Yesterday however i was up from 7am until 2am today.
Woke up at seven so i could attend a job fair and apply for a couple of new jobs, got home and grilled out for lunch and then i had to go to work until 10pm, left work and went to a party where i played Rockband 2 for about 3 hours. That is all.

Started the day with a spectacular sunrise as a backdrop for 4 orioles and lots of hummingbirds at the birdfeeder! What a beautiful way to start the day! Just finished #4 in a series of identical, except for color, shawls.....I must make 15 before the big family get-together on Memorial Day weekend. That huge hook is quickly becoming a really good friend, along with 40% off and 50% off coupons from Michael's. It takes a one pound skein of yarn (less than $5) and about 9 hours to make one.

Today I went to school and took my AP Statistic Exam. It was three hours long. I went to the library to make sure my books are not overdue. I cooked dinner and now I have asked to join this guild because being environmentally friendly is wonderful and life fulfilling. I also am searching for advice on how to improve my profile so if anyone would like to see it and give me some suggestions through pms, please don't hesitate.

I practiced crocheting again today. I'm still learning, but I have this idea for doing large squares designed after stained glass, in fine-threaded crochet. I don't even know if it's possible, but I'm going to figure it out.

Making homemade pasta later. Wish I had access to a garden so could use my own herbs on it.

Reopened my bank account to prepare for a strict budget.

Actually laid out the basics of my budget. Details to be filled in when I get my first paycheck from the job I start next Monday.

Did not strangle the kids I was taking care of this morning. Very tempted, but cooled off with the thought that I am trying to be more patient than their parents.

Today I woke up in a good mood and went to school with a positive attitude. I was able to correct someone who thought that CO2 doesn't contribute to global warming. I took a placement test for the college I want to go to but I think I failed the math portion.

I learned my mother thinks that no one will want her 20 year old cloths (that are still in alright condition) or my cloths (that are old but new because I never liked them) and she refuses to give them to the Goodwill.

And she laughs at me when I said that if its beyond wanting they can recycle cloths for paper and home insulation.

Her second excuse is that they're too far.

Do the donation bins really go back to the good will?

Do you really get a tax reduction if you donate to them? Is there paper documentation for that kind of stuff?

If you do an itemized deduction on your taxes you can claim them, but unless you donate large amounts of clothing it isn't going to make a big difference in the rebate/repayment at the end. I think you have to ask Goodwill for a receipt if you want to include it in your taxes. The US government has changed the rules on clothing donations so now you have to look at their list of items and see the allowed amount for that item. Like each shirt is worth $2 and a pair of pants is $4.

I put music on my grandma's mp3 player for her, since she still doesn't know how to do it herself.

arrow I weeded the section of the garden I knew my dad would not have a fit over.

arrow wrote my resume for a local garden center and a greenhouse that I never knew existed until my mom showed me. Its...so...big...it was so intimidating.

arrow I learned that grass thatch...makes a nice bedding for plants. *hides the ugly soil in yard with thatch*

arrow I discovered there was thatch...was dragging a metal rake behind me and it was pulling up thatch and I was like: "Hey....maybe I can bed my strawberries with this. oooooh pretty...."

Over the last couple of day's i've fixed a car, fixed a computer, helped someone clean out their garage and their friends garage, and i was paid for that with 3 electric motor's (big ones) and a cheapo grinder that i'm going to sell for 10 bucks. One of the motor's is going to get mounted to a table top and turned into a big sharpening grinder to sharpen knives, scissors, lawnmower blades and things of that nature. The biggest most powerful motor is getting turned into a grinder as well in order to grind out blades faster.

Spent about 4 hours in the garden today, divided it up into sections and tilled them all up (it was all super hard and compacted due to our clay content and the fact that it hasn't been tilled in about 3 year's) built a new bed specifically for the lettuce this year, and then spent about an hour tilling in Horse manure and such and then leveling the whole 30x30 plot. Sunday...planting will be done...and fence repair because someone took down half our fence 2 year's ago with a tractor and we just haven't gotten around to fixing it yet.

Yesterday, I took one of Illiezeulette's "starving third-world orphan showers." XD

Also, I tried cooking young tumbleweed, but I didn't really like the texture. Maybe it would be better as a fresh salad green.

Another thing I'm learning (well, I knew it before, but now I'm REALLY realizing it in a way I never appreciated before) is that PLANTS DO NOT WANT TO BE EATEN!!!!!!! Our nice safe grocery store veggies have been defanged and declawed. Out there in the wild, everything is either trying to make you sorry you ever tasted it, stab you with thorns and spines, poison you with oxalic acid (some edible plants should be cooked and eaten in limited quantities because of this - lol @ raw fooders) or lower your fertility/libido. (Yes, ladies and gents, phytoestrogens are a defense mechanism to stop plant-eaters from making little plant eaters.)
