Shadow's End Forest
(It was playing on my iTunes and seemed fitting to me for some reason)

{Bobbi Nanaki .:. HT .:. Labyrinth of Nightmares}

Bobbi stared at the wall separating them and Joe for a moment before sighing. She gave Noelle a quick thumbs-up before she hefted Taulmaril into a more comfortable position on her shoulder before striding purposefully towards one of the open doors. Well, she would have strode purposefully if her legs hadn't still been really wobbly.

She paused for a moment as the door slammed shut behind her, winced a little, and kept going. She wasn't scared of the dark, but her feet certainly were, so she slowed down to a snail's pace as her eyes adjusted to the severe lack of lighting. Instinctively, she put her hand out to the wall to guide herself, but immediately she encountered one of the wires, and let out a piercing yelp that could have probably been heard three tunnels away.

"SunnovaCRAP, that hurt!" she exclaimed, placing the shocked digit to her mouth and sucking on it to relieve the tingling.

~:This could be problematic,:~ Shiva observed. ~:Oh, child, I wish I could give you a light to guide you, or see the wires for you, but I am as blind and useless as you are.:~

Not as blind as I'd be if I lost my glasses, Frost Maiden, Bobbi retorted, smiling a little in spite of herself. This trek would have been unbearable were she alone.

She walked into a glass wall.

"GODDAMNMOTHERFARTINGSUNNOVAWHALEPOOP!!!!"

Good feelings gone.

Nanaki snorted a little as the walls blocked Kyle off from them mid-sentence. Typical of the bag of bugs, not allowing anyone but himself have the last say...

"Well, it would appear we have hit a snag," he said, staring up at Jenny apologetically. "It seems we must go our separate ways, madam. I shall see you at the end of this wretched place. Fare well!"

With that, he bounded through one of the doors, having it slam closed right as the tip of his tail cleared the entrance. A few feet in, a yelp could be heard as he encountered a snare of the wires. He managed to get through, but with the amount of electricity that had passed through he felt a little numb for a ways.

{Riku Demyx LoD .:. Throne Room}

Riku barely had time for his mind to catch up with the happenings of the room before Kurt Zisa swung his massive weapons around the room. Leon caught the blade before Riku had a chance to duck out of the way, and Kichi tackled Kyla to the ground, protecting her that way. That left only one thing for Riku to do: offense. He took advantage of the halt Leon had put on Kurt Zisa's blades to dart in to the creature, well within it's range, and strike at an orb. With one blade stopped and the other occupied, that left the other four-FOUR?!-arms to interfere, but once you got too close to the thing's body it would be very difficult for it to grab anything.

Or so he hoped...

Demyx was about to congratulate himself on a job well done with the water clones when Jafar magic'd all the fallen soldiers into ONE GIANT FRIGGIN' HEARTLESS WITH SWORDS TALLER THAN ZEXION STANDING ON XEMNAS'S HEAD!!! (Which was a really amusing mental image, by the way). The Melodious Nocturne played heavily on his Sitar in an attempt to summon out a jet of water from the ground, which would have enough pressure to knock the thing's blades off course.

It didn't work.

Of course not! Demyx thought to himself, yelping in fright and dropping to the floor to cover his head with his hands. No one makes things easy for ol' Demyx! I'd want my mommy if I was capable of it!!!

Sitting back and letting the brawler-types take care of it sounded like a good idea. Better their skin than his, right?

[HT ~ Labyrinth of Nightmares]

Noelle nodded towards Bobbi and gave her some semblance of a smile. She was nervous to be on her own. Well, not as nervous as she might have been a few days ago, but still fearful. It was amazing how fast her bravery had grown . . . if not her ability to trick herself into feeling some sort of courage.

The blonde took her own door cautiously, jumping a little as the entrance was shut off behind her. It was dark in the labyrinth, but what little light there was down there was being reflected off of all the mirrors, giving the whole place an eerie glow. The agromancer could hear others shouting out in pain as they ran into the electric wires. She prayed that she wouldn't get shocked again. It wasn't a pleasant feeling. Her prayers were answered for the time being, though the alternative wasn't so great.

THUNK.

"GAAH!"

Noelle nearly fell back after bouncing off one of the very-clean walls of glass. She had run right into it, unable to see it because of how spotless it was. She began cursing incoherently in a way that might have matched Cartman's and promptly kicked the glass knowing well enough not to use her toe. The girl continued on, bouncing into several more glass walls, finding dead ends after the mirrors made some illusion of an opening, and brushing up against another wire or two. It didn't take her long to figure out that she needed to walk with her hands out in front of her.

((So, everyone can progress through the maze now, just kind of summarize your character's travel for the sake of time. Don't say you've gone far enough to be past the middle, though, because other stuff has to happen. >.>; ))

"#%&()#$&#%@)(#*$#@)(&%#()*@#&%)#($@(*&#%#@)("

That was what primarily came out of Joe's mouth, every time he hit a wire or one of those godforsaken glass walls. It was bad enough all those times he'd walked into screen doors or sliding glass doors, but this was getting utterly ridiculous!

"YEOW!"

And he was getting the urge to gnaw off his own tail if it hit another damn wire.

But, the male was at least making progress. He had to assume that, though. It wasn't like he could get a spotlight to show him the path...thought that would've been uberly cool.

[Timmy : Outside Train]

While dashing toward the genome he noticed his shield had already missed and was starting to come back to him. Timmy then noticed that the genome was already counterattacking by sending spheres towards his direction.

"Not good. Not good. NOT FREAKING GOOD!" He began to turn with his dash in order to give himself just a bit more time to dodge the attacks. As the first of the sphere came crashing into him, he was barely able to dodge roll out of the way. While recovering from the roll, his other shield had finally returned and that gave him some relief. But it was too late as the other two spheres crashed into him and exploded, sending the boy back a good distance.

He was motionless for a moment, but then began to struggle to his feet. Damn it that hurt a lot! My shields took most of the blow, but that freak sure knows how to pack a wallop in his attacks, he thought to himself as pain was still rushing all over him. "What the hell was going through your head Cory when you decided to attack the guy!?" He yelled over at the other teen all while trying to ignore his own pain.

[Cory .:. HT/BC .:. Outside Train]

Fire hot.

Cory burst from the tornado and skidded to a stop outside of it, his skin red from the heat. Fire's my kryptonite, as is magic. But at the same time, being a mage, physical attacks should be this fairy's weakness... The ronin looked over his shoulder at Timmy, grinning as he said, "What? You think I would charge into a fight without an ace up my sleeve? Keep fighting, I'll pull my trump card if I feel this fairy is worth the time."

Cory turned and charged in at Kuja again, the fire and darkness surrounding his blade now at unreasonable levels as he began to rev the engine on it. He jumped into the air, bringing the blade over his head as he said quietly under his breath, "Cataclysm..."

[Jenny :: HT :: Labyrinth of Nightmares]

Jenny gasped as a giant wall shuddered close behind Kyle. Great. Just when she thought nothing could get worse. Though she didn't know why she thought that in the first place since this was Oogie Boogie they were dealing with. She looked down pleadingly at Nanaki, as if telling him not to go but she would never voice it. She only watched as he too, disappeared into the darkness.

"I've got a horrible feeling about this..." The mage muttered to Zeba, already feeling a sinking in her stomach. In the distance she heard a light yelp, which very well could have been Nanaki running into one of the wires. Jenny almost groaned. Lighten up! She brought up the palms of her hands and lightly tapped her cheeks.

"Alright, Zee... if you get into any trouble, just shout! I dunno what we can do yet but I'm sure we'll find a way." The brunette murmured reassuringly to the Zeba. Jenny moved closer for a swift hug before running into one of the remaining doorways (just in case her courage left her)... and ran right into a wire.

"Oww!"

ღ Halloween Town | Labyrinth of Nightmares :.

"Okay Ky-HOGRAH!" she exclaimed, jumping back as a wall fell and separated Kyle from the rest of the group the moment he stepped through the entrance. Rushing towards the blocked pathway, Zeba exhaled slightly after catching the knight's faint words from behind the wall. He wasn't screaming out in pain, so he hadn't broken any bones or lost any limbs, and he had said something just earlier, so he was still alive. Hopefully.

Saying a quick goodbye to Nanaki, Zeba turned back towards the gate and took a step back, looking upwards to find the source of the sudden blockade. Maybe that bag of poop was up there, throwing these things down. Now that was a thought. Maybe she could have Valefor fly her up there so she could open a can of whoop-a**. But despite her frustration, she knew it wouldn't be wise to attack so brashly.

"Guess we're just going to have to play along, eh Val?"

~"Yep," her summon sighed, sad that she couldn't find anything else to say.~

"Okies, Jen," Zeba agreed, hugging the flutist tightly before letting go and watching her run off. "Same to you! BE CAREFUL!" she yelled after her, biting her bottom lip in worry. Jenny fought with music and song; would she be able to take care of herself? "You've got to believe in her," she told herself. "You're just insulting her by undermining her strength."

~"She'll be fine. Siren won't let anything dangerous come within ten meters of her."~

The young woman chuckled lightly, thankful for her summon's assurances. After taking a few deep breaths, Zeba spun around and headed through a clear entrance, calling her weapon along the way.

"Let's get this party started..."

{Bobbi Nanaki .:. HT .:. Labyrinth of Nightmares}

Bobbi was walking at such a slow pace it was a wonder she made any headway at all. Her low-light vision sucked so hard it wasn't even funny, so she had to walk with her feet feeling out ever single centimeter in front of her before she officially took another step, and had her hands roaming out in front and to the sides to make sure she didn't run into anything nasty again. This of course meant her hands had been zapped so many times that they were blistering, and if it weren't for her gloves she would likely have some severe burns. The uncovered fingers of her arrow hand felt like they should be bleeding, and she was almost certain that the wires had burned little cross-hatch patterns into the skin of those fingers.

How much farther? she kept wondering, and received nothing more than the feeling of an uncertain shrug from Shiva. Meanwhile, the Ice Queen was attempting to teach her Summoner a basic Blizzard spell, however Bobbi was so focused on the path ahead of her that they were making no headway there.

Nanaki was faring pretty well in the tunnels. Being the creature that he was, he had excellent vision even in these ill-lit tunnels, and had learned how to recognize when one of the glass walls was appearing. He was having some issues with the mirrors here and there, mostly because all of the reflections confused his vision, but he was learning that when that happened, he needed to just close his eyes and feel his way along until he found another opening. His biggest concern was those electric wires, which stung him repeatedly. He had this annoying tingly feeling all over his body from the many shocks he had received, but his fur had luckily protected his skin from any severe blisters or burns from the repeated zaps.

Unfortunately, for about the third time, he had encountered one of those wires with his nose, and he was currently rubbing a paw over the painful sore on the tender skin.

[Maggie ; Beatrix : LoD : Throne Room]

Beatrix clenched her teeth as the hearts gathered, forming one giant heartless blocking them from Jafar.

"Watch out for the blades!" she called, just as the creature began swinging them, getting into a defensive stance herself, ready to block with her sword. The impact sent her skidding back a bit, but she held onto her footing, somehow managing to remain standing.

As the massive scimitar like, sharp sword thingamajiggy was swinging towards her, Maggie didn't hesitate in the slightest. Sure, she felt a rush of panic, but adrenaline was pumping now thanks to that fight with the guards, and she was 'warmed up' you might say. After all, she was a monk, physical fights were her forté.

In fact, although the magic was gone, she hadn't even noticed it, she was too busy avoiding that swipe, monk style! A quick dive, and she rolled right underneath it, bringing her up closer to the heartless where she planned to unleash a Cluster Kick (roundhouse kick) as long as the big guy didn't move on her. But seriously, what were the odds of her missing? The thing was HUGE.

{ Kurt Zisa ~ The Fury of the Desert }

Cloud's attacks seemed to bounce right off the golden armor, leaving Kurt Zisa almost entirely unaffected, though the attacks were damaging. However, the Heartless' swing continued without hesitation, attempting to sweep through the others. Leon, despite strengthening his defense, was still knocked off of his feet by the blow, though it certainly hindered the blade's sweep as Jon and Kyla were safely out of the way. Shang's assault was thwarted by one of the free arms literally smacking him aside. Axel's swift strike at the massive creature's joints went practically unnoticed, as the joints themselves were just as guarded as the rest of his body. John's powerful blow to one of the sphere's barely managed to crack it before the remaining free hand smacked him aside as well, in the process completely preventing Riku's attack.

Maggie's kick, though powerful, seemed to do even less than the sword attacks due to all the armor.

As Kurt Zisa brought his arms back, he seemed to twist all six of them into an odd angle, preventing any further attacks on the orbs... and then unleashing a wild, spinning attack with his blades in a vertical circle, twisting them around his body in an almost protective manner and threatening to gravely injure anyone within arm's reach.

[Kuja : HT/BC : Outside Train]

"Your parlor tricks are far from masterpieces, boy," Kuja taunted in response to Cory's claims of a 'trump card' before watching as the teen leapt in his direction, his blade enveloped in the contradictory cold-fire that he was so oddly bound too. Once more, the spheres of light spun 'round, and with a confident (perhaps even bored) smirk, Kuja muttered his spell, which went unheard as the engine roared.

Suddenly, as Cory neared, insane gusts of wind wrapped around the Genome protectively, forming a powerful Tornado; the spell quite literally created a gray, impenetrable funnel that reached into the sky for a few moments, protecting him and sending debris everywhere. After the spell dissipated moments later, Kuja was nowhere to be found.

[Cory .:. HT/BC .:. Outside Train]

"... Mark 2!"

Cory released the attack regardless, propelling himself backwards from the wind and sliding to a stop on the ground... Only to fall to one knee.

He was fatigued- tired from the short "battle". Why... do I feel so heavy all of a sudden?... His breathing became labored for a moment, holding his hand to cover his mouth as he coughed. He felt ill, something he hadn't felt since he awoke in the Underworld. He looked at his hand, noting the coagulated darkness he had coughed up... This.... must be a side-effect of coming back to life. That's it... The renegade ronin threw the oozy darkness to the ground before rising back to his feet, the blade still at ready in his hand.

"Stay alert, Timmy, and keep an eye out over your shoulder. After all, fairies are known for their sneak attacks from behind~"

{Kyle(II) : Land of Dragons : Throne Room}

As he watched the blade pass under him safely, he breathed a sigh of relief. He could have been cut in half. Landing safely, he rolled to the side, trying to get out of the reach of those massive arms of his. He just wasn't liking this. There was no way to get through. He couldn't even send an Earth Fang to try to attack long distance. This...this was ridiculous.

"So, any idea on what to do?" He shouted, figuring that it couldn't hurt to try to get a strategy going. After all, there didn't seem to be any way of getting through that armor of his to get to the orbs.

[Timmy : Outside Train]

Timmy felt a second wind coming to him as he saw Cory lead another charge against the powerful foe. He gave himself a slap on the face and was about to charge. Suddenly Kuja was out of sight. The Genome was nowhere to be found, but Cory told him to stay on guard.

"Aye sir!" he said while getting in a defensive stance and frantically looking around for any sight of their foe.
