Eliot was used to people sneeaking up on her, that and the woman had a very strong odor she could smell ten minutes away. She turned her back on what the twins were doing and she turned with her hands at her sides, daggers at her wrists.

"He knows how to cloth and feed himself, after all most slaves are not born slaves but captured as such. taken from there lives and thrust into captivity. Along the same line with the obssession this culture has of caging birds. They die baron of their womb and soulless. When they are free they have the choice to live or die. I did not intend to force them into freedom after all. You must want freedom to gain it. Some people do prefer it living as a free person, and if that is their choice, who am I to say they are wrong? But I do know my father is keen on the idea of freedom."

She jumped for joy as hte imps finished releasing her father. she proceeded to forget all about the Woman and ran straight into her fathers arms. Her father, running ahead of her, caught her just byond the door entrance. he was a very quick man.

She gave a thumbs up to the imps from behind he father's back.

"Since of course, I came into power since his capture, I am to be blamed for his continued imprissonment." Dagger responded. She watched the scene with some jealousy. "At least you are lucky enough to find who you are looking for, me, I am simply lost..." She paused, "So the imps enjoy fun do they, too bad the missed out on the real excitement." She purred rather suductively.

"Do you know who I am?" The woman asked after watching the scene for another moment.

Eliot released her father. He did not speak but simply massaged his lips, the were torn and bloddy. He growled his affections and thanx in apitch to low for human ears. Her own eyes swam wth tears. Her gaurd came up.

"No, i do not know who you are. Nor at this point do I care unless you inted onstopping me...then obviously i do care. But I am srtonger than I loook, I am no child. And I intend on living for some time yet."

She watched the woman's eyes. They had played on the Imps for a time and on her father now.

"Why do you look at him so?"
PostPosted: Wed Oct 12, 2005 6:09 pm

A slight grin.

"I don't rely totally on him...we're just bound together. part of the price you pay for wielding his gifts. Hmm. A drow from this plane that doesn't care for Lloth? I am suprised. youa re bound by chaos and I by hate, though not in teh degree the respective dieties would enjoy."

Though a look at Jiscal with some disdain..enemies or not..he was a human addressing a superior being with orders. and a glance back at Tarathiel.

"At least your replacement knows not to keep what should never have been caged. As for bribing dwarves, all I know is that they love metal and jewels. particularly gold, I beleive. You have that in abundance, Captian?"

Then a more thoughtful look.

"I might have a trinket or two in lower vaults. but of course my help in the matter comes at a price."

"My mother was a slave." She said calmly, "So to was my grandfather, but he is not here nor anywhere else in the castle." Looking at the small woman, "You are not less threatening than I, to barge around this castle without being stopped at every corner by guards or knights. Did you know that if you left him where he was, he probably would be better off than stealing him now. If you simply take him and go, you will not find out what Jiscal was planing for the slaves, slaves the nation can no longer allow to live as such. You think that all kings are the same, but I have news for you, child. They are not." Dagger tilted her head, "Now, I am not going to stop you, I doubt that I could keep you here, but in the state he is in, your father would not fare well if all the castle guardsmen came charging down these stairs. How many kobolds could you kill before you tire, how many walls can you breach before everything swarms around you? Did you think about the consequences of your actions beyond the desired freedom?"

"Did you stop to think that Jiscal, King Jiscal would stoop the level of his predocessor, who I might point out, died a violent death because his slaves abandoned him?" Dagger walked towards the young woman, "Do you think Jiscal wants to keep these people locked away in these cells, roting for no reason other than they were conquered or imprissioned for being who they were?"

"My sweet dear, you do not know this noble's heart. He watched his family's wealth dwindle because some ignorant fool waged fruitless wars, he watched his family's honour destroyed by ignorant kings, he watched his people suffer in the ghettoes because no one could feed them... Jiscal has a plan, but it cannot be implimented until the nobles, the men with money, agree to it."

"The world is not terms that can be defined, it is a mess. Especially since the collapse of the internal defense of the city. Should a roming band of goblins lay seige to the outer towns, we probably could not fight them off. The professional army is gone, we have a few elite guards? Can we trust that the slaves will not revolt? What do you think?"

Tarathiel saw something he liked in Malik, but would probably never admit out loud. "But Malik, I am chaos-"

"Shut it Captian. I cannot aford these impudent person vendettas. Gold, Ha, I have yet to find anything of any real value in this entire castle. I cannot claim any of the gold on Tarathiel's ship without causing him to strike me down. So no. I have nothing to offer the dwarves. The Fallen really wanted you dead, Malik, and used every ounce of his fortune to find ways. His own stupidity lead to the destruction of the Tower, and worse, the most valuable or relics were sold to them. The Captian could not leave the tower standing because they would support Fallen should he call for their help. Thus, they were destroyed quietly." The ruble was ddays old whe n the kingdom found out about the slaughter.

"My brand of chaos covers all angles."

"This is no time for jokes Captian." Jiscal challenged the drow captian. "We need unity and we need an army."

"Even without the Seer, you know what will happen." Tarathiel commented, a poke at Malik's lack of forsight.

"As for your vault, what on earth could I give you in exchange?" Jiscal asked rather harshly, "The farms, the fields, your own Princedom."

"That isn't such a bad idea, trading Malik what he can almost claim." Tarathiel smirked. He hadn't drawn a weapon yet. Strange, someone more yerning for a fight than even he.

"Real excitement? Oh tell us, what did we miss?" Jell peeked out from behind Eliot's father. "We create excitement werever we go."

"We are always having fun."

"To true."

"Ra-ther." He snapped his fingeres in frn to his face. the kaughed, "hey, were you there for the food fight? Wasn't that just great!"

Jell gigled, blushing. "I saw up a ladies petticoat."

Jaun sang, "Petter Bird, Petter Bird, Petter Bird was he, lifted up her petticoats and..." Jell samkced him in the head.

"That songs not apropriate Jaun! This place is pg-13!"

"Oh yeah..." he went silent starred off in the distannce. Then spoke in a slightly lower voice. "Today in Labyrinth, you almost heard me, Jaun, say a naughty word. Naughty words are bad. And we delt with the situation poorly." He smiled, turned back to his brother. "better?"

"Much."

Aella didn;t understand much of the politics beyond the fact that Deep Water was too poor to feed its people amd recruit an army. And should a fight break out between Taratheil and Malik, she would not be needed and perhaps be a hinderence. She tapped teh captain on the shoulder. "Captain, if I am not needed, I have a friend who needs to stop worrying about me." Without waiting for an answer, she asked of Malik: "Can I ask you for quardinates to the place Onyx is staying, or am I going to have to find the winged feline by myself?"

Kieran was at this point pacing the floors. When his daughter ran, he hadn't been this worried about it. But now...now he knew what she was getting herself into, knew that this was indeed a trap of this fellow Terran Gale. Malik of course was right about it, and Kieran knew that too...Piper was indeed leaping before she looked once again. His fingers drummed on his shoulder, blue tinted fingertips moving in fast sucession of one another. When Kieran was feeling anything but calm, he usually drummed his fingers.

Just a little farther Silverfeather, and by Corellon you better be ready Ravenwing. After all, Terran only had one shot at this and he didn't intend to waste it, thier track turned and sloped down into what could be called a little ravine. Any moment...hit the mark and then spring into action thereafter.

Her hold tightened on her arrow and as thier path turned and sloped, she raised her bow and stressed the string, takign sights along her arrow. This was far enough and ending now, Terran Gale, would give her her answers whether he liked it or not.

Eloit assumed thta mena tshe to, was a slave.

"And I am expected to trust you? on your word? I do not trust words I trust smells. And you smell manipulative, and coniving. I have recenlt spoke to the king, he was not interested in the well being of the slaves and smelt as such. Look what has been done to my father! He does not show his compassion!"

Eliot knew the woman was right, her father needed to heal, even as a wolf he would not last long.

"This King, was not interested. He knew my heart, and made no move to ease it."

She was in tears, but she did not cry. 'I have been in and out of the palace several times now, I have never been stopped. My father and I will get out, by the same means. You are correct to assume I do not know this mans heart but he does nothing to show his intentions as just." eliots tears had stopped and she spoke quietlty.

" cannot sit by and do nothing, my father raised more than just a huntress. If you need the "nobles" to listen, then perhaps this will open their ears!"

Eliot turned and spoke to her father in her native tongue.

"Father I am happy once more. but I am At a loss I do not know what to do. I am so confused. I'm tired of being called a child and feeling as such."

Her fathers own voice was raspy from disuse, "We have no family to go to, other packs have been scattered and slaughtered. There is no where to go Eliot but here. I need to recooperate. We both have wounds that need healing, physical and emotional. We cannot do much by ourselves. But i do not agree we should remain in the palace."

Eliot turned back to the woman. "The best place for him is above ground. I need to get him out. I do not care abou tthis king. Mine community was destroyed. Let his crumble, and maybe these nobles will finally release there own.." She then recieved a growl from her father witch meant "Mind your tongue!"

Eliot clipper her voice short. she took hold of her fathers hadn, nd proceded to walk away.

"Maniplitive, yes. I had to be. Otherwise my mother would go unavenged." Dagger said calmly, "I guess you were once a local tribe, caputed and beaten by Dimitri's kingship, or maybe before that. My mother was enslaved for being born an elf."

"Special, are you going away now?" Tarathiel asked rather calmly, as though he had not been talking to Malik at all.

She smiled. "I'm not leaving perminatly. I'll be back. I ahve an Oracle to look after and a captain to repay, after all." SHe jingled her staff. "I did promiss I would seek Onyx out and tell him that I am alright. If he's been looking for me, than I own him that much."
PostPosted: Wed Oct 12, 2005 7:05 pm

"Is that something I should have told you? I just thought it was an annoyance... And I was thinking of baiting him into a fight. He has some spirit, but I am still not sure he would gain me any experience. His style seems to be generic brute." Tarathiel admited, though he did recall he might have mentioned that to her..

"Right, when I gave you the cloak that would shield you from his prying eyes..."

"Simple, Jiscal. a few trinkets..in exchange for knowledge, which is invaluable...and I want to see the damned Oracle. the knowledge part, is I want access to the layout of this city as it stands. I want to know trade routes and supply lines, and I want to know whom are teh most powerful people in this city and what thier interests are. in exchange, I help your kingdom stay yours from teh dwarves that coudl easily overrun it in it's present state."

A slight grin, and a look to Tarathiel.

"That sounds likea fair deal, doesn't it? I only need to see teh Oracle for maybe five minutes, max. just long enough to verify Piper is doing something stupid."

Eliot stopped and tunred around to the woman.

"We were not at all local. My family was killed or inslaved simply because we were not conquared, or submissive."

She turned and walked away down the dark tunnel with her father.

Dagger followed the girl, "Would you at least allow me to offer you a meal before you run off into the city, where food is scarce?"

Jiscal laughed. "Trade, with who?" His chuckled died quickly though, "Because if you know someone who wants something we have, that would be a treat."

Tarathiel joined in Jiscal's mirth. "He has a point, where would caravans go to in these dark areas? I saw merchants with products as far inland as that wooded area, and nothing of any of the surronding civilizations... That I may or may not have left in ruins."

"And I forsee one problem with your desire to speak to Meilikki, she isn't awake. Nor is she coherrient enough to say anything more than 'Doom'." Tarathiel partially lied. She seemed to be quiet unconsious at the moment. "She was tortured you know, which means she'll need to recover. Some wounds of the mind cannot be healed so easily as curative spell from my Warhammer."

"The lay out of the city is the same as before, I guesss you had that much information as even the lowlyest begger of Lostagrace knows that. But, we have a small sliver through all of the buildings and walls that habe been fortifide as a Dwarven stronghold. The foundations of their walled complex out match the walls of this castle. what is inside them I do not know, for the dwarves are not for telling me. They still feel the whips of Fallen on their backs."
