Well, let's look at it from his point of view..at least my version of his point of view...not taking into consideration that I know nothing about him but...anyway.
The woman next to him he loves very much #1 Doesn't want to wake her up...because generally disturbing something so beautiful and peaceful from sleep is like...uhh...painting "Michalangio Sucks Balls" over the painting in the Sistine Chapel.
#2....he's in a dogged daze from just waking up from a bad sleep. He can't think...IE: Most men are morons when inbetween sleep and waking. We forget things and don't realise small things like writing a note saying that you're going home. He probably didn't take into consideration that he would be throttled the next day because his woman thought he up and left and was a sign of the most horrible and unthinkable thing EVAR!....he just wanted to go home was all...*tear*
