"So you can fix this?" She hugs Stephen's arm.
---
"Iii'm thinking."
---
He lifts his foot and slams it into Nat's back. "Don't even think it or you'll be strung back up with gold needles this time."

"Oh good. Good." She sniffle.
Stephen turns to hug her and looks over her head at Angie. "..I thought maybe we could have some sandwiches?"
---
"Okay, I forgive you!"
---
"Good crow. Lindsey will see to you." He kicks Nat again then leaves.

"No, I thought I'd make it."
Martha looks up and wipes her eyes. She smiles slightly. "Hi, Jed."
---
She grins. "I know."
---
Once Byron is gone Lindsey creeps over. He sets the soup and water on the floor, then reaches to help Nat sit up and prop his back against a wall.

"I threw some food together if that's all right. I couldn't find Richard at all."
--
He rolls over and draws a circle in the sand.
--
Nat blinks groggily at Lindsey.

---
She leans forward. "What are you doing?"
---
Lindsey wraps the blanket around Nat then pulls over the soup. He holds a spoonful out to Nat. "Open your mouth, sir."

Martha frowns at Angie then at Stephen. "You better be quick." She kisses him quickly then follows Jed.
---
"You're drawing something."

"It will help warm you, sir."

Angie folds her arms and frowns at her feet.

Inside, Jed leads Martha to the kitchen where there are some cold meat sandwiches, some chicken, bacon, sausage, and a small salad. "Is this all right? We have tea. Or lemonade."
--
"It's just a circle."
--
He shakes his head again. "..No."

---
Her eyes widen as she looks at the food. "This is wonderful. Could I have some tea?"
---
"A very nice circle."
---
"Please sir. You need to regain your strength."

"I hope it isn't going to be like that during her entire visit." She gives him a look.
--
"Certainly. Help yourself!" He goes to pour some tea!
--
He laughs. "I guess."
--
"Djinn." He wonders if this could be misinterpreted as gin. He thinks that would be okay.

"I'll talk to her. I mean, that's why I invited her. I wanted to prove everything was managable."
---
"Thank you." She sits and picks out a sandwich.

"Draw a heart."

"What about the djinn?"

He returns and hands her a glass of tea. "Here you are."
--
He nods and draws a big ol' heart.
--
He swallows. "I want to see him."

---
"Thank you again. You've been very kind."

She grins. "Yay!"

"If you eat the soup I will bring you there."
