For a second before my inventory completely loaded I thought the Long Drag was unsoulbound. NOPE. ******** Gaia.

I was kinda hoping too, but at the same time I'm not TOO distraught.
I wanted the Long Drag, but I never really cared to save up for it so I thought that the Kiseru item was a nice cheap replacement. I just wish I bought the silver one while I had the chance.
I think I would be a LOT more pissed if they actually REMOVED the items from your inventory, not just soulbound. As long as I still have it then I'm okay.
Though I feel bad, I have two cigs in my inventory that I never use, and I know there are Gaians out there who would really like them, but now I'll have them forever. ><

I'm kinda pissed I won't get the black or gold ones.
Well now I'm hoping that, since SF is absolutely losing its s**t over this (or it was yesterday... probably still is, haven't checked yet today) this will be a repeat of the last time Gaia went all moral crusader brand of retarded and totally banned the word *****. They undid that after a few days because everyone realized it was ridiculous.
And, as people in SF have pointed out, thanks to this ban just about everyone who owns a smoking item is wearing it in protest... therefore making them much more visible which is the exact opposite of what Gaia wanted. So unless they make them unequippable which will piss people off even more there's really no sense in leaving the ban. Not like the things Gaia does have to make sense.
I really wanna know why they did this, though. :/
This mostly pisses me off because it sets a really, really bad precedent. Having items in the shops for YEARS then one day suddenly deciding "oh this should go"? Hell no. Getting rid of items is just... no. Not that the smoking items are gone but that seems to be what they were going for with the sellback. Though if they seriously thought most people were going to go "OH OKAY" and sell them back they're even bigger idiots than I ever would have believed. I thought it was stupid when they changed the description on Fondue but this is a whole new level of fail, even for Gaia.
Edit: Yup, SF's still in an uproar. And it seems even some devs and mods are supporting the protest so WTF?

It just doesn't make sense why they would ban this of all things and not well... everything else that's deemed 'inapropriate'. I mean just look at all the creepy people items you can get that are in way beyond slutty positions, and the weapons it just... makes no sense.
And like you said Ryu, it throws off the security people have about the shops. You can feel safe that any item in the shop is there forever, but the fact they can remove is so quickly is just... dumb. Especially since there was no warning.
GCD also SPAZZED when it happened.

I would just like to know the true reasons on why they took them out. Still pissed cause the items are still gone... Let's see what the week brings.

I can't wait for AtA tomorrow night. I highly doubt there's going to be anything BUT questions about the ban.
I'm going to be really surprised if this doesn't get undone, though.

But it strikes me as odd that they get rid of the smoking items. They have the beer bottle thinggy and extremely revealing outfits and they even have plenty of weapons....
yet they don't get rid of those..
I guess because if they did, gaia would be left with about 5 items. xD It's like I'm looking from a distance,
