"no, no conquering. just laying out the rules for school. I think the boys are going to be spending some time discussing that subject before dinner."
before setting himself down in a seat next to his wife.
"So. what do you know about the boy keely is interested in? anyone we might know?"

"Most likely so. Malikhai doesn't know whether to be terrified or just horribly excited." Grinning at that and letting the child in front of her to continue to count, taking a moment to fill in a blank for him before he was right back to it and she turned a look to Malik as he sat down next to her. "James? He's a sweet man really, but not a push over. He works somehwere down in the market I do believe." Grinning at him. "Are you looking to play matchmaker again Malik love?"

A slight smirk.
"I still maintain that my playing matchmaker before wasn't anything more than forcing two stubborn mules to see what they already had. and no, just curious. after all, Keely has alot of responsibilities, I don't particularly want her infactuation to be with a leech looking to get in good with her with the idea that she'll be his moneymaker."
a moment before a thought occured.
"anything new about the potential father of Isle's child to be?"

"I've met him. He's not a little steel grubber leech." Shaking her head with an amused look. Malik always thought the worse before he thought the best...but that was probably a good thing since she herself tried to think the best first. Nice counter balances she supposed. "Besides, Keely's already told him a time or two that her work here and the children come first before other things. I told her not to think that absolute...she deserves her own time too." Amused again as his mind was just all over things today. "No, I don't think Isle cares anyway. Once the puffy part is over, and then the painful part I'm sure she'll care even less. You know, I thought it could of been Galesen for a while, but then things don't line up quite right. Probably Luccaydyn or Kystrael....or any other men she's managed to befriend and also have flings with." A light giggle. "She always was the more sociable one."

"I ask because I don't want this biting us in the a**. we know her nigh obsession with the color blue, and many of your traders that travel between planes are Tier'dal. the last thing I think we want is Lateef coming here claiming I've commited adultry becuase Isle has a blue boy."
a slight smirk at her.
"and it might be Galesen. maybe he snuck off without us knowing at some point. he has been absent more oft than not."

A raise of an eyebrow at that. "You're afraid that Lateef may think you an adulterer, because Isle may happen to have one that looks like you. If you do remember...there are blue moon elves...well not as dark as you, but they do exist." Shaking her head. "Besides...I think Lateef would know better than to think I would let you cheat on me." Though Piper knew better than to think that also...or was he trying to give her reason to worry? Okay now he got messed with. "Strange thoughts A'mael...secretly having an affair in that head of yours? Did I finally get boring?"

Trying hard not to stress never really worked out all that well. She side-glanced him, watching as he continued in his favorite activity of all. He'd found a smell comforting at one point? She'd had no idea about that. "It's a very nice smell, actually." Chewing on her lower lip as she lifted on her tiptoes to put the dish away, she shook her head. "And it just suddenly came out of nowhere but you haven't smelled it since you were on Andal?" Yes, little worried now. "Maybe. Perhaps there was a smell like it in the marketplace and your mind jumped to a memory rather than the actual smell...or perhaps someone from Andal is here."

"Right. Just all of a sudden it was like I walked into it." And got all goofy feeling. "And then it was gone just as quick." Shaking his head lightly. "I would know if anyone from Andal was here...I have track set on planes energy signatures. Anyone who crosses planes carries a trace with them...I'm still trying to find that one that we've no clue where it was from. But no Andal." Frowning for a moment before he finished the last dish and rinsed it off, drying it and putting it up. "Smell is linked to memory though...you're probably right. I do have a tendency to jump to the worst possibility."

"Hmm..." That was strange, wasn't it? She'd forgotten about all those silly signatures he had to have on various things so that he knew what was coming at all times. It might seem overanxious to some but she knew how quickly their lives could change by someone crossing the threads between the planes and choosing to disrupt their world. It was a delicate balance that had to be maintained as best as they could. Rinsing out the sink, she walked over to him and pushed him back against the counter, studying the slice. He'd messed with it and caused it to bleed but that was nothing new. It took her all of five minutes to keep him cornered and pull out her ever ready medical kit. Not knowing what caused it and not wanting to cause him any adverse magical effects, she washed it with soap and warm water then slapped a bandage over it. "It's imperative that you keep it in mind but don't dwell on it, Sevilin. It will only cause you to worry." Lightly settling her hands on his cheeks. "Crazy tempered some?"

He blinked a moment as she more or less cornered him and decided to play healer...not that he minded at all. It was comforting in a way even if he really could forget about the injury and thought it no big deal. Then again he wasn't one who was an active in the world of healing so he let her tend as she wished. Red latched to violet though as she framed his face somewhat and drew his attention. "But I like to dwell, you know that." Giving her somewhat of a lopsided grin and a nod within the confines of her hold on him, light as it may be. "Tempered. You always manage that though...you just want to hear it so you can brag."

She felt much better and knew in the long run she'd saved herself more frustration. If he moved about at night and ripped it open and bled on thes sheets, the bed, the floor, the mattress, all of it would have to be cleaned. If he bled in the shower they were really in for the bleachy smell. Letting her own radiant relief shine in her eyes, she nodded. "I have to have something to brag about. You have the rune mage fingers after all." Moving her hands to rest on his hips instead and shifting against him. "We haven't celebrated Kelligrin's first steps yet..."

He chuckled lightly at her mention of rune mage fingers. She would forever tease about that...though she really wasn't teasing was she? Not really. But then that lopsided grin of his again as he watched her hands drop and felt her body against him in that way that only she was allowed to be so close to him. "No we haven't. So then I guess we have children to put down or occupy and things to celebrate in the particular way you enjoy the most, hm?"

"I can't think of a better way to celebrate something so very special, can you?" Shaking her head and pressing a kiss to his lips, holding it just long enough to tease him, then waltzing over to the playpen and scooping out the playing child with a kiss to his cheek and gentle jostle so he didn't cry. It was fairly easy to put him down and for once she was grateful his crib was not in their room anymore. The girls were handled easily enough as well, they were too young to really argue with bedtimes and Zykariel was gone for the night she was assuming. Easy night indeed. Humming to herself, she lit a few candles to give the room some flickering light and add a bit of frangrance to the air and waited while he finished giving out goodnights.

"Please. you boring? hardly. just a thought that occured to me when you told me she was pregnant and no clue on the father. and while yes, there are true blue moon elves, the odds of one are what? so slim as to make them virtually non-existent? and while he may not show it, I have no doubts Lateef or his wife are anxious about whom the father might be."
a slight smirk.
"besides, you'd know if I was, I'm sure. all it would take is one mental slip up, which would be bound to happen, and I'd wake up tied to a tree being used as target practice."

It was kinda funny how she could slip betweem mother mode and wife mode from time to time...he supposed it made up for the times that she forgot that she was a wife at times. But he merely took to finishing up the kitchen before he headed upstairs to hand out the goodnights to the girls and Kel, who was probably all tuckered out from walking and would take reverie in a long period this time. Thusly to the bedroom with him...to which he seemed to walk in with a cautious air at first as he closed the door, giving the room a once over before turning to her. "Candles and everything?"
"They're not that non-existant. You've seen quite a few in the times we've been there...they're just a pale blue do you really don't notice. But good to know that I'm not boring...I would hate to think I was boring you." Shaking her head lightly. "Anxious if only because when men have son's they feel a need to claim them for heir rights. That can cause problems...but knowing Isle, I doubt any men who were recently current in her life are brave enough to take her to task. Far as she's concerned that baby is hers and no one else's." Grinning at him once more. "You'd be upset and slip because Isle isn't a scratcher...she's more of a hair puller. And I would do something crueler than that. You'd wake up to find our ring on the pillow and your son's and me, gone. Just so you know."
