Vero looked at the open door and sighed. She walked over to close it. After doing that she changed herself into her cat form and curled up on the couch for a nap.

Arriving at the lake, Vivian looked around for Vero. Upon not finding her, she assumed the girl either got lost or never followed her in the first place. Not feeling to upset about the fact at all, she set upon helping the regulars with washing their clothing before bathing herself.

Vero had a lovely dream about catching and eating some fish and then a juicy rat. She unconsciously transformed into a dog and was chasing cars and chewing and a bone.

Sometime later, Vivian walked back into the room, in time to see Vero transform into a dog and, what she assumed, chase a car in her sleep. Not knowing what to do, she walked around, trying to find more places that she couldn't the day before.

After her good dreams were over, she slipped into her human form and started mumbling in her sleep. She had never dreamt well in that form. She let out a quiet scream in response to a memory.

Ears perking up at the quiet scream, Vivian crept out into the room where the girl slept. "Vero?" she asked quietly, afraid to startle the girl.

Vero's eyes popped open at the sound of her name being called in Vivian's voice. She sat up quickly and started breathing heavily. She covered herself loosely as she stared at the floor.

Blinking in question at the girl, Vivian sat on the floor quietly, waiting to see if Vero was okay and if she was going to explain.

It was a few minutes before Vero stopped hyperventilating. She looked down at Vivian and went over to the pile of clothing she hadn't yet put away. After getting dressed, she sat back on the couch and tried to stay silent as long as she possibly could.

Leaning back on her hands, Vivian decided she could wait a few more minutes, just to see if Vero would tell, herself. She figured that the other girl knew she could order her to tell her in a second, if she so wished.

Vero figured that willingly telling what the hell just happened would be preferable to being forced into it. She sighed and looked into the eyes of her new master. "Can I ask you a favor before I explain?"

"I make no promises, but I guess you can, if ya wanna," Vivian replied, thrilled she wouldn't have to use force to get the girl to talk.

"If I'm sleeping and i go into my dog form, can you wake me up?" Vero knew that Vivian agreeing to this would definetely deme the need for an explanation, which she was willing to give if need be.

"Uh, if I notice, I guess I can.... Mind telling me why?" Vivian was completely stumped. She wasn't sure how any of this went together at all. It was like she had all of the pieces but couldn't figure them out. It was worse than not having all of the pieces, in a way. She would know; she'd found plenty of picture puzzles with missing pieces. "I still want to know about the scream, too. Just saying, though."

Vero nodded. "You were born a shifter right? A normal kid for a while then suddenly you were a fox one day, or born as a fox?" She knew how this was relevant and was hoping Vivi would reply, making her transition easier.
