She seemed mildly amused at that, and licked his ear. She wasn't going to dispute that just yet, but if he still felt that way after finding someone else to share nights with back home, then she would raise a fuss. But for now, the possessiveness was enough like Sholan males when their partner was pregnant, that she would wait and see how he was after they had their first cub. And not all linked pairs had a third, so it might not be an issue, and even if they did form a triad, it was as likely to be with a female as a male. There were just too many unknowns to bother with arguing at this point. Besides, she had heard that most humans when they came to Shola felt the same until they joined the society and allowed themselves to integrate. So there was no reason at all to push. What would be, would be. In the hands of the gods. En'Shalla.

She looked confused, an ear flicking back. "what do you mean, what do I mean?" she asked. She thought she vaguely recalled that it was longer for pure humans, maybe. But even if that was so, as he keeps pointing out, he isn't human.

"Your gestational period is shorter than that of my kind, apparently...Six months..." He was floored. "What if we're traveling back to your planet when you are about to give birth? Surely that cannot be safe...assuming you are even pregnant at this moment..."

"I am not pregnant now," she assured him, "but even if I were, it would be fine," she assured him, licking at his neck. "One of my parents was actually born that way. Grandmother was pregnant while time traveling, it sped up the gestational period, and she gave birth far sooner than anyone expected. But her child was born healthy, alert, and with a fully awoken talent." she dropped her jaw in a grin. "And apparently husbands are very terrified of delivering their wives' children" she added, quite amused. "Would you be?"

"Thank you," she said, stretching then bouncing to her feet. "I need a brazier for the fire for the incense, and a place I can put a statue. I brought with me... never mind why," she mumbled with a small laugh, an ear flicking back sheepishly. "That should be enough, and quiet, of course. Then if we have any time left, maybe we can share a shower before you rest."

"I don't think that I have a brazier, however, I do have a very nice bronze bowl. Would that work? And you could have your pick of the rooms, just not the basement. Anywhere should be quiet, as you and I are the only inhabitants at the moment, and I will only be making as much noise as the dead..."

She hesitated, then nodded, touching his face gently. "Then alright, how about a room near to where you will be so that if you stirr before I do, you can easily find me?"

He nodded and leaned into her touch, "Will you need ventilation for your smoke? I could put you in the basement, as I will be underneath of the basement, but there won't be a way for your smoke to exit the area..."
