Congrats, Coal Black Smith!

Mars Attack!

About as cheesy as you'd expect.

While I'm at it, I'll admit it, I don't like Burton. Everyone thinks he's a ******** genious, but he's not. Most of his movies are pretty shitty -- just made so Hot Topic can make t-shirts with Johnny Depp on them. And I'm bored of his "goth" look.
I'm just sick of his movies and his tendencies to use the same damn composer, actor, and style. Yeah, that's right -- I said it. Tim Burton is a crappy director (and at his best, he's just mediocure)!

Eyes Wide Shut

Well, that was a weird movie and another good soundtrack. Definitely something that sticks with you.

I had the same reaction when I watched it months ago. It's great.

Watched Ingmar Bergman's Persona. Weird!

Bronson

Was good, but not great. Tom Hardy was captivating, but the script should have kept closer to the real life of the guy, who was certainly interesting enough. I think they overdid it with the clown interludes too.

The Thing

Love it. I think I might prefer it to Alien(s).

I've never seen the other two in the 'apocalypse trilogy'. That will change.

Watched Ingmar Bergman's Persona. Weird!

If you thought Persona was weird, try watching Hour of the Wolf by Ingmar Bergman. Just a recommendation to you. ^^

Anyways...

Titan A.E.

Brought me a trip down memory lane this morning. The animation is fantastic, and some of the characters are quite intriguing, but the story is flawed and it feels kind of off. Hard for me to explain why, and there's not much character development.

True Grit

I am not that big of a western fan, nor am I a fan of remakes, but this movie got to me. I thought this movie was quite an enjoyable ride with very believable characters. I'm also beginning to like Halie Steinfield, and I hope she will be in many other big movies. She's got a lot of talent.

Paperhouse (198 cool
Based on a novel. I thought it was adorable. It wasn't a fantastic movie by any means; some goofs are hard to ignore and it didn't seem to know when to end, but it was a sweet story and well put together on film.

Nowhere Boy

Ehh, it was okay. The acting was alright.
But...
I felt like there was something missing in this.
Not sure what...

For those that don't know about it, this is about John Lennon and his younger years when he became interested with music and started to make bands. It also let us know about his mom and such.

The Strange Love of Martha Ivers

Wow. This was one twisted romance movie, and it wasn't just a romance. There's a lot going on in this movie all at the same time, but I was able to see it all. Quite twisted, but great movie. Unfortunately, can't describe it more than that.
