The boy flashes a bloodthirsty smile that's eerily similar to the rai-chick's. That smile, coupled with the glowing scar on his cheek do wonders for making little Dalcon appear totally unhinged. "Talking about my mother is a good way to get your throat torn out," he says matter-of-factly, but he keeps all his attention on Iri, waiting to move in.

Ready!
Iri skids to a halt and makes an attempt at taking advantage of the woman's open back. She summons her naginata into her hands, the weapon materializing out of the air. It's a visual distraction. Three air bombs, the last of them, fly up and at her back. They detonate as soon as they come close enough to do damage to the woman's skeletal structure or open up a few wounds. Iri knows it won't incapacitate her, but it will give her another moment of distraction. The objects that had been following her wind blades will meet the woman at the same time the last three bombs go off. Two will aim to enter her mouth, the other two will each take a nostril. Once inside, the tiny air bombs can't be sneezed out, coughed out, or removed any other way other than Kaze manipulation. They mean much more than an itching nose and a scratchy throat.

The woman laughs through a scream as the charges detonate, and uses the explosions to giver her a boost forward. if the tiny bombs could move quickly enough, they would enter her sinuses with no problem, but if they were too slow, they would just detonate on her skin from the force of the speed. ((I'm assuming)) She noticed Daizing's channeling, and didn't mind it so much. She aimed to move around Iri and put her between Daizing and herself. From what Iri could see, the bombs didn't do much damage, but Dalcon should've been able to see the open wounds on her back that were quickly filling back in with a thick black blood, a shade that matched her skin exactly.

Seeing the woman start to regenerate, Dalcon rushes at her frantically. "I remember!" he says excitedly. "Daedalus!" Leaping at her back, he thrusts his sword at her shoulder, trying to cut away at where the wings would join her shoulder by dragging the point through that area.

When she first started working with the air bombs, pressure from their exterior would have been a problem. Instead, Iri holds the shape of their cores, losing some concentration on her immediate surroundings in the process, to keep them whole. And they make their intended target. The bombs travel up and nestle themselves within the woman's head. That's when Iri grins at the woman.
"I just gotta ask, how well do you fight without a head? Can you heal from that kind of injury? Or are you not monster enough for that? Move again and I'm pulling the pin, damn it!"
She hopes the promise will keep the woman from hurting Dalcon.

The woman reacts instinctively to the sword in her back. She pulls her shoulderblades together, the hovering blades slamming together behind her, knocking Dalcon with the flats to bat him away. She looks at Iri with a wicked grin as the wound on her back oozes shut, pushing the sword (if it was left there) out.
"That's a good question. I wonder. How about we test it out?"
She relaxes, her wings falling low against the ground as she shoots a blade in Iri's direction, one creeping around her back towards Dalcon.

Despite getting smacked around, Dalcon snatches his sword back, using it to deflect the blade coming his way. Immediately he launches himself back at her, attempting to shear her left wing off.

The naginata spins. A splinter of wood flies and sparks emit from the collission, but the blade is deflected.
The woman's remark does not encourage Iri.
"What do you mean by that? Either you have no value of your own life, or you haven't learned much about anatomy."
Something stirs in the back of Iri's mind. Does her anatomy match mine? Most things die when you destroy the brain and sever the spinal cord. Those two combined are more than powerful enough for that. But if she's different, then I've got an entirely new problem.
Iri resorts to telepathy again. "Kid, really, you might want to back off. The effort is valiant, but dead fools don't make heroes."

The woman turns her back to dodge the boy's attack, his blade passing straight through the gap in her left 'wing'. As she turned around, she would swing her right wing around, the blades chasing each other and compounding on whatever they hit.
"It could be the latter, now call off this boy before I end him, too!"

Dalcon jumps back nimbly as she sweeps her wings, taking a passing swipe at one of the blades that made the wings up. "I bet they call you Daedalus for reason."

Iri points her naginata at Dalcon. "Really, you need to back off of her. If this works anything like I think it should, you're not gonna want to be in range of it. And if you don't leave her alone, I'm gonna stick you in a room with a recording of my understanding of you playing over and over again. I know how you feel about that. To top it off, I'll duck tape you to the floor with a pitcher of sweet tea just out of reach. Stop messing with the creepy lady now?"
Then she averts her attention to Daedalus. "Mind telling me what the point of this is. I don't kill without a damn good reason. You've already given me plenty of reason, and I'll probably receive orders to off you, anyway. But I'd rather know what's behind this first. There's got to be more than a good challenge."
Iri understands the need for a challenge. It's a good part of why she came to the Academy. But, if this woman doesn't care if Iri makes an attempt at blowing her head off, then something more has to be at stake. Otherwise, she can't be more than a nutcase.

"Nope!"
Daedalus cracked her knuckles as Iri taunted her and bolted for her throat with blazing speed, leaving Dalcon behind to swing at thin air. Her wings were tucked in behind her body, rai boosting her forward, lighting the grass on fire again.

"If it was gonna work the way you think it would, whatever the hell you plan on doing, I'd get on it, regardless of who's in the way," Dalcon shouts to her as Daedalus zooms off. "I'm tellin' you, take out her wings!"

The second Daedalus moves, a rush of air shoots Iri upward and out of the way. A mental pin is pulled, and the air bombs go off. Iri crosses her arm and naginata in front of her, winces, and prepares for the results. She would listen to Dalcon, but doesn't know about his theory. Can she destroy the blades? If they're anything like the woman, they could be damn near industructable.

The woman's head is blown clear off (Hah, irony) and her body tumbles and rolls on the ground, the blades following after her, a couple sinking into the ground. Daedalus lies in a heap in the field, apparently dead, the metallic 'wings' laying harmlessly on the ground.
