man... it's almost impossible to tell an ALT from a regular with the blacks... the vines it's more obvious, but the blacks? near impossible!

I second that. 3nodding Poor Willa was going crossed eyed trying to help me figure out if my current rescued black egg was an alternate or not... sweatdrop I don't think it is but there is always hope... xd
I see three alternate vine eggs in Willa's post. Midori's, Safire's, and Arctic's. I am sorry, Kay, but your egg is not dark enough to be an alternate vine.

My comp just doesn't have great resolution to help me distinguish in the subtle green tonal differences in the vine/plant vs. alt eggs. The only factor that I see differently in the eggs are the dark shadows (lower right quadrant) on the eggs. With that, I also agree with Kimmi's choices ... Arctic's, Midori's and Safire's eggs have darker shadows.
But I could be wrong... wouldn't be the first time. xp
