Patrick looked around the kitchen inventory for inspiration for what he would eat. He had pretty much memorized where everything was in the kitchen by now. His mind was blank on what he wanted to eat for breakfast. He looked to his boyfriend grateful for the offer. "Actually I do need your help. I'm not comfortable with handling knives currently so I need you to cut up ingredients for me, dear" he responded. He had decided on a omelette sandwich and his would be helping him cut up some ingredients that he will be putting into the omelette. Had a cup of juice to go with the meal. Avoiding sharp objects now, but he has no intention of letting it get in the way of cooking in the near future. He pleased that Saeki will be accompanying so that make him cautious about going out there, outside in general. "Don't think I've asked in the past, but do you have some house rules for me to follow? These would be different or additional to what guests follow" he asked after breakfast and they were heading out to the police station. Petted the cats and Aki on the way out and telling them they will be back soon. Spoke like they would understand him and it did make him better doing that.[exit]

It's been two weeks and the stalking case hasn't really been on his mind. Patrick has been focused on home life and his art business. With valentine's coming, Kenzie was getting swamped with orders of small scale items like flower vases or picture frames. Sentimental things that people want customized and not a manufactured copy product from the craft store. So he decided to take half of it off his load. This meant returning back to his house, but he couldn't bring himself to go through the front or back door and instead entered the garage where the art studio was. He was pleased with how cleaned his house, never would have known blood was split if he hadn't been the one to experience it first hand.
On the current day at Saeki's home, the brunette was wearing the necklace with the three rings as he was going through the last remaining orders that needed sending out for them to make to the clients on time. His drifted a bit to thinking about the upcoming holiday that he hasn't spent romantically with anyone yet. So far he had made a reservation to a fancy and preordered flowers and what was left was the card. He was going to make it himself, adding more than a personal touch to this heartfelt gift. Set the papers down on the coffee table then took a sip from his mug of hot lemon honey tea.

Saeki walked downstairs once he was dressed. He had been in the shower just now. It was still cold outside so he was wearing warm, black cargo pants with a gray shirt and a dark gray zipped hoodie that he kept unzipped for now since it was warm enough inside. His long hair was brushed and tied into a low ponytail. He didn’t see Patrick at first, but it didn’t take him long to find them in the living room with tea. The young man smiled and walked over to his beloved, wrapping his arms around him from behind and giving him a gentle hug. "Good morning sweetheart. How are you feeling today?" he asked and kissed their neck before letting go and taking place next to them. "Everything going alright with the orders?" His interest was genuine and his voice caring. Saeki enjoyed having his boyfriend around and living in, time would tell if they would stay or perhaps return to their home once they were ready. Of course Saeki looked forward to officially living together, but he never pushed it. And he would support them no matter what. He was unaware of the coming holiday however, as it wasn’t something his people did around this time. It was in March in Japan.

Patrick was pleasantly surprised by the hug from behind. A few days ago he would have flinched from being startled as a residue from his trauma, but he has been working on it. He wouldn't want what happened to taint the intimacy in their relationship. Firmly held the mug in his hand, "I'm doing well. How about you?" he said smiling endearingly after the kiss on his neck. The caring tone reminded him of the warm and sweet tea he was drinking. He nodded, "Yes, all that is left is to take the packages to the post office so they can arrive on time for Valentine's day" he answered. "Could you assist me on carrying them there, dear?" he requested. He drank some of the tea, "I do have something planned for us on that day too" he told him. Been quite some time since they last ate out let alone in a formal setting. He was making an effort to be out in the public more so he hang outside with his boyfriend comfortably.

Saeki smiled when he sat next to his boyfriend. "I’m feeling well too. Had a good night sleep." he replied and softly rubbed their arm affectionately. When Patrick spoke of the packages he nodded. "Of course hun, It’ll be my pleasure to help you out." he said with a chuckle. Hearing Patrick about plans for them though he looked surprised. "For us? Sounds like Valentine’s Day works a bit differently here than in Japan." he said thoughtfully but then he smiled. "Of course I look forward to it though." he said and sat back a little for now until they would work on the packages. "In Japan the girls give chocolates to the men in their lives. The type of chocolate depends on their relationship with said male. There is chocolate for friends, family and partner. Then a month later, the males that were given chocolates give chocolates back on March 14th. Maybe we can change that to making plans, so I can take you out on March 14th." he said cheerfully and hoped Patrick would be on board about it.

Patrick had returned close to lunch time to the comfortably heated house feeling exhausted emotionally from his first therapy session. He was on guard the whole time and it had lessened towards the end of it. Sure he chose to seek help and he was doing it for his boyfriend, even though a part of him wanted to ignore the trauma like it didn't happen. Works for short term just not long term and is a lot worse. The brunette was greeted by his felines as took off his boots and put on the slippers. Which helped him recharge some emotionally. "Hey, you two. Hiro and Emerald" he said softly and petted them.

Saeki had kept himself busy around the house while he waited for Patrick to come back home. He felt a little worried about letting do this one alone, but they were adults and Saeki told himself his boyfriend would be fine and therapy was really personal. Nonetheless he was relieved to hear them come home later that day. He dropped whatever he was working on and walked to the main hall. Seeing Patrick greeted by his felines, the Asian smiled. He only got momentarily distracted when he felt a brush against his leg, but then saw it had been Aki who had joined his master in the hall and was now sitting next to him, against his leg though not leaning in. A simple sign of affection. Saeki chuckled a bit and gently petted on the dog’s head before he walked closer to Patrick, Aki close behind him. "Welcome home sweetheart. Are you feeling alright? Can I get you anything?" he welcomed them back and then asked if they needed help. They could probably use a nice, warm drink for one. If they wanted to.

Patrick petted the two felines as they mewed at him. He stood up straight after hearing movement near him. Of course it was Saeki and Aki, but his body still tensed up until he heard his boyfriend's chuckle and voice then faced them. He hugged him and leaned against him slightly. "I'll be alright. Just emotionally exhausted" he replied softly. "Something warm like apple cider or citrus tea. Whichever one will be fine by me" he said thinking the question over. "How was your morning, dear?" he asked him as he let go of him, ending the hug.

Saeki noticed them tensing up, but he didn’t comment on it. Instead he just kept their skittishness in mind with whatever he did, or tried to at any rate. It would take time, but he was certain Patrick could work through it. The young man smiled when they embraced him and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend, holding them close. It always felt good to feel Patrick’s warmth and Saeki would never get tired of their hugs and kisses. When they ended the hug he looked up at them and nodded in understanding before leaning up on his toes a bit and kissing their lips softly before he gave them a smile and caressed their cheek. "I completely understand hun, take your time." he told them, his voice gentle. After that he walked to the kitchen so he could get Patrick a drink, Apple Cider was probably best. "It has been a calm day so far. I did some cleaning and washing. It should be done soon." he replied cheerfully. After he poured his boyfriend the apple cider, he brought it to them, wherever the man decided to sit down, Saeki would place it with them and sit nearby for them. "How did it go?" he asked, though he would leave it up to his lover to decide what to tell if anything.

Patrick appreciated how understanding Saeki was to his condition. His personal sanctuary, that is what his boyfriend is to him right now. The gentle warm hand touching his cold was nice and comforting. Followed after his boyfriend while listening to him calmly and intently about how his lover's morning had gone. The felines followed close behind until halfway to the kitchen then went off to the play area. He sat down at the kitchen table then took a sip from the mug of apple cider that was given to him. "About my childhood and my relationship stance with my birth parents" he said and drank from the mug again. He was looking downward and grimacing, "Faced with the reality of how baggage I was carrying and weighing me down" he said then sighed. Stopped there and didn't say anything else on the matter for the rest of the day. Instead he focused on chillaxing with his loving partner and their furry companions and staying indoors.
