((You read my mind. *giggles* ))
Shyla spun around in a small circles while dancing around ontop of the fountain. She turned her back to the fountain to look at the flowers once again. Just then she heard someone shout in her face and it startled her. "Yeeek!" She squealed and fell backwards into the fountain, landing with a tremendous splash. She sunk to the bottom of the fountain, it being a rather deep one.

Shyla struggled to resurface in the fountain, that was actually deeper than it appeared to be. She couldn't seem to push herself above the surface of the water. Ther dress she wore rather hindered her movement, not too mention that it weighed a ton now that it was soaked to the max being filled with the water from the fountain. Through the haze of the water she saw a figure, blurred because her vision was obscured by the water, leap onto the rim of the fountain. It seemed to be looking down at her. Was that what had scared her? But how come she had not seen it before? She was able to see it now.

(( Sorry, I just noticed that you replied to Adam... heh... )) "Of course, milord. I'll go right away!" Adam said, putting on a false show of bravery. "I'll contract only the best dressmakers and and caterers and so on for your wedding, have no fear, and your bride will be even more wonderful than I'm sure she is!" Adam bowed, then ran off, hoping against hope that nothing he had said had offended the King.

Snowy Zombie (( Sorry, I just noticed that you replied to Adam... heh... )) "Of course, milord. I'll go right away!" Adam said, putting on a false show of bravery. Adam bowed, then ran off, hoping against hope that nothing he had said had offended the King. "....Hello down there?" Cheshire crouched on the edge of the fountain and peered into the water with a slightly annoyed look on his face. "...Don't tell me you can't swim...Cheshire Cats hate water, you know."(XD Would it be too tired for Adam to startle Cheshire into falling in to the foutain as well?)

(( Y'know what, I'm just gonna wing it. )) Adam hurried through the garden, taking great strides to get there in a timely manner. Hopefully, timely enough to please the king, though that was hard to do. He passed the fountain with little more than a second glance, then stopped mid-stride. He carefully backtracked, then peered into the fountain. He thought he saw something... white. What? Oh, oh no, someone was drowning. Surely everyone knew either how to swim, or to stay away by this point! Adam sighed inwardly, then jumped. It had taken him but a moment to dive in, clothes and all, and though he was a poor swimmer, he could get this person back up to the surface. Hopefully. He extendeda hand as he swam, hoping the person was still conscious.
(( ... WOO ))

((YAYNESS!!! THE RP STILL LIVES!!! AND SO DOES MY CHARRIE!!! blaugh ))
Shayla struggled vainly, trying to resurface, but the dress she wore was much to heavy. The thick material it was made of had soaked up quite a bit of water which caused her to be extremely weighed down. She tried to keeping going for a few more moments but then she became tired, as her dress was rather heavy, and thought about giving up. But the then thought came to her. Why didn't she try to remove the dress?
She became hopeful at the thought and very nearly over excited herself. She strecthed and twisted and finally she was able to slip the dress down over her shoulders. Almost there She thought. Just a little more.... Over her torso. And there! Off of her legs. But as she finally freed herself she started coughing from over exerting herself and the air that was left in her lungs was lost and water was drawn in instead. Which caused her to cough even more. she clapped her hands over her mouth. As she struggled to control the coughing she saw a hand reaching towards her. It frightended her at first but then she remembered that if she didn't take the chance she could very well end up dying. So she reached out a hand and grabbed hold of the arm coming towards her.

Adam took the hand. It was smallish and delicate, and Adam was almost afraid he'd crush it as he swam upward, propelling the person behind him. Of course, he knew that if it was human, he couldn't crush it that easily, but it was hard to remember that. Adam gasped, taking deep breaths as he broke the water. With one arm on the edge of the fountain, he used his other arm to pull whoever this was up. Surprised he actually managed a rescue, Adam sighed. And his... rescuee? Yeah. His rescuee was gorgeous. Blonde hair, big blue eyes... and... not wearing clothes? Adam blushed furiously. "Um... here you are, then... you shouldn't go... jumping into fountains!" he reprimanded to the best of his ability.

As Shyla's head broke the surface of the water she started coughing again, attempting to get out some of the water she had swallowed and was shoking on. Then once air refilled her lungs she opened her eyes, blinking and looked around. Her eyes met those of her rescuer. She saw him looking at her as well and then she noticed his blush. She tilted her head to the side, curious as to why he would be blushing. He had just saved her from drowning. As the thought occured to her an overwhelming wave of gratitude washed over her and she moved forward and threw her arms about him, hugging him tightly. "Thank so much for saving me! You have no idea how grateful I am for it." Then she heard him mumble a few words and leaned back slightly to look at him. "I didn't jump in. I fell in. And it was not on purpose." She protested meekly. "Something came up behind me and shouted and I was so startled that I lost my balance and then I fell. And then that's where you came in." She smiled shyly.

"It... I was... Who came up behind you here?" Adam finally stated clearly, helping both himself and the girl out of the fountain. "No one is supposed to be here at all, except for the King and his courtiers. Why are you in here, even?" Adam's eyes jerked open wide, and he gaped. "Oh- oh! You must be... the girl! Shyla! The Queen, your Highness! Your Grace! I'm, I'm terribly sorry, I-" Adam cut himself off, blushing furiously.

Shyla looked around and then back at him. "I-I...I don't know. Whoever- or whatever- it was seemed to be veiling itself from me so that I could not see it." She stepped out of the fountain, still oblivious to the fact that she was not dressed. She jumped slightly as he started questioning her, unsure of how to answer. "I was just-" She started to reply and then his expression changed and it rather frightened her. "Y-yes. I am Shyla." Her own eyes widened as he called her 'Queen', 'Highness', and 'Grace'. What exactly did he mean by those? She was not royalty. She started to protest then she remembered that she was to marry the king. "Oh!" She gasped softly. She saw his blush and shook her head. "There is no need for an apology."
