Zykariel glanced at his father for a moment, then back to his uncle and over to his best friend, trying to figure out just what he was supposed to do. If Malikhai was going to do it, then by the gods so was Zykariel. It didn't matter that he was scared, his family was at risk here. But he had a feeling that there was something that Malik wasn't considering, something that could potentially only reinforce for his sister and baby brother that their kidnappers were in fact the roles they were playing. Shaking his head again, he stepped forward and reached out a tentative hand. "Dad, if it'll help, I'll do it."

Lyssie didn't like this one bit but she could tell that Daddy was busy at the moment and so she was simply clung to him and nodded tearfully. Uncle Malik wouldn't be that mean anyway, right?

Zahara listened to Piper for a moment and very clearly followed her line of reasoning. "Because Malikhai is the valuable one. His heir..." Poor Piper. Malikhai looked like Malik whereas Dhairiss favored more of the surface elf coloring of Piper and bore a striking resemblance to Kieran even in his young age. Wrapping an arm around her friend's shoulders, she attempted to comfort her. "Malik is a military minded man, Piper. You knew that when you married him. And trust me, it doesn't matter how many more you could have or how many others you do have, it still hurts. That child is special in his or her own way. A copy can't be made and if something happens to them, there's just no getting them back. Look at all of mine, they're all different. It still amazes me how different their personalities are even though they come from the same two elves." Lightly stroking her fingers through Piper's hair now. "But nothing will happen to Dhairiss, Piper. We'll get him back and pretty soon this will all just be a horrendous reverie."

--

Faate continued with her studies, attempting the more advanced runes but not getting very far with it. She simply couldn't do it without help and she couldn't have help on this test. Turning back the pages slightly, she started playing with elemental combinations to keep the sparks flying and entertain her brother who was sitting on his father's lap once again, clapping and chattering happily. She knew better than to stop. Daddy would tell her when she'd done enough.

Galesen didn't say anything for a moment, he was checking his internal clock to see how long the others were taking. Sighing he turned back to Barhnel. "Barhnel take off for a bit, the others are taking a bit longer than I expect but stay close by." And so off when his horse without another word. A look back to the boy and he raised an eyebrow. "Maybe but I think Malik has it this big to give off the presence of fear in his enemies, he can be a scary guy if one happens to piss him off. And by word of mouth of what he can actually do throw in a big fortress and you got a evil drow image that no one wants to mess with." Well except for the people who elf-napped his child and Sevilin's.

"Yeah if you ever need to leave and then come back again I can give you a better map if you want." A small shrug before he gave a light nod to the boy. "That's good, I didn't think a guy with your skill would have a tough time against some of the creatures around here. But don't worry after awhile you'll get use to them." A pause as he looked toward the stables before he turned back to the half elf. "Come on lets get you inside, no need to stand around here, though you did come at a bad time right now. There is no need to worry though Malik and the rest of us will make sure you situate yourself in here just fine." So off toward the main doors again, though Galesen was glad at least he wouldn't find them locked this time around.

"I didn't say use me specifically in this manner. If you have another farfetched or horror of an idea that you didn't want to use before then go with that. And I don't trust these bond tactics...if the women can feel them but not no where they are, then what makes you think you can make anyone else pick up the location? They're still all children their connections to each other are still weak...I just don't see the need to sacrifice one for the other." Thusly gently grasping Zykariel's wrist to keep him from grabbing at that sword. No, he was not going to let his son fall victim to what still went on in the boy's head up to this day. Sevilin had lived in an insane calm manner for years and he knew what one looked like when they were constantly holding something bad...and he knew exactly what his son was keeping locked away from his childhood.

He blinked at the others in his company, not quite sure why Sevilin was so adamant about touching this sword. They all knew that Malik wouldn't hurt the boys...right? And even if he did mentally thrash them so bad that they more or less broke down...he'd be there to soothe them right? Dad had always been there to make him feel better when he was in direct chain reaction to what had happened, he'd done it since he was little. Dad still did it now sometimes...especially those times where he didn't want to look like a baby in front of his mother. "Everything is worth a try." Thusly grasping the hilt of his father's sword and steeling his stance, giving a nod to Malik, gripping harder to keep his hand from shaking.

She tried to pretend she didn't want the comfort by being stoic to it, well as best she could. Drawing upon that drow complex everyone said she had, using it to tie back the mother and let the strategic lessons and tactics that Malik had taught her over the years to be first and foremost in her head. Rather angrily she rubbed at her eyes with the heel of her hand. Not tears, just dirt in the eyes. "Your kids still confuse me...I think it's what humans call 'karma' repaying you both for the hell you two went through. And Dhairiss is so different as well...like he never worries about anything bad ever happening. And I just worry about him and Malik..." Shaking her head lightly. "Why aren't you with Sevilin?"

"They don't talk of him on the surface. I'd never really heard of him before tournament." Adjusting his bag some over his shoulder before a light smile and a nod of his head to Galesen. "I'd appreciate that, I think I took the long way. The long dangerous way. But I got out with all of me, so that's good." So then he was on to being pushed inside with a curious blink. "What do you mean bad time?" Crap.

--

He watched the display in analytical fashion, his gaze perhaps lacking some of the childlike joy that Sevilin had when he runed, but that made since in this case since she was being quizzed and a teacher always kept a poker face on. She was good for her age, precsise and studious as well as a very powerful girl. All that potent magic potential in her veins and just waiting to be used in the right way. Straightening in his chair and petting at the toddler's hair he gave Faate a small smile and a nod. "Very good, that's enough. How do you feel?"

Malik glanced at sevilin...then at his son gripping the hilt.

"Change of plans. Sevilin, let that boy hold the blade. no personal torment for them. educational experience, that should rebound to the others. hell, if you want, you can hold it too if it'll make you feel better. We're going to Kithicor."

a slight grin at his son.

"when you were little, you used to wonder about the nature of a diety. I'm going to show you what Innoruuk did at Kithicor. of course, that was after the events, but, Malvolence holds many secrets of others. you're going to see me at my worst. let emotions flow."

before a glance to sevilin.

"I think they prepared for us. to make sure we couldn't zero in. I'm hoping that the sudden jump in the relative level of sensitivity to thier siblings will give us a better method."

Zykariel glanced between the two adults and then his friend, imagining that he was fretting to keep him from actually doing so. Dad didn't want him touching the sword, Uncle Malik did. What was he supposed to do? And Kithcor? Wasn't that what that lunatic at the tournament had been going on and on about? How Malik was such a monster and did all those things? Heinous things if his memory was serving him correctly and it usually did. Hesitating a moment, he reached out to the sword once again, grasping the hilt lightly just in case his father went nuclear.

Zahara knew what Piper was trying to do but she also knew that Piper needed the comfort and she refused to move her arms from around her friend. "Probably. We have bundles of joy for sure. You have your own and as long as they are secure in your love, you should be fine." After all, her oldest son still wasn't secure in hers in his mind and he'd turned out fine. Shaking her head and lightly running her fingers through Piper's hair. "Because Malik's insistence that there's nothing he can do right now made me want to plow my fist in his face. I thought you might object to me knocking out a few of his teeth, so I came out here instead."

Lyssie wasn't about to be left out of the party and she turned and looked at Malik then at her own father who was close enough to the sword for her to reach out and grab it too. "I wanna help."

--
He babbled to his father about the fun sparks, happy as could be to sit in his lap and watch. Clapping his hands so sissy knew just how good she was, he carefully drank the rest of his juice and then leaned back with a yawn.

Faate stopped when he told her to and settled back in her chair with a sigh. Rubbing her neck, she glanced at the agent, that was still smeared on the table. But frowning, she shook her head. Daddy always wanted her to tell the truth. "Frustrated. I still can't get that shatter and remake chain and it doesn't matter how many times I do it, it doesn't turn out right...." And that was supposed to be something she could do by now. It was in the beginning of her level of the textbook...

Like that was going to make him any happier? He knew somewhat about Kithicor and it wasn't any better...though he supposed it was better than personal mental anguish. The barest of a frown betrayed his inner feelings on the whole matter, even as his son decided he still wanted to keep at this despite the warning. But his attention was drawn to the little girl he still held as she wanted to be in on the action too. In that same father like manner he gribbed her hand and pulled it off the sword....Zykariel may be able to handle things, but he knew Lyssie was far too young. In the same motion a rune was quick scribed to his son's shoulder, pulling off a leader energy thread and handing to to Lyssie. "You can help this way..." The kids knew what it was about, his kids at least. But a begruding look to Malik with a nod.

Well he dare say he was a tad relieved...which as short lived as he was told the new subject...and dad said it with a grin of the sorts that Malikhai wasn't too familiar with. He hardly thought now was a good time to answer questions from his younger years...but if it helped his little brother...hm, he dare say he was starting to shake in his boots a little. But he merely swallowed down the feeling that had crawled up his throat and nodded, gripping harder to where his knuckles paled some.

"Maybe loosing a few teeth would do him good at the moment. He'd just get a necromancer or something to put them back in." Shaking her head lightly as she tried to remain as stoic as possible and keep it together. Malik could never focus when she was upset and with something like this...well she guessed that he would be more annoyed with his attention deviated...didn't make her want it any less...but that was how things were. "The scary part is...who knows what they're doing in the guise of parents." Dropping her face to her hands again as she propped her elbows on her knees, determined to hold it in. "There has to be a way to find them...no one can do anything without leaving something behind. It's impossible..."

--
He continued to pet through the child's hair, grinning somewhat as he noted it was started to slip into reverie again. Well good. Thusly his attention turned back to the girl. "It seems that maybe, you're doing it too fast...fumbling your own fingers." He was no Andalian runer...but some things were common sense adn observation.

Glancing at Sevilin.

"If you'd prefer not to participate, get piper, zahara, and galesen. have him take you to where he saw them. use your runes, let piper do her scouting. if we know the place, we'll get Fianna to come and help search. the Fier'dal have always made excellent scouts, and both of you can use runes to aid. she may have some tricks you don't."

looking at the boys.

"If your both ready, you'll see Bloody Kithicor. if anything frightens you, if any image bothers you, send it out. I want your siblings to wonder where it's coming from, and why. then I want them to wonder why their parent's aren't reacting. Do you understand?"
PostPosted: Tue Jan 01, 2008 12:49 pm

She was about to fuss when her hand was removed but that quieted when Daddy fully intended to let her help just not get the full effects. Basically everything would pass from Kariel's head, it would be filtered and then pass to her. Daddy was controlling the images that would filter through so she wouldn't see anything too horrendous or that might give her horrible reveries and more fear than she needed. Of course she didn't know the particulars in regards to that, simply that it was okay to grasp the thread and nod. " 'Kay."

Zykariel knew all the particulars and glanced at his father for a moment. So Dad would see everything that they were...lovely. He wasn't quite sure what to expect. They'd all heard about Bloody Kithicor but it was more of a horror story when they were small children than a glorified fairy tale or anything else. Swallowing down the unease, he nodded. It was time...

"He'd have retaliated right then and then Sevilin would have had to go against his employer. It's easier to just let it lie and come out here where I feel comfortable." Zahara didn't quite realize what Piper was trying to do since she'd never attempted to monitor her bond feelings. The saying 'when mom isn't happy no one is' took on new meaning in the Inthara household. Nodding, she turned Piper and pulled her chin up to look at her. "Listen to me, Piper. You can't think that way, it's only going to do more damage than has already been done. They're just holding them for ransom. D'vinn's are wealthy and they know Sevilin works for Malik. He's lost his son and a valuable employee right now. They can't do anything to them or they won't get paid. Neither Malik nor Sevilin are stupid. They'll contact us, demand a payment and we'll get them back. Alright?"

--
She studied her fingers for a moment and then the rune she'd last scribed and nodded. "Could be that. I'll practice it a little more and try again, later. Right now I'm kinda tired so I'm just going to study for the rest of my lesson time, okay?"

"No they don't talk, but they do. You just need to listen and sometimes you'll hear about him." Well he knew people talk about Malik, after all him being the elf that he is he could go anywhere without being suspected of being apart of Malik's house, so he has heard people speaking of the drow before. Though a smile at the half elf. "Yeah really there is no real short way, there are paths but sometimes you need to make your own or a horse would be good." So inside they went and Galesen took the elf to the dining hall. When they sat down he ordered a drink for him and allowed the kid to get whatever he wanted. "Right now that is nothing to worry about, you are in no danger so everything is fine. You're gonna be here for awhile training, you'll need to know how to get around here and whatnot so just focus on that." No need to bug the elf about the kids being kidnapped right now, he'll find out in due time.

Broog marched himself up the steps. the massive ogre, usually dressed in casual clothing and with he jeweling gadget attached to his head, was entirely differently dressed. he was dressed in platemail, from neck to feed, and in one hand he held a very, very nasty looking hammer. Broog might be considered almost a family 'pet' for all his intelligence, but even a pet knows when it's time to protect it's owners.

Broog went to the dining room, and saw someone he didn't recognize. his little brain surmised that the unknown person was a bad person. Malik's past made it easy to know about things like someone being sent with notes, ultimatums, and what not. or payments. So Broog marched over, picked up the unknown person and held them in the air at his eye level.

"Who joo. Joo hab da udders? joo give broog da udders or broog pummel you till Broog sure you squished. if joo hand'um, broog only smash you until you a little squished."

Malik gave a slight smirk. fear was always good. before letting Malvolence transfer Kithicor.

The army of Lanys marched through Kithicor forest, the ancient forest seemed to disregard them. the last remnants of the halfing resistance were being butchered, thrown on fires. except the ones around Malik. he implaed them on the sword, grinning lightly, his eyes glowing red. the bodies shriveled into mummified husks as Malvolence devoured them.

a large contingent moved ahead, to capture Highpass Hold, up in teh mountain pass between Kithicor and the Karana Plains. Malik paced, swinging the blade...when arrows came. arrows followed by human, and elven forces. Highpass, far in the distance, was smoking. obviously this group was sent to stop Tier'dal reinforcements.

Malik's eyes lit with fire, and battle was joined. malik butchered anyone in his way, friend to foe. tearing out internal organs through slashes, beating people to death the the plated arms of thier fellows, using heads as throwign weapons, strangling man and elf with thier own intestinal tracks. all the while with a maddened, bloodlusting smirk or grin and the blade glowing brightly.

the first waves were repelled. and Malik, while waiting for the enevitable second wave, and cheering his men around him on to greater debauchery, started to decorate around his base camp with the bodies of fallen. decorating trees like christmas, storing parts in jars for pickling, cooking other remains and eatting them off th bone.

the second and third contingents came together, using numbers to their advantage. Malik fought as he did the day before. anyone, no matter race or creed, that was before him fell. Until he faced Rainmare. thier epic though ultimately small encounter and battle rocked through Kithicor, even as the battle in Highpass turned on the Tier'dal as well.

Malik fell. And as he did, a bright red flaming light torn into the sky at Highpass. Rainamre turned toward it, and called for retreat as fast as possible. the skies darkened. a tear formed int eh heavens, spilling forth red and black energies like octopus tentacles.

On Highpass descended the Prince of Hate himself, Innoruuk. he looked as a haggard, bent elf, though his nose was large and beaked and skin leathered and wrinkled. his eyes burned like fire, and what few wisps of hair left blew about.

He picked up a body from Highpass, a woman. then he turned his atttention to the feeling forces, and thier pursuers in Kithicor. he gave a thunderous roaring sound, showing crooked and fanged teeth, and waved his hand in a motion one might use to scattered game pieces from the board.

the energy ripped through Kithicor forest, and destroyed everyone in it. only a few of Rainmare's forces made it. a handful at best, turning back to see those that had been steps behind them splatter like bugs against glass, or instantly mummify with horrible expressions left on thier faces.

Flesh was eaten, swallowed by the hungry ground. Innoruuk said something, though all that mortal ears heard was some kind of longing howl, before he departed back into his plane of existance, taking the woman's body with him.

the forces of Light had won at Highpass. the cost however...would truly be seen after nightfall. during the day, Kithicor Forest is as it always was. the halflings harvest it, and children play in it. But once night falls...it belongs to the dead. those that were caught in Kithicor and Innoruuk's hate, rise from teh ground, thier ruined bodies and armor seeking the living. only a few retain any semblance of who they were, and they spend thier time replaying Bloody Kithicor, and reliving thier own horrible deaths at sunrise.

How could you talk without talking? Okay, that was weird. "Hear about him in what manner? The unfavorable or favorable one? After all if they don't talk but talk then it must be things they don't want others to hear too often." Shrugging lightly as he followed Galesen inside and apparently they were just going to wait at the big expensive table...things were so lavish in here. "Memorize where I'm allowed to go hm? I can do tha-" Cut short as he was suddenly yanked up from his seat.

Eyes widened as he was met face to face with something he'd never seen before. He didn't know what it was, but he sure did know that he wanted nothing to do with it...and apparently wanted to smash him. No matter what it wanted to smash him. "I-I didn't do anything! I don't have an-anybody!" Kicking and struggling in the air trying to get away. Oh hell what had he gotten himself into now?!

If there was one thing that probably should of been approached in more delicate manner between father and son in a one on one and properly prepared for way....this was it. It wasn't the raw ravages of battle that bothered him, it wasn't the hate displayed by those there, it wasn't Rainmare, it wasn't the wrath of a God in his ire of losing battle, or the results of thereafter...it was his father that brought on the feelings the boy was jolted to. His father, Malik D'vinn, in the eyes of his son could do no wrong that was not justified in some manner, shape, or form. Some reason that when you broke it down did make sense in at least one way. But this...there was nothing. Just the image of this ravaging warlord in the guise of his father, blood drunken on the spoils of his razing of those around him.

The emotions read right on his face too as his hand held tight to the sword hilt, unable to let go of it because he was gripping so hard to stay in his stance with it all. It was...horrifying was a good word. Perhaps personally bringing up his own fears would of been less effective than showing him this in his unprepared manner and how his father had even approached it with somesort of...pride to it perhaps. He was feeling like a three year old again in the face of a venomous snake who could quite kill him with one move...and he wanted his mommy.

Sevilin had to at least admit that Malik showing his son such a thing was...admirable in a twisted way. They all had pasts they'd rather not thier children know about and it took a bit of courage to be real with them about who their parents were or used to be. Sevilin...had yet to throw his own son a bone of any sorts. But he merely monitored his son, resting a hand on the boy's shoulder so he knew he was still right there and on the other hand was sheilding most of the sights from Lyssie...she got the gist that there was fighting, but that was about it. None of the bloody details and gore and Malik...didn't need to frighten her out of her skin.

--
He gave another round of upset noises and his hands flew to his head as there was a sudden more sense of unpleasantness coming from somewhere...from his brother maybe? Or was it from mommy? Mommy had just gotten hurt...when she was upset she made rocks...but it wasn't quite mommy...or maybe. Dhairiss gave a cry of frustration over the mixed signals he was getting before he latched to his mother, buring his face into her shoulder as she attempted to soothe him. "Mommy make stop!"

"Very well...practice makes perfect after all." Nodding to the girl before he looked to a direction of no particular importance to her or the toddler in his lap, but to him it meant something. Now what was the little pale one more or less freaking out? There was no reason for it to be doing so. A frown as mental messages pinged back and forth...they must be up and aware of what was going on. His eyes turned to the two in his charge seeing what would happen on his end...and sending preparation messages for if things did sour.
--

"Malik can forgive such things in the light that those who offend are still valuable in their own right. And they've clashed before." More or less talking at the floor before Zahara pulled her gaze up. "I can only hope it's that simple...but even being so, I can't help but worry. I want him back, safe in my arms and-" Suddenly cut off it seemed as alarms went off all over the place...or more pointedly to both her sons. One felt like he thought he was about to die from something and the younger one was rebounding off the discomfort...it was a horrifyign feeling for Piper...she could feel them both but only knew where one was. "What is he doing?!" Thusly up for her, that motherly instinct kicking in and it was a quick sprint back to the house...and she couldn't really believe what she was seeing...were they doing what she thought they were doing?! "Malik! Stop it!"

Zykariel was sickened. Rainmare's attempts to bring about justice took on new meaning now and he suddenly felt the other elf had been completely justified in his need to fight Malik, possibly even kill him. Fighting wasn't a big deal, wars happened and elves and humans died. History had taught him that. But he almost didn't even recognize his uncle throughout the whole spiel and the man that he admired was steadily losing everything that made him great in the teenager's eyes. He was nothing more than a heartless, cruel monster.

Lambasted with images, Zykariel felt years of his life draining away. He was too young to handle this and he was caught between burying his face in his father's tunic and begging him to get rid of the images that were now burned into his memory. He'd reverie this...again and again. Always reminded of the Malik who killed without mercy and had no heart. His first thought...did his Aunt know? Was she safe? Was there any vestige of that b*****d left? Would he one day turn on his family? Was mercy beneath him? The images didn't reconcile with the uncle who had made pirate illusions and gone to great lengths to bury treasure for them when they were boys. He was confused, his legs unsteady, his eyes open in horror. Releasing the blade at his aunt's cry and stumbled back into his father. A loud shatter broke the silence and he realized with some chagrin, he'd just broken all of his aunt's dishes...

Lyssie was feeding off of Zykariel's discomfort and fear and she subconsciously began fighting off her father's blocks to see what he was seeing. She knew that she wasn't being shown the whole thing since nothing scared Kariel. But he was terrified and she knew it. The only image she managed to get was at the very end but it was enough to make her burst into tears. The dead rising out of the ground, chunks of skin and organs removed from Malik's greedy meal.

--
Faate knew instantly that something was wrong and she held her head as massive fear filtered through bonds. She hadn't learned to distinguish for sure between them and there was too much filtering through. She couldn' think, she couldn't move. Her hands had just completed a new rune and a flare of energy lit the room, fire dancing on the table and singing the ends of her hair. Her hands moved to her temple and she let out a cry as the pressure built and magnified, each family member adding to it. Fear, anger, revulsion, confusion, all the emotions stacked on top of each other like blocks, the tower teetering in her mind and then her brother reacted as well. With each emotion, the ball of energy grew bigger and bigger, turning an evil green color and hovering in midair over the table as if waiting for some kind of command.

Kelligrin went nuts. "NOOOO!" He started clawing at his father, pulling things off of his person and throwing them. Steel, daggers, his cup, plates. Anything within reach of the toddler was thrown and all the while he was fussing. Every few seconds he'd tug at his braid and then his father's and then start screaming once again.

--
"I know...and he will be.." Trailing off as Piper reacted but before she could ask, Zahara felt it all. Every single bond went off, first Zykariel's and Lyssie's and after a moment of delay, Faate's and Kelli's. She coudn't pinpoint the last two but she knew her children were terribly frightened and upset and she reacted much the same way Piper did. Racing inside, she surveyed the situation and ripped her own son's hand away from the blade then rounded on Malik whom she'd identified as the source of her children's discomfort. "What in the hell do you think you're doing?!"

"Exactly what I just did."

Malik glanced at the women and the oldest.

"You feel it. it's there. it's faint. the missing children are in a panic mode. they feel the oldest distress, and while the kidnappers may have prepared to our freakout at missing kids, they haven't entirely prepared for the kids to freak out over the older ones."

Malik looked at both the older boys.

"You were right, Zykariel. Malvolence eats people. even it's weilder if it can. That is what Malvolence can drive anyone to do if it gets control. You can thank your Aunt that creature you just saw isn't even a shadow anymore. that's her doing."

Before looking at the other adults.

"Anyone got a direction, anything. Anything at all? We can flay me alive after we get our children back."

Broog sniffed once, then twice.

"Joo no lying to broog. Liar peples no panic, and deys fights."

then he set the boy down, and patted him on the head.

"Joos goods peples. Joo wants foods?"

before moving to the fridge.

"I hear about him in many ways, bad and sometimes good. Malik is known widely around these parts and people can't help but speak of him once in awhile. Though I do have ways of listening in on people speaking. it's just one of the ways Malik finds use of me." A small shrug before he sipped his drink that he got from the slave who gave it to him. Though just as he turned back to the half elf he watched as Broog lifted the elf out of the seat and began threatening him. "Broog! Let him down!" The ogre probably didn't get the memo about a new face popping up around here.

Though soon enough the ogre set the boy down and Galesen sighed turning to the boy. "Sorry bout that, he must of not known you were coming. Mykorian this is Broog, he is a very talented smith here at twilight. Broog this is Mykorian, he will be coming here to be trained like I was sort of." A light sigh from him and he sat down in his seat. "The reason he acted like that is because a few of the kids here got taken away, everyone is on high alert and very stressed out, which is why I said it was kind of a bad time for you to come here." A pause as he sipped on his drink "So do you want anything to eat or are you fine for now? A drink perhaps?"

Blasted elves...them and thier bonding. Mimicry was never as good as the real thing though. But the one she tended to seemed to be calming quickly as the child was indeed taking some comfort from her in some fashion or whatever was bothering him was letting up. Situations elsewhere told her otherwise. Making sure the boy's eyes were sheilded a flip and a wrist and another figure took place beside her. "Got tend to them and make it better." Thusly a snap of her fingers and a flare up of magic barriers to help muddle things back and forth.

He took a calm yet quick take on it all. The child was set on the table and a motion of hands formed a bubble around that ball of energy...wasn't runics but it would work...they were just energies and those could be drained. "Now now calm down children. Zykariel! Stop playing around and come out here! You're upsetting your siblings!" Feeling the barriers go up and muffling things as the teenager walked into the room with mimicry already going.

"Hey hey come on you two I was just having a little fun and spooked. You know how I am, always biting off more than I can chew." A wave at his hand to that enegry ball as well to give the drain another boost as he went to the table and picked up his sibling. "Shhh buddy, don't cry. Hey Faatallon, it's okay. Really just playing."

--
He jumped lightly, hand pulling off the hilt of the sword at the sound of breaking dishes before next thing he knew, he was holding onto his mother for dear life as she was trying to soothe him in that comforting way that mothers had and was trying to quell his trembling. Okay so he was extremely overwhelmed, brealy listening to what was being said by his father at the moment. Yup, felt three again...and it was good he was still shorter than hsi mother for once.

Sure, calming one son and thus the other was probably something that defeated the purpose of location finding...but she couldn't help herself. Frankly she couldn't see how Malik could resist the urge, but them again she wasn't focused on him right now to really know if he was or not. Her focus was on the boy that was clinging to her...after all...she was dealing with full response back from both her sons. At least Malik seemed to be trying to soothe things a little by saying what once was, didn't exist anymore. "Nothing but a nice reveberation back from everyone that I can't do anything about for one. I should flay you now."

He caught the boy as he stumbled back, one arm around his son while he tended as best as he could to his daughter. He had bonds to his children, but what with the way his mind worked they weren't as strong as the others perhaps, save with Zykariel because they had been so close when the boy was still a baby and all each other had. He gave his son a little firmer squeeze and a press of his hand to the boy's chest the second after that magic potential in him flared up, and took to breaking fragile things within fifty feet of himself, thusly suppressing what his son couldn't momentarily control. "I got something....more magic activation than anything more recognizable than that...and it wasn't any of us."

His heart felt like it was going to leap out of his chest and he scrambled to the otherside of the room the moment he was put down and patted. "Obviously a bad time, I'm a kid myself thoguh how come I get branded kidnapper...." But it seemed rather than wanting to squish him now, the ogre was just being polite. Still breathing hard and watching the ogre. "Um yes...please?" Because you shouldn't refuse an offer from that thing. but a blink and he looked over at that feeling of magic that was familiar to him. "Huh...I didn't know 'nells were down here too. They work for Malik too?"
