A frown from Galesen but he didn't want to shout. "Hey you're the one who is telepathic, I thought you would of heard how many there are around here, it would save us time. Don't worry about it though we'll continue-" A pause as Mykorian just suddenly just stop speaking to him, he too then stopped as well and waited until the boy was able to say something. "Really they're all gone? Good, then we can meet up with the others at least, that is if you can track therm if not then we be stumbling around in the dark here." A pause as he activated the link stone again. "Alright Malikhai, Mykorian says that all crystals are gone. Relay it to the others if you can. We'll try and find our way to you guys. See you soon." And so off in another direction which Galesen thought was the correct way to the others, or at least he could retrace his steps.

Still terrified, he held onto Malikhai tightly, burying his face in the older elf's shoulder, his little body shivering before he became quiet. Too much energy when he had so little left...

The spiders disappeared the moment Kelligrin was picked up and Zahara lunged for her son the same time the other one did, racing out after him. It didn't matter that he was being carried to safety, she wanted her son. "Zykariel, help your sister and stop fooling around!" Sliding out of the door, she gaped at the scene before her and then shook her head. That wasn't good. Fishing through her bag for a jar, she leaped up and caught the piece of soul floating there, scribing a rune on the lid of the jar to keep it on and the soul captured. Setting the jar down, she dropped to Sevilin's side and sighed. She'd have to clean him up, there was no other help for it. It took her a moment to roll him out of his own pool of blood and she went to work, magically stopping his nosebleeds with energy transfers and such.

Nodding to his mother, his other selves all raced over to Faate at once and yelled, "Are you alright?!" They began to fight over which one was going to be able to help the girl and fistfights broke out between his various copies. Zykariel ignored them all and helped his sister to her feet then tugged her out of the room completely, the hoard of his copies following swiftly on his heels.

Faate stared at all the copies of her brother and took his hand, trying to fight her way through the crowd, kicking off hands that were grabbing at her. "Zykariel! Make them go away!" she yelled over to him.

He shook his head. "Don't know how! Just run."

She closed her eyes but kept going. "What do you mean you don't know how?! You created them, get rid of them!"

"Mom, they won't go away!" Yes, he sounded like a little kid again, whining to his mother about some older kids being mean but he had about fifteen of himself and they were all talking at once and driving him crazy. The sight of his father had him pulling up short and gaping for a moment before there was a large tearing sound and all his copies vanished. "...Dad?" No, not happy. Releasing his sister's hand, he fell to his knees and stared down at his father's face, attempting to swallow the large lump that had found it's way into his throat.

She skidded to a stop and then glanced down at the jar sitting beside her father's body. Assuming he was already dead, she wiped at her nose and walked over to the jar. "What's this?"

Without a whole lot of time to play, she didn't have a lot of time for questions either. "Zykariel, block as many of his wounds as you can. He cut himself a few places and I can't have him bleeding anymore than he already he is. That's a piece of his soul, Faate. Guard it with your life and don't under any circumstances open that jar unless I tell you otherwise. Got it?"

He sat there, dumbly, uncertain of what to do until his mother screamed at him again and he reached out, blocking one rather large puncture wound in his father's chest. "He's not...d-dead, is he?"

Her jaw tightened. "Not yet. But he will be if we don't move quickly." Her hands were moving over him so fast, murmuring spells under her breath. A violet ball began moving beneath his skin, shining as though he had a flashlight moving through his veins and healing him from the inside out. She was getting tired, but she pressed on. "Faate, I need your energy."

She sat down beside her mother and felt one hand placed on her chest before the blocks released and her power, recharged to almost full potential began to be drained as if her mother was drinking it through a straw. She saw the light get bigger and stronger, moving more and more quickly through her father's body and then splitting off so that there were three and four and then five, each blocking off individual capillaries and veins that had burst from overuse and too much power searing through them. She could hear her brother crying and reaching up she brushed her cheeks and realized she was crying as well. Hugging the jar tightly, she let her mother continue to suck off her energy, the only one of the three who hadn't shed a single tear. She just looked coldly determined though her skin was taking on a grayish pallor itself.

His hand shot up and wrapped around his wife's wrist, gripping tight enough to break it if he turned it the wrong way. He body was greedy for energy right now and even the little bit was more than enough to jolt him awake somewhat...but it didn't help the odd displacement feeling he was getting, probably from soul problems. "E-enough." Painfully propping himself up on an elbow and rolling slightly to the side to cough up some blood, not caring about the puddle he was in. "Don't t-touch me..." He hurt all over and was numb all at the same time. It was hell.
--
"Are you going to make me do all the work?" Shaking his head lightly. "I can't detect heat through rock unless it's really really strong like just now, I can't really tell you where to go."
--
Fianna fell back to the ground, coughing up some blood and holding her hands to her ears a moment, pulling her hands back blood as runics died down and faded, an odd calm settling over things. Oh Gods what version of that rune was that? Or how much had he put into it? Starting to not feel her fingers. A look over to her daughter who was still covetously holding Dhairiss with that feral look to her eyes..

She seemed to watch him a moment before that begruding look. "Deal." Couldn't beat them, join them...there were always others she could get to do her dirty work.
--

He paused where he was in the hallway, breathing hard and shaking his head as he leaned against the wall and slid down to sit on it, the kid in his lap resting against his chest. Taking a moment he looked the boy over somewhat. "Hang in there Kelli."

"Good."

before his attention moved to his wife. that would prove a problem. a look over at Fianna, bleeding ears. not good. okay so we had a few options, knock piper out, which would almost certainly prove easier said than done, or figure out some method to calm her down.

"Piper..the dangers all passed. Everything is alright, Dhairiss is going to be fine."

Or he'd better be.

"I need you to hand me our son, Piper. I'll keep him safe, we're going to get him all better."

Taking a few steps toward her, keeping himself as non threatening as was possible considering her circumstance, sheathing his sword and making slow movements, nothing to startle or spark a misinterpretation of motive.

"I'm just wondering if you can, and since you can't then well I'll do my best to find the others myself." And so off they went, again. This time Galesen retraced his steps all the way back to where they met Malikhai and Zykariel. Once there he went in the direction that the boys had gone and did his best to track them down the tunnels. It took him awhile though, without Mykorian's heat vision working anymore to their advantage Galesen sometimes stumbled across the same area a few times. So about close to twenty minutes later he happened to see a shape in the distance and when he got close he smiled when he saw Malikhai and Kelli. "Hey there..." He said and allowed Mykorian to get off of him, with a sigh of relief Galesen slowly leaned against the wall and sat down next to the blue elf. "At least the majority of this is over now..." Now it's time to heal, rest, and get the hell out of the damn place.

She wasn't anywhere near done but he was bruising her wrist and she knew if she kept going, he'd break it. She'd about used up all of her own and her daughter's energy and healed off the majority of it. The rest could be taken care of once they got his soul back into his body. She'd already moved him out of the puddle but now he was trying to make another one. Rolling her eyes, she reached out and sat him up, ignoring his command completely. "Shut up, Sevilin. I know exactly what's wrong with you. What I don't know, is how to fix it so you're going to have to dig deep inside that brain of yours and tell me how to reinstate a soul. You used to break bonds and such and you know more about souls than most. Now, swallow the pain and share."

"Stop yelling at him! Can't you see he's hurt? Gods, woman, get some compassion." Grabbing his mother's arms and yanking her off, then pushing her forcibly away from his father, not caring if she stumbled or smacked into anything. "Dad..." Watching him for a moment. No, things didn't look good. "You okay?"

He gave a faint whimper in protest and then just closed his eyes and let his head loll. It was hurting again and that feeling that things were being slowly drained was back as well. "Da-" trailing off and then whimpering again.

She got herself up and brushed herself off, not caring to hide her form now. Yes, very much the ethereal skinned pixie that her others had been, wings folded behind her though she was full height as any of the elves in the room rather than smaller as the others had been. Ugh the horrid direction of this all…

Ears twitched at the call of her name and eyes turned to Malik, watching him and listening to him at the same time. A step or two back at his advancing steps, watching him critically. Better judgement in her head told her that it was okay to hand over the boy…but the moment she pulled him away from herself to hand off to Malik, he seemed to struggle to stay with his mother and remain out of his father’s grip. Which meant she wasn’t going to let him go. He wasn’t fine in her opinion. He didn’t feel right to her and he was crying. If he was crying that meant something was seriously wrong. But it was easy to tell that by her looking back and forth from them all that feral instincts were trying to fight out common sense for her son. Which meant despite his crying, she loosely held onto him…if Malik wanted him, he was going to have to take him. Maternal instinct would let him try, feral response wouldn’t let her just hand him over though.

“Don’t say anything is over till you’re at home curled up in your bed. That’s just asking for something bad to happen.” Turning his attention back to Kel, who didn’t seem too bad off now…he at least looked somewhat better. Petting at the child, he pulled him close again. "Shh, it's okay Kelligrin. You'll see them in a little while okay? We gotta make sure you're safe first."

He sat up with another cough and trying to blink blood from his vision some more. "I don't know about souls...not something you really learn from my schooling." Honestly he didn't...he wasn't a soul popper by trade. But a hard look at his son, raising a hand and pointing a finger at him. "Don't manhandle your mother." Another cough and supporting himself still sitting by switching his weight to one hand. But his look softened somewhat to his son as he knew the boy didn't handle anything wrong with his father well. "I'll be fine...just drained..." Nodding toward his wife and daughter. "We need to get them and ourselves back with the others." Another cringe and cough as he moved to get himself off, despite how he probably shouldn't be moving. "I promise you girls can coddle me later..."

Galesen looked at Malikhai for a moment then closed his eyes and sighed, his shoulder throbs a dull pain now and his body just wanted to relax for a moment or so. So he did, his whole body just quietly calm down before he allowed the position he was in to take him fully into relaxation. But this only lasted for a few moments.Suddenly his eyes opened and he looked around, his senses were on high alert, he couldn't slack off for a second longer. But a look to the young child and he smiled. "At least he's alright." He looked at Kelli and his heart melted, poor little one but he is safe now that's for sure. But looking at the boy made him wish he had a son or a daughter, though only the Gods know when that'll happen.

Okay. nice and easy. and taking his son from his wife, despite his protests. after all, he was never as close to his youngest as piper was, and that...thing...using the imagery or him hurting his mother as a means to control him didn't help.

the a glance over at the winged creature.

"Now fix what you've done, and restore my wife fully, as per our bargain."
PostPosted: Sat Jan 26, 2008 10:08 pm

She kept herself from slamming into the wall since her son hadn't really been tempering his strength at that moment. Walking back over, she put a hand on her husband's chest and exerted just enough pressure to keep him from moving. "You stay put. We have your soul, we have you and we have Faate. Malikhai took off with Kelligrin." Glancing at Zykariel, "Link Malikhai. He's probably found his own parents by now and can lead them back to us. But your father isn't moving. If we have to go look for them ourselves and bring them back here, we'll do that."

He caught the linkstone, rather chagrined that his father had to yell at him when he hurt so badly. "Sorry Mom." It took him a moment since he was all fumbly and embarrassed from crying over his father. Rubbing at his eyes, he erased all traces of it and spoke into the linkstone, clearing his throat so he sounded like his normal self. "Malikhai. If you've found the others, bring them back to the hallway near the room we fought those things in. We've got my dad and he's not in good shape. Mom doesn't want him moved...and she wants to see Kelligrin, too."

He blinked at Malikhai for a moment and then got excited at the sound of his brother's voice. "Karel!" Tugging on Malikhai and pointed. "Kisses! Go bye bye!"

She visibly steeled herself as Malik took their boy from her and he proceeded to fuss all the more, and advanced step toward Malik and even more so once that thing walked closer two the two. Hand gripping lightly at air as if readying for an assult or to grab something.

A look to Piper. "She's not going to bite, is she?" Shaking her head lightly before a shimmer and change of her form back to that of Piper, plucking Dhairiss from his father's hold...which the child calmed. But she turned him away from her this time and tilted his head back. A tug on that thread she picked up and it glowed a moment before it wriggled somewhat, then dissolved...and the child proceeded to bawl. "There you go. The psychological damage if yours to reconcile." Holding him back out and catching Piper by the throat as she was lunged at. "Your turn." Thusly shifting forms back to what could be considered his original one. A matter of reaching into her own body and fetching that little piece of soul, pulling it out, showing Malik just to make sure he knew...and shoving it back into a struggling surface elf. "All better?"

"He'll be fine. Go find my parents would you? Take Mykorian with you, we don't need him alone." But his attention turned to the link stone in hand and he sighed lightly. "I haven't found my parents yet...I needed a rest. I did find Galesen and Mykorian thought." Shaking his head lightly. "I'll head back...but we need to be careful with him. He's got some kind of string in his mouth...I don't wanna tug on it." hushing Kelligrin somewhat and getting himself back up, heading back the way he came to the little group, baby in his hold.

Now he was annoyed. "Zahara I'm fine..." But she wasn't going to let him argue that was sure. Thusly he conceeded somewhat before reaching a hand over to rest on his son's back, rubbing lightly in that comforting manner that the boy was familiar with. And a look to his daughter as well. "Are you alright?"
PostPosted: Sat Jan 26, 2008 10:55 pm

She let out a derisive snort and would have decked him but he was a little too hurt to do that. "Shut up, Sevilin." Pressing him back down and then lightly running her fingers through his hair. She hated those situations when she almost lost him and her children too, for that matter. Lifting her arm, she nodded to Faate. "Come here, baby."

She'd been sitting off to the side, kind of uncertain but holding onto that jar tightly. At her mother's urging, she slid closer and let that comforting hand that she'd known since birth wrap around her. Careful not to touch her father, she just glanced down at him and nodded.

He let the information pass to his parents since they could all hear what his friend was saying and then moments later they saw him. "He's got a string in his mouth?" A glance at his sister to see if she did until she smacked him for being all up in her face and he sat back down and shrugged.

Malik watched, and took his son in hand and then pulled Piper away from the 'nell, handing their son to her, that should sooth her more than enough for now.

"Now we just have to deal with Kelligrin and Sevilin. and I'm sure you know the way, so we'll all move that way. nice and friendly. Fianna, stay by Piper."

before sending a message to Malikhai.

you did good work son. we're on our way to you with the leader of these things. she's agreed to fix the damage done and set everything in order in exchange for her continued existence.

Keeping a hand on his sword and ready for an act of treachery just in case.

"So. are you the strongest of your ilk, or just one of the upper caste?"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 27, 2008 2:57 pm

It seemed that the worse was over, even though almost everyone could account some wounds and whatnot. Still the threat of the 'nells had passed and now they could go on to clean their wounds and head home once everything was in order. So when Malikhai got ready to go Galesen got Mykorian back on his back and then took off with the blue elf and child toward the others. When they got to Sevilin, Zahara and their kids the older elf blinked as he looked down at the drow. He counted his own blessings that he didn't know runes right there and then but still Sevilin went all out and Galesen had some respect toward that, the man protected his family despite worrying about himself and that was honorable. "Hey guys." He said with a small smile as he set the half elf down. He wouldn't ask if they were alright, seemed they went through a lot. "Where are the others?"

He rolled his eyes but played nice and laid there, letting his body do as it wished to do...which was not a happy thing right now. He was merely concerned with the rest of his family as well. Faate was too quiet and Zykariel was feeling to be a wreck. And Zahara was doing that thing she did when she was worried but felt she had to be strong for the moment by being stoic.

A look to nowhere as the voice lit in his head and he grinned to the group that he was with. "Dad said he's coming with the ring leader adn she's going to fix everything." Handing Kelligrin to Zahara. "I wouldn't touch that string." He didn't rag his friend about crying though...he'd do the same thing honestly but merely shrugged to his friend. "I dunno what it does, but it's probably bad." Grinning at sibling antics before a look to Galesen and Mykorian. "They're coming."

Being set down, he hobbled/fell over closer to Faate, giving her a friendly grin. "Hey Faate, you're alright. Did you kick their butts like you kicked mine?" Moral it seemed needed to be here a little...despite how he wanted to chop his leg off.

Removing her belt from around her waist, she wrapped it tightly around her wrist to act as a sort of temporary splint for her broken ankle and thus stepped gingerly in her walking. But a nod to Malik and a wipe at still draining blood but she kept pace well enough, at least with Piper who was still calming down and thus was walking a rather good length of distance with her son in hand from the others. At least that wild look about the elf was starting to ebb.

A slight stumbly step back before she took hold of her son and tried her best to soothe his crying, even if it seemed he didn't want to stop crying at the moment for whatever resaon that he didn't want to. She didn't care, she just had her son back. Thusly following along at a 'safe' distance.

Begrudgingly if anything, she lead through corridors with no fuss back. She was tired and upset from being bested...but she was smug too. "If I didn't know, I wouldn't be down here." Slight sideglance at his question, "Depends on who you talk to. We're vain creatures and tribal like. Many are leaders...some of use take more initiative than others. Only the best can do as I...speak in this form and hold this size and what not." Thusly leading easily until they came upon the rest of the group that had once been seperated. A slight grin and laugh at the state of things. "Well...at least he got a good run."
