The Elemental huffed with offense and even felt a bit wounded. The dancing was just fo fun, seeing as all she was to do at the party was to seduce men, get information, then kill them. She was going to be bored stiffless. Literally. She just wanted some fun before she went. "We are to be leaving soon right? Several days have passed." She questioned, her eyes sad. "I swear some of the men here are starting to frighten me with the looks they give me. I think my practice worked too well...."

Dion blushed, slightly, and nodded. He began to dance with her, goiong though all the dances he had been taught in the 5 days. He wasn't perfect, but he was good enough to pass for a nobleman, dispite his real occupation.

Kelbora's hands were planted firmly on the desk before a mirror in the dark and solitary bedroom. She was leaning, head down, and expression grim and mockingly bitter of someone who'd been slapped in the face with reality.

She was so laughable...completely laughable. She, the imfamous Lady of the Fallen, Demoness of Shadows, Nightmares of Nobels and Vampires alike...terrified and humiliated beyond reason at someone seeing her doing something so...so...human. She was so pathetic...a master of her arts, killing, hunting, assasinating...even on a dance floor she had few equals, yet the moment she realized someone else had seen her acting human other then her Pomme de Sang...she paniced.

She didn't think she could feel humiliation, fear, or social fright until just a few moments ago. She was unarmed, wearing a...a dress! She was so human in appearence and so human in action for the first time in so long, she'd almost forgotten what and who she was. The illusion was broken the moment Faer walked in on them...the fear bubbled up in her gut so horribly that she had to leave or else she might have had a panic attack. She hadn't felt so vulnerable since she became a vampire, and suddenly having someone as powerful, even though she was a friend, walk into the room without her sensing it scared her to no end.

What if she didn't sense danger at the ball until it was too late? What if she hesitated? What if her lax in swiftness cost one of her allies their life? Wha-what if...

No! Doubting oneself was the first step towards disastor! She couldn't do that...to much was riding on this. She was a vampire, a master vampire with the strength of 2000 years of power...she was a hardened killer with a scorned soul to match. Her eyes narrowed and suddenly hardened in gaze as slit pupils found their way to her irises...pools of green swallowed the out ring of round to form perfect lines in her inhuman eyes. Ears suddenly pointed as she clenched her jaws and fangs protruded from her shortened cannines. Her skin paled like death as her overall appearence screamed demon while her aura pulsed with wicked darkness. Her fists were clenched so tightly that the growing claws torn her skin open and blood began to flow.

She looked up at her appearence to see the vampire she was staring back at her. This was her. She wasn't human, not any more. She wasn't allowed to feel fear or petty stage fright...she was doing this in preperation for a kill, not to have a nestalgic human experience. Suddenly she snorted and looked disgusted with herself as she saw the green dress clinging to her body, makeup on her face, and her hair primed so elegantly. This didn't suit who she really was, not at all...she wanted her swords, her guns, and her black leather to hide it all as she suprised the enemy with the arsenal that lie beneath.

She was master of herself again and now a logical thought occured to her: in her burst of extreme emotion and fear, she had lost her human appearence that was a side effect of Dion's blood. Hmm...if she lost her cool at the party and suddenly reverted back to her form of the undead, their cover was blown and they were all dead. She couldn't let that happen...she could always call this off and go on her own, but there was no gaurentee the Wastelanders would try this stupid plan without her. No...she'd come this far, so it was time to see it through.

She stood up and righted the dress again. Confident she could face them again after her departure, she walked to the door and opened it out into the mock ball room. She saw Dion and Faer dancing, and she snorted in disgust. This wasn't the time for pleasure and fun...how could they all have lost sight of the situation so quickly, including herself? It was time to talk to Bartz and see where preperations on his end were at.

Without a word, she grabbed her black leather trech coat, slipping it on and zipping it up over the dress that still spilled out behind her as she walked, and left the ball room to find Bartz without even looking or talking to the two dancing on the floor.

She slammed the door behind her as she walked down the hall towards Bartz's office, the other Wastelanders parting before her like a sea parting for ancient Biblical figures. She rounded the second corner and without knocking, she opened the door briskly and walked into the room. Bartz was there, and she stood before his desk looking stiff and very very vampiric.

"What is the status on the invitations and plans on your end for back up support?" She said quickly, she wasn't asking...she was expecting.

Bartz sighed. "First off, In that state your in right now, I'm going with the idea that something pissed you off, and your wanting to blow of steam by doing something right? And yes, everything is set. However, I do so hope you don't mind the city... Turns out Hor-Dlen, or LA as the US once called it, is hte location of hte ball. I can only give you 4 hours to get hte info you need before the bombers have to fall back. The reason is, we don't have a Wasteland to operate out of near the city for a good amount of distance." He slid the invitations across the desk, noticing hte reverting of her apperance. However, the dress combo was rather funny. The hem of a elegent green dress under a combat ready black leather duster was a rather unusual combo to be wearing.

Laughing joyfully as Dion and her danced around the ballroom floor, she changed the dance in mid-dance. "This will happen occassionally at parties i've bin to, where they switch music to something else." Light on her feet, she moved him through a Foxtrot. "I'm sure you'll be able to handle it with the Lady Vampire. And you've improved much since the last time I saw you dance, no need to blush!" She was smiling, her golden eyes sparkling with amusement. "You know, i've got about half a dozen of your Wastelanders fawning after me now?" she was talking and dancing at the same time, a habit of hers that she fell into a rythm. "I've been practicing my wench wiles... A wink, a toss of the hair, and a swing of the hips and their standing in their own drool. You have a serious depletion of women here, it's unhealthy."

Celeste walked though the room pointing things out to her planners. "I want it very elegent, alright, this is for my father, nothing but the best, over there i want a fountion with blood. It must be on a table with cups surrounding it." Celeste said. She kept pointing things out. "I want tables in the ballroom next to this one, the two large doors there will allow guest though to the dance floor... I want black roses everywhere. The stage is to be in the same room as the tables that way my father may speak and the entertainment can play...." She kept going. A young man near Celeste's age walked up behind her and smiled. "So you setting up already, have the ball being in a few days..." Celeste sighed and rolled her eyes. "Did my fath--" Celeste started but was cut off when she saw her father Lord Exdeath enter the room. She smiled and walked/Ran over to her father. "Daddy, what do you think so far?" She asked sweetly and softly. She watched her father smile in happyness. "My dear daughter its perfect.. keep up the good work and your sisters should be back from Paris tonight..." He said calmly as he left the room. Celeste turned on her heels and claped her hands. Everyone stoped and looked at her. "You all know what to do, get it done and hurry it must all be done before my sisters get here.." She said harshly. The young man, Durke, looked at her but she held her hand up and he left.

Dion looekd at Faer, eyes wide at ehr statement. "No, it's jsut not very often that we have time to think about women... So, you praticing on them most likely didn't help them out too much. And don't think we keepthe women safe behind the lines... you'd be surprised at how many are currently fighting right now... The rest, well they prefared other career choices, some less decent then others..." Dion said, keeping up with Faer in their dancing.

"Still, it's not healthy, those who did drool at my feet, would fall for any other woman who belongs to enemies with decent training of seduction. It's a useful trick, would you like to learn?" She laughed jubilantly as she raised her eyebrows.

Dion looked at her in shock. "Whoa there. What do you mean by learning it?!" Dion says, missing a step in the dancing. Yea, they would fall for it, but most of hte time, they were more concerned with killing their enemies then wanting to lay with them. Dion figured it might in fact be a good idea to have the men who did drool, and those who might evenutally, to start seeing the more... Unusal female members of the Wastelanders.

"Well how would they know if it was an enemy sent to assassinate troops? My point is they know nothing of the female wiles." She smirked at his faltered steps. "I got you to screw up finally." Halting the dance, she stepped away, pressing something into his palm. "Just in case the Lady vampire falls, highly unlikely, or you are seperated, it's a different summoning device. Of a different kind." In his hand was a ring. "Kiss it, and i'm there. Ironic, eh? No one would expect it to be something like a summoning, for it's just onyx."

Kelbora ignored his first comment, and the commical look about him when he looked at her attire. She didn't give a s**t. She felt better walking around with her coat on then simply in a very bust revealing dress around a base full of men. She hated male attention in that respect, but sometimes it worked to her advantage...like during the ball coming up. She was going to have to be very seductive and charming beyond words to pull this off.

She picked up the invitations and preoccupied herself with reading them.

To Monsieur and Madame Cher de Aîné...

Kelbora didn't immediately recognize the names, but the moment she translated the French words in her head, the faces of the snotty noble family emerged in her mind. Lucky for them, the Cher de Aîné rarely left either their gotty French Mansion in lower Orleans or the chaetu` in France...so chances were that no one would recognize their faces there. But French nobles? God...she personally hated French...and wasn't a huge fan of thier military in the days of old. Back then she was sure French children in school were either embaressed of thier countries...involvements in the greater wars, or were simply told fairydust and tulip versions of thier rather foolish armed force endevors. She was counting on the latter.

"...Lucky for us, French is one of the dead languages, though to some nobles it is well known for cultured reasons." She said as she raised her eyes to Bartz, "If worse comes to worse and we meet some Frenchly-inclined at the party, tell Dion to let me do all the talking. Its been a few thousand years, but I remember enough of it to get us passed off as prissy a** Frenchmen. Dion maybe ready to pass off as an atiquit ball room dancer, but I'm not a mirical worker...so teaching him French in a night is out of the question."

With that she thought for another moment. L.A.? Los Angeles? Now there was a blast from the past...the city of Lost Angels and one of the most violent cities in the world back when humans were in power. Now it was a mecha for the vampire and human noble richa and famous. Tch...peachy.

"Four hours is more then enough time for me. But what of Dion and his mission? Can he do it in that time frame?"
PostPosted: Fri Aug 03, 2007 7:25 pm

Bartz sighed. "Honestly? I have no idea. Unlike you, he's only human. And don't forget, it'll be very difficult to seperate those sisters from both each other, AND their guards..." Bartz said, thinking. Well, she wasn't kidding. Things were going to be hard enough to work with, with Dion only barely knowing how to dance, trying to teach him french in 2 days was going to be impossible.

Dion looked at the ring. "Any special reason your giving me this?" Dion asked, and was slightly confused. Not only was she talking oddly, but she gave him something that made no sense to him. For some reason, he felt she was teasing him about how easily men are swayed by females.

As if reading his mind she smiled, "Men are easily swayed by women." She put the ring on his finger. "I already told you it's uses. To match your tuxedo, plus it's gaudy with it's gold. It's a summoning for me at the ball should you be seperated from the Lady Vampire in the chaos that is sure to follow our attack." Crossing her arms over her chest, she nodded, staring at him up and down, "You clean up nicely..." With that she turned and stuck her head into the hallway, "Hey Jared, would you mind bringing me some gel if you have it?" It was one of the Wastelander's she had charmed. Nodding enthusiastically he ran off to find gel, highly unlikely in this area. "For your hair, it's a dread mess."

Dion sighes, and looks Faer over. "Yea well maybe if you weren't trying so hard, you wouldn't be driving half the base crazed with desire..." Dion said, trying to figure out exactly what it was she planned on doing at the Ball. He knew she was to seduce men, extract info, then kill them, but frankly, what would she do to seduce them in the first place? And what if a woman came? 'Damn I've got to get those idea's out of my head... WAY too slutty to be thinking about, especially at this point in time.' Dion thought, feeling embressed over them, and it showed.

Seeing his face turn red as he looked her over Faer's eyes narrowed. "Now what dirty thoughts are you thinking Dion? Are you curious?" Jared came running in, a tube in his hand. "This was all we could find, theirs very little left." Taking it and feeling it's weight, then looking at Dion's hair she nodded. "It's enough, don't worry Jared." He had taken on the look of a puppy dog waiting to be patted for a good job. Smiling affectionately, twisting her charm into play, she went over and tilted his chin down to look her in the eye. Shifting her weight to one leg, it accenuated her form, the curves of her waist higged by the leather bustier. His eyes drifted down. "Good job Jared." Smiling, she gave him a peck of a kiss on the cheek and sent him away. When he drifted in the doorway she chased him off with a slap on the rear. In which he laughed and ran, most likely to brag. "And that's the basics."
