bother Mykorian. I would of said no when I was asked to take you in if you were one. You just need to stay a little grounded after wandering for so long in my opinion." A small shrug follow by a light smile before he headed back toward the house. "You can go to bed when you're ready, there is no set time really around here." And so back inside, it would be best to give the kid some space Galesen would give him that.

That ball reappeared in his hands after his father made those motions to leave. Playing with something helped him think, one of his many quirks, he supposed. He had no idea what he'd be willing to offer to complete this little deal of his father's but he knew he had to come up with something that would be relatively intense. He knew how badly his father wanted him to focus on his studies after all. Hmm...
Lost in thought, she startled when he jostled her and nearly shrieked but calmed herself immediately before her energy went out of whack. How was she holding up? Her whole body ached from an overuse of energy and she felt...numb. It wasn't pleasant at all but she was pretty much stuck with it. Shrugging, she traced her fingers on the wood. "Okay."

“Well how am I supposed to know who’s in charge? The moment I think they know, they seem to switch it up on me. More of a hassle than anything productive.” Lightly teasing Yinn, just because. “It’s not like I’m looking to do combat with Kaelin dad.” Shaking his head lightly and throwing his pillow back up behind him where it belonged. “And I’m not going to try to get to know a girl for lessons on strategic handling and the like. That’ll really get me in trouble with them.” Clicking his tongue against his teeth with a snicker snort. “I’m not much of a pride source for you when it comes to women. Besides, they’re distracting.”
He listened to Galesen talk and go, but never really looked at him when he was doing those things. He was still content to sit on his rock and stare someplace else. When he was alone he gave a frustrated noise before wandering inside himself to his apparent new room and slipping into bed. He could at least try to get some reverie early tonight.
Idly he watched his daughter...she was definitely not herself and that was worrisome. And he knew she wasn't telling too much of the truth...he knew how she was. "Do you want to talk about what happened? Or do you even know what happened?" She may not even know what had been going on.
Fianna gently pulled the door closed as she left the room, marking a rune to the wooden surface just in case to cut the noise down from the outside. They were in reverie now and frankly she didn’t want any noise to pull either of them out of it, they both needed it.

"That's very simple. the lead female is the one you are interested in. the others are moving around to defend. and it's not about combat, it's about being mentally able to keep your mind where you want it. Do you have any interest in this girl? if you do, and you want time with her, you're going to have to go get it. her friends aren't just going to let you have it unless she wants them to. and she won't want to if she thinks your not interested, or interested enough."

See it was getting more and more complicated. "I'm interested in her." It was kinda hard to explain without feeling bad about things. "They like to treat me like the high born kid and don't let me forget it." It wasn't teasing persay, but at the same time it was and he didn't like it. He'd almost hurt a few of them but his better judgement had made him hold back. "So what? You're saying be more aggressive about it? From what I've seen, most of the girls hate that."

"That's just plain jealousy. they know that you don't have to be there, and that you will, in time, probably be the one they are asking favors from and bargaining to even talk to. So their taking advantage of being able to prod you now."
A glance at his son, watching him for a moment.
"Only partially. tell me, what do you do when you want to talk to her and she's in a pack of her friends?"

Jealousy yes, but he still didn't like it at all. "Yeah well, they're not goning to get away with it too much longer." Frowning somewhat."Wait for a break in the inane chattering. If you try to interrupt them, they all get this look like they're going to rip you open. Or happen to make a joke out of something they do say that I know won't get me bad looks that makes them all giggle and she breaks whatever they were talking about to strike up conversation with me."

"Do you try to get her away fro her friends, or do you just let them sit there and eavesdrop? and by away I don't mean ten feet. I mean a good distance. And have you ever thought about asking her to do something after school? perhaps a study session or going to a play or the like?"
moving over to the bed, stepping over Yinn.
"Does she ever give you looks, try to talk to you? particularly if her friends are around, and without Zykariel's prodding?"
of course he knew the zykariel was his son's 'wingman' as the human's called it.

"Not really much time to get to do such things. You know, that brief period between classes and teachers never appreciate you chattering in class, even if you have finished all your work and so has teh other person you're talking to. Haven't tried to after shool thing yet." Turning a look to his father again as the elf moved closer. "Yeah she does. She's usually happy to see me or chat me up if I haven't talked to her that day. Zykariel keeps saying she's just playing extremely hard to get and 'the chase' is fun. I'm not finding it fun yet."

Her eyes closed for the briefest second as her fists clenched themselves defensively. "I know what happened." Did she want to talk about it? No, she really didn't. Searching for a way to convince her father was hard though. "I'm fine, Daddy." Giving him a halfhearted smile just so he'd go away. "Really. Just a little shaken up. I think...I'm gonna go study a little." Pushing up from the table, she leaned up on her tiptoes and brushed her lips over her father's cheek. "Don't worry about me, okay?"

"That's because your not a racer. for Zykariel, the thrill is in the chase, not the prize. we d'vinns enjoy the prize more than the chase. doesn't sound to me like she's 'playing hard to get' as much as she wants you to take an initiative. Invite her over here sometime. if you want, since I've been considering it anyway, we can take her to Andal with us, and you guys cna go spend time with Isle or one of her lunatic friends."
A slight grin.
"Or go on a sight seeing tour on the pendant isles. free time alone, no one to bother you, but not to far from places where we can meet you or get in touch if need be."

"You liked chasing mom." He looked skeptical. "Dad...no offense, but a lot of people don't want to come over here. They're all intimidated and the like. Heck if you and mom weren't my parents I think that I would be too. Some people are happy to just be part of your little kingdom, but they don't even think about approaching the fortress." Sitting up and picking up Yinn, petting at the creature who was all too happy at attention. "Andal isn't such a bad idea though. She doesn't seem to like being home either. I suppose I can ask her. Her mom may not let her go though, apparently she's all uptight or something."
He knew she wasn't fine, her body posture said as much but he also knew that you shouldn't push some things. She would talk about it when she was ready to talk about it. "Alright Tally, but if you need to talk...you know where to find me or your mother." Using her other nickname from when she was smaller before watching her go off and he headed back upstairs to his wife, rubbing at the back of his neck in that frustrated manner. "Faatallon's not ready to talk yet. And are you ready to have a fight soon?"
