There's such a fooled heart
In search of new dreams, a love that will last.
I'll place the moon within your heart.

Not one to compete openly, Tsuki made her way out onto the field with the control and strut of an amazon, though she lacked the sun-touched skin to suggest this warrior mentality. Perhaps in another place and time, she would have made a deliberate point of catching attention, of flaunting her trim and capable athletic form, and making her own attempt to winning over the men and senpai himself.

Ah, but this was not that day. This was not her intent. For now, she wished to remain unobserved. Though she had already made her claim and decided for herself what was hers, it was not well known yet, and she wished to handle this matter with discretion. She would blend into the crowd for now. She would study the setting in greater detail. This, unfortunately, meant that she couldn't properly watch her prince at the field doing what he so loved and competing with the energy of youth and virility.

She felt her face heat up at the thought and she lifted a hand to her face, embarrassed that she allowed her thoughts to become so distracted with this kind of scandalous turn. Then, at the end of the latest race, there was someone who charged the field, who interrupted the victory, over the coals. Panicking anew at the prospect of her prince being burned, she scrambled for a cooler filled with ice and then shoved it into the arms of someone who was watching aside.

The mindlessly obedient bystander overturned the ice, frigid water, and a few melon sodas and water over the prince and Blue Maya who leapt upon him. Did she have any concept of the sport? She nudged another stranger, clearly a fangirl of Katsuro-senpai but not a threat in Tsuki's eyes, as the girl would buckle and retreat in the face of a superior force. Tsuki directed her to get Maya off the field.

True to form, the fangirls rushed again to rescue Senpai by retrieving a 'rival fan' from the field. Tsuki cared not what happened after that point, so long as their efforts were successful. She ensured its success from the side-lines, for now, working to keep herself under control... She wanted to look her best for Katsuro-senpai. She couldn't do that if she was wresting Blue from the ground.

"YYESS! I finally won one! Suck it pretty boy, I got-- Huh?"

"Katsuro-kun~!" The fangirls did indeed swarm, and Katsuro was immediately taken to his rightful throne atop the shoulders of his adoring public. They also made sure to patch up his hands and anywhere else that got burnt....

"How about here? Did you get burned here?"

"Ehm, no... I don't think so..." The prince blushed and chuckled nervously,
politely refusing the kind attempts to patch up his thighs, buttocks...

--on the other side of the field was waiting a crowd of half the school's population comprised solely of Blues. All of them looked at least somewhat happy with the race, as it did prove the durability of the new makeup. As it was now, Katsuro was a Neptune among fish--and it was glorious.

As expected of the prince, he gracefully rebuffed the advances of the throng of fangirls. They were a surprisingly effective buffer for that which she didn't want to have touched. But, fortunately, the athletic fans and his fellow teammates would convince this group to abate so that Neptune could breathe.

If he seemed a Neptune of the Blue, on land he surely must have been a valiant Apollo.

Ah, but to consider this did make even her heart flutter. She tried to calm her feelings and thoughts on the matter. She drifted closer to Katsuro when she had the chance, and hopefully he wouldn't mind her presence. But she still made a point not to swarm him as others were prone to. She just wanted to be nearby for a little while, to recharge the curious meter of energy that bolstered its power in his presence. Perhaps later she'd understand better why she just felt better near him, within earshot.

Now that they had learned all there was to know about the secrets of that temple in the forest, whose obsession seemed to be life itself through music, Melzig and the crew had their sights on the other three proposed sites of Avilaria. The camp was good, the beds a home were better. It was a whole day before the crew was ready to set out again, and Melzig didn't seem to sleep the entire time, furiously writing and related and discussing what he saw in the ruins to the other mages.

Finally, the day arrived. "Mistress~? Are you ready," said his unmistakable voice from the other side of Avilaria's door. "We're going north this time."

Other proposed sites, yes. That was definitely on the agenda. However, unlike the apprentice, who seemed to make it his life's work to uncover all special secrets and begin to translate the runes in the ruins, the adviser to the crown was quite happy to take the time to rest.

Now, being the strange being that she was, a proper and deep sleep wasn't in the cards, but she could doze and rest as she recovered. Stationary for extended periods of time was definitely the best thing for her right now.... Food would be seen to next, she decided, and when she woke, that was what she took care of.

When the apprentice arrived, she slunk out of her bed. She slowly picked herself up, pulled back her hair, and then she moved from the room and wandered to where they were keeping their food for the trip. Must eat.... and she would eat a lot.

"North?" She queried as she began to tear a loaf of bread into pieces she could eat. It didn't occur to her quite yet that she probably would want to adorn more than just the supportive fabric about her chest and the loose lower layers that made up the bottom half of her traveling attire. "What do we know about it?"

"Not much, sadly." Melzig seemed to deflate a little. "The Gorons and Zora we've talked to reluctantly agreed to the trip, and they would send no aide. Truthfully, those who spoke with the leaders near Snow Peak said their attitudes made them doubt the information they said they didn't have--ehm, that is, we aren't sure if they're lying when they say they don't know much about what lies north of the mountain." His eyes found some floor and made friends with it.

"The royal family won't have any delays, I'm afraid, even with this news." The ambient noise of the section started to pick up. "... What can I do for you, mistress?"

Unfortunate that they didn't have more outside support, but the situation hadn't changed terribly much from what they had at the start. She was just grateful that she could eat to her heart's content and sleep when they were not actively on the move.

And yes, the royal family.... Brook no delays.

She shook her head. Time to write a letter. She rounded the table, kicked out a chair, and then fell into it. She drew a paper and quill closer to her, alongside a vial of ink, and she began to write a letter that she intended to have delivered to the palace. It would serve as her report, and she wished to "alert" the palace that haste would not unearth this remarkable find. As long as she was present and on the case, the secrets would be found. It was worth the patience of the divines to realize them.

"That should keep them off our backs for a few days." She shoved another loaf into her face, eating with some semblance of grace, but apparently having a bottomless stomach. When she finished the letter, she had it rolled, sealed, tied off, and she handed it to Melzig, who could send it away.

She mumbled through the piece of food stuffed into her cheeks. Something about getting dressed. She'd be ready to go soon enough.

"Yes, well..." Melzig seemed to deflate rather quickly upon the question--the thoughts it brought, rather. Pressure from the royal family was felt by the responsible first. "The Goron and Zoras in the Snow Peak area have all seemed to band together to keep the ruins area to the north of there as vague as possible. The only thing more vague than their warnings about what might be there was what they said about what they didn't know... --we suspect, of course, that they've forgotten more than they care to admit; they have sworn off aiding us in our search."

On the other side of the door, she mindlessly chewed on what was in her mouth and mechanically worked her way into the clothes she'd be traveling in. She was a little bothered that they didn't have quite as much help from the natives, but hey, they were working with what they had, and she could only imagine that the hero didn't get much help either. If some historically uneducated Hyrulian decked in green and swinging a sword with the grace of a club could make his way through ancient ruins, then she could navigate it with the apprentice behind her.

She adjusted her thick scarf and then she stepped out. "I suppose we can handle that... any written records that they left behind? Carvings on the ruins?"

"Ehm... Right, well I--" beside tugging his sleeves nervously, a commotion rising from beyond the corner at the end of the hall...

No... Commotion was too small. Just as Melzig was beginning to find the words to explain, a ripple tore through the air that distorted everything in fun-house mirror fashion. What followed next was an ominous cracking noise that coincided with a twisting of the hallway--up, up; degree by degree it ticked like a wound clock until everything was upside down and quite scorning gravity--perhaps it was viciously upheld...

"Mistress...?" Melzig scrambled, falling and scooting immediately to a hall-desk nearby where his timing was perfect to catch with his head an upward falling vase. Woozy~ He spun, flipping his hands up to an earnest and desperate prayer in a resounding clap. "I swear it's not me...!"

Now... this wasn't something she particularly expected today. She was in the process of reaching for more food when the ripple shocked its way past them. Avilaria looked at the direction it came from and went to, but could determine no immediate origin.

She felt her grip on the floor shift slightly. Sensing further changes, and assuming that fighting would be futile, she wove silvery thread from her fingers and attached them to the closest wall. She spread her toes within her boots and cast a simple spell to keep attached to this surface, so while the world turned, she seemed to hang in alien balance, and she kept herself connected to a second surface.

No... this was magic a bit beyond those that belonged to Hyrule's scholars. She didn't seem to take offense to this and she believed Mezig when he refused to claim this magical anomaly as his own. When she felt the world was stable, she continued to channel energy and magic through her feet and toes so that she could cling to that surface as she walked to the door and hallway.

"Let's see where this came from..." She said. She took hold of the apprentice's collar and pulled him after her as she made her way through the room.

Only for a moment did the young mage kick and protest before he relinquished himself to the reality... --look, sometimes you're a pet. A shrug and a sigh were the essence of his folding arms as he made no effort to resist and watched his bangs reel up and lash at the top of his eyebrows again and again and again...

At the end of the hall was a blank.

... Literally. There was a sheet of white, vibrating with its hard reflection, standing where a wall of eggshell would have been. To the left the hall continued, but it was honestly hard to tell what was what. The halls seemed to take different turns than normal, but the length, the everything seemed to be somewhat shifted, but who could say for certain without a layout of the building?

Every room they came upon was a cube, tumbling and tossing side over side,
as though it was the tinkering object of some omnipotent child. Melzig, taking the first chance to slip away, fastened himself to a hallchair with the grip of a barnacle. He held his head, waiting for the nightmare to end.

.... Well, this wasn't what she expected to deal with first thing in the morning. She exhaled slowly and did relinquish her hold on the Hyrulian mage. She studied the world beyond... was this really happening right now?

Perhaps she was still dreaming. Well, if that was the case, perhaps it was best to just string up a hammock and wait it out. Perhaps she could sleep, wait for an anomaly.

Actually yes, that wasn't a bad idea.

She absently began to weave a rope between her fingers. As she did so, she kept her eye on the churning.. surrealistic series of boxes beyond. She wasn't even sure she could safely transverse it.

"Melzig? If you can, could you throw a fireball at the far wall? I want to see how it travels." If a fireball can't survive, neither can most breathing creatures.

"Right!" Melzig summoned his magical power and loosed a fast ball of orange fire at the wall in front of them that had turned into a diamond-white barrier obscure. Its energy seemed to disperse on impact, filling the wall with ripples of sunset oranges and reds, and yet it also seemed to pass right through unaffected... Perhaps it was just difficult to explain. "... I don't think it worked," blinked the dumbfounded apprentice.

"Interesting...." She spoke quietly. "It worked just fine. Thank you, Melzig."

She studied the fire and how it interacted with the world. It seemed to fly normally until it reached the barrier... passing and stopping? It seemed to go on and further. Though, that it burned was promising. Curious still, she lifted her hand to the barrier and reached for it.

She saw what happened to fire. She was curious about how this would react to flesh. She was fairly certain that it wouldn't hurt her. Fairly. And if not, she trusted Hyrule's healers.
