Mizu_Kage_Hikari
Give her a reason to post, or by God, if Zidane doesn't respond to Mizu within five days she's kneeing him in the groin.

LOL, YES. xDDD

And sure, you can go ahead and do that, put this baby into a test run.

Ehh, I'm a little concerned that it feels somewhat like a punishment. Yeah, "consequence" is a word for it, but I feel that it's almost a punishment. I dunno, maybe I'm too protective of my characters. But also I know that life just happens and a consequence for that doesn't sound too awesome. I understand if it's people who are on and don't post, but there are times (like this past week) where I can't get on, or I can get on but not long enough to get a worthy post out or a post I feel comfortable with. So anyway, all in all I would feel uncomfortable with this proposal.

Well, I personally would only use this for someone like Dawn, who can post in HA three times a day but won't post in FoM for a week (she's gotten better, though), or for those times when the person I'm waiting for a response from is actually active elsewhere, but just ignoring FoM for some weird reason. From what I understood that was the general premise behind the idea, as a kind of "I've been nagging you to post in response to my character for insert-amount-of-time-here, and you still haven't done so despite being active everywhere else. YOU DO SOMETHING OR I WILL D<" thing.

As long as an absence of three or more days is announced and/or there's a good excuse for it, this GMing thing won't be put into play. But if someone isn't posting just because they're lazy or scatterbrained or Dawn, that is when it would be used. Or at least that's how I understood it. ninja

I would take it the same way. If there has been no notice given and no activity seen, then it'd be courtesy to wait, because something serious might have happened to the person. But if they didn't respond in the RP, yet they were active elsewhere or have indicated that they had ample time to be silly with friends by chatting for hours on an instant messaging service, then I see no reason not to take their strange reluctance to post as a sign that they have nothing to post, and thus it can be assumed that their character has, indeed, fallen unresponsive for a moment or two ^^.

Okay, this makes much more sense to me. XD
In this case, I approve. :3

Gee I really thank everyone for using me as such a fine example for this. stare I have mentioned before that with difference between FoM and HA for me is that it is easier for me to post in. I always got someone down my throats to post in it. When I have said before that yes I do put other things aside for HA. You all should know by now the more you nag someone to do something the less they want to it. More it feels like a chore. Less fun. And that is what it is supposed to be with RPing is fun right? That is what you guys are always going on about. So seriously get off my case.

Mizu and Zeba have the spirit of it.

Perhaps, though, instead of the automatic assumption of "It's okay to do this," people would have to ask Riokins or I first? That way, if someone really is so overly swamped with life that they can't respond, then we'd be able to inquire about it and decide accordingly.

However, I think the three day rule, where no kneeing someone in the balls (thank you, Mizu xD), should be allowed no matter what. I mean, srsly, it's only just saying "this person did nothing" and allowing the rest of the people to post.

Preeeeeeeeetty much. It's not, like, major GMing of any sort. It's just GMing to get the story floooowing.

So no, you're not allowed to GM an insta-heart attack, or some bold and vibrant Death Note-like death, after 5 days of inexplicable inactivity ÒnÓ. C'mon, I know y'all were thinkin' it.

Dawn, chill, I was teasing. You've been about as active in HA as in FoM, it's mostly Kuro giving you crap. We're all kind of guilty about this since FoM is such a new RP. The only reason I brought you up is because I was specifically waiting on you and/or Kuro (I thought it was you at first, but it turned out it was actually Kuro I was waiting on, and I thought he was waiting for you until I saw the Zidane post and realized it was something Kuro could have responded to, so instead I was in actuality waiting for Kuro and... that made no f***ing sense. God damn I'm tired. xd ) And then it devolved into the amusing mental image of Mizu kicking Zidane in the nuts, and I couldn't pass up using that as an example. Come on, you know that would be funny!

... I'm tempted to draw it now. >w> LOOK WHAT YOU DID THIS TIME, DAWN! D<

HA Announcement:

Details on Summons and how Summoning works have been posted in the Q&A, which can be found on the first page of both the RP itself and the QSD thread.

Also, and this has been true for awhile but we just never 'officially' talked about it, Magic Charging has been added to the Q&A as well.

HA Announcement

So, I was on vacation and was thinking about a few things, as I tend to do when I'm actually given the time to use my brain a bit, and something struck me. I brought it up with Kyle and found out that I was being silly . . . for about two years. In the event that any of you are like me and have been silly for quite a while, I am running this announcement through to clear up all the silliness. All of it.

Because we are basing characters off of our RL selves we are keeping the time at which the RP started "current", meaning we portray our characters acting like they've been put in the KH universe six days ago in respects to RL time. With this we can reference something that happened to us seven days ago. This also means we can reference current events/culture/Disney Movies/FF Games and the like (though in the case of recent Disney movies this does not necessarily mean we have access to those worlds, that is something yet to be determined).

However, some things to be avoided are:
Mentioning your age (because it changes)
Mentioning a temporary life status (year in school, certain personal relationships, etc.)
Mentioning anything that might create a tear in the space-time continuum 8D (as long as it doesn't contradict with anything previously mentioned you should be good)

What is not allowed for overarching plot reasons is the mention of post KHII game releases (of the KH nature of course).

There, sillies are gone. Am I the only one who wasn't aware of this? Yeah . . . I figured as much. It's always me.

Basically, you can mention anything that's happened to you recently, but whatever you do, try to avoid giving temporal/absolute specifics! If you say you're 18, then you are FOREVER 18 IN THIS RP. If you say you've never been in a relationship, then even if you have an AMAZING girlfriend now, TOO BAD. And whatever you do, please do not mention specific dates about when the RP took place! This will, inevitably, ruin it for everybody. If you say it happened in fall, well guess what, no more Christmases ever! Dx

And, as she said, nothing post-KH2. I think we might have allowed 358/2 Days, but Birth by Sleep, RE:Coded, and that new one with the 3 Ds are all out the window.

I always figured it was us when the RP started, and we had to RP us as we were when the RP started. Made things difficult, as a person grows and changes after years of RPing this thing. Never once did anyone say "RP yourself as you are now" to me. XD Quite the opposite, if I remember correctly.
