Her heart beat spead up as she gasped silently. But isntead of pulling away in fear. Kelala decided to be a bit bold and she snuggled closer towards him. Liking the way it felt ot have his arms around her,it felt safe.

He was rather surprised when she cuddled up to him. Heck, maybe this would be easier than he'd thought. But a sudden thought, of a certain ritual he hadn't yet gotten to, made him jump to his feet, ruining the tenderness of the moment. "I haven't made my rounds yet." He explained, waving his hand. The pot vanished and the fire went out. His lantern appeared in his other hand, despite the fact that it was mid-day.

Kelala gasped as he quickly ripped away from her. Making her almost fall over. Laughing nervously she ran her hand through her hair as she stood up slowly. "Your...rounds?"

"I have to make sure no one else has come into the forest. At least not if they're planning to stay the night." His eyes swirled anxiously. "You can come with me, I guess." He sounded a little annoyed at the idea, his mood again changing abruptly, but he managed to catch himself and quickly added, "If you want to. Or I could take you back to the tree."

"I think...I will go back to the tree." She said as she wanted time to think and maybe time alone will help her with that. ALos for the fact he didn't really want her to join it seemed.

"Alrighty then." He said, glancing up at the sun and biting his lip. Without warning, he grabbed her by the sash he'd tied around her waist and pulled her into his arms. He bent and kicked himself up into the air, the powerful wings on his back steering him as he flew her the fairly short distance back to the tree, up, and in. As usual, they tumbed inside. He released her to fall however ungracefully she would and stood up easily.

Kelala gasped as she clung tightly to him as he flew towards the tree. With an oumph and a groan she landed on the floor. Mumbeling about hard landings she got up slowly. "You know that hurt."

"Sorry." Ovaan chuckled, not sounding very apologetic. He looked quickly around the room, checking to make sure he wasn't missing anything. But really all he needed was himself, his wings, and his lantern. "I'll be back...later." He said, distractedly, as he departed.

"O...k." Kelala said as she stared at the door. Sighing softly she went and sat on his bed. Forgetting that she wasn't suppose to do that. And let her thoughts dwell on what was happening before he began to act wierd again. "That man is really confusing some times."

It was surprisingly late when Ovaan returned, and he did so far less gracefully than usual. In fact, he practically crashed through the 'door' and landed hard on the floor. He stood with a dark cuss, clutching his side.

Kelala had fallen into a light slumber but was quickly awoken when she heard a crash. Eyes widen as she saw Ovaan clutching to his side. Getting up she rushed over to him and place a hand on his arm. "Ovaan are you ok...what happen?"

Ovaan hissed in pain as she touched his arm, jerking roughly away. "I'm fine." He barked, moving past her to the dresser beside his bed and rummaging through it. He was playing tough, but his steps were shaky and his hand was trembling as he pulled out a bottle of some sort of salve and bandages. Apparently he'd been beaten up a time or two before. He sat heavily on his bed.

She gasped when he ripped away from her and she frowned. BUt she could tell that he wasn't fine as he had said. Slowly walking over to him she sat by him and reached for the salve and bandages. "Let me help you." Kelala said softly as she began to lift up his sleeve to check his wounds.

He scowled at her, a scowl that became a wince as she lifted his arm. His shirt was torn, three long cuts zig-zagging down his side, as though someone had gone wild with a knife. He gave her a disgruntled look, then finally gave in. He gestured vaguely at the other side of the room, where there was a tub of clean water. "Get me water...to clean it." He commanded.

Kelala nodded as she stared at his wounds. They looked like cuts from a dagger, so who attacked him? Getting up she went to get the tub of water and a towl that was near by. Grabbing one of her hidden blades she cut his shirt open so she could get to the wounds. "So who attacked you?" She asked weakly as she pulled the now cut open shirt away from the wounds and began to cling them with the small wet towl.
